Never Too Late (for Bare)

Cody watched as Drasna went low to grab his right foot and then trip him up! Drasna would then clinch Cody’s foot twisting on it as Cody fell on his stomach grunting spreading his hands in circles around the mat. He decided to let Drasna work her magic in this hold just to see what he could take. It’s not that he’s letting her win or get one over on him, but more so, he has to make sure he can still take it. Even if that means putting himself at a disadvantage, but he knows better than give her a rigged spar so he decided to use his free foot to kick at her grip!

Drasna was successful in her first burst of offense in the match, catching Cody and pulling his leg out from under him to lock him in a achilles lock! Smirking as she pulled and twisted on the limb Drasna idly wondered what was taking him so long to do something. She was honestly about to say something before his free leg came in kicking at her! "Ngh! Ok then..." Drasna said softly, having managed to keep her grip on his leg and before he could try again she would lift his leg up before dropping down, bending his leg in as she did so to slam the offending knee into the mat with a leg ddt!

Cody gasped as his leg was brought down hard with a DDT and he gritted his teeth going to instantly nurse at it! Not bad for an older wrestler surely approaching his age. She knows how to keep the advantage in her court, but he couldn’t let her think she had his number right now. However, Cody’s leg prevented him from getting up without hobbling and limping so he had to stay grounded turning on his back. He would have to settle lifting his better leg and shooting it for Drasna’s gut with a hard kick!

Managing to successfully land her leg ddt on Cody before standing back up Drasna would smirk at her handiwork. Despite being in the dominant position thus far she wasn't arrogant enough to think this was it, but she could certainly enjoy it for what it was worth. In fact right as he shot his good leg forward she would reach down to catch his leg and if successful she would reach down to grab his other leg by the ankle... before pulling to turn the man over and sitting down for a Boston crab submission!

Cody grunted as he saw his leg caught and Drasna holding his legs up before turning him over in a Boston Crab! Drasna pulled back on him instantly and Cody felt it especially since his hurt leg still stung. Not to mention, her wrenching it was only going to handicap him later on even if he didn’t submit right here. Cody propped himself up going for the bottom rope instantly and tried reaching out for it. That’s the best he could do for now, but he also commended Drasna’s speed and instincts helping her.

Drasna smiled slightly as she bent Cody back further and further with the Boston crab but she wasn't so into the move that she didn't notice them moving steadily back towards the ropes. 'I don't think so!' Drasna thought to herself as she let go of one of Cody's legs and turned around so that she was facing him. Pulling on his leg she would try and pull Cody up so that she could wrap her arms around his waist. If successful she would try and swing herself backwards to go for a German suplex!

Cody was impressed with Drasna right now and even if one would think he could’ve taken the lead and try to counter her anytime, Cody had to make sure for himself he still had it otherwise this spar was waste of time and he would feel bad about not giving Drasna the opportunity to truly showcase her own abilities at a later age. He wasn’t keen on going easy with her, but his body’s endurance was more important to him and so far, his age barely fazed his skills. Although, now, Drasna was in full control as she dispersed her hold and Cody’s attempted break out pulling him up into her grasp! Cody gasped as Drasna used her strength to hit a German Suplex as Cody buckled off the mat! Cody grabbed his back and narrowed his gaze at Drasna!

“Strong and beautiful….not a bad combination in the slightest. You’re truly becoming a great sparring partner,” Cody complimented as he rubbed his back.

Successful in managing to pull Cody off his feet and slamming the man into the mat with a German suplex Drasna would release her grip before sitting up smiling and pushing herself up to her feet immediately after. Turning and nodding at the man's complimentary words she would nod right back at him. "Handsome and a flatterer, I couldn't ask for a better heavy bag." Drasna shot back at him in a flirty tone with a teasing grin on her face directed to the man while gesturing with her hands for him to try and come at her.

Cody blushed at the little taunt from Drasna as he rose to his feet. Yeah, it was time to give it back 100% with her. She would expect it after all. Cody made a dash for her almost seemingly brushing off her earlier impact and he tried to lunge into a cobra clutch hold on Drasna. One would expect a submission here, but Cody had a different option in mind. Cody would try and surprise Drasna with a flip backwards into a standing Spanish Fly, one of Cody’s signature moves! He doesn’t have long left in wrestling and he always likes to pull out the things he learned from lucha libre. If this worked, Drasna would eat the brunt of this move on the canvas and Cody would try holding her down in a side headlock trying to think through his next move!

Taunting Cody to try and coax out some more competitive flare from the man Drasna would dart forward towards him, only to be caught and swung backwards into the air, crashing down hard with a Spanish fly! "Ngh!" Drasna cried out in pain, trying to sit up only to be caught between Cody's arms in a tight headlock! "Grrr!" She groaned out while swinging her legs back to try and knee Cody in the back to try and make him loosen his hold on her!
