Reagents - Kymical Saga One

"You're on."

Oh, how long this was overdue.
Cue My Music
Her music burst into life as the arena darkened. The crowd roared to life; the flimsy stage walls couldn't mask the excitement beyond the darkened tunnel. It was a sensation she could feel, past the auditory pounding in her ears. She felt a tremble of excitement wash down her spine and into her legs that threaten to freeze them in place, but she had been in this business far too long to let it stop her. Yet even as she moved, she felt almost as if she were floating, failing to feel her legs carry her forward.

The flickering of her introduction video, a chemical explosion of digital colors washed into the stage entrance and just around the corner, she could spot the first few fans in attendance. Had they peered past the artificial fog and seen her yet? Or were they trying to?

That would soon not matter as finally, the mysterious figure returning to the ring had finally stepped out into the light.

They erupted as the artificial blonde stepped out into the arena lights.

This thrill is...

Eyes of red scanned the figures thrashing in the dark, practically leaping out of their chairs unable to contain themselves.

... so infectious.

She felt that thrill creep into her heart as her eyes shifted away from the crowd and looked down the ramp towards her opponent.

A smile sharpened under her mask as her knuckles tightened inside her overcoat's pockets.

How I've looonged to see it again~

She took a step forward. Did her opponent even know what was coming? How long until that dread and despair surfaced? Or did the other naively believe this was going to be alright? Each step brought her closer, the features of her opponent becoming clear. At a distance it was all confidence, but she had been in this game long enough to know what to look for. Reaching the edge of the ring, she reached a hand up and there she saw it. A nervous flicker.

They all broke sooner or later and this one will break soon enough~
Juno
She pulled herself into the ring...
Juno
The crowd was chanting her name?
Juno!

"Juno!"
"Ugh...She's spacing out again, Haru."

Judith Gage, blinked a few times before her gaze shifted to the two standing in the ring. "Hm?" Judith grunted roughly though the volume was blunted by having to travel through her mask. She reached up and ran a hand through her dyed blonde hair to buy herself a moment to think. The dreams of the future were just that. Dreams. She shouldn't waste time on something so fruitless when she had something else to occupy her attention.

"Yes. Regretting my decision to become your trainer." Judith said plainly without an air of sharpness that made it difficult to determine if she was sarcastic or not.

"Kch! You don't have to be so harsh, you know." Yui snapped, her expression soured more than usual as she crossed her arms, visibly annoyed, again more than usual. Judith's gaze shifted to her, eyes narrowing in focus. The look made Yui grow visibly uncomfortable but there was no venomous intent in it. Judith was just taking stock on the worst of the two when it came to... well just about everything. At 5'3" and just over a hundred pounds when wet, Yui Norikae was about as useful as a paperweight in the wrestling sphere. The only thing she had was her willingness to do anything when backed into a corner, sometimes a difficult thing to teach to the more noble-hearted.

"She's not serious. I think." Haruka muttered with a shrug as she turned, stretching out her arms. The motion caught Judith's attention as she shifted her gaze back to the one trainee that had potential. Haruka Tetsudō was nearly as tall as Judith and her build displayed clear muscles. Where Yui had been worthless, Haruka was worthwhile, a real gem in the dirt. She had a hunger to prove herself as capable about anything she put her mind to, and it was this that had brought Judith to pull her out of that wasteful heap of an amusement park. She was fine if it came with having to drag Yui along because Haruka had clear potential.

"You're right." Judith admitted, her hands slipping from the edge of the ring and down into her pockets. "I should be serious for a change." She felt her fists tighten in her pockets as a expression sharpened into a hidden grin. She felt a tremble of excitement down her back as she considered the pair. "Enough theoreticals. You two versus me."

Yui and Haruka froze as Judith climbed up into the ring, slipping inside. Their reactions as opposite as their constitutions:
"Can we not??"
"About time."
