"Ladies and Gentlemen we'd like to welcome a very special guest at this time, Major title contender and one of the many participants running for a place on Apex, Grace Kenning!" The interviewer said, introducing Grace. A short introduction and one that suited her, Grace was never one for big speeches even if she was good at giving them sometimes. Stepping into the camera's view and giving a small smile that almost looked shy, Grace gave a thankful nod to the interviewer for their time. "So it's been awhile since we last saw you in action Grace? With some rumors that you left before you were announced to be trying to make a play for the Openweight championship. So we have to ask what was keeping you away?" The interviewer asked.

"Well ever since my match with Selene Sugar I started getting back to work outside of LAW but I always planned to come back, and while I can't guarantee I'm back full time I can promise that I will make my way to Apex, you see having fought Linda Halloween for her championship I have to only finish one match to qualify, but I don't intend to make my road easy just because it's shorter. You see I know that it's easy to get complacent and my time away has made it seem like I plan to cost off a title match I had years back. If I'm coming back I want to do it the same way I've always done it, proving that I can take on anyone, and if I'm going to give the series my best work, I might as well knock down a few pegs of people who need to get knocked around." Grace said confidently. "So you have someone in mind?" Asked the curious interviewer.

"No one in particualr but some people who are joining the event have rubbed me the wrong way. As you know I feel this is a competitive sport built on toughness and respect, every name on that list is tough in their own way, but many are lacking in respect. Be it for others, for the company, the fans or the profession that makes them money and I can't just sit here and let them ride off towards Apex without giving a few of them some black eyes. Girls like Summer Samson, Eileen Sommers, Ryori Bleck, Veronika Noir, Emaline, that VIP chick, Selket, Korra, Cyber Widow, Kathleen, Skylar Jones, Dana Ashford. You know, the list goes on longer. The point is, many people in this event enjoy using tricks deceit or hurting people beyond what's necessary and want the big spot to vindicate their behavior, those are the kinds of people we can't let represent LAW at the top and so for any name I just mentioned or anyone who thinks like them I'd love to see you try that stuff with me because once I beat you'll I'll expose you for what you are and how people like you have no place in this business." Grace said finishing up her big speech.

A few moments after Grace Kenning had made her speech, a slow clap was heard from off screen and Vanessa I. Price stepped into the frame in a black outfit that showed off her midriff, and a jacket on with sunglasses, noticeable when the spotlight formed on top of her. Looking highly unimpressed, eyeing up Grace, unimpressed, before taking the microphone from the interviewer and shooing at her.

With an arrogant smile, VIP looked over Grace dismissively. "I must know... who wanted to hear from Grace Kenning of all people?" asked the fashionista, shaking her head as stared at Grace. "No, I can't truly expect a single person to actually care about... what is it? Some sort of ridiculous crusade against people you don't think are being respectful enough?" questioned Vanessa, shrugging as she looked to the side, laughing briefly. "Oh, no, no, no. When I find a single woman here worth respecting, they will achieve said respect, but I don't think it will be you, Grace Kenning. How unfortunate for you that I just happen to be in ear shot to hear you acting like a brave, strong woman, when you're just a little failure, unable to achieve a championship--no different than this Openweight Championship which I'm sure you'll fail spectacular at getting. Perhaps instead of trying to be the wrestling police, because I promise you that it's just something else you'll fail at." Then, with a smug grin, she winked at the taller woman. "Spectacularly."

Grace had made her call out and was planning to leave it at that, but of all people Vanessa Price, who she had called out in the middle of that had been the one to hear it and decided to jump in, acting as smug as Grace had seen from her and being the ever annoying brat. "Well LAW asked me to be here and I think they know their audience." Grace said as Vanessa kept going on with her insults. Basically mocking her for her failure to win the Heavyweight title and acting like she would have the same success for the Openweight. Grace was unimpressed, VIP was just another cocky talker at the end of the day and she would never let herself be intimidated or bothered by her insults.

"Well if anyone is making a crusade it's you with your Torture rack matches, stringing up girls to do all those awful things to. My past struggles don't define my future ones and I'm better for the experience, I can learn from mistakes, and they help me make it to Apex faster, you will be lucky to survive three matches, most of these girls are tough and you might not have what it takes." Grace added staring VIP down. "I look forward to your attempts to try because even if you don't fight me, someone's going to get their hands on you and when they do you'll know you brought it on yourself." Grace finished expecting VIP to back off or try to throw more insults before she was done.

Vanessa I. Price stared right back at Grace as she spoke, showing no sign of fear or concern. In fact, she looked just as smug as ever, thinking absolutely nothing of the words this bigger girl was trying to throw at her. "It's cute..." said VIP, rolling her eyes.

"It truly is. The constant... assumptions and underestimating of me. Each and every time someone thinks they can take it to me, they end up learning a very bad lesson, Grace Kenning. A very, very harsh lesson in what it means to underestimate Vanessa I. Price. The way you need to learn from your mistakes... and the way I don't make mistakes, is what separates us," stated Vanessa bluntly, smirking at Grace and letting out a soft laugh. "But you seem so very confident... now don't you? So sure that you can take me on. And oh, you just want me to learn a lesson, now don't you?"

With another laugh, VIP got right in Grace's face, looking up at her. "Let's see if you have what it takes, then...? Because unlike you, I can just simply ask it without mincing worthless words. Face me in a match, Grace Kenning. And if you are so confident you can defeat me... then why not try it in a Torture Rack Match? Knowing full well that I can force you right on it and then do whatever the hell I want to you. Just what do you say? Are you... tough enough? Do you have what it takes?" Vanessa smirked arrogantly, flashing her teeth. She was satisfied with her challenge, and she wanted to see just how sure that Kenning was herself.

Grace knew that Vanessa's arrogance wouldn't end from an exchange of words, it was the action that would be what really decided things and Grace had accepted the chance to take on anyone she had called out. Vanessa wanting to challenge her to a Torture rack match was expected with her trying to intimidate her, but Grace would press on anyway.

"Very fine match up to pick Vanessa, one where if you win you can do whatever you want and if you lose you know I wouldn't do half of what would. It's basically taking no risk, I'll just have to make the match and the joy of winning worth the effort. I accept, of course given I challenged you I already know I have what it takes." Grace said staring down the smug bitch and her ever confident VIP.

Vanessa I. Price just looked even more satisfied at Grace's bold acceptance of the Torture Rack Match, looking just as confident as her about it. She didn't back down at all to Kenning, then simply shrugged after she was done. "Very well... Just don't whine about it too much when you learn just how good you truly are," answered VIP.

Then, she would suddenly reach up and slap Grace across her face before darting behind the various members of the stage crew who were filming the interview, making sure to keep herself hidden behind them, even grabbing one to personally use as a shield. She then peeked around to smirk at Grace Kenning, seemingly satisfied with her sneak attack.

Without much else it seemed settled so Grace was ready to leave it at that. They wanted to fight so they set up a match and with it gave Grace the one thing she needed to qualify for Apex and she would get to shut down VIP on the way, nothing could have worked out better for her. But she was naive thinking that her next opponent would leave things at that, quickly throwing her hand out to smack Grace in the face, a hard slap that could be heard across the room before she ducked behind people. Grace was angry and her face stung but she wasn't going to barrel through any innocent bystander to get to her so Grace simply rubbed her face.

"You're going to have to try a little harder then that if you want to hurt me, and you won't have a human shield on that ring." Grace said before she turned and left, doing her best to deny VIP any of the satisfaction of seeing her hurt or bothered by her cowardly play.
