For Rem Mathers, the Young Lioness Cup had been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster. Disqualified in her first match after having been declared the winner because she couldn't keep her aggressive, raging side hidden. Then allowing herself to be defeated in her second match out of fear when she felt her control slipping once more. There was already no hope of advancement for Rem, only humiliation. Music
Rem made her way towards the ring, but the dejection was already clear on her face. She did not want to be here. She would have just forfeited the match beforehand and not shown up if she wasn't contractually obligated to be present for and fight in all her matches in the tournament. Rem paid no attention to the crowd as she walked. Were they cheering or booing her? She didn't know. It was all just noise to her.
Rem entered the ring and walked to her corner without fanfare. Her biggest concern was trying decide whether she should at least put in a token, yet likely halfhearted effort against Joyce Hilda in this match, or if she would just roll over for her opponent from the bell. Maybe the decision would be made a bit easier once Joyce actually arrived in the ring.
