Toshiko Ito vs Grace Kenning

Toshiko Ito was becoming more violently angry, her eyes clearly showing just how irritated she was by this vice grip on her body and the taunting she was receiving from ringside. There was no telling just what she would do when she got free, which certainly helped Kenning to make her decision to hold on tighter.

The Twilight Edge was forced to her feet, and Ito thrashed even more, feeling like she was getting closer and closer to breaking Grace's grasp. Already mulling in her frenzied mind what she would do to level Kenning, she was just a moment away...

And then Grace heaved her up and over in a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Ito's body hit the mat hard as she arched her back, letting out a cry of pain, trying to roll onto her side to put little pressure on her aching spine. This was not the ideal position she wanted to be in. And she was certainly not ready to fight back just yet.

Grace dropped Toshiko down to the mat, ending her angry thrashing in the hold and getting the assassin to stop and consider the pain she was in for a moment. While she tended to her back Grace would get back on her knees and look over at the outsiders, wondering what they could possibly want. If they wanted to help Toshiko surely they saw that their presence and words weren't helping her right? Toshiko was still dangerous but she seemed unfocused and unbalanced at times, which didn't really work for the style of fighting she was used to seeing from her. She glared at both of them, but looked at Toshiko again and realized that she still needed to keep her from getting up.

Grace would move in behind her and place a knee behind Toshiko's back before grabbing her head and pulling her back so she was slightly arched against the knee, her other leg would place itself on top of Toshiko's leg to try and slightly trap her and keep her back slightly extended so she couldn't straighten herself out and escape, then she raised her free hand and would start to throw down axe handles to Toshiko's stomach.

As Toshiko writhed on the mat, her back throbbing in pain from her rough landing, Grace was already looking at a rather amused looking Kazuko Ito and Mikasa Takeuchi. They received a glare for their commentary at ringside, which Grace likely didn't enjoy just as much as Toshiko didn't. Kazuko had a sly grin on her face as she leaned forward, resting her elbows on the apron and propping her head on her hands, speaking up loudly enough for Grace to hear. "If you give me another cross look like that, I'll smack that look off your face hard enough you'll have to spend the next match trying to pick up your teeth," said Kazuko plainly, sounding completely confident that she could do so.

Mikasa almost laughed, covering her mouth but added her own remark, waving her hand in a shooing motion at Kenning. "And I won't really stop her," added Takeuchi, not making so much of a threat on her end as she shrugged. "It would be funny though, so I'm not going to discourage you from making those ugly faces at us. Maybe pay more attention to your opponent though, hm? Like a professional would. You ever been a professional before, Kenning?" asked Mikasa with a chuckle, patiently watching the match as Grace would continue her attack on Toshiko.

She was wrested and pulled back against Kenning's knee, making her cry out in pain. And as she tried to break free, her head was being held to keep her from being able to get away. Then, fists started to rain down on her stomach. She grunted and gasped in pain with the first few before reaching up, blocking, and grabbing hold of Grace's forearm with both hands. She gave the limb a twist before pulling her one hand back and then sending a palm strike directly towards her forearm with a lot of force and releasing it. The intention was to inflict enough pain to stop the pounding on Ito's stomach while hopefully allowing that as a distraction to break away from her opponent.

The two outside the ring were barely fazed by any staring, taunting her from the sidelines. Grace would normally be more professional and ignore those remarks since she knew engaging was pointless, the exception came from how the two seemed to not care about the match at all. They weren't speaking to aid Toshiko, they only wanted to insult her because Grace was now sowing them disdain. "I've never seen anyone like you who's bite matched the barking. Save those threats for when you're the one standing in this ring." Grace said. She chose to ignore the comment about her being professional, she was too aware of the danger Toshiko presented and kept punching her. Even with her eyes on her opponent Toshiko didn't stay down for long, the first few punches landed and made Toshiko groan from the belly punches before she quickly blocked her last punch and tried to stop Grace from throwing anymore by grabbing her forearm and then twisting it.

"Nggh." Grace grunted, feeling the limb twist in the direction Toshiko desired. She couldn't get it free or turn it back with Toshiko holding onto it and before she had any time to get away Toshiko would pull one hand back and then drive her palm into the side of her forearm. "Gaangh!" Grace screamed while her arm was almost bent out of place. She snapped back and stepped away from Toshiko while pulling her arm close to her, freeing her to get some room of her own.

Toshiko had managed to smash Grace's forearm with a well-placed strike, causing some damage to it and keeping her for from continuing to pummel her. Letting out a strained gasp for air, Ito would try to sit up, but ultimately fall back, gritting her teeth.

Mikasa watched on the outside and then clicked her tongue in disappointment. "See? That's what I professionalism gets you," said Takeuchi before gesturing to Toshiko. "Maybe you'd get some actual success in this league if you kept your focus like Toshiko over here!"

With a dismissive scoff, Kazuko rolled her eyes. "As if Toshiko is any sort of effective measure for success. Sad to see it's just a battle between two losers. All self-righteous barking. Not a single bite in her." The green-clad girl said the words with disdain, making her stance very clear.

Toshiko would continue to struggle on the mat before pushing herself up, letting out a frustrated grunt. She was growing increasingly more tired of the barbs from her stable mates, and the sooner she finished Grace off, the quicker she could end that. Holding her midsection with one hand, she slowly made her way to Grace.

When she got close, she would then rather abruptly turn and throw a spinning back kick directly towards Kenning's stomach. She wanted to blast the wind out of her and give her another moment's rest before trying to follow up. The Twilight Edge just hoped she could stagger her opponent enough to do just that.

Toshiko's 'friends' were mocking Grace again, she was starting to feel frustrated by the words they said where it seemed they were here to ridicule them. Grace couldn't imagine what purpose that served and she didn't really understand pointless insults. Grace shook her head and turned to look at them before standing up, this time she saved her words and would turn to Toshiko to try and defend herself. Toshiko was faster than her, soon after she turned her way Toshiko was spinning around with a back kick to Grace's belly before she knew what to do.

"Uuuggh!" Grace groaned, folding up and bringing her hands to her stomach while she stumbled away. Toshiko's kick had knocked the wind out of her, and to her shame her being focused on the outsiders might've played a part in that. She coughed and tried to get some air back so she could stand up again, but she had a feeling Toshiko wasn't going to let her get up that easily.

Toshiko Ito's stiff kick echoed out on impact with Kenning's stomach. Instantly, the Twilight Edge fell to one knee, holding her own midsection still. Throwing a glare out at Mikasa and Kazuko on the outside, the blue-clad fighter would slam her hand on the mat before pushing up to her feet, taking deep breaths.

Grace was slowly getting up as well, but Toshiko knew she wouldn't be able to allow her to simply do what she wanted. Ito needed to act first. Stepping back a few paces, she waited until Kenning was in perfect position. "Stay down!" commanded Ito.

And then she rushed forward and leaped into the air, sending her heel directly towards the rising Grace's head! She attempted an axe kick, wanting to send her foe right back into the mat with a punishing strike!

Grace's arms remained around her abs, on her knees and trying to rise before she was ready made her feel sick. She couldn't believe how decades of hard work to strengthen her body were so easily undone by Toshiko's might. It didn't bother her as much as it should...what did bother her was how this talent seemed to be held by the two outside, who Grace was still angered by. She heard Toshiko meeting her on her rise up and could only look and notice that one leg was in the air before the axe kick did its work.

"Nggghhh!" Grace screamed, the boot on the back of her head made her skull feel shattered, her head almost falling off when she was knocked back to the mat. Grace was stunned, she didn't try to rise again after the kick that followed the blow to her stomach. Between the two of them it was enough to force her to take a moment before she tried to move again.

Toshiko sent her heel down on the back of Kenning's head, landing down next to her opponent. She stayed seated and closed her eyes, knowing that Grace would be down for some time now. She took a few deep breaths and shook her head. She was angry, frustrated, and wanting this match to be over, and she knew she was losing her cool.

"Is that all Toshiko?" asked Kazuko from the outside. She kept her mask held under her chin with a finger, smirking at her half-sister. "I think you've lost a step."

"Enough!" shrieked Toshiko, turning to look at Kazuko, looking positively livid now. Any attempts to calm herself now dashed at the cutting remark from her sibling. She would force herself to her feet and turn to walk towards Kazuko, kicking the lower rope closest to her. "You wish to see what I can do!?" yelled the Twilight Edge.

Stomping back to Grace, she would roughly grab her by the hair and rip her to a kneeling position. And she prepared to unleash her frustrations on Kenning. She threw an open hand chop towards Grace's face, then did a quick side step and thew a kick towards her chest. A second, and a third followed. And then Toshiko Ito threw a knife-edge chop downward towards Grace's chest to follow. And then finally, the Japanese Striker would spin as she tried to finish it with a spinning roundhouse kick to the side of Kenning's head! She wanted to show Kazuko precisely what she could do and unload her fury on her opponent at the same time! And Grace was unfortunate enough to be in the way!

The words surrounding them continued, long enough that they started to annoy Grace just as much. This should've been a battle of equals and they were getting heckled by people who clearly would never be satisfied with her work. Toshiko didn't deserve this and Grace was sick of hearing it, but as contradictory as it sounded right now Grace needed to take Toshiko down to shut them up. She knew Toshiko would keep fighting until the bell rang, and Grace trying to focus on the outsiders would only be an insult to her no matter what Grace intended. When she was pulled up her mind was agitated with ways to bring her down and finally help the Twilight Edge by kicking her ass. Grace was pulled up to see Toshiko furious to prove herself, and she started by chopping her face.

"Aaahh!" Grace screamed slipping back after the chop knocked her away. She was still backing off when Toshiko followed that with a side kick. "Uggh! ough! Oogh!" Grace gasped, retreating back from the kicks she was back into the ropes. But now Grace saw a chance, she couldn't get out of this volley and so she had to throw herself into it. Bouncing off the ropes Grace would get reckless in trying to end this and would rush in as Toshiko went for her chop to to try and throw a return right to Toshiko's face to drive her off.
