The SWAT Cats Tag Team Open Challenge Series - Episode 4

The storied title reign of The SWAT Cats saw them propose Open Challenge after Open Challenge. The goal being to call on every and any team in the back to rise to the occasion and show off the very best tag wrestling that LAW had to offer! To show that LAW had the deepest and most impressive tag team roster you could find in wrestling! To prove that the LAW World Tag Team Championships are the greatest prize in Tag Team Wrestling today!

The commentators at ringside went over all of this information for the fans listening in as the moment drew near! Rumors were rampant that tonight, just weeks before the biggest LAW PPV of the year, We Are LAW, The Cats would be stepping up to put out another challenge ahead for the PPV event! In typical SWAT Cats fashion, it was a bold statement. Who was to say that the Cats would retain tonight? And what shape would they be in at We Are LAW if they did survive tonight as champions?

As the buzz around all this filled the arena and reached a fever pitch, the reigning champs made their appearance! The SWAT Cats theme song fired up on the stadium speaker! The crowd reacted immediately with ubiquitous cheers as the trio of feline luchadoras took their place at the top of the entrance ramp, championship belts in hand!

As their theme song played, the crowd sang along! Katherine Hart squatted down to lift Aurora into a seated position on one of their biceps and Tracy into a seated position on the other! Aurora and Tracy would hold the tag belts up high as multicolored pyro went off above them to celebrate the champs' entrance!

After a posing, Kat would let her tag partners down and follow them to the ring! Tracy and Aurora would high-five some of the fans as they made their way down the ramp. Kat would find time to take a selfie with a little girl in the front row. Eventually, the trio would slide into the ring. Tracy vaulted over the ropes while Aurora slid in under the bottom rope. Kat would climb the steel steps the old-fashioned way.

SWAT Cats chants would start up as they took their place in the center of the ring. Eventually, the production crew at ringside would hand them a set of mics.

"Thank you! Thank you, everyone! We love you guys!" Kat would address the fans' cheers.

"The SWAT Cats back at it again, STILL your World Tag Team Champions!" Tracy would follow up in a spirited tone.

"Doing exactly what we declared we would in our mission statement when we first won these belts! Being the greatest tag team in the world elevating the greatest tag team division in the world! We've said it many times before and we've survived against every team that's stepped up thus far. Let's see if the next set of challengers has it in them to choose The Galaxy Cat when they lay down their challenge!" Aurora would say with a reserved fist pump. She addressed the fact that between all of the challenging teams that have emerged thus far, all of them seemed to avoid selecting Aurora when they answered the call.

"Whether it's just before a pay-per-view or not, everybody by now should know that The SWAT Cats- your tag team champions are not ones to shy away from the chance to prove themselves and make good on their word!"

"The rules are the same as always. If you think you have what it takes to carry this division, step up with your tag partner" Kat would say while facing the entrance ramp.

"You pick the stipulations. You pick which two out of the three of us you wanna throw down with. And you come out here and show the world what it takes to be a top team in the pro wrestling world today!!!"

Hart would throw her mic to the side! Tracy would grip the ropes and Aurora would stretch in anticipation of whichever team was bold enough to step up and continue the champs' Open Challenge Series!

The crowd did not have long to wait before music began to play and The Thundergirls emerged! "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines and "Tigress" Tina Armstrong came out each with a mic in hand. The duo high fived and began a confident strut down the ramp taking the time to high five some fans before making it down to the ring.

The crowd roared as the two slid underneath the bottom rope and stepped right up to the middle smiling and appearing every bit to be confident challengers. It was Alaina who raised a mic first while looking right at Kat. "You know it was only a matter of time before you faced us, and we are one of the few teams to have defeated the vaunted SWAT Kats in the ring. We are worthy challengers and we are going to push you to.... and past... the brink." Alaina said as she lowered her mic.

Tina raised hers and grinned. "We are better than before, and we are gonna toss ya all over OUR ring. Ya won't be catching us making mistakes or doing anything dumb that some of your other challengers had. We are the real deal and I will add to my fancy title collection I've started here in LAW!" Tina said with a smile making reference to her middleweight championship run.

After a moment it was Alaina who spoke. "I think we came up with a fun proposition for ya. We both really want to see Aurora in action, and you know I can't do a match like this without you Kat. The two of us against you two, tornado tag with falls counting anywhere. I think that sounds like a good time doesn't it everyone?" Alaina said holding her mic out as the crowd reacted to her proposed match. The thunder girls sat back ready to listen to what the SWAT Kats had to say and more than ready to exchange any words that came their way.

Both the crowd and the tag team champs were excited to see Alaina Sanders and Tina Armstrong appear posthaste! The air of intensity and expectation picked up as The Amazon and The Tigress approached the ring.

Much like The SWAT Cats, The Thundergirl's names and resumes spoke for themselves. Both Alaina's and Tina's reputations preceded them. And both of them shared history with Katherine Hart and Tracy Canon of the SWAT Cats. Between the avid fans of all these ladies and between the two teams themselves, there was always this intangible feeling, the premonition that this meeting was going to happen sooner or later. But none of The Cats could have possibly foreseen that the moment would be now!

It was quite a welcome surprise. Kat, Tracy, and Aurora were all smiles! And just as all three of them expected, Alaina and Tina got right down to business. The duo slid into the ring and popped up to their feet! With their mics in hand, they seemed as toned and as formidable as ever, and ready to answer the challenge! Just a short moment after Alaina and Tina set the tone, Kat gladly cut in.

"Yeah....yeah, we definitely knew." Hart began, seemingly holding back some of the intense emotion she was feeling going into a match with her team's biggest rivals.

"Feels like just yesterday we were throwing down as two of the only active teams in this company. And now....now we're lighting the path forward for the best tag team division in the world. As THE best tag team in the world." Kat would finish by holding one of the tag belts up high in her gloved hand. Tracy would soon follow up.


"We've wrestled each other a ton! You guys might be one of the very few teams with a win over us but our rivalry, our history runs deep! I think everyone will agree that the Cats have always been a step ahead of everyone else in tag team wrestling! Including you!"

"Yes, we're confident but not overconfident. Honestly, of all the teams that could answer our Open Challenges, I personally consider The Thundergirls to be the most formidable. Perhaps the most exhilarating challenge we could hope to find! And what's more, allowing the challengers to set the stakes gives the both of you, Alaina and Tina, all the liberties you need to give us the best match possible, and to give the fans the best match possible!" Aurora was normally the most tactful and soft-spoken of the trio, but the prospect of this match had her fired up in her own way!

"So when I say that I'm excited about your proposition, rest assured that I mean every word." Aurora would place her hands on her hips and smile confidently.

"Tornado Tag.... Falls Count Anywhere...me and Aurora. I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall in the room when you and Tina put that one together, Alaina. You guys have a clear game plan. Just the thought of the match gets my blood pumping!"

"You guys wanna see us throw down in that match right now?!" The Super Kitty would roar, enlivening the crowd that much more!

"Then LAW management, please do us the honor. If we could get a ref out here, let's have one. The champs have to prove why they're still the reigning and defending champs. And The Thundergirls have a few things they wanna prove to The SWAT Cats, I'm sure"

As Kat finished up, Tracy stepped up to both Amazons. The fiery Circus Cat focused her gaze on Alaina before snapping towards Tina to offer her some parting words.

"I like that you guys get right down to business. So lemme get my business off my chest before I head over to ringside to sit this one out. Tina, you and me still have a score to settle. Don't you forget that, alright?"

As Tracy made for the ropes to vault over them and take her place at ringside, the commentary team would go over the deep history between both these top teams!

Katherine and Alaina had a rivalry that predated LAW. A deeply competitive, yet rivalry that saw them throw down in many singles and tag matches. Just a few weeks ago, they attended an interview with Lexy Alan to discuss their current career trajectories. Similarly, Tracy was once Tina's first challenger for the middleweight championship. A challenger that Tina handpicked as a test to prove to herself she deserved her spot at the top of the division! And yet, the wildcard tonight was Aurora, who was facing both the brawny and beautiful Alaina and Tina for the very first time in her biggest match yet!

The SWAT Cats and The Thundergirls both owned a win over one another! Tonight would prove once and for all who the faces of LAW tag wrestling, the faces of tag team professional wrestling at the highest level really were!

It wouldn't be long before a female referee came running down the ramp! And when she did, cheers would once again fill the arena in anticipation of this blockbuster match-up!

"Right now? Lets do it." Alaina said as she began stretching while Tina bounced up and down on her feet. The two were about to decide who was going to kick things off when Tracy stepped up and glared at both women. Alaina returned the glare as she was still not sure what to make of Tracy from their first two matches.

Tina however stepped right up and into Tracy bumping her chest. "I beat ya when I demanded ya challenge me for the title. I think the score was settled. If you want to try your luck against me again with Alaina or by myself I am more than happy to show ya the canvas." Tina said. "You got the biggest mouth of any of you SWAT kittens Tracy, and shutting it is a favorite pastime of mine. After we trash your partners we can spare time for ya. Maybe we can find us a third and really show the SWAT Kats a truly chaotic match."

Alaina grabbed Tracy and pulled her back, motioning with her head towards the apron. "I can start things off, we need to focus on the two facing us for those titles." Alaina said before turning her head to Tracy. "If you want to step up to me like that again I am more than happy to see you outside the ring Tracy, we have never wrestled solo. I am sure Kat will help you out and gameplan but much like Tina it will be a big bad leopard clad amazon flexing in victory afterward." Alaina said to Tracy.

The amazon turned her look back to Kat grinning as she hoped her rival would kick things off for her team.

Tracy was almost through the ropes when she stopped to hear what Tina had to say. A younger, more hotheaded Tracy would have gotten hot and bothered. Tina's words stung but Canon somehow managed to take it in stride! She smiled in response. The Circus Cat showed off some of her growth as a wrestler and as a person!

"Oh, yeah? Looks like I'm not the only one with the biggest mouth on my team, huh?" Tracy would quip before Alaina came over and pulled her back towards the center of the ring! Tracy looked up at The Amazon. The height difference was palpable, but the gap between them as wrestlers and athletes seemed to finally be closing a bit!

"A big, bad, and leopard-clad! While flexing in victory after the match?" Tracy began by poking fun with the rhyme as she mulled Alaina's words over.

"That's an odd way of telling me you want me to wear a leopard print bikini to wrestle you and Tina but I'm down!" The crowd whistled and cheered when Tracy insinuated that she could wear Thundergirls attire and win in a solo match with Alaina. It seemed many fans in attendance and around the world were excited about the idea!

"Ladies. Let's focus on the present, shall we?" Aurora stepped up and led Tracy by the arm, pulling her back before more sparks started to fly!

"I'd love to see that match! But there's one I'm itching to see even more right now!" Kat stepped in. She rotated her arm and stretched, and as she did, a female referee finally came running down the ramp and into the ring! The crowd livened up as things finally seemed ready to get underway! Kat stretched and hopped in place in the center of the ring! She prepped up Aurora, her partner for this matchup!

"Aurora, you've got a lot to prove, tonight. I know I don't have to tell you this but you've always been better at wrestling smarter than wrestling harder. I admire that about you a lot, you know?"

Aurora smiled warmly to her mentor and best friend as the referee got in touch with the timekeeper to get this contest set!

"You don't know how fulfilling that is to hear every time, Kat." Aurora would direct her attention to Alaina and Tina across the ring.

"We're trying to win a wrestling match. Not a bodybuilding contest. I don't have to beat Alaina or Tina at their own game. I just have to wrestle a better match than the both of you! And my spotless record says that I'm more than capable!"

"Alaina....Tina....I hope you're ready!"

"They better be ready! Ready to deal with the facts after The SWAT Cats retain the gold, baby!" Tracy would cheer from the sidelines. She seemed to have quickly and discreetly stepped aside to ringside.

The stage was finally set! Just went be referee called for the bell, one more person made their entrance in the LAW arena tonight!

Dan "The Man" DeFranco - LAW General Manager and CEO

The rare appearance of the LAW General Manager and CEO Dan DeFranco caught everyone in the arena off guard! Right away the suited man would motion for his music to be cut!

"Sorry to crash the party ladies. I'll try to make this quick." He said, raising the mic he had in hand.

"Title matches at LAW, as you five know, are a big deal. The SWAT Cats and the Thundergirls are both big deals. It's a star-studded contest what you've got going on in the ring right there. Dare I say, too star-studded for free television!" The crowd's interest piqued as DeFranco began walking back at forth to mull this over.

"Famed LAW workhorse and finalist in the Inaugural Heavyweight Championship tournament, Alaina Sanders."

"Inaugural Middleweight Champion with what I believe to be the most exemplary singles title run so far in the company's history in Tina Armstrong."

"Finalist in the first-ever Last Woman Standing Tournament and one of the few women that I could rightfully call one of the faces of this company, Katherine Hart."

"Red hot undefeated streak and meteoric rise to a championship run in Aurora Estrella."

"The Inaugural World Tag Champs against the only team on this roster has a win over them....that's a big match with some big names...."

"Big enough for the Main Event of We Are LAW 5!"

Surprise and commotion would fill the arena. There was no doubt that both teams in the ring and everyone around the world would be shocked to hear this news break live!

"We'll see you there." DeFranco would sign off as he walked to the back after just having dropped a bombshell of an announcement!
