The Amazon And The Idol

Today was no different than many others for Alaina Sanders as she was arriving at the LAW gym instead of using her own home gym today. She was going to do a mix of in-ring work as well as some lifting exercises so she wore a one piece leopard print swimsuit with matching kneepads and boots as she exited the locker room ready to go.

Today she had a partner though. Again, not entirely unusual. But today her partner was someone she reached out to and invited. It was a woman she saw potential in whom she had faced recently.

Alaina was going through various ideas on her head as she waited hoping to see Sakura Hagiwara arrive ready to go for a fun training day.

Sakura took a deep breath in preparation in the locker room as she finished lacing up her boots. Today she was not in a wrestling match but a special training session with the now former heavyweight champion Alaina Sanders-Haines. After her crushing loss to the woman the idol had been offered the chance to train under the woman, rare opportunity that Sakura truthfully didn't think she deserved, but she would make the most of it.

Sighing softly Sakura would step out wearing her two piece white and red match sports bra and briefs along with white wrestling boots. Approaching the ring Sakura would breathe in softly as she saw Alaina almost instantly, clenching and unclenching her fists in nervousness as she approached the titanic looking woman.

Entering the ring none the less however Sakura would offer a polite bow to the woman before standing up straight. "Alaina thank you again so much for taking the time out of your day to teach me." Sakura said politely before holding her hands behind her back, looking a bit nervous as she did so. "Um if I may ask where did you want to start? The raven haired girl would ask curiously wondering just what the woman had in mind.

Alaina smiled as she saw Sakura. A lot of times many women were successful but lacked that extra something to really stand out. Sakura had heart, she for sure had the looks and then some, she had strength more so than anyone ever wanted to give her credit for, and she had... it. She had that spark and potential to stand out above most any other woman between the ropes.

Alaina wanted to help her unlock that. "Sakura, thanks for coming!" Alaina said. "I am guessing you had to sneak in and fight of droves of overly excited guys and even some ladies too to get here. I don't envy you for that." Alaina said looking Sakura over. "Today we are gonna make ourselves worn out, then when we feel like we can't move we're gonna try to power our way through pushups, dummy carries, dummy slams, and a test of strength. We're gonna make ourselves ready to keep going when everything in our brain tells us that we are out of gas." Alaina said with a smile.

"We'll run ropes to start in just a moment but before we do... how are you doing? I know you had a rough patch but then turned it around with some impressive wins! You out-slammed and overpowered larger women, showed impressive technique and even have that manager doting over you. You have a bright future in between the ropes." Alaina said leaning against the ropes as she hoped to just talk a bit with Sakura before the work began. She wanted to know what made Sakura tick now that they were face to face.

Sakura had indeed arrived and entering the ring with Alaina she would smile and nod politely to the woman before answering her initial question. "Oh I mean sometimes, but honestly I've long since managed to duck people like that." Sakura said with a giggle before her face paled and eyes widened in shock at the woman's plan for them today before shakily nodding with a gulp of slight intimidation.

"I see... that's quite the... ambitious plan.. but if you think I can do it, I'll try my bets." Sakura promised with a nod towards the woman. Despite that and knowing that the challenge was set to begin soon Alaina instead asked Sakura about how she was doing, as well as heaping some compliments her way which made Sakura blush a bit awkwardly in response.

"Oh well, I don't know about that. Like don't get me wrong I've been working hard and managed to scrape out some wins. It's honetsly nothing though, my match against you was proof that I need to work even harder, which is why I'm so grateful to you for offering me this chance to train." Sakura said earnestly with a soft smile on her face.

Alaina listened to Sakura as she spoke, nodding along and taking it in. "I think you have something there that is going to make you stand out. Right now though we are going to wear ourselves out." Alaina said walking over to the ring. "We're gonna run the ropes and you go as fast as you can as long as you can. Slowing down happens but not stopping. We keep going until the timer goes off." Alaina said with a smile.

"We will both run east-west just off center. We should be good to hit the ropes separately and have them bounce us like normal. It isn't a race, just do your best and keep up the speed as well as you can for as long as you can." Alaina said as she finished stretching. "All right, are you ready? Lets go!" Alaina said as she began running. She knew Sakura would be faster but Alaina could keep up her lower top speed for quite a while considering she was closing in fast on 51 years old.

Sakura smiled softly at what Alaina said, feeling a bit more confident now and nodding to the woman as she went over once more what they'd be starting with today, that being the rope running. "Right ok!" Sakura said as pushed backwards against the ropes and took off at break neck speed, turning and hitting the other ropes to rebound off them, maintaining her high speed as she continued to do rope rebound after rope rebound!

Alaina saw Sakura take off and did the same herself. Sakura was outpacing Alaina, and that was of no surprise. Sakura packed a punch and could move well, it was a big reason she was winning matches of late. Alaina may not have had the top speed of Sakura but she was trying her absolute best to keep going as quickly as she could for as long as she could. They both needed to be tired and this was a benchmark for the nearly 51 year old Alaina. She had to see if she could keep up. Sakura may not have realized it but this training was as much for Alaina as it was for Sakura.

The amazon would keep going and the question was which woman would slow down first? It wasn't a competition at all but more for Alaina's own curiosity. She kept her pace, controlling her breathing as she went. "How are you feeling?" Alaina asked after a few minutes went by.

Bounding from one end of the ring to the other Sakura knew she was going at a high speed and gradually, as she got used to the momentum carrying her she wouild begin regulating her speed, now slowing down per se, but not aiming to go top speed the entire time she was moving but just below it to go a consistent, fast yet controllable pace. Which out of the corner of her eye she saw that it was still enough to outpace Alaina but for Sakura this was also about stamina as much as it was about sheer speed.

Alaina kept running and watching Sakura who showed no sign of slowing down. Alaina was going to have to dig deep if Sakura was going to be worn out for later. Alaina was controlling her breathing, doing all she could to go at least as fast as her bigger frame could with a twinge of embarrassment sneaking in: At this point no matter how hard she tried the age, mileage from her workload, and wear from it all was showing.

Alaina grit her teeth and doubled down. She knew she would never be as fast. She couldn't burn out first. She told Sakura it wasn't a contest but now internally it was a measuring stick that was leaving Alaina herself finding that she was falling short.

Going from rope to rope at high speed Sakura was already starting to work up a layer of sweat, huffing softly as she did so but keeping up for the most part as she did so. 'Man are we really just going to do this till we drop or something?' Sakura thought to herself as she continued to run, turning to look and seeing Alaina doing the same as her, and seemingly so effortlessly to the point she started to worry. "Miss.... Alaina! How... many... more... passes?!" Sakura yelled out in between hits against the ropes, managing to keep up while doing so but the exertion clear in her voice.
