The winner will move on to the Semifinals of the Queen of The Ring Tournament.

Tonight.. was a very special one for the LAW roster. Because it marked the dawn of when a new Queen of the ring would be crowned. A high title, not quite as grand as becoming a champion, but it was certainly the next best thing, and such an accomplishment would surely catapult whoever held it to number one contendership. Thea didn't really care about those aspects too much however. Yes a title run was on her radar but... for her winning the crown and name of Queen of the ring held.. far deeper value to her. Afterall, her biggest rival dubbed herself with a similar title, so having one she WON through combat would make her more legitimate, on top of cementing the status she was fighting so hard to display to all. Plus.. she wouldn't lie when she said she'd always thought she'd make a good queen, and the idea just seemed so... natural for her.
Before that however she would need too... ascend to the throne though violence, and of course she was set to start off the tournament against quite possibly the most brutish and violent of all the tournaments participants. A miss Amy Evans who had fought and defeated someone Thea would have much rather gone against instead. Unfortunately though she'd have to make due, if nothing else Thea was fairly certain that she could work around the brute's style to win, hopefully without having to rely on... underhanded tactics early on, if for no other reason than to save those tricks for later on in the tournament. Looking up she would get the que from the staff that it was time. 'Let get this started.' Thea thought got herself as she got up and made her way to the curtain, right as her music started to play. Stepping out from the curtains Thea would hold her arms out to the side, smiling proudly before the fans as she got a pretty loud but somewhat mixed reaction, mostly cheers with a few boos mixed in. Granted since her.. more ruthless side had been displayed more often, but between her looks and careful control over her image she was still largely seen positively by majority of the fans. Strutting down the ramp Thea would make a show of giving a 'queen wave' to her fans, smiling pleasantly as she made it to the ring and walked up the steps before elegantly sliding between the ropes and into the ring. Hopping onto the corner she'd stand proudly, showing off her silver ring attire and, as she leaned back her toned belly, after which she'd give a wink at the camera before hopping down and turning to wait for her opponent to come down. Amy had the toughest schedule of the tournament having to fight in round 1, fresh off a victory over Nashi she now had Thea Asters next. Amy never met the blonde face to face until today and had no idea what she was like. It was uncomfortable knowing that when she was already one match in and her last opponent was equally unknown to her. Still the Lion never needed to know who she was fighting to beat them and she still planned to win the whole thing no matter what. She was ready for a fight anytime, as Thea would learn soon enough. The Lion's music started to play and soon Amy crawled out to the music, before standing up and letting out a roar that the crowd repeated. Amy would march the rest of the way down, looking confident as confident as ever. She would slide through the ropes and stand up to face Thea and see the smaller blonde and how she looked. The look in her eye reminded Amy of a few glares she gave people, this girl saw Amy as more of an obstacle than a person...Looking at her and past her at the same time. She glared back and would prepare herself while getting ready to see if Thea could back up that glare.
Thea was confident as she looked up at the entrance ramp, prepared for her opponent, even if she wasn't necessarily ideal. Although as Thea thought of it, at least Amy wouldn't be fresh. She'd b sporting the battle wounds and exhaustion of her previous round coming into this bout which would surely help the blonde. Of course that was assuming Amy's first match lasted enough to cause the woman trouble which Thea certainly hoped was the case, especially as the woman's song came on through the arena.
"So now the beast approacheth." Thea said to herself, likening Amy to a beast after her namesake, fully expecting a fight that would b equivalent to such a deal between man and beast. Eyes narrowing into a determined glare as the blond woman approached Thea would roll her shoulders as Amy slipped between the ropes and entered the ring fully. Matching Thea's intense stare with one of her own, not that Thea would backdown.
However she would approach the center of the ring and hold her hand out, as if offering a handshake to her opponent. "Thea Asters, a pleasure to be meeting you, even if I must regretfully inform you that I'll be taming you in this bout." Thea said while smirking confidently as she held her hand out, waiting to see if Amy accepted or not.
Amy was getting ready and watching Thea who was still looking at her funny. She didn't understand what it was about until the blonde got closer and offered a hand, all while telling her she was going to tame her like it was something simple. The confidence was easy for someone who was just starting the match, but Amy let it go and accepted the hand.
"Amy." Amy said, ignoring the rest of her statement. She thought she might know her name already since she called her a beast, but Amy's clothes could've told her that. She wasn't going to start antagonizing people just because of the way they stared at her, even if she thought it was a little weird. She ended the handshake as soon as Thea let go and went to her corner. "Have to finish her as quickly as I can. Nashi wasn't easy so I need to start ending matches faster than the rest of the tournament is doing." Amy muttered to herself in her corner, wondering what she could do to bring Thea down.
Ending the handshake and finally breaking eye contact as she turned Thea would flick her hair over her shoulder in a haughty way, oozing confidence as she walked. "I don't recall asking." She said over her shoulder to Amy as she heard the woman briskly introduce herself, obviously not caring too much before turning and leaning against the corner.
Smirking softly in preparation for the bout Thea would raise her hands up, fully ready as the bell rang, starting the match officially. 'Now let's get this tournament off to a good start.' Thea thought as she began circling the beast in front of her, hands out and ready to repel whatever the woman may try first, clearly looking to play defensive for now, trying to be ready to counter whatever her opponent may try.
Amy raised an eyebrow at Thea's words. Blonde and rude, the classic combo. Amy almost bit her tongue since she was blonde and used to be ruder, but she still had her tongue. "I don't recall caring about what you asked." Amy said before she would go to her corner. The bell ringing told her to move and she would leave her corner to try to meet Thea.
Thea was staying defensive to prepare to meet the bigger blond, so Amy would start to prowl closer watching Thea until she was close enough to lock up with her. She would try to pull the head under her and sprawl to the mat to bring them both down while keeping her head and bringing it closer to the mat and hold her there.
Not showing any signs of reluctance in front of her larger opponent Thea would start to circle the woman with sharp eyes and ready hands, not wanting to get caught flat footed. Which was why, once Amy darted in towards her Thea would deal with the woman's arms wrapping around her head and trying to pull her down to the mat with a sharp wit. Turning sharply and pivoting her feet she would try and pull herself back, out from under Amy's arm while trying to encircle arms around Amy's waist from behind to try and take control with a rear waistlock!
Amy swooped in and around her head to try and pull her in close and secure the headlock, making Thea pivot to try and keep her head from being pulled down with it, slipping to the side to try and get at Amy's side and pull her in close. "Nggh." Amy groaned. Feeling the pressure around her waist, she would try to bring her leg in and hook Thea's own to try and hold her still and keep her from doing anything with the waist lock until she could get a grip on it and pull down.
From there Amy would unhook the leg and sprawl fighting the hold by leaning her back against Thea while slowly walking her legs forward to put some torque on Thea's shoulder and stretch her arms out, putting the hold as far into it's limits as possible so she could try and break it. If she could get Thea's grip to slip she would try to grab Thea's head and leg to try and hook her into a surprise package for a pin attempt!
Starting this match off in a traditional sense of grappling and locking up Thea had thwarted Amy's headlock attempt and moved in behind the woman to try and go for a rear waist lock. Unfortunately however Amy wasn't as brutish as she appeared and in fact appeared rather technically proficient, expertly blocking Thea's own hold before suddenly pulling her down for a roll up attempt!
"ONE!"
Hearing the ref's count Thea would act quickly. After all, while the execution was quite good Thea was not about to be stopped this early on by the blonde woman with such a basic move. Pushing up with her hips sharply Thea would use her legs while tugging on Amy's own leg to not only get her shoulders off the mat but roll them over to reverse their positions so Thea was on top with Amy's shoulders now being the ones pressed against the mat!
