Fortune Versus Stardom: The Boxing Challenge (for CaptainL and RedShinigami)

Lyra would be punching a black bag as Jonathan held it from behind so it didn’t flop everywhere. Lyra concentrated her punches and tried to see which fist she should lead with for her upcoming sparring bout. It wasn’t that long that Lyra extended an olive branch to Superstar Molly Forster for a one-on-one exhibition boxing match. Lyra wanted to test the bunny on her new training and see what was so special about her. Win, lose, or draw: Lyra needed to see how strong this bunny truly was.

“So, you sure about this, Lyra? Molly’s gotten pretty strong and Moni tells me she ain’t no slouch,” Jonathan stated as he put an elbow on the bag.

“I shall see for myself. Wrestling wouldn’t do it justice and I rather be on equal footing compared to Molly. That’s why I challenged her to boxing,” Lyra explained to her mentor and pounded her gloves together.

“You’re always the opportunistic one. Did your visions tell you to do this?” Jonathan asked.

“The universe asked me to take this challenge. What lies ahead of me….is something I haven’t been able to comprehend. My last vision has been a mystery to me and maybe the answer lies within this match,” Lyra explained.

“It doesn’t end up with you two in the hospital, does it? I kinda don’t want Moni blaming this one on me,” Jonathan pondered.

“Relax. We shall be fine. I’m not as hard hitting as most women on the roster, but I am strong enough to keep up with them. I don’t think Molly will push too hard despite her newfound strength,” Lyra promised.

It hadn't been long since Molly had received a challenge to a boxing match courtesy of Lyra Heartfield over Twitter, but every moment since then, her thoughts had been focused on the leadup to this moment. It was definitely going to be a new experience for her. She'd had some boxing training just as part of her overall training regimen, and her strikes had only been honed further with her training under Harmonia Edelstein, who had put her through everything she had learned at the Shadow Fortress to shape her into the Superstar she was today - but she'd never actually competed in a straight-up boxing match, until now. Part of her was nervous; she didn't know what she could expect, and how well she could hold up. If Lyra was the one to issue the challenge, she no doubt knew her way around boxing much better than Molly did, which put the Englishwoman at a disadvantage. Molly had taken some lessons leading up to this in order to tighten her boxing skills, hoping to prepare herself for the match, but she knew that the moment of truth wouldn't come until she and Lyra finally stepped into the same ring. From there...anything could happen.

No matter how unfamiliar she was, though, Molly knew she couldn't let it keep her back. If she had learned anything from her rise to fame as one half of the Superstars, propelling her out of obscurity and into the title scene at her girlfriend's side, Molly had great potential in her, and if she was going to prove herself worthy of the name Superstar, she had to step up to the plate. A true star wouldn't back down from such a challenge - and if she did well in this match, perhaps it was proof that the Superstars' fame could extend even beyond the wrestling world into other sports and styles.

Taking in a deep breath, Molly sat up straighter from the bench she sat on in the locker room. She looked down at her outfit, which Harmonia had helped design to match their wrestling attire - even if this was just an unofficial match at the gym, they still insisted on looking their best to keep their colors on everyone's minds. A set of red and white gloves dangled from her hands, and she raised her head to the door before looking back at where Harmonia sat beside her. "You'll be in my corner, right, Moni?"

When Lyra issued the challenge Harmonias excitment had known no limits anymore! Even if she was'nt the one who was fighting in this match tonight, it was her girlfriend and other part of the Superstars who did and the Blonde was prouder then she ever had been.

Molly and her had started strong as "The Superstars", trying to be new and hottest thing in the Tag Division, fighting with a strong, fast and unique style that made people excited for them. Being two charming, beautiful young women definetly helped too but still in the end it was their spirit in the ring that counted for the fans out there and until now they had not dissapointed! There were even rumors that they would fight for the Championship circulating along experts and Harmonia and Molly definetly felt ready for the challenge.

And they would be up for that Challenge too. Harmonia and Molly had taken care that even if it was a private match, their colours still would be seen by every spectator. For Harmonia it was more then colours it was what them out, what represented them. Their outfits were designed to represent the Austrian and the English Flag respectively and they wore it with pride.

Harmonia massaged Mollys shoulders, getting out the last knot and tension out of her girlfriend before she hugged her from behind and gave her a big kiss on the cheek, hugging her tight. "First of all I want to say how proud I am that you take the challenge like a real woman. This is how we, the Superstars are, we fear no challenge.", she said determined before she got softer, softly stroking Mollys bare belly.

"You have become strong Molly, don't forget that. You are fast, you are strong and I showed you everything I know. We also trained as good as we could. You are ready for Lyra. Make her regret to ever having challenged us and...", she softly brought Mollys head sideways to look at her." Have as much fun as you can. I will be right in the corner, we got this, carrot. ", she said with a wink and a chuckle before giving Molly a soft and passionate kiss.

They were alone in the lockerroom so no one could disturb them. Harmonias hands slid down Mollys sides, over her slim waist right to her thighs, bringing her closer into her soft embrace, there barely clad breasts mushroomed into each other while their eyes were closed, the only thing that could be heard were their soft sighs. Harmonia parted their lips and leaned forwardy the tips of their noses touched as they looked into each others eyes. "I love you Molly-Maus.", she smiled and then helped her girlfriend into her gloves.

"Alright Superstar M! ARE WE REEEAADDYYYYY?!", Harmonia cheered with a fist pumped in the air!

Lyra would simply get inside the ring and wait in the blue corner as her gloves were at her sides. She stared at the locker room keeping Molly separated from the outside world as the fortune teller cracked her neck as Jonathan gets in ready to be the impartial referee. Jonathan would mess around with a timer near the ring and set it for 2:00 preparing for the first round. Lyra did some air punches and hopped on her feet getting her arms warmed up. Lyra wouldn’t say she was mostly experienced in boxing, but she did have over a year’s worth of training and even had a few matches going undefeated with a 7-0 record.

However, this was more sparring than it was an official fight. No judges. No scores. Just boxing. Lyra wanted to see Molly’s strength for herself and that’s what she came to do. Lyra would lean in her corner and start closing her eyes asking the universe for their guidance in this match.

Molly couldn't deny that she was at least a little bit nervous going into this match. Sure, it was just a casual challenge between friends, and she didn't have to worry about putting forth her best efforts for the world to see when they wouldn't have anyone watching. But as much as that helped to take off some of the edge, Molly was still heading into something she wasn't familiar with. She wanted to prove that the Superstars were capable of rising to any challenge that was placed in front of them, but there was still a possibility that whatever she did just wouldn't be enough.

But none of that mattered - not when she had Harmonia at her side. If nothing else, Molly still knew that her girlfriend would always put her faith in her, and that nothing could shatter her confidence in the Englishwoman. She made that known to her as she pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the cheek; Molly's face flushed red from the sensation, but her smile crept wider, and when they turned to meet face to face and shared a kiss on the lips, she let out a long, calming sigh. Any tension she might have had in her faded away as long as she had Harmonia at her side. It had been their love that always motivated Molly to reach further and further, to shoot for the stars - and she was sure that same success could be won here.

After breaking away from Harmonia, Molly flashed an eager grin up at the taller blonde. "Thanks, Moni. Thanks as always," she said. "I know that I can always count on you. Keep cheering me on, alright?"

She gave Harmonia a parting wink before she turned to enter the gym, waving to Lyra and Jonathan as she did. Then, she climbed into the ring, tying on her gloves and hopping back and forth in place, throwing some punches in the air, to loosen herself up. When she was finished, she tapped her gloves together, stepping to the center of the ring. "Okay, okay!" she said, "I'm ready!"

Jonathan would turn his head seeing Molly and Harmonia walk out into the open gym as Lyra kept her back to the corner waving to her friend politely. When Molly entered the ring, Jonathan leaned on the ropes and smirked.

“You look like you mean business, Brawler Bunny,” Jonathan joked.

Lyra would mirror Molly’s actions and make her own way to the middle as Jonathan came up to explain the rules as he cranked his neck to loosen up.

“This will be a 12-round bout with 2:00 per round on the clock. No hair pulling, no below the belt shots, no low blows, no hard head punches, and no sending each other to the hospital. You can clinch, but you only get 10 seconds and then I’ll separate you both. Also, no punching in the clinches. Victory is obtained by a knockout of 10 seconds, three knockdowns for a T.K.O, or if I see further injury and need to call it or Harmonia throws in the towel for Molly. Since this fight has no judges, if all 12 rounds are exceeded, this match will result in a draw. Fight well and easy, obey the rules, touch gloves, and back to your corners. Come out at the first bell.” Jonathan explained.

“Good luck, Molly. I know you’ll test me as I much as I will you. May the universe bless our fight,” Lyra stated as she held out her gloves.

Once both women tapped gloves, they would head back to their respective corners as they awaited the first round.

“Harmonia, please ring the bell for the first round. The device is there next to your feet,” Jonathan requested.

Once the bell was sounded, Lyra got her guard up skipping out and would start circling Molly glaring ahead to keep focus.

Harmonia walked out with Molly, their colours prominently when they entered the gym. Even if this was just a private fight, it was important to be professional about it and also Mollys gear really fit her, making Harmonia grin a little when she saw Mollys cute butt sway from left to right when they entered to face off against Lyra. Harmonia took a seat on the ropes, opening it for Molly and walked in herself, waving to Jonathan. "Jonathan, good to see you. As both of these girls are close to you I assume that you will judge fair.", she smiled and punched his shoulder before giving him a hug. She had got accustomed to the three amigos by now and having them over at the mansion was a lot of fun that made especially Molly smile and everything that made her little bird happy, made Harmonia happy too.

"Alright then, you couldnt have said it better.", Harmonia nodded Jonathan before turning to Molly. "Alright Molly, as we have trained ok? Think about the hours we spent, you never had an actual boxing match but you and your sister are born strikers. I am here in the corner, cheering for you. Just have fun and don't hurt yourself. If anything goes out of hand I throw the towel, got it?", she said and raised an eyebrow. Then she placed a short kiss on Mollys lips. "Alright, Superstar, let's get ready to rumbleeeee!", the Blonde shouted enthusiastically and pumped her fist in the air.

Harmonia then took her place outside the ring, watching the two woman approaching each other. When Jon asked her to ring the bell, Harmonia was all to happy too. "ROUND 1!", she proclaimed and rang the bell. " COME ON MOLLY! YOU CAN DO IT! GIVE HER HELL!", Harmonia shouted and grinned. She was excited for her love to face a new challenge and maybe coming out victorious from it!

When Molly heard Jonathan's compliments, she couldn't help but giggle a little to herself, her cheeks flushing. But despite what she looked like on the outside, on the inside, Molly couldn't shake off the fact that her heart was pounding. She had never been in a contest quite like this before. Harmonia was right that the British Bunnies had always focused on their strikes, but it wasn't just that. It was also that she had to contend with a ruleset she wasn't used to; that she would have to pace herself when she was now expected to deal with rounds and working against a tight time limit. At least Jonathan was there to explain the rules to her, and at least everything seemed reasonable. She tapped her gloves together and sucked in a breath, but she still couldn't shake the fact that she had no idea what would happen as soon as the bell rang.

But if nothing else, Molly could still be sure of one thing. No matter how nervous she might have been, Harmonia would always believe in her. She smiled back at her girlfriend and nodded her head as Harmonia leaned in for a kiss. Harmonia wouldn't have agreed to be in her corner, she reminded herself, if she wasn't convinced that Molly was capable of making miracles happen. As the Superstars, they had shown the world they were bound for greatness. If that was the case, Molly would be ready for any challenge, and she could shine in whatever situation she found herself in. This would be no exception. And as long as she knew that Harmonia believed in her...it didn't seem so scary.

"All right, Moni..." Molly said. "Then I'm gonna do this for you!" She stepped forward with a grin, tapping her gloves against Lyra's as she nodded her head to her opponent. "Let's have a good match, okay? Give it everything you've got!"

Harmonia sounded the bell - and she was fully committed to the act, too, proclaiming the start of the match with all the enthusiasm of someone with her mind for showbiz. Molly giggled a little at her antics, but she knew that she couldn't let down her guard. If she wanted to succeed, she needed to take this match as seriously as any, no matter how many - or how few - people were watching. She took a step closer to Lyra, reaching out to grab her in the clinch; if she could secure a good hold on her, she would guide her back toward the corner, hoping to keep her somewhere she could keep her under control.

Lyra nodded to Molly’s words as they each circled each other carefully as Lyra kept her distance wanting the outside approach to see Molly’s moves. However, Molly would step in to clinch her and try to guide her back. Lyra felt the corner pad hit her back not too long, but before Molly could exit to unleash the first punches of the match, Lyra hung on for the meantime not letting Molly go. She outlasted the ten seconds allowed before Jonathan stepped in to make a decision.

“Alright ladies! No more holding! Back up, please,” Jonathan requested as he backed Molly away and allowed Lyra some leeway.

Lyra would go in for the attack and launch a left hand to the gut of the bunny. If she was successful, she tried for a right hand for the jaw next!

Right away, Molly's tactics stood as proof that she was more at home when it came to wrestling than boxing. In wrestling, it was customary to start a match off with a lockup, putting both competitors on even footing and in close quarters until one of them could get an advantage on the other. In going for the clinch right from the bell, Molly was still operating under that philosophy - she was hoping to weigh Lyra back until she could get her into a position where she could strike, setting up a favorable position for herself. But she'd neglected that now, she would only have a limited amount of time to do it. She was so focused on steering Lyra back that she had let the time run out before she could take advantage!

When she heard Jonathan call out to her, she let go of Lyra and stepped back. A blush crossed her face as she realized she had made such a rookie mistake as her very first move in a boxing ring. But she wouldn't have long to think about that before Lyra was back on the move! Suddenly, she shot out with a punch to the gut, causing Molly to crumple over forward against her gloved knuckles. She gasped and groaned, her eyes going wide as the air was shaken out of her lungs. She could feel a stinging pain left in her abdomen from where she'd been hit - but she didn't have time to think about that for long. Lyra was still coming out swinging, and now she had a punch aimed for Molly's jaw!

The Englishwoman knew she would need to get out of the way fast - recovering from the pain could wait! At the last moment, clenching her teeth to fight through the aches, she swerved to the side to dodge around Lyra's incoming blow. If she could do that, she would swing out with her left hand, aiming a jab at Lyra's ribs while she was turned to the side; hopefully it would hit before Lyra could correct her position.
