A Long Time Coming - Pom Pom Punchers/SWAT Cats Interview

All the tension had been sucked out of the ring and everyone seemed less tense now that the air had been cleared. Even the poor interviewer who didn't get a chance to get a word in seemed relieved with how this had gone. Cheryl was ready to defend herself and her partner and that's exactly what she did, with results better than what they could have hoped for. Now all she had to do was take the Swat cats hands and make the match in the future a possibility. She didn't have to think on it, one look at Amber and soon after Cheryl's arm was out and taking that hand to shake and finally put the match on a card of their choosing.

"Just don't lose to anyone until we get there, we have business of our own to handle but once that's cleared up we'll set this match up and give the fans a match for the history books." Cheryl said shaking the arm and keeping a tight but friendly grip. She looked at Amber and once again would urge her to accept, this was a really good deal and she wasn't looking to start a fight that wasn't needed.

Amber still had a few things in the back of her head eating at her thoughts and telling her to voice them. She figured it was Robin’s influence and pushed them down and out of the way. After giving everyone her real feelings she wanted anyone else’s opinions out of her head until this was done. They had taken the attention they wanted and they did it without anyone else to speak on their behalf. Amber had nothing else to think about besides making this match happen and winning with her friend like she always planned to. Like she knew they should’ve when they competed in the gauntlet. She would reach out and take Tracy’s hand without a second thought or letting any doubt that this was the right choice stop her. “Our journey isn’t over either. You’ll get to see one more step in how far we’ll go.”

In a rare turn of events at LAW, the two teams actually came to a mutual understanding with each other! It was almost as if talking things out and taking the high road could result in seeing many women in this company actually seeing eye to eye with one another!

Nevertheless, The SWAT Cats and the Pom Pom Punchers were eager to face each other when it came time! And with members of both teams exchanging handshakes and vowing to face off, every fan in the arena was cheering in anticipation of what would hopefully be an eventual title match!

"Hey, it wouldn't be a SWAT Cats Open Challenge if we lost before you could face us, right?" Kat would smile and respond to Cheryl.

"These belts aren't going anywhere. When you decide you wanna try and take them from us, we'll be ready for you. We'll tear the whole house down together. Both teams."

"And we'll meet you any and every step of the way of your journey! Give you something to write home about after we pin you Punchers!" Tracy would stick her tongue out. She said this half-jokingly, but it was clear that she had every intention to make it happen.

The pair kept a firm and eager grip during the handshakes. Aurora nodded with approval. For The Cats, this was a very welcome change of pace from their previous challengers. Little did they know that nothing could prepare them for what was to come from their rivalry with The Pom Pom Punchers!
