Sakura took a deep breath in preparation for tonight. Lately she was actually starting to have some success again in the ring with two back to back wins and her new manager Benny had suggested this as her next step. An open challenge. A declaration before the LAW roster to fight her in the ring. In his words it would go a long way to the LAW audience in showing Sakura was unafraid to face anyone at at any time, and that more than likely wrestlers who took open challenges were newer or lower card wrestlers wanting to build up their name and reputation but would be pretty likely to lose to someone like Sakura.
Admittedly though the former idol was more than a bit nervous. Promos were one thing but Sakura by nature wasn't especially confrontational, and while she had no problem going out before others it felt.. off to do so looking for a fight. But she had a point to prove, she needed to dig he way out of the hole she was in. She needed this. So after one last deep breath to ready herself Sakura would look up with a determined expression and head towards the guerilla position as her entrance music played. Spoiler
Coming out and posing before the crowd with mic in hand they immediately cheered in response. A few probably thinking they were about to get an impromptu concert. Unfortunately that wouldn't quite be the case as Sakura simply began to make her way down the ramp. But she would at least do so with a sway of her hips and light, rhythmic dance like steps as she made her way down the ramp to the ring. Hopping onto the ring apron Sakura would then leap over the ropes and into the ring proper, turning and showing off her ring gear until she was in the center of the ring, raising the mic to her lips. "Hello everyone." Sakura said just to be drowned out by cheers, making her blush bashfully before waiting a moment to let them die down before finally clearing her throat to speak. "As most of you may know I've had a bit of a losing streak lately, not unlike the start of my wrestling career." She said the crowd going down and getting quiet in response before Sakura perked up. "But I'm making a bounce back! I've already gotten two wins since breaking that streak and I plan on continuing that momentum!" Sakura declared confidently making the crowd erupt in cheers once again. "So that's why I'm out here! I'm challenging anyone that's up to it in the back to a match! If you think you can stop my rise just try it and I'll send you flying!" Sakura declared confidently much to the cheers of the crowd while she pointed out at the entrance ramp waiting for a response.
Alaina was in the back and geared up in her two piece tiger print attire enjoying the show. She had not been on the card but was always prepared in case someone was needed to fill in.
Now? The LAW Heavyweight Champion was watching Sakura Hagiwara, who was on a winning streak, calling out anyone and everyone to face her. Alaina smiled and slowly made her way to the gorilla position. If some orher women really wanted to face her they could. However if the roster was gonna drag their feet? Well, the audience wouldn't have to wait long.
Soon Alaina's music played and she came out smiling as she had a moc in hand, standing tall at the top of the ramp. "Hey Sakura, you have done impressive work in that ring lately. I really want to see how impressive it is myself first hand. This offer to face you applies to everyone correct? Even me?" Alaina asked with a smile on her face.
Sakura waited an agonizing few moments, waiting for someone to come out, but what if no one did? Would that mean nobody saw her as a threat let alone worth facing of their own volition? What if someone horrible and cruel came out? Sakura would certainly try to win but what if? just what if? Well the what ifs would soon stop as an entrance music came on the speaker system... and Sakura's jaw would soon drop right away as the owner of said music then came out.
Alaina. Sanders. Haines. The LAW heavyweight champion. Of all the people to accept this open challenge of hers Alaina may have been the worst possible option. Mic in hand the champion would make her way down to the ring with a confident gait while Sakura suppressed the urge to run away.
However running away after making such a challenge would be far worse than if no one accepted. So when Alaina asked Sakura would shakily raise her mic up to her lips. "I... yes... Yes of course it applies to you Alaina.... If you... find it something you want to do." Sakura said while subtly offering a way out, more for her sake then Alaina's thought as she gulped one last time.
Alaina kept walking confidently towards the ring. "I need to stay sharp to defend this again and you called out anyone. You have been on a little streak and have won decisively." Alaina said as she climbed into the ring and moved her title down to the apron for the timekeeper to come get. She stood tall in the center of the ring tensing up her body to show off the extent of the muscle on her 50 year old frame. "I say lets go! We're both wrestling well and besides you are a former singing sensation who just hammered Peggy McIntyre with ease. How tough can a fifty year old lady be huh?" Alaina said holding her arms out as she tried to rouse the audience to cheer even more. "Come on Sakura, lets go!"
Sakura gulped again as Alaina came closer and closer to the ring, speaking as she did so and admittedly praising Sakura as she did so. Something that would have made Sakura smile with pride any other day but today? When faced with the legend before her? It felt hollow and premeditated, like honey coated words before springing terrible news to a person. But she had to try and stay strong so she raised her mic to her lips. "Alaina.... I don't know if you're overestimating me or underestimating yourself... But I did put this challenge out for anyone and if you answered it... then I'll take you on too!" Sakura said tossing the mic to a attendant outside the ring before focusing on Alaina and putting her fists up in preparation.
Alaina stood tall and stepped towards the center of the ring with a smile. "All right Sakura, lets go! Show me what ya got and know that I am all in on this." Alaina said tensing up her body to show off her fit, defined muscle. She nodded to the referee and pointed to the timekeeper.
"Ring the bell!"
Alaina stood ready to go and looked Sakura in the eye. Sakura wanted a challenge and Alaina was here to provide just that as a small smile crept across her face.
Sakura gulped again as Alaina stood tall and made it a point to show off her well defined arms. "I would expect... nothing less." Sakura said in a somewhat resigned way, hands raised and ready in anticipation as the bell then officially rang. Immediately Sakura would dart in towards the heavyweight, veering off to the side at the last moment, swinging her leg out as she did so to start sending repeated kicks at Alaina's leg, all while strafing to the side as she did so to try and stay out of Alaina's range of motion while laying kicks in to weaken her base.
Alaina smiled as the bell rang and she moved towards Sakura only for the Japanese grappled to dart to the side and start kicking her leg! Alaina winced as the first kicks landed but the third kick came and Alaina grabbed Sakura's leg with her left hand! "Nice try Sakura!" She said before yanking Sakura towards her with her right arm extended looking to send her to the mat with a short arm clothesline out the gate! Alaina was not lying when she said she was going to give Sakura her all.
Ducking Alaina's initial attempt to grapple and weaving around the woman to unleash some hard kicks to the woman's thighs the idol would think this was working for a moment, up until her leg was grabbed and she was pulled into a clothesline! "Ugh!" Sakura cried out in pain as she hit the mat in pain, wincing as a result, clearly rocked by the sheer force of the blow from the Heavyweight Champion!
Alaina sent Sakura down to the mat and now she wanted to keep her there a bit. She jumped up and extended her legs trying to come crashing down on top of her with a leg drop! Alaina was trying to surprise her with this impact right after the clothesline hoping to lock in a headscissor hold right after!
"So how are things going so far Sakura? Not quite like other women you have wrestled huh?" Alaina said as she kept squeezing. She even threw in a bicep flex and wink to the crowd to keep them fired up as her thighs choked away at Sakura, the smaller woman still in the clutches of the amazon. For now at least.
