The Rouge and The Princess

Unread post by Aeri »

In the shadowy backstage of the main arena of L.A.W, a lone female was wandering through. Aesira was standing at 6’3.. and.. were those horns on her silhouette? making her a sight to behold for anyone in here. However, to Aesira’s disappointment.. it seemed like nobody was here, most of the wrestlers being somewhere else! She was sure she had followed directions to get to the main area..

It was the CORRIDORS that were moving, she was definitely going the right way! No way could she be lost.. on her first day.

Yeah, she didn’t think so.

“.. s’far as I recall.. I take a right.. then a left, then straight and left... and then I’m going to be.. somewhere not here anyways.”

She decidedly exclaimed. She had a small sigh escape her lips, but she was sure she had passed that poster like twice now, as she began to continue her walk, wandering around for a way out of these catacombs! Well catacombs for her at least.. since when she saw the map the first time, she may or may not have been holding it upside down. With another little grumble, Aesira just continued walking, she was gonna find a way out eventually.. right?

Selket hummed softly as she sat on a mat situation on a crate in the dark back corners of LAW. A remote and often deserted section of the LAW arena that many of the other girls said ‘looked like it belonged on the set of a horror movie.’ Thus it was a perfect place for the egyptian princess to rest in between her apperances and plan her schemes. But on this particular day it appeared a little mouse had wondered into her lair... or actually a rather large mouse now that she thought about it...

Looking up with dark violet eyes that glinted with burning ambition and a stark curioisty, Selket spotted the large white haired woman that wondered past the hall way adjacent to her own. ”Thats the third time she’s passed.. heh.” She said to herself with a macabre tone and smirk creeping onto her face as she hopped off her perch silently and elegantly. She had a chance for fun and Selket would be sure to take it.

Gliding across the floor with a barely a sound of her bare feet tapping against the floor Selket stuck to the shadows and... waited. Waited... there. In no time at all the white haired girl passed once more. ‘She really nust be terrible with diections.’ Selket thought to herself humorously as she suddenly slinked out, a hand going up and just grazing agaisnt the hair of the woman, pushing it back and to the side as if a wind had passed. ”My oh my don’t you look lost poor thing.” Selket said in a patronizing tone as she crossed her arms under her bust and looked into the eyes of the slightly taller woman before her.

Muttering as a slightly annoyed tone crept into her voice, the white haired woman grumbled in annoyance as she returned to where she had been. There was the goddamned poster AGAIN! Aesira had half a mind to rip it off, but she breathed in.. then out, reminding herself this was her dream job and she wasn’t gonna vandalise it.. she wasn’t. However since, she had stopped, she had been hearing.. things, slight hints of a voice? Must have been her imagination, as she squared her shoulders, and stride forwards.. only to feel something get through her hair! The immediate thought caused her to jump, a slight screech escaping her lips..

“A GHOS-oh..”

Before her sight fell on what, or rather who messed with her hair. A dark skinned, rather gorgeous woman.. as her cheeks turned red she was SO glad there were no cameras here, she’d be a laughing stock before her debut! Calming herself down, she focused on Selket.. crossing her arms and giving her an indignant huff.

“I am not lost. The walls are just.. the hallways are moving about!”

Aesira sighed. She stared at Selket, a small raise of an eyebrow.. as she wondered just who she was. So, not being one to mince words, she spoke bluntly.. in what she assumed was very polite

“Who the hell are you?”

Selket watched in ciriosity as the girl before her with intense curiosity, already analyzing her and her reactions to note for later. The way she moved, freaked out, fervishly tried to protect her own pride, all wrapped up by her attempt at looking tought with her gruff response.

”Fufufufu.” Selket breathed out a brief yet silky giggle at the response from the girl as she placed one arm under her chest and the other perpendicular to it, her fingers coming to her chin as she looked at the girl before her.

“My aren’t you brusque? You may address me as Selket, however do watch that tone you use around me, after all we are in my domain.”

She said with a silky tone that began to ooze danger towards the end if she felt slighted. That being said however Selket was already on the move, walking around the white haired woman and looking her up and down with a critical eye. “My you really are quite the creature. Its not often someone like you wanders this far.” Selket purred out before looking up to lock eyes with the girl.

“I believe it is customary to give your name in response by the way, am I correct?” She asked coyly to the taller girl after she did a once aroumd, lookkng into her eyes with that intense yet faraway look.

Aesira huffed softly, feeling Selket’s gaze on her.. hearing her words and her giggle. Which sent a slight shiver down her spine.. Selket was correct, she was in foreign territory indeed! This should have brought the realisation to anyone with common sense to tread lightly, but to Aesira? No can do. She puffed up her chest like a haughty bird, her tilting her head.

Watch that tone? She had been genuinely polite, at least for her, manners were somewhat of a foreign concept.. nor did she know what exactly “brusque” meant. She brushed off her shoulder with her palms.. ”..Yeah.. yeah, whatever..!”

Aesira blinked.

Oh yeah, she hadn’t introduced herself. No matter the chills Selket seemed to send down her spine and how she addressed her as “creature”, not giving her name was plain rude.

“I’m Aesira! Aesira Reinhart..!”

Staring down at the shorter, but imposing all the same, woman, Aesira glanced into her mysterious eyes.. before a slight twinkle of mischief entered her own amber orbs. Backstage, with a mysterious woman.. in a place completely unfamiliar to her.

Suffice to say, there was a scent of danger in the air, and Aesira loved it. She giggled a bit, a soft burst of laughter escaping her lips..

“Yep! Seems like you think I’m special, huh..? Why, you fancy tryna face me in the ring?”

Selket hummed softly to herself as the tall beauty before her seemed to consider her answer, not realizing that she had been so rude. But also not toning back her tone at all either. Something that she’d soon regret. But eventually the girl did in fact realize her mistake, and responded by giving her name making Selket smile softly, but not at all warmly as she merely looked the girl over for a moment.

”Reinhardt eh? German I assume?” She asked inquisitively as she continued to inspect and analyze the now named Aerisa. Without waiting for a answer in mind Selket instead moved to answer the white haired girl’s other question. “Speacial isn’t the word I’d use. More like... suitable.” She said with a patronizing tone as she met the amber eyes of Aesira with a dark intensity of her own.

“Yes.. I think you’d make an excellent sacrifice in fact. A perfect vessel to demonstrate my power.” She cooed out, her thoughts going to her true target, and using Aesira as a springboard for what she had planned just worked out perfectly. The fact she’d get to curb such an ego and a pretty face only made things all the better. “Hehe you sound so excited when you say that.. you have no sense of danger now do you?” She asked mockingly with a smile on her face as she stared the girl down

“Reinhardt? No.. Reinhart!.. well, at least I think. Parents were deadbeats. And yeah, German. What of it?”

She looked towards the woman, a slight huff escaping her lips. Aesira was unsure what she should make of the Egyptian princess, a slight eyebrow raised when she heard that. Suitable..? A sacrifice..?

This caused a slight chill to run down her spine, as Aesira grumbled, vowing to go to her room and check what did Egyptians consider a sacrifice? A small hint of red dusted her cheek as she met the other womans gaze, who stared into her eyes so intensely.. if she had to say, she’d find it just a bit creepy, slightly dangerous and even a bit exciting..

But then again. She liked dangerous. Aesira blinked a bit, not picking up on the other cues Selket gave her, clearly the Princess believed she was below her.. but that was the least of Aesiras concerns.

She tilted her head, and let out a loud ringing laugh that echoed through the empty hallways.. as she looked down at Selket, meeting her heavy and purposeful gaze with shining eyes..

“Hahaha! You’re wrong there! I do have a sense of danger, and it tells me.. you’re very dangerous, Selk-ie!

... but that’s the thing..! Danger.. excites me..”

Raising a brow at the sudden revelation of a portion of Aesira’s paat Selket hummed softy with a coy smile on her face as she placed her fingers under her chin. ”Oh? So ready you are to divulge information about yourself.” She stated observedly while looking over Aesira once more.

Blinking at the woman’s raucous laughter however Selket bristled ever so slightly at the woman’s nickname for her. But just as soon as she did so, just as soon did she push that reaction down to maintain her impassive expression.

“I see. You’re either incredibly naive, foolish, or bold. Or some combination of the three.” She said in a bemused tone, nothing about it or her expression making it clear whether she meant it as a insult, compliment or simple observation.

Never the less Selket flashed a devilish smile towards the rookie before her. “Very well then. Given you seem to enjoy danger, lets add some… speacial stakes to this battle.” Selket her eyes burning ever more ambitiously and darker, something being built up inside her mind that she would like to unleash upon the woman before her.

“.. oh, that? I don’t care. It’s the least of my concerns.. they’re horrid parents but.. i don’t claim them as “mine”, really..”

Her expression remained the same, cheerful, bold and sunny, giving no indication how she felt, if she felt any negative way about it that is. The white haired woman ran a hand through her hair, softly exhaling as she fingered the lower half, her turquoise locks being wrapped around her finger as she fidgeted. Just a bundle of energy.. after hearing Selkets comment, she placed a finger to her cheek..

“So I’ve been told.”

A slight smile played across her face, messing with Selket with those words. She had a pretty thick skin, insults were not something that would usually rile her up, her eyes lighting up soon afterwards as she mentioned adding some danger! Aesira smiled and nodded at her, before bending down to look her at a level height.. this seemed promising to the thrill seeker.

“Oooh, what kind of stakes?..

... Selk-ie?”

She had adopted the nickname. Liable to change, but she liked it! Made Selket seem more approachable in her mind..!

Once again Selket bristled at Aesira’s use of a nickname towards her. She didn’t appreciate the connotation such a name invoked, nor did she appreciate the tone at which Aesira used to speak to her. Never the less though she managed to maintain her composure as her smile turned just a shade more vicious.

”Well since you’re so eager to play with fire… it only seems appropriate to make it so you can get burned.” Selket said, already figuring she would have to explain the metaphor to the girl before her. ”In other words… no holds barred…. Loser becomes the winners prisoner of war for three days.” Selket suggested with a smirk, waiting to see Aesira’s reaction.
