Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

"Alright, Moo Moo Meadows works for me," Chiaki said. It was a simple map, a few easy shortcuts with a couple tricks hidden in them for the gamer girl to make use of. Chiaki got the race up and running, Lakitu counted down to the start, and the first race was off. Chiaki got the starting boost that anybody who'd ever played Mario Kart before new how to get, and was hovering near the front.

Chiaki let herself stay just a bit back of the podium, hoping to pick up a Mushroom from an item box. She ended up getting one, and made use of her trick. Of the three Mushroom shortcuts on Moo Moo Meadows, the 2nd and 3rd were barely too long for a Mushroom to get the full shortcut, so you'd bleed time driving on grass without a boost after it ran out. But it was close enough that if you hopped right before you got to the grass and cleared just a little bit of it, then the Mushroom would get you the full way across.

Chiaki would jump to first with her optimized shortcut, and now since she didn't need to sandbag for a Mushroom anymore, the gamer girl would shift into high gear to break away from the pack. Better driving through better angles, tighter turns, and efficient turbos would see the ultimate gamer build a comfortable lead into the second lap.

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

The race was off to a great start for Chiaki and a tumultuous start for Kanako, who was among the few that didn't get the starting boost. As Chiaki was making good progress and forming a steady lead over the rest of the pack Kanako was stuck at the back, not from a lack of gaming skills (though she wasn't exactly a pro in that regard) but because a good amount of their fellow racers had forgone trying to win in favour of trying to make sure the brunette had to go through with her punishment game! They were prioritising Kanako as a target for all of their powerups, pushing her bike into the grass to force her to go slow and just generally being a nuisance for the superstar.

"Grrrr, what the heck guys!?!"

Kanako was visibly getting frustrated at this treatment, turning the wheel controller harder when she moved as if that would make her drive better and yelling in gamer rage. Her movements became so erratic that at one point she bumped into Chiaki in real life when trying to turn into a drift, accidentally hitting her controller with the wheel.

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

"I. . . I think I should have seen this coming," Chiaki said just before she was bumped into, witnessing the digital train getting ran on Kanako's character on the split screen by most of the other 10 racers in the game. But luckily for the smother specialist, Chiaki was just about coming up on the back of the pack as she was about to begin lapping the other racers. And she had Triple Green Shells

Kanako was in 12th, dead last, but she wasn't actually too far back. She recognized 10th and 11th place from previous games as being subpar drivers, and they were playing below even that standard since they were more focused on holding Kanako back than performing well themselves. So they ended up hamstringing there own cause by not pulling ahead of her when they probably had the chance. 9th had a bit more of a cushion, but was still easily within striking distance.

Even now, they were still throwing items backwards at Kanako, which Chiaki herself had to dodge when it missed its target. "If that's how you wanna play," the gamer girl murmured as she lapped Kanako, then threw her first shell at 10th place, and her second at 11th. Both shells sniped their targets, allowing the stream guest to move into tenth. Chiaki could have stayed with Kanako, but instead went a little off route to side swipe the player who had been hit with the first shell just as their mercy invincibility wore off, putting them even further back.

Chiaki would then use her superior skills to pull back ahead of Kanako and settle in front of her, staying there just long enough to give her a draft boost to get further ahead, but getting her own kart out of the way in time so that she wasn't struck by the speeding redhead. The boost would get Kanako in range of 9th place, and if she was clever enough to put what Chiaki had just show her to use, Kanako could chain the draft she had gotten from the gamer girl into a second draft on 9th place to move ahead of them too.

But was Chiaki let Kanako by, the player who had only been hit by one shell took advantage too, moving in between the two women on stream, driving like he had the intent to get a draft off of Kanako and knock her back. But Chiaki got behind them before they could get behind Kanako as they went around a turn, and masterfully combined the drift and draft boosts to blow past the player in front of her before he could exploit Kanako. "Hey hey," she finally spoke up after her sequence of sheer dominance, "I don't want to escort Kanako to protect her from the punishment game, but if you guys are going to all gang up and try to force her into last, then I will."

After Kanako was beat down and bullied in the game she would fly into a frustrated rage and start playing far more erratically, much to the amusement of Chiaki's chat who would start posting a stream of emojis to express how funny they found her predicament. Chiaki however did not find this very funny, and would come to the Superstar's aid with a few well placed green shells to get them off her back. With each one Kanako passed by her expression would soften, eventually breaking out to a grin as Chiaki helped her get into 8th place and scolded the players who were trying to hold her back "Wow, you're so cool Chiaki-chan <3!" Kanako would chirp, leaning into the gamer girl so that their shoulders were touching. Kanako would then turn her attention back to the game, cheering as she managed to pick up a red shell "Alright! Out of the way Chiaki-chan!"

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

Unread post by deezcastforms »

Chiaki hoped that she had given Kanako enough of a cushion to stay out of last place, because it wasn't as if she really could stick next to Kanako for the rest of the race. She had just been in position to help her guest because that had happened to be the timing for when she was starting to lap the field. Unless Chiaki got dragged back by a nasty barrage of items, she probably wouldn't be in a position to help again. Chiaki could deliberately slow herself up to stay near, but she knew that the racer in second was good enough to run her down and leave the streamer herself with a punishment game if she did.

Of course, Chiaki wasn't going to say that out loud and key in everybody who hadn't realized that yet. Kanako had gotten to 9th place when she warned the pinkette about her red shell, so with Chiaki having resolved to go back to driving as well as she could manage, she simply lapped the player in 8th before signaling back to Kanako, "I'm clear." From there, Chiaki wouldn't have any trouble securing the win. She got hit with a couple of Blue Shells, but neither knocked her out of bounds or into a map hazard, so they didn't slow the gamer girl down enough to affect her lead. It would all come down to if Kanako could hold off the back of the pack.

With Chiaki passing her by Kanako would let her Red Shell fly and smash into the Luigi in front of her, allowing the Superstar to pass them by and fly into 8th place "Haha! Suck it!" she would yell in a very un-idol-like manner as her character passed on by. The rest of the race would go on fairly tensely but Kanako was able to finish in 10th place, only losing a little bit of ground to the trolls thanks to the lead over them Chiaki had given her. It wasn't exactly a great placement but it wasn't last; sparing Kanako from the punishment game "We did it, Chiaki-chan ♪!" Kanako would declare, wrapping up the slightly larger girl in a tight hug that pushed her arm into the superstar's cleavage.

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

Unread post by deezcastforms »

Chiaki smiled, Kanako cheered, and the chat moaned as it became official that the stream's guest star would get to avoid a punishment game. At least, in the moment. A circuit in Mario Kart was four races, after all. Chiaki and Kanako would lock back in if they didn't still want to be subject to punishment from the horny whims of the audience.

The next two races cut it as close as the first. The ten chat members in the game weren't even trying to keep Chiaki from winning, they saw Kanako as the easier target and hounded her relentlessly. At most, one or two people who were too far up to target Kanako would go after Chiaki since she was simply in proximity, but by the third race, even they were going so far as to intentionally sandbag so they could hang back closer to Kanako.

Chiaki did what she could, but she was only in position to help Kanako when she came around to lap her. Which even with her immense skill, could only realistically happen once in a three lap race. The gamer girl hung back extra long to protect Kanako, even letting herself fall into third in the second race as the few ambitious racers tried to use Chiaki's protection of her guest against her. But once Chiaki managed to comeback and win that race after setting Kanako up for an 8th place finish, even the racers who had been willing to take a crack at the pinkette gave up, and the third race truly became all ten chat racers gunning exclusively for Kanako. Chiaki even realized partway through the first lap that the ten chat racers were using a voice channel in her Discord server to communicate and collude.

The only saving grace that the stream girls had in that third race was the awkwardness that came with trying to work as a group to make somebody finish last. It was far easier to trip another racer up from behind, but of course they had to stay out in front of Kanako in some capacity, lest Chiaki crack open a window for Kanako to pull ahead to a cushion that would keep her safe. Perhaps if this was practiced, the former idol would have been done for, but none of the chat racers had ever played Mario Kart to put somebody else in last before, rather than to get themselves in first.

In the end, Kanako finished the third race in 11th, only half a kart length in front of last. Chiaki had had enough. "Last race, Rainbow Road, and I'm changing the rules of the game," she said. "Kanako is no longer subject to the punishment game, no matter how she races or finishes. In exchange, since you guys aren't even willing to try to beat me anymore, I'll make it easier for you to get me in a punishment."

"My no shortcut time trial personal best on this course is 2'24"281," Chiaki said. "Since I'm not starting with Mushrooms, and will have ten people trying to stop me, let's add 45 seconds to that. That's fair, I think. So if I finish slower than 3 minutes and 9 seconds, I'll get a punishment. And for every 5 seconds slower than that I am, I'll get a worse punishment. And if any of you get first place over me, then I'll do a special punishment. Only thing with that, is that since we'll have punishments that get progressively worse the slower I go, we'll need to figure them out before we race, I think."

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

Unread post by pikazard »

The first race had already been a frustrating experience for Kanako, having been brought dangerously close to finishing last and having to do a punishment game thanks to Chiaki's fans conspiring against her, but the next two games were even worse! The fans had given up any notion of outdoing the gamer girl and were just exclusively focusing on trying to force Kanako into last place, making what should have been a fun little challenge for the superstar into an aggravating test of her patience. By the time they were halfway through the third of four races the Supernova was feeling ready to make like her namesake and explode! The only thing holding her back was the worry that she would damage Chiaki's wheel controller in her rage, and even then it was only her reverence for the gimmicky device that saved it.

Thankfully Kanako was able to edge out a victory thanks to the 11th place player slipping on a banana peel that was intended for her, but even then it was close! It was looking increasingly likely that the fourth time might be the charm, but thankfully Chiaki would come to Kanako's rescue by altering the conditions of the punishment game; Kanako was no longer subject to the punishment even if she was last, but now the requirements to make Chiaki perform a punishment were easier to achieve. Kanako would hug Chiaki from the side out of gratitude that she no longer was in danger of losing "Thank you so much Chiaki-chaaaaan...! You're my hero!" however, when the topic of figuring out Chiaki's punishment was brought up the brunette was quick to change her tune "Hmmm... how about I get to put you in wrestling holds? And how long you have to endure them is based on the time...! Don't worry though, I won't do anything too painful, just sexy stuff" she suggested, ending off her proposal with a wink.

"Yeah, you putting me in holds is probably the way to go about this, I think. At least for if I get a really bad time," Chiaki said. They got a little further into discussing possible non-wrestling punishments for lesser penalties when a Text To Speech notification came on over the stream. It said it was from Fuuka Yamagishi, Chiaki's tag team partner.

Hey everybody! I'm not too far out from your place, Chiaki. If you two are okay with it, I could come over, and we could have an Ultimate Punishment where both me and Kanako are putting you in 2 v 1 holds. But only for something really bad. Like if you don't even finish top 3.

Chiaki pondered Fuuka's suggestion before saying, "I don't have a problem with it. Come on over. Even if you aren't needed for a punishment, I think it would be nice for two of my closest LAW friends to meet up. Maybe I'll have to try to get a hold of Shiori too, and we'll make it a party. Actually, you've fought her, haven't you, Kanako?" As she waited for an answer, Chiaki checked Discord, "Ah, I don't think she's online. Oh well. Guess it'll just have to be the three of us."

Re: Post Match Interview! Chiaki and Kanako

Unread post by pikazard »

As the two of them discussed what Chiaki's punishment could be Chiaki's friend Fuuka would pop up on their chat, adding to the stipulation by suggesting that she could come over and help Kanako dish out Chiaki's punishment if the gamer did badly enough. Kanako herself didn't see the need to add this, given how well Chiaki had been playing so far she couldn't imagine her losing. But Chiaki seemed quite eager to introduce Kanako and Fuuka to each other and so Kanako would nod in agreement, even if she had wanted to keep the gamer to herself when Fuuka was last brought up "Sure, come on over Fuuka-chan!"

Kanako's ears would then prick up when Chiaki mentioned Shiori, asking the brunette if she'd faced her before "You mean Shiori Takeba, right? Yeah, I faced her before..." Kanako giggled slightly, and her cheeks lit up as she recalled a memory "...that was a good day" is all she would say, not wanting to go into specifics while she was on camera.
