Confusion and clarity coalesced as Courage suckled gently upon Ayame's lower lip. She couldn't put into words how she felt about Ayame. But as their kiss resumed, she understood it perfectly. The heart was often incomprehensible to the human mind... But it urged her onward as hers connected with Ayame's.

Her head turned to access Ayame better access to her mouth. So that their tongues could caress one another. So that she could taste more of her. Her hands began to wander. Her fingers expertly kneaded and massaged the muscles in Ayame's side and back as she pulled her tightly against her. Her breasts mushroomed against Ayame's and made it slightly harder to breathe... But it just made the panting of their kiss feel more intimate.

Her eyes were closed tightly as she fled from any reality where they weren't entangled in each other's arms. She was running through everything she should be doing. She didn’t even know what she and Courage were. The hardest part was trying to think rationally in-between all of her very inappropriate thoughts. Things that never ran through her head that she had seen done in LAW’s matches she was contemplating giving a try in this park. When she felt her hands coming to clench Courage’s butt and grab them she realized she might be going too far and with all the will power she had Ayame would finally try to pull away. “Wait wait wait! This is getting too tense. Whoo.” Ayame broke away face red breathe heavy and eyes hungry but alarmed. Every part of her wanted to jump back on Courage but if she gave in now she might not be able to stop herself again.

Courage hadn't realized they were descending onto the grass until she felt the relief of her weight being borne by the Earth. It was the first and only thought that slipped into her mind that wasn't about Ayame, or how warm she was, or how soft she felt. Or how good she tasted!

She was completely in tune with the other girls body. Her rapid beating heart was in sync with Ayame's. She knew, because she could feel her pulse through their kiss.

She felt her hands moving below her waist. And her breathe froze in her chest as she anticipated her touch upon her backside. She shuddered. Eager, no, desperate for it.

But instead Ayame withdrew.

Her lips curled into a pout. A piut coated with another girls' saliva. But a pout no less. She quickly suppressed those feelings and her expression turned to one of concern, rather than disappointment... perhaps she'd crossed a line? She'd completely given in... gave up control. She knew what she wanted, even if she couldn't verbalize it. And she went for it. But maybe Ayame hadn't felt the same...

"O..oh gosh. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-" She paused... Not sure what to say. She did mean to. In that moment she'd wanted nothing more than to kiss her. To be close to her. To know more about her body... about all of her.

Her face turned beat red as she looked at the girl she was lying beside in the grass. She controlled her lip, kept it from quivering. But even through her rosy cheeks and sad eyes, Ayame could see the blush of arousal on her face. And the lustful admiration and desire that was in her brilliant emerald eyes tucked behind her glasses.

Ayame had a flurry of emotions to endure. She felt like she had made a big mistake breaking the kiss but relieved at the same time. Her mind and body having two different opinions about what she should do and a wave of heat flowing across her because of this conflict. None of which was Courage’s fault. “No it’s not you. R-really it’s not. I just can’t do that. I’ve never been like that before or close to it. I don’t want to mess anything up by going too fast.” That much she could tell her. Because going too fast was the only thing every part of her agreed with. She wanted more and to stop at the same time so until she could actually figure things out not trying to snuggle Courage so hard she was fused to her chest was the smart play until she calmed herself down. Fanning herself and controlling her frantic breathing while she tried to sit up right.

"M-mess anything up?" She asked and her lip quiver stopped as her mind went into contemplation. Did that mean... That this was a thing? Or... Could be a thing?

Her eyes closed as she tried to control the flutter of her heart. The last few months had been a whirlwind for her. So much had changed... She thought she'd lose her identity as an idol. Then she took a gamble and found a new identity as a wrestler... It hadn't gone well... But she found herself growing to love that even more, despite not doing so well... And now... Perhaps she had found another new identity? As a... Girlfriend?

She shook her head. Her long hair fluttered about in the erratic movement. She shook out the confusing feelings of youth... The adrenaline of excitement and the fire of something she was feeling for the first time. And just wrapped her arms around Ayame to hold her tight. She gave her a squeeze.

"Thank you Ayame! You're r-right! This isn't enough... Thank you!" She found the girl's hand to give it another small squeeze before letting her go and allowing some space between them. But even in doing so, she didn't feel farther apart from her. And when she met Ayame's eyes this time... It was with a happy smile.

Courage’s mind may have been a whirlwind just like hers. Ayame didn’t have a single idea on what to do next. Everything hit her so fast and the emotions she had felt in 10 minutes had moved through her so quickly she thought her heart would explode. Thankfully stopping everything had given her more time to think and contemplate what she should do next but all that still didn’t mean an answer would pop in her head. It worked for Courage who after a second didn’t seem worried but contemplated things, and after that was at peace when she wrapped her arms around Ayame. She didn’t think too much on her words since the close hug made her body heat up again. Thankfully not with an intensity that was too much for her but a simple warmth that was soothing and calm after the erratic bouts of heat that made her heart feel like it was going to explode. So while she still didn’t have all the answers she needed she knew what she could do. Give Courage an encouraging smile to match the heart fluttering one she was giving her and hug her back. “Welcome. Sorry for scaring you like that.”

The two girls were hugging. And it was a sweet thing after their intimate contact. Like a dessert coffee. It put Courage's heart at ease and seemed to do the same for Ayame. And after a few more moments of solace, she pulled away and climbed up onto her feet. From there, she offered a hand to Ayame that was accompanied by a brilliant, emerald-lit smile!

"It's okay. It isn't your fault. I've just never... You know." She blushed and resisted the urge to giggle like a school girl. "But. I'd like to. Again. With you." She looked away to hide a look that was a bit too eager and bit impish. "Not tonight. But... If you would... Maybe another night?" She looked back to Ayame, no longer worried about the girl seeing the glow on her cheeks. "When we get back to Japan-"

She paused and looked up at the stars... America had been beautiful. But it was ephemeral. And she didn't want something that blazed bright and was gone the next night. "Would you go out on a date with me?"

“New for both of us. Totally blind here!” Ayame wanted to reassure Courage that they were both navigating through new seas with what had just happened. The disaster was behind them still yet Ayame would rather remove any chance of another one while it was still clear sails. In truth she wanted to keep going but moving too fast could ruin everything. At least that’s what her experience watching and reading books had told her. Surely there had to be some truth to the idea of so many people believed it. She was happy to listen to Courage and enjoy the night sky while she got her words out asking her out on a date. In hindsight this spot had all the right points on a dating list, she’d have to keep something like this in mind for any future dates. As far as current ones she knew the answer as soon as the question was asked. “I should be asking you that. I have to treat you for this wonderful night.”
