Toshiko Ito vs Grace Kenning

Toshiko Ito charged, ready to hit a knockout blow. A knee strike to the skull would be more than enough to finally end this match up for good, and to give her a victory. She wasn't as quick as she normally was for her heavyweight size, that pain in her leg made sure of it. But she needed it to last just for a little while longer. Just one more move to last through this fight. As Toshiko came running at Grace, her opponent was able to catch her before she could hit her move! Ito was stunned, completely thrown off that her opponent was able to make such a move and even lift her onto her shoulders! Ito tried to fight out, thrashing, until she was suddenly spun around.

And the Twilight Edge's chin knocked directly into Grace's shoulder with the Ken-Stun! Toshiko's body springs back up to a standing position, only for a moment, before she topples onto her back! Her whole world spun, eyes wide opened in pain. The throbbing of his head and jaw just overcoming her as she lays there, unable to do anything now. She was so close, and if she had it in her right now, she would be cursing herself for getting caught like this so close to closing out their match. Instead, Toshiko Ito could do nothing about it as her world around her spun and circled, completely stunned and seemingly battered entirely too much in this match.

Grace dropped Toshiko with her finisher, falling with her and laying on her side afterwards. The crowd was watching both of them to see who could come up again after that move, it was one of Grace's strongest moves but she looked too weak to capitalize. Grace had a moment to recover from the beating she'd taken, losing the strike fight with LAW's top striker, and she tried to roll herself on top of her before she could get up. This was her best chance to win now, Grace was forcing herself to not waste it.

She would bring her arm over Toshiko and try to get herself on her chest to put some pressure and make it hard for Toshiko to kick out if she could still fight. Trying to move too much right now was exhausting and this was the best she could do. She laid there letting the ref start to count to see if she would finally win this match.

Kazuko Ito and Mikasa Takeuchi were beside each other as they saw Toshiko go down. Kazuko shouted some rapid-fire Japanese at her fallen half-sister while Mikasa just turned away, awaiting the inevitable. The Twilight Edge remained on her back though, her world a haze. The referee was getting ready to start counting both of them out until she saw Grace Kenning start to make a move to pin the Japanese striker. Toshiko felt the weight of Grace on top of her chest, pinning her down. The referee counted!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THR--"

Toshiko managed to kick out, almost on instinct as her shoulder shot off the mat, allowing her to rest on her side. She groaned and let out a whine as she curled up, her foot kicking to try and deal with that pain. She still felt like she was pretty out of it, but she didn't want to lose, even with this match with deeply questionable interference as it is. Ito wanted to overcome Grace, and prove she was still a valuable competitor. She could not lose--especially with her half-sister at ringside. But she was finding it hard to focus and even get off the mat right now.

Grace stayed on Toshiko, waiting to see if her last move did the trick. She would be disappointed by Toshiko's last second kick out, turning to her side to break from Grace, leaving both of them exhausted. Grace felt even worse after the kick out knowing she had to do more, even with Toshiko who she respected a lot she was starting to feel drained. This match was still going, but one look at both fighters said it wouldn't be much longer. Grace tried to push herself back a little so she could push herself up to her knees and sit up, eyes on Toshiko.

he would climb behind her and try to sit Toshiko so she could move behind her and sit down. Then she would place her legs next to Toshiko's waist before she would try to pull her head back and trap her in a chokehold. Grace wasn't the kind of submission master who could finish anyone like this, but she was tired and she needed some rest and she needed to make sure Toshiko didn't get as much rest, so she would lean back and try to trap Toshiko in the choke hold and force her to fight out of the hold or risk passing or tapping here and now.

Toshiko Ito was on the mat, barely moving as she tried to recover. Her body felt heavy, and every deep breath seemed like it tired her out as much as it attempted to rejuvenate her. She wasn't sure how much she had left in her, but she knew she needed to try. She could vaguely hear her stable mates screaming for her to get up. Their thoughts mattered the least to her right now, but she knew they were right to tell her to do so. There wasn't much she could do to resist Grace at the moment, and she had to hope this took out as much from her as she could.

Then, she felt Grace grab hold of her. With a protesting gulping yell, Toshiko tried to pull herself away, but Kenning was still able to get to her. She felt the legs on her waist and groaned loudly, trying to break away, but then her neck was grabbed as Ito pushed her body off the mat. More strained groans and whines escaped her lips as she was reaching out to the group. She had the brunt of Grace's weight on top of her. It was so difficult for her to even stay upright, trying not to fall over. She knew that would be it. Even was Kenning was trying to lean back, the Twilight Edge wouldn't let her, gagging now as she fought it.

Instead, Toshiko would see Mikasa Takeuchi's face in front of her as she pointed at the ropes, clearly screaming at her to grab it. The words still in a haze. The crowd was loud. It was harder to hear. It was enough to help guide her, at least. She inched forward, letting out more strained yells. She extended her arm, attempting to grab the rope. But she needed to get a little bit closer. And then, after a moment, she summoned her strength, screaming as she reached forward, her body collapsing forward with Grace's weight on her as she slapped the bottom rope, getting her rope break!

One would hope that with the both of them exhausted they wouldn't be able to resist going back to the mat again, especially when one of them was trying to force the both of them back down to it. Sadly Grace found that this wasn't the case, Toshiko was somehow strong enough to stop them from fall back while she resisted the submission hold. Grace tried squeezing harder and pulling back with all her remaining might, for once it made no difference. Toshiko was not going to let herself fall over, even when the chokehold increased and she found herself with less and less air every second she didn't stop fighting until her hand finally found the ropes keeping herself alive in this match.

Grace sighed, almost sounding defeated and let go, falling back to rest, but keeping an eye on Toshiko so that she didn't attack. Instead of going for her again she would try to limp away so that she could get up, she knew fighting on the mat wouldn't do her any good, so instead she would wait to get another shot at her when they returned to their feet and would run and try to throw a knee the moment she was ready.

Toshiko kept her hand floating under the bottom rope after she slapped it, maintaining her position as the referee forced that break! Ito grunted and groaned urgently, hoping for the submission to be released. And, in time, it happened, and Toshiko collapsed onto her side, panting loudly. Her face mashed into the mat as she had a hard time finding her strength right now. Grace had dislodged herself from Ito, and Toshiko no longer had an idea where she was, despite her teammates yelling at her and pointing wildly. She was trying to ignore them both though.

Her hand grabbed hold of the ropes, using them to slowly drag herself up to a standing position. She was shaky, barely able to do so and desperate for the ropes to keep her upright. Sweat continued to pour down her body, almost like a river at this point. Her shuddering, deep breaths were more of a struggle. She was able to finally turn, take a few steps forward, only to be nailed with a knee strike!

Toshiko would then stumble backwards, barely able to keep it together. Her body hit the ropes, and it willed her to push forward, off of them. That momentum carrying her as she spun, her movements far less practiced and precise as before, as she spins with a Discus Forearm, attempting to crack Kenning right in her face! She wasn't sure how much longer she could stay standing, but she would throw a good hit at her foe while she could!

Grace's running knee hit Toshiko's chest and knocked her back into the ropes. Grace briefly felt frustrated seeing the ropes keeping Toshiko from failing, keeping her close enough to strike back at Grace when she least expected it. Which ended up happening, with the ropes to guide and push her Toshiko came back at Grace and turned her body, making the already dazed Grace too confused to predict what was coming, and when she finally realized it she was too slow to react to the incoming forearm.

"Ouugh!" Grace groaned, rocking back and around after the blow connected, making Grace stumble away from Toshiko, facing the other way. She fought to keep herself on her feet, with how tired she was she'd drop like a log and struggle to get back up, she couldn't turn and try to strike with Toshiko either unless she wanted to drop and get a black eye before she went down. Her only solution was to throw her leg back with a mule kick and try to use her power while keeping some distance between them.

Toshiko Ito turned and threw that Discus Forearm right at Grace Kenning, cracking her in the head. The Twilight Edge would then lean forward, arms down as she panted for breath after earning herself an opportunity without Kenning striking at her immediately. Ito's body was sore. Her focus was uneasy at best. But she was close to winning. She just needed to follow up. As soon as she stepped forward, to grab hold of Grace for another move, she was cracked in the midsection with a mule kick!

With a loud gasp of pain, Toshiko was down to one knee, shaking her head as sputtered for breath. She had no idea what to do at this point. Her breathing was compromised, but she couldn't just sit there and take it. Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to make a move though. Mustering what she had left, she would swing her body around, extend a leg, and try to sweep out Grace's leg from behind to put her down on the mat again too! She could keep trading strikes like this if she needed to, so long as her body let her at least!

Grace hit paydirt, dropping Toshiko to her knees once more after the kick caught her abdomen. Grace turned back to her while she was still dazed, wanting to capitalize on her falling over when Toshiko went for one last desperate attack. Kicking out at her legs and catching Grace's thigh when she got close, knocking them off the floor and turn Grace sideways before she fell on her hip.

"Ngghh!" Grace moaned, laying on the mat next to a still kneeling Toshiko. This made Grace try to act quickly to counter Toshiko before she could do anything like get on top of her for a ground and pound, swinging her leg up to try and catch Toshiko's head and following that with an elbow to her skull.
