The Best Of Wrestlers

Ryuko was wearing a pair of black yoga pants and a red spots bra as she emerged from the locker room. She looked around the gym and it was quite busy but that didn't bother Ryuko at all. What did bug her was the amount of foreign women around. She had nothing against them until it came to wrestling. Japanese women had proven over and over to be the best wrestlers in the world. These other women were just pretenders in the eyes of Thunder Ryuko. Thankfully the women in the gym all knew that the gym was for getting work done, not messing around. Nothing bugged Ryuko like a pretender who didn't take their craft seriously. Those were the women Ryuko absolutely looked forward to destroying in the ring, more than happy to use her power to the fullest on such opponents even after they have been clearly beaten.

Ryuko was more than content to make her way over to the free weights, ready to begin lifting and working on her upper body today, as this was a scheduled push day for her workout schedule.

While Ryuko was out on the weights, a voice rang out from nearby. Over on some mats spread over the floor, two girls were going through their usual regimen of strength exercises. Or rather, one was, and trying to get the other to follow suit. Kayla Grant, committed wrestler as she was, was at the gym as usual, wanting to make sure she kept herself in tip-top shape in case the time would come for her to need to prove that in the ring. Her tag partner, Ashley Daniels...was less so. In the midst of their set of squats, while Kayla was keeping up just fine and barely even breaking a sweat, Ash suddenly dropped to all fours, face red and panting hard.

"Can...can we take a break-?" she asked - much to Kayla's displeasure, as she shot her a glare.

"A break? Ash! We only just started here!"

"Kaaaaay, c'mooooooon!" the girl begged incessantly. "I'm sore..."

"Maybe if you stuck with your training more, you wouldn't tire out this easily?"

"Maybe if you weren't such a stick in the mud, I'd want to!" Whatever the case might've been, the differences between the two partners, friends as they may have been, were readily coming out, and the ways in which they clashed would soon be heard throughout that part of the gym, even over the bustle of so many other women using its services.

Ryuko was enjoying her workout, focused on what she was doing. However, a pair of loud voices rang out disrupting things. Ryuko looked up and of course it was a couple gaijin women acting like complete fools. "Hey! Can you keep it down? I know wrestling may not be serious business to you bimbo's from wherever you come from but real women are trying to focus on a serious career!" Ryuko shouted to them, walking up with her hands on her hips. To say Ryuko had a stern look on her face was an understatement. She looked downright angry. "I swear I wish I could just toss idiots around whenever they acted up but this isn't a wrestling ring.... and I know neither of you could ever stand up to me between the ropes!" Ryuko added, talking herself up as she sneered at the duo in front of her.

When Kayla heard the voice call out, she froze, taking her eyes off of Ashley (unwise as that was) to stare off towards the source of the sound. "Great..." she muttered. As though it wasn't bad enough to have her partner fooling around when she was supposed to be working, now someone else had noticed. Leave it to Ash to embarrass her in front of the whole gym, she thought to herself with a grumble. And if things couldn't get any worse, now she was faced with a fierce-looking woman looming right before her.

Trying to save face, as she'd gleaned from the local customs, Kayla issued a short bow towards Ryuko. "I'm so sorry for-" she began, but it wouldn't stop the Wrestle Angels veteran from launching on her tirade - and that quickly squashed Kayla's attempts to be diplomatic about this. "What-? Hey-! Who are you calling bimbos?!" she called out, balling a fist at her side. As if she didn't take what she did seriously...sure, Ashley didn't, but Kayla was above that! Her teeth clenched, and she could feel the anger bubbling up in her. She wouldn't let anyone talk to her this way.

"Listen...just because my partner's kind of an idiot doesn't mean I'm not just as committed and serious as you are! I was trying to keep her under control!" Kayla shouted, jabbing a finger towards Ryuko and ignoring the immediate "HEY!" from Ashley. When Ryuko issued the challenge, however, she stopped, giving it thought. It was looking as though she wouldn't take no for an answer, but perhaps the ring was the only place Kayla could prove herself to her...

And, unfortunately, it seemed as though Ashley was having the same thoughts, as she stepped forward with her arms crossed to glare up at Ryuko. "You really wanna go, huh? You think you could take us? You haven't even seen us in the ring, I bet you'd be surprised!"

Ryuko laughed at the two women ad they talked back to her. Had they not realized who Ryuko was and what she was capable of? "Neither of you could hold a candle to the thunder empress inside a ring! I would destroy the both of you!" Ryuko said as she stepped up to them to fully illustrate the size difference between the women.

She glared at the two wrestlers, curious to see what they would do about it. She tapped her foot on the ground and smiled. "I would love to get the chance to face either of you or even both!"

When Ashley pushed forward to issue a challenge, Kayla tensed, afraid of what her considerably more laid-back and light-hearted partner would do to her reputation now that her accord with Ryuko was already in check. She also looked up at Ryuko's larger size looming above her, and it was enough to make her swallow a gulp. That certainly wasn't helping matters.

However, she was determined to not let this get any worse than it already was, and she pushed forward, putting her arm up between Ash and Ryuko to urge the redhead back. The thought of Ashley, being Ashley, facing Ryuko in the ring wasn't helping her confidence with this, but she was sure she might be able to handle it herself. Against an opponent as esteemed as Ryuko, Kayla owed it to everything she believed in to be the best she could be. "That won't be necessary, Ash...but as for you, I'd be happy to face you in the ring! I don't need any help, I'll show you what I've got all on my own!"

Ryuko laughed and the smile on her face was one of confidence bordering on arrogance. Hell it probably did cross over into arrogance. "I look forward to seeing you in the ring little girl. I will be happy to demonstrate what real wrestling looks like. See you in the ring my precious little delusional girl." Ryuko said as she stared down the two women.

Ryuko would turn and begin to walk away, content to work out knowing that she would have a match coming up very soon!

Watching as Ryuko turned away, Kayla narrowed her eyes, letting out a groan under her breath as she looked on with disdain. She was just minding her own business, she told herself - it was her fault for sticking her nose into things without being asked. It wasn't even what she did to draw Ryuko's ire; that was Ashley's own inability to keep her mouth shut. Kayla looked over towards her partner, and for only a brief moment she felt anger towards her - but she soon snapped out of it. Her friendship with the girl, as disparate as their personalities were, was too strong to hold a grudge. And more importantly than that, Kayla would turn this into motivation. She had to work even harder to prove Ryuko wrong!

"Aw, c'mon...I could take her..." Ashley groaned, but Kayla shook her head. "This is something I have to face alone."
