Watching his reaction after entering the ring Izumi would turn and nod at the man as he entered the ring, promising to take her out if he won. "Hehe, you're bold. I do like that, so sounds good to me." Izumi said with a confident nod towards the Blaise, turning slightly and raising her arms up in a more traditional grappling stance. "In fact I'll make things a bit easier for you, if you can force me to use my full kung fu skills, then I'll go out with you regardless." Izumi said in a teasing tone as she began to circle Blaise with a confident expression on her face.

"So what you're sayin' is, I'm gonna see more of you anyway," Blaise quips to her.

His stance begins similar to hers; arms raised at shoulder height, fingers splayed at the ready to grapple with her. Feet spread a shoulders' width apart, stepping lightly, nimbly. But he doesn't waist for confirmation. He instead rushes in to meet her for the initial lockup, hands moving to her collar and presumably her elbow if she's quick enough to receive him. Regardless, he attempts to quickly transition with her, pushing up on the elbow to attempt to weave in behind her back and lock his arms around her stomach from behind.

Naturally, this would press the front of his body flush with her back, hips to her rear, chest to her shoulders while his forearms press inwards against her abdominal region. If successful, it wouldn't take long to get into the tight and ice-breaking levels of grappling, indeed.

Izumi smiled a bit at what he said and offered a wink in response. "Maybe." She added coyly to the man as she raised her hands up in preparation as the two circled each other for a moment until they both moved in, locking hands with each other in a classic collar and elbow tie up! Smirking as she pushed against him for a moment it wouldn't take long for him to suddenly let go and duck behind her for a rear waist lock!

Suppressing the urge to let out a eep of surprise as she felt the man's groin and chest press into her from behind it wouldn't take Izumi long to move past it though. Bringing her palm down on his joint hands she would try and break his grip before pivoting quickly and arching up, trying to wrap her arms around Blaise's head suddenly to pull him down as Izumi turned, trying to press his face against the side of her chest for a tight side headlock!

The lock is secured, but Blaise isn't sure how long he's going to be able to keep her there; it's only the opening salvo, and he's sure she's going to want to show off as much as he's kind'a hoping to as well. But the move isn't entirely academic, so to speak. They've been flirting. She's attractive. This is a not-so-subtle way of closing the distance with her, heart pounding against her shoulder, skin to skin contact initiated.

Her resistance is textbook and unsurprising, pushing his arms down and transitioning cleanly into a side headlock. Normally, this would be a point of immediate struggle; but the weighty pretense of their 'match' hanging in the air, he can't help but be acutely aware of his cheek now firmly pressed into the side of her breast. Arms naturally snap around her waist again, but lack the leverage to squeeze this time. So instead, one hand rests against her ribs while the other sets to her stomach.

His shoulder pushes forward into her back, attempting to force the two to start walking towards the ropes.

"So.. yeah..," he says, trying to glance up at her face. "..how's this.. for an icebreaker, huh?"

The thought had certainly crossed his mind with the grapple before, but in this moment, it felt like the right time to be cheeky about it. But if he can walk her into the ropes, he'll press her there before twisting, attempting to use the springiness of the ropes to leverage himself out of the hold and reverse it into an irish whip to the opposite side!

Turning into the lock up and managing to catch Blaise in a side headlock that pressed his face against the side of her chest Izumi was admittedly using this as a way of testing Blaise a bit. After all Izumi wouldn't necessarily blame any man for getting flustered or even full on aroused at the position he was currently in, and if he gave in or did something to take advantage of the position well.. maybe things wouldn't go much further than she hoped.

Smiling softly at the feeling of his arms wrapping around her waist and his shoulder pressing into her back Izumi would smile slightly. A natural response and a clever little tactic that was slowly but surely pressing her forward across the mat. Wonderfully clever and more importantly exactly the type of reaction she was hoping to get from him when locking him in this hold.

Chuckling a bit at the man's quip she would nod and smile down at him for a moment even as she was forced to take more and more steps back. "Hah... not bad I'll admit." Izumi said with a chuckle before the two finally hit the ropes where Blaise used the positioning to twist out of her grip and send her running at the ropes with a Irish whip!

Forced into a spring by the man Izumi would turn and bounce off the opposing ropes and back at him. Rather than play into whatever he wanted though Izumi fully intended to turn this into her own advantage. Jumping up as she neared him she would twist and swing her leg out, aiming to drive a literal flying back kick right into her opponent's chest to send him down to the mat!

Blaise continued to work her step by step along to the ropes, bit by bit bringing her to an opening he could exploit. And when the moment arose, he twists with her and whips her waist-first towards the opposite end of the ring! Of course he'd have something in mind for her return trip. Of course he'd be rushing to meet her.

Rapid footfalls see him closing in with her in the center of the ring, only to find himself kicked square in the chest, surprised at her adroitness even when sent hurdling! His back thumps against the mat, momentarily knocked breathless and supine. Arms flop far to either side on the mat, staring briefly up at the ceiling above.

Not the impressive moment he was hoping for.

Despite getting sent running into the ropes by her opponent Izumi was able to make the most out of it, taking the momentum and rebounding off the ropes before coming crashing into Blaise's chest with a running side kick!

Bringing the man down to the mat Izumi would stand up and smile while looking down at the Phoenix. "Sorry, thought I'd give you just a taste of what I can." She said teasingly before dropping down to straddle the man's waist.

Leaning over towards his face Izumi would also grab his arms and hold them above his chest while hovering her face just above his own, a teasing smile on her face as she blew air teasingly onto his face. "Still think you can take me?" She asked in a tone that was clearly challenging him as well as teasing.

Blaise isn't particularly surprised she's decided to use him as a seat. She's cute; she's making sure that gets across, in her own flirty way. And his arms are crossed against his toned chest, leaving him to peer up at her with a smirk. Breath being recollected, he slides his legs against the mat to set the soles of his boots flat against the canvas.

"Don't get too comfy up there," he replies. "You might prefer bein' on bottom!"

His legs suddenly pump, bucking upwards to jostle the girl forward against him. Which may, in fact, bring her face against his briefly! But whether it does or not, he takes that opportunity to try to twist at the shoulders, hoping to roll her over and off of him!

Izumi grinned lightly as she had managed to pin Blaise underneath herself, feeling rather proud of herself for managing to get the dominant position over him so early on in their spar. Thankfully he was able to take this well and responded with the same kind of energy she was giving which only made Izumi's smile widen a bit more.

"Hm well I dunno about that. You'll have to fight extra hard to try and get me int hat position." Izumi said in a teasing tone before gasping sharply as she was launched off of his body with a sudden thrust of his legs and and twist of his hips!

Briefly for just a moment their faces passed by each other, centimeters away from touching before she was launched off to the side! "Oof!" Izumi gasped out as she rolled across the mat, trying to get her legs under her as soon as possible!

Suddenly no longer pressed with Izumi's weight, Blaise twists in the opposite direction to tumble over onto hands and knees, facing her. His smile is equal parts teasing and joyful. He wants to impress her, sure, but he's also fairly certain neither of them are taking it too seriously. This is flirting for wrestlers. Flirting in wrestlespeech. It's weird. He's into it.

Once both were at a vertical base, Blaise closes in again and attempts to catch the girl by the wrist and shoulder. Should he manage to find purchase, he pivots at the hip to whip her towards the corner turnbuckle behind him, hoping to set her up - only to rush in shortly after her, intent on leaping the last few feet to lead chest-first in a body avalanche against her. Toned chest crashing into pert breasts.
