Lone Star Redemption

Unread post by Devastated »

I had been a while since the last time that Dixie Clemets had stepped into the arena here at LAW, having taken a short break following her two consecutive defeats to The Amazon. A woman whom she'd thought little off when they first faced off and the bad attitude that Dixie had developed since coming here to LAW and not getting the reception and recognition she thought she should have, coupled with the slightest dirty moving having earned her to scorn of the fans, which tipped her over the edge.

Alaina's refusal to accept what Dixie had thought was fact only made things worse...and things deteriorated heavily between the two of them in a very rapid manner. Which eventually resulted in Dixie being utterly defeated, twice in a row she lost some tough matches to the Amazon and she had been proven wrong. At first she grumbled, thinking about going to demand another match...yet decided against it. Settling for a break.

Well now she was back...and she was clearly looking for someone. The Three Count Cowgirl walked down the backstage area, dressed a pair of form fitting denim jeans and a plain white shirt, the top two buttons left open of said shirt as her sleeves were rolled up past her elbows. Brown boots with a bit of heel that clacked as she walked up towards the locker room she'd been told was her destination.

Taking a deep breath, the Texan would try and calm her thoughts. She had decided to do this so she would. It didn't matter how the other person reacted. This wasn't just to try and make amends with her after all...it was to take the first step to get back on track. She'd knock...on the door of Alaina 'Amazon' Sanders locker room.

Alaina was dressed and ready for a match, relaxing in the locker room a bit before she heard a knock on the door. She wasn't sure who that could be although it wasn't uncommon for her to have visitors checking up on her. Hell, she would often go wander about and check on her friends who were also scheduled for in-ring action as well.

Alaina got up and opened the door, but her demeanor changed immediately. "What do you want?" Alaina asked, her fists clenched as she was ready for some sort of trick by Dixie leading to an outright brawl. Alaina didn't want trouble but it had been clear to her in the past what Dixie thought of her and that Dixie was more than happy to smash Alaina in the back with a blunt object....

When Alaina opened the door it felt like there was a big rock in Dixie's stomach. She was going to have to swallow whatever pride and hubris she had. Alaina clearly wasn't happy to see her either as she met the blonde with a scowl and a tensed up frame, clearly as if she was ready for a brawl of some sort. Shaking her head just a little, Dixie would bring her hands up in a gesture to show she had no ill intent.

" Ah ain't looking for a fite with'ya." The cowgirl spoke out with her southern drawl, " Just came'ere to talk with'ya." Dixie tried to remain calm in her demeanor but a tone in which she tried to convey an almost apologetic nuance to it. " Mind if ah come'in?" the Texan would ask as she gestured to the locker room, " Ah'd rather not do this in the hallway ya know? Though...if you don't want me to ah understand."

Alaina was silent for a minute as she eyed Dixie just to really make sure that she wasn't hiding anything. Alaina stepped aside to make room for Dixie to come in but she wasn't in the mood to spend much time with the woman. "Okay. Make it quick." Alaina said very flatly as she let Dixie in. Alaina would keep a small distance between them and while she did try to look casual she was on guard and ready to react just in case this was just a trap. Right now she still didn't trust the cowgirl in the locker room with her.

When Alaina stepped aside the blonde would nod her head and slowly walk into the room. She was quick to notice that Dixie kept a fair distance between them and it was clear why. Dixie didn't fault her for it and she didn't have any qualms about Alaina treating her with hostility, after all...she deserved it.

Clearing her throat a bit, Dixie would look on at Alaina. " Ah'm a pretty straight forward gal, so just gonna come out an say it like it is." Dixie spoke out as she placed a hand on her hip. " You were right and I was wrong." Dixie spoke as she would eye Alaina. " Ah treated you like trash and that was not okay." Dixie continued, " Heck, you've even proven that I was wrong. You gave me a right ol'asswhoppin. Twice no less." Dixie continued with that Southern drawl of hers. " Ah really just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I've been a huge dirtbag since comin'here and I wanna start making things right."

Alaina listened and eyeballed Dixie as she spoke. Everything about it seemed genuine. Alaina stayed quiet though as she ran everything through her mind to process what Dixie said.

"If that is true then I am glad to hear it. I don't know if I can forgive you, but just yet anyway." Alaina said. "As far as making things right I am not sure what there is to do other than just be better to people."

It seemed as if Alaina couldn't forgive her yet, she could understand that...it was only fair, and it was the Amazon's choice after all. " Yeah, I reckon that's the only way to fix that. Don't worry though, I'll show ya that ah'm serious about this." The Texan spoke as she would place her hands at her sides.

Letting out a bit of a sigh as she would look over at Alaina, " Look, Ah gotta at least make it clear. Ah was way wrong about ya." Dixie spoke as she gestured to Alaina's. " You're tough as all hell, and Ah was wrong to ever say or make ya think otherwise." Dixie wanted to make it clear that she had been proven wrong about Alaina through their encounters, and make sure Alaina know that Dixie had a great deal of respect for the Amazon now, at least no one was gonna say that Dixie was a sore loser.

"Well... I am happy to hear all this and I want to believe it is true. If it is then I am very happy for you as well as the people around you." Alaina said quietly. She took a breath and looked back at Dixie. "So... what exactly are you going to do next with this new outlook on life? I am curious to see what is going to happen next for you." Alaina said with her hands on her hips as she stood in the doorway still looking Dixie in the eye.

Dixie would let out a light sigh as she looked away from Alaina for a moment, her gaze trailing off towards the floor and then slowly up back at the Amazon. " What Ah'm gonna do huh? Well I plan to let my actions speak for me." Dixie said as she would rub her arm with her opposing hand. " Ah got a match scheduled for tonight. Plan to show everybody just who the real Dixie Clemets is." Dixie spoke out as she would nod her head.

Stepping up towards Alaina, slowly and in a very passive manner. She didn't want Alaina to think she was about to attack. " Ah'll show ya I'm serious about turnin' a new leaf." Dixie spoke as she would let her baby blue eyes meet Alaina's gaze, showing the determination and how serious the cowgirl was about this.

Alaina nodded along as Dixie spoke. The expression on her face didn't change but she was listening. Alaina did hope what she heard was true but given the history she had with Dixie she couldn't be entirely sure so the amazon was still on guard. She only had a few things to say in response, choosing to keep her words as short as she could. "Good. I really hope this is all true." Alaina said keeping her focused stare on Dixie. She didn't know who she would fight and she wasn't entirely sure what she would see but Alaina could hope for the best.
