Backstage, many staff members in charge of lighting, recording, and so forth clamored to get the set for this high-profile interview just right! Lexy Alan was having her makeup done in her trailer. As she finished up, she blew a kiss to herself in the mirror.
"Our biggest show yet! Two top LAW stars...let's make it count!" Alan would say to herself before heading towards the interview set in the studio. There was a live crowd in attendance. A crowd made up of various backstage crew and some select fans. They applauded as Lexy made her way over to her interview table. Three chairs were propped up behind it. As Lexy waved and smiled at the camera, she snatched up a set of papers and took her seat!

"Welllllcome everyone to Lexy's Lexinomicon! Today we have a very special episode for you! We're going to be interviewing not one, but TWO of the biggest names on the LAW roster today! Alaina Sanders-Haines and Katherine "Super Kitty" Hart! These two ladies are tough customers with a laundry list of accomplishments to their names! And they're both joining us today for an interview that fans will surely remember for some time!" Lexy would point to the cameras sternly before motioning to the right to an area off-camera.
"Please join me in welcoming our first guest! The Amazon! Alaina Sanders-Haines!"

Alaina knew she had an interview coming up and that she was going to be dressed formal. It had been a while since she really did herself up like this and honestly it felt pretty good! Alaina had a yellow gold dress with long slit up the side showing plenty of leg, a pearl necklace, a couple rings in addition to her wedding/engagement rings, as well as a pair of pearl white heels making her nearly 6'0'' tall adding to her 5'9'' height. Her hair was done up and she had a bit of makeup on as well as a mild shade of lipstick, a far cry from how most any wrestler or fan was used to seeing the amazon.
Alaina came out smiling to Lexy and the cameras, waving and blowing a kiss to the camera before winking. To really ham it up she did strut a bit swaying her hips with one hand on her hip the other up in her hair like a pinup girl. She shook Lexi's hand and nodded to her before taking a seat. "Lexi it is great to finally meet you, and thanks for having me here tonight!" Alaina said with a cheerful smile on her face. She wanted to see what Kat was going to wear knowing that if the two really dressed nice along with Kat erring on the side of flaunting her figure the way Alaina did it would be quite a photo op as well as a fun interview.
"I can't wait to answer some questions, and I hope everything has been going well for you." Alaina added as she waited for Kat to arrive.
The live crowd on the backstage interview set cheered and whistled as the Amazon entered the frame and walked up to Lexy and the interview desk! She was certainly turning heads, Lexy's included!
"Mama Mia! Alaina Sanders looks like a million bucks! Thank you again for joining us, Alaina! It's not often that we get to see you dolled up and looking as ravishing as you do now! Thank you again for giving our viewers and fans yet another thing to write home about! And thank you for joining us on Lexy's Lexinomicon!" Lexy would say with an enthused smile as took Alaina's hand and accepted her handshake. To Lexy, the handshake was firm, no doubt a sign of The Amazon's signature formidable strength! Lexy gathered her papers and settled into her seat.
"Everything has been going swimmingly! I can't thank you and Kat enough for bolstering our ratings just by appearing like this! Speaking of Kat, let's see how her outfit compares to your own, shall we? The sooner we have you both on the scene, the sooner we can get down to business! But first!" Lexy would motion off to the side in the direction opposite the one that Alaina had come from.
Kat would come onto the set! She did some sashaying and hip swaying of her own as she held her arms out and danced her way towards the interview chairs and table. Kat would wink towards the cameras and smack her hip before taking her chair and sliding it next to Alaina's own. She wore red lipstick and red pump heels. Her dress was a lavish and luscious light purple/lavender, much like her usual wrestling gear. Her dress had slits on both sides, showing off her wide hips and powerful defined legs, not to mention her sizable and toned arms and back. Her entire frame was stunning. And of course, Hart donned her signature mask and her LAW World Tag Team Title. She clips the ends of the golden belt and set it on the table before taking a seat next to her longtime friend and rival Alaina Sanders.

"Alaina! Honey, it's been a minute, hasn't it? How are you? How are the kids? How's Charlie? Let em know I miss them all!" Kat would ask with a huge smile on her face. After hearing they were well, Kat wouldn't spare the chance to follow up with Lexy as well. She and Lexy had a number of previous interviews together since Kat had become a LAW champion alongside The SWAT Cats.
"Lexy, I know we see each other basically every week, but I have to say that it's a pleasure working with you. I'm super excited for this! And I'm happy we worked out getting Alaina on the show. My girl and I go way back?"
"Always a pleasure, Super Kitty! Speaking of going way back, after I've recovered from the shock of having two beautiful and capable top LAW ladies in front of me, why don't we explore that! Alaina, Kat, would either of you care to go into the history you two share together? You've both been wrestling quite a while, right? Alaina's been wrestling for decades!" Lexy followed up.

Alaina looked Kat over and she really did look amazing in her dress. Alaina actually felt a bit underdressed and liked Kat rocking the double slit. In her younger days she may have and honestly she was regretting not doing it tonight. "Oh Charlie is good, he has been doing a lot of running around and actually has helped both Tina and I do some scheduling. Between him doing that and Dan balancing out things with his clients as well as his girlfriend I swear the Haines boys make great secretaries." Alaina said with a smile. "Anna and Carl are also doing well, they are getting big, they are closing in on 9 years old now. They all say hello too as aside from mama they do love to see you and Irelia in action as well. Hell I think you may actually have dethroned me as Carls favorite grappler." Alaina added with a chuckle.
The two were seated and Lexi asked a question that made Alaina smile. They did have quite a history and the amazon decided to answer first with her recollection. "In 2012 after wrestling a few years in Japan I came back to the USA to wrestle in USWW the first big promotion I ever wrestled in. This young powerhouse and technical grappler was champion and I figured I would see who I stacked up against her as I signed a one year deal feeling like I was going to retire after that. I wrestled Kat there and she beat me in a non-title match in my third match back in USWW. I worked my way up and got a title shot against her, winning the title back and then my final match in USWW was another title defense against Kat which I managed to narrowly win before retiring as USWW champion leading to my 2013-May 2017 retirement which ended once I showed up in LAW. I came back and Kat was in her prime form. I was at the lighter end of my wrestling weight and Kat had dominated me in challenges as well as in the ring until I firmed up, bulked up and got to this figure here. At 187lbs this is the heaviest wrestling weight I have ever had consistently and Kat really taking it to me in solo and tag matches early on helped me get back to where I need to be to be the best again even though I am.... maybe a few years older than most of the roster." Alaina said with a wink and smile.
Kat was all smiles. She chuckled in her seat next to Alaina when she heard about how supportive Charlie and Dan had been in helping with the kids and staying on top of things at home. The note about Dan's girlfriend made Hart's ears perk up. But she continued to listen to her friend go on. Kat was very curious to hear about the kids. It has been some time since she had seen them and babysat for Alaina.
The idea of being either of their favorite wrestles melted Kat's heart. She placed a hand on her buxom chest and let out a deep "Awwww". Lexy giggled to herself and the live crowd attending the interview reacted in kind.
As they shifted gears and Alaina answered the question concerning the deep history she shared with Kat, Kat nodded in her and reminisced about those days. The luchadora looked up towards the ceiling. She curled her index finger under her chin.
"Wow, I don't think most LAW viewers were aware that you two had met on so many occasions prior to signing here!" Lexy had chimed in after Alaina's very comprehensive recap!
"Oh absolutely. Iron sharpens iron, right? I'd wrestle Alaina any year, any day of the week. I've pushes myself to new heights every time we've gone at it. Lots of men and women in the back could stand to learn something from the Amazon. I really mean that!" Kat would ready as she gestured towards Alaina and placed a hand on her shoulder whilst facing Lexy and the cameras.
"Don't bring up age or weight either, girl! Look at you! Look at you!" Kat would gesture to Alaina. She'd point to the cameras to zoom in on Sanders very defined arms, back, and shoulders.
"Outmuscling 95 percent of the roster with ease. I don't care what you say, girl. You're as strong as you ever have been. I've been in the ring with you more than anyone at LAW as far as I know! You're as stronger and more capable a wrestler now more than ever. Let's hear it for The Amazon! Give her a round of applause!" Kat got up and started clapping. She wanted to make sure that Alaina would feel the love. Lexy joined in as well. After a round of applause, whistling, and cheering, things eventually settled down. Kat sauntered her way back into her seat.
"Thank you Kat, Alaina, again. This is by far the most wholesome interview one done on Lexy's Lexinomicon. Let's keep it going, shall we?" Lexy would say as she arranged some papers in her hands.
"We've had an amazing intro but I believe the purpose of inviting the both of you was to guide the discussion more towards your futures at LAW here rather than your pasts." Lexy mused.
"Let me see if I can guide the conversation there. For the both of you, as individual singles stars at LAW, top stars at that, what would you say your big, immediate next goals are?"
"Hmmm I think I know where this one's going..." Kat would say as she glanced at Alaina.
"You wanna go first on this one? Or should I?"

Alaina grinned and smiled. She was beyond flattered at the love Kat and Lexi were showing her. She stood up and bent down but walked over to raise Kats hand too. "Thank you but don't sell yourself short. You are downright amazing in the ring but also outside the ring as well. You aren't a fake or conceited jerk like many women on the roster are." Alaina said before tapping her finger against her chin. "Perhaps we can have a fun training day at the home gym? A nice group of ladies coming together for some workouts and spars could be fun and the kids would love seeing you again for sure!" Alaina said with a laugh as she made her way back to her seat.
She then heard the question and smiled. "I can take this first I guess. I came back in 2017 to prove I am still one of, if not the best lady to step between the ropes in a wrestling ring. I want gold around my waist. Topping that list is beating every woman they throw my way to earn a shot at Astrid and the Heavyweight Championship. I know you probably want that too so I do imagine we will be seeing each other in the ring again soon. Just don't be surprised when the amazon slams the kat around and is standing tall at the ringing of the bell." Alaina said with a smile and wink towards the camera. "Seriously though, I love our matches. Even when I lose I still feel like we put on a main event level matchup even if we open a weekly show."
"I can already guess you will ask us why we think we deserve title shots so I will just say look at my record. Who has wrestled as many matches as me? At my age I am still proving I will go out to face any challenger or step in when a wrestler is needed because of a sudden injury. Who has more wins than me in LAW? I am coming up on the big 50 win mark and I don't think anyone else is there yet." Alaina said with a shrug.

Alaina taking the time to make sure that Kat got as much of a spotlight as she did bring a smile to the luchadora's face. The two were playing off each other nicely. Lexy got comfortable in her chair and just let the two superstars exchange words.
"You flatter me, Alaina! Really, I'm humbled and honored to get that kind of praise from you. From a legend like you, it really makes me feel like a legend in the making. I can't think of anyone I've valued more as a friend and a rival in the ring." Kat looked to Alaina endearingly.
"I'll absolutely take you up on a training day! I'm sure Aurora and Tracy would love to come! And I'm sure we both have tons of friends at LAW that would come by!" Kat leaned forward towards Alaina. She seemed to really be excited by this idea!
"And you're absolutely right. Win, lose or draw, whether it's the opening match of the night, the beach, sparring at your place, or the main event of We Are LAW, you will always be at the top of the list of women I wanna throw down with! We've definitely put on some of LAW's most unforgettable classics!" Kat would raise her finger to The Amazon and wag it to tease her a bit.
"Just don't you forget that I'll not only match you slam for slam, but I'll also make a pretzel out of you the next time we wrestle, Miss Amazon. You had some trouble getting your bearings when you first signed with this company, but I'm pretty sure that after you really started to hit your stride and after you managed to shake off that ring rust, I'm pretty sure that I'm the only woman that's managed to tap you out at LAW. So don't you sleep on The Super Kitty." Hart would finish with a wink.
Alaina had gone on to not only mention her desire to face Astrid for her title, but she delved into it. She justified it. The bodacious Amazon was quite clear. She was bent on cutting a path through the heavyweight division and at the end of that path, at her destination was the status of being LAW Heavyweight Champion! Fans and reporters in attendance took note of this. Kat's smile did not waver. But she did close her eyes to think before speaking on that matter. She puckered her red lips before sitting up straight to weigh in.
"I'm gonna try not to mince words on this. And I apologize Lexy, because I realize we're moving away from the question/answer format here but I'm sure that you agree that this subject is important." Hart would gesture to Lexy before turning to face Alaina and the cameras behind her.
"Alaina, we both want the same thing so I'll state it plainly. I want to win the LAW Heavyweight Championship. And I want to win it from Astrid Ostberg." Kat would pull her tag title belt down from her shoulder and prop the belt up on her thighs. The gold belt rested against her chiseled, underneath her sizable chest. Kat would take a look down at it before looking up again.
"I realize that probably sounds greedy of me. I'm a LAW tag team champion. I'm living the dream alongside two of my very best friends on this Earth. I'm pulling double duty. Making my mark and defending these belts in tag competition while being active and formidable in singles competition. I'm going up against heavy hitters and top tag teams in the division. Heck, I want to hang onto this belt long enough to defend it against you, Alaina- you and Tina."
"I don't think there's any question about whether or not Alaina Sanders deserves a shot at the Heavyweight Belt. Like you said, no one in this company is outworking you. Hey, if the rumors are to be believed, you already have some history with Astrid, right? I've never met the woman face to face. The most interaction I've had with Ostberg is some short but wholesome interaction on social media some time ago. I don't know if her attitude towards me would have changed between then and now. I don't know if you'd prefer that I keep your name out of my mouth, Astrid. But I hope that if and when you watch this, you'll permit me to say this much."
"I'm not going to pretend that I know on any kind of personal level, but I've seen your matches, I've seen you step up where you feel you feel you need to. I've seen your rise to the top of the division, and I've seen you pay your legacy, the title, this company, and your fellow wrestlers the respect that each of them deserves, respectively. And I approve. Please make no mistake. When I say that I want to win that title from you, this is not about any desire for me to be Katherine-two belts. Whether I still have this belt or not by the time I get to face you if and when the opportunity arises is irrelevant. I will not rest until I become this company's first Grand Slam Champion and etch my name into LAW history and professional wrestling history. And I will not be taking any shortcuts to get there. I want to take on the most credible and the most capable champions and challengers from the start of this journey to the very end. And right now, the strongest and most capable champion in my estimation, from where I'm standing....is Astrid Ostberg."
After a brief pause, Kat would lock eyes with Alaina right in front of her.
"When I say "the strongest and most capable champions and challengers", that includes you, Alaina. If I have to get through you to get to Astrid, I'm more than happy to. If I have to wait until I'm champion to face you and defend the belt against you, that's a dream come true. Just like it'll be a dream come true if and when I put this belt on the line against you and Tina Armstrong." The luchadora would pat the title belt on her lap confidently as she stared into the big brown eyes of her career rival and longtime friend, Alaina Sanders!

Alaina smiled and nodded, sitting up tall herself as she listened to Kat speak. Kat made a lot of sense and her claims were also justified. She had an amazing track record and did force Alaina to tap out when Alaina was rolling at full momentum. Alaina could not deny that at all. She gave Kat a ton of credit for pulling it off.
"Kat everything you said is very true. You did make me tap. You are a LAW Tag Champion. I have not had any LAW gold after losing to Linda Halloween in the heavyweight tournament final. I did avenge that loss though and you seem to speak of a tag match against The Thundergirls as if a win for you is academic. Unlike many challengers we have a victory against the SWAT Kats, a claim very few can make." Alaina said with a grin. "I also have something going for me, I have beaten you for a title before. You have never defeated me in a match when a title was on the line." The amazon added and paused to let that fact sink in.
"I know Astrid is a tough woman and our interactions include a spar where we both went hard and she came out on top. I won't hide that at all. She is amazing, and comes from a line of amazing wrestlers since I have actually faced off against her father in Europe as well as formed a mixed tag team with him for a time. However you don't seem to fully understand what I am willing to do to get that heavyweight title. Or the tag title for that matter. I will take on anyone, anytime in any setting every damn day if I have to and you know its true!" Alaina said, sounding like she was getting fired up although she took a second to calm herself, clearing her throat and looking at Lexi. "Heh... um, sorry for derailing the interview. Lexi if ya got any questions I am gonna keep my mouth shut until ya ask something."
While Alaina didn't chat as much as Kat did, she sure knew how to make those words count. The barb about Kat not having a win against her when a title was in the line. It stung. Anyone that was paying close attention could see the glimmer of light and confidence leave Katherine's eyes for just a second when The Amazon paused to let that fact sink in. Kat nodded ever so slightly in acceptance. She avoided eye contact for a moment. The Super Kitty wore a contemplative expression on her face as Alaina continued. More and more it was becoming clear that Alaina and Astrid had history with each other- history that made it feel like Kat was butting into their rivalry.
When Alaina finished, she made an effort at course correction. An effort to return direction and control of this interview to Lexy, the interviewer.
"Oh! Um, yes, of course! No worries, Alaina!" Lexy said in a hurried tone as she shuffled some papers around to try and find the next point to move on to.
"Lexy, if it's alright, I wanna respond, actually. I'm not ready to move on just yet." Kat would say as she finally found it within herself to raise her head and make eye contact with Alaina.
"Alaina, let's analyze that for a second. You said that I have no idea what you're willing to do to get these titles and cement your legacy. To be honest, that hurts. As someone who has a lot of history with you, I think I have a very good idea of what you're willing to do, what mountains you're willing to climb, what rivers you're willing to cross to make sure that you retire at the top of this industry. And you insinuating that I don't know hurts almost as much as that truth bomb you dropped on me just before that." Kat would adjust her posture in her chair. She leaned forward and got closer to Alaina. She wanted this to feel every bit as personal as she could because it very much was a deeply personal matter to her. No dress or makeup could mask the seriousness in her tone or expression as she continued.
"You're absolutely right. Just like me, and unlike a lot of less savory men and women at LAW, you're not willing to lie to get your point across and I respect that. Each and every single time, when everything was on the line, when all the chips were down, when it came time to defend a title against you, I came up short. I've never beaten you when it really counts. And that has been a tough pill to swallow."
"But I've been swallowing it each and every single day. I've been living with that truth because it helped build me into the woman I am today. Without the chance to go to war with you in the ring like we have many times before, I might not be one of the finest wrestlers on the roster today. I'm arguably the best we have at this company and in the business of pro wrestling. Alaina Sanders, without the title match loss I've suffered at your hands, I might not have won a title BEFORE you did, at this company!" Kat would stand up with no hesitation and raise her golden tag title belt high. The light reflected off the grand prize for the tag division before she continued.
"I've learned that lesson. And while I view you as a good person and I always will, there's something that's on my mind, Alaina. When the time comes again. When it's all on the line for Astrid's Heavyweight Title, for The SWAT Cat's tag team titles, when I use that experience to best you this time and you're the one that has to swallow that pill, how are you gonna handle it? Like I said, I like you and you're an amazing person, but I do think there's enough evidence out there for anyone paying attention to know that you are NOT graceful in defeat. Like all great champions in sports, you're a sore loser, Alaina. You always have been." Kat would draw closer, nearly getting nose to nose with Alaina as this rivalry rekindled something fierce!
"If...no, when I successfully defend against you....how well will you bounce back knowing that Katherine Hart is able to not just hang with, but beat the Alaina Sanders that can win the big matches....how are you going to handle it when I prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm more than a match for the best version of you, Alaina?"

Alaina saw Kats reaction and realized that she crossed a line she shouldn't have. She listened as Kat spoke, and much of it was true. Hell hearing that she helped push Kat was actually flattering. However Kat stood up and dropped her own bomb on Alaina and held that title belt high Alaina looked up at it, seeing her reflection in the shining gold. Kat had something she wanted.
"Okay.... you are right, you do know what I am willing to do. You also do have a championship at LAW before I did. I was proud to see you win that knowing that the best team in the tournament did win. You are also right that I am a sore loser. I have tried to work on it but I am out to be the best woman to ever set foot in a wrestling ring, and yes I hate losing. I hate coming up short even when I give it my all. It burns me. It drives me. Maybe some day you will face me and beat me at my best but I promise you Kat that there is no way I will be laid out in defeat when we face off with any sort of title on the line. I am the amazon, I have won titles all over and wrestled in so many matches lesser women would have broken already just from the match load. Yet here I am still going, still dominating. I love you and respect you but this feisty, grumpy old sore loser of a lady is going to stand in triumph over you and hold a title belt high just like you just did." Alaina said pressing up against Kat and even taking a small step forward.
"If you do beat me I will probably fume, hit the gym harder than I ever have, reach out to congratulate you and realize how far you have come... then I will try to do whatever it takes to fight you again and stand tall in victory while you are laid out flat on your back." Alaina added still looking right into the eyes of Kat.
