Of All The Places....

"Well we need to get rolling don't we? We have won a few matches lately but we gotta stop these losses." Peggy said to Lauren as the two walked through he backstage hallways. They arrived at the arena early and we both in their street clothes as they hadn't even changed yet. Peggy was wearing a pair of jeans, white sneakers, and a green t-shirt as she walked next to her bigger, older tag partner. "We are gonna move our way up that damn card."

Lauren smiled and nodded patting Peggy on the back. "Of course we will. We work too hard to just be undercard gatekeepers you know?" Lauren said. Lauren was also wearing jeans but had a pair of black sneakers and a white t-shirt on. Neither woman saw any point to dressing overly fancy when they were at the arena before matches, or potential matches to fill in spots on the card. If they were going to be wearing one piece swimsuits, kneepads and wrestling boots shortly all while sweating up a storm what was the point of unnecessary dress up? "We have got to .500 as a team and we are both sort of inching closer to equalling out that win-loss record for ourselves on the solo scene. We can do this!" Lauren said cheerfully although just as determined as her more serious, younger partner.

The two saw the cafeteria coming up on the right, and turned in to see if they could get something to eat. It would be a while before any sort of match so the two figured having fuel to burn would help them keep up their energy in the ring should they be called for action. All in all both women were in a good, hopeful mood as they entered the large room.

The entirety of Emaline's Emerald Enclave sat around a table, occupying all four of its seats; the three girls sat on a chair while Emaline's handbag occupied the fourth chair. Emaline herself dressed herself in a business casual attire with a dark green blazer worn over a hot pink turtleneck paired with similarly green pants. Meanwhile, Shira wore a white blouse with a scarlet skirt and Yoro wore an oversize cyan shirt with short shorts. The pinkette busied herself with coffee flavoured icecream while the redhead enjoyed her coffee.

On the other hand- "I'm telling you, I'm so, so insanely close to clearing the entire ring in my entrance!" Yoyo exclaimed happily about whatever was in her mind. "With a bit more practice and training, I'm sure I can get deeper in there!" Her words prompted stares from some passerby but unsurprisingly, she didn't mind.
"I see." Emaline answered in a neutral tone, instead focusing her attention on slicing a miniscule piece of her ice cream to put into her mouth.
"G-good for you." Shira encouraged with an awkward smile. Her eyes darted to any nearby witnesses but she opted not to raise her concerns.

"Yup, I- wait a sec..." Yoro interrupted herelf when she saw a pair of familiar faces. "~Heyyy!~" She chirped aloud while waving her hand. "Peggy! Lauren! How are yah!? Congrats on your epic win, Lauren, you really worked me over! You too, Peggy! You were both awesome!"

Both women saw Yoro in the company of two others whom neither recognized. While Peggy scowled and crossed her arms, Lauren smiled and nodded. "Hello Yoro you are quite impressive in the ring yourself! I just barely managed to power through you and you pack a lot of punch in that little body of yours." Lauren said to her young wrestling counterpart. "Still these slams got ya in the end." Lauren added with a wink, flexing her arms.

Meanwhile Peggy just rolled her eyes. "Yeah thanks I guess. I friggin' stood on the outside cheering on Lauren. Not hard to do, and I am gonna get some payback against ya for that lucky win ya got on me." Peggy said coldly, keeping her stare focused on Yoro.

Lauren lightly elbowed Peggy to try to get her to lighten up. "So who are your friends here?" Lauren asked trying to change the topic.

[Kreydos]

"Nah, not about when you cheered for your friend, silly." Yoro answered Peggy's indignant response with a playful tone. "About the match you and I had, before then. The one you said I got lucky in." Yoyo clarified. "Luck or not, that was great girl on girl action yah?!" She then introduced her friends. "And these two are my pals." First, she gestured towards Emaline. "This is Emaline, genuinely one of the best wrestlers in the world!" Before moving on to Shira. "And this is Shira, also genuinely one of the best wrestlers in the world!"
"Hmph." Emaline scoffed and kept her attention focused on her ice cream.
"Hi-hi..." Conversely, Shira made an effort to introduce herself by shyly waving her hand. "A-and Yoyo's just being nice. I-I'm not really that good..."

Lauren nodded to both, noting Emaline's clear annoyance at the whole situation. "Nice to meet you all and I was impressed with your ability in the ring in that match as well Yoro it is a reason I wanted to challenge you myself." Lauren said, doing her best to chalk up Yoro's odd phrasing as her being young and not really knowing what she was implying. "So do you have any matches tonight?" Lauren asked trying to keep the conversation light and casual.

Peggy on the other hand just rolled her eyes and stood with her hands on her hips. "Look at 'em. They all are little bikini babes pretending to wrestle. They just shake their asses and make the crowd happy while real women like us try n' slam, smash and fight in that ring the way we are supposed to. Woman are fighters, we ain't for show." Peggy said shaking her head as Lauren shot a nasty look at her again to try to get her to stop being confrontational.

"None at all!" Yoro merrily answered Lauren's question. However, Peggy's less than friendly remarks prompted Emaline to click her tongue.
"I apologise but I will excuse myself from this conversation." She spoke in such an overly polite manner that it came off as condescending. "As interesting of a diversion as it would be to banter around with two women with a perpetual fifty/fifty win-loss ratio, I possess no interest in partaking in such banter." Without even sparing a glance at the two women she just insulted, she turned towards her two friends. "Yoro, Shira, handle whatever this is. I'd rather spend my time enjoying my ice cream."
"You got it!" Yoyo replied.
"Y-yes..." Shira seconded.
The former then beamed a bright smile at Peggy. "But yeah, she's not wrong." Yoro pointed out. "You were awesome in our match, yeah. But it's weird to call us out for 'pretending to wrestle' when your wins don't even outnumber your losses. I mean, you even lost to me in the end, haha."
"S-she means no offence..." The redhead added.

Lauren glared at Emaline as she sat silently. "I mean who the hell are you to say that? Do you have a title? An undefeated record? I mean you don't seem to be in any position to talk down to us." Lauren said as she shook her head, dismissively waving her hands at Emaline before turning her attention back to the other women whom she liked more. However unfortunately for Lauren, Peggy was shooting her mouth off.

"Yeah, you got lucky. There is no way you can beat an actual wrestler when ya just shake your ass and run around the ring like a floozy! I bet Lauren and I would wipe the floor with the likes of you ya bikini bimbo." Peggy said as she stood in Yoro's face with her hands on her hips. "Ya don't stand a chance against us, because you can't actually wrestle worth anything!"

Emaline did exactly as she declared and acted as if Lauren wasn't even there. Instead, the pinkette focused on eating her ice cream. Conversely, Yoro appeared to be rather enjoying herself talking to Peggy. "Of course I can!" The Japanese woman responded in a cheery fashion. "Beating 'actual wrestlers' by shaking my butt and running around the ring is my entire m.o. bay-bee! It's how I beat you after all, hehe."
"I-I feel like it's getting heated..." Shira tenatively pointed out. "I-is it getting heated?"

[Highfly]

"Heated lass? I am always heated when I see some pretenders who act like this ain't serious making money in a wrestling ring! Worse still is this damned fool managed to pick up a win against me. Watching Lauren slam your ass all over the ring was great. Ya know what? It was so great why don't we do it again? You two against us tonight if they got the time to slip it in on the card?" Peggy said with a sly smile on her face, her hands on her hips.

Lauren looked over and nodded. She was looking for action tonight and a chance to show everyone that the two old school wrestlers were ready and able to wrestle against anyone at any time. This could be a good chance to prove just that. "That sounds good to me. What do you two think?"

Shira recoiled backwards slightly when Peggy proposed a tag match between the four of them. "A-a tag match?.. Tonight?.. Isn't that-..."
"An awesome idea!" Yoro 'finished' her friend's sentence. "Sure, we're up for it!"
"I-I was actually going to say hasty..." Shira mumbled.
"I am confident that you are up to the task." Emaline encouraged her friend, despite never taking her eyes off her ice cream.
"Agreed!" Yoyo concured. "You, me, Peggy, Lauren! It'll be an awesome foursome for sure!"
