An Unwanted Reunion (for Killcarrion)

Kazuya seemed just as eager for this fight as Makie was: with an undramatic flourish, he flung his hoodie out of the ring, leaving just his undershirt and biceps on full display. Biceps that Makie remembered all too well, given how Kazuya had tried to choke the life out of her in more than one occasion in their last match. Even if it wasn't official, though, and even if it was just a spar, Makie told herself that this time would be different. This time, she was going to beat this bastard.

She glared at Kazuya. Kazuya glared at her.

The ref signalled for them to begin.

In an instant, she was running, sprinting at Kazuya: she had no intention of locking up with him: she had a lot of pent up aggression that she needed to release in the most direct way possible, with a running charge and a drop kick to hammer her boot right into Kazuya's face.

Unfortunately, Kazuya had the same idea.

"GUUUUNGH!" Makie barely even registered if her own kick had landed or not, as Kazuya's boot crashed into the side of her skull, snapping her head to the side. She listed, dazed, and then crumpled onto her side, blinking as she was left momentarily stunned by that heavy blow...

Makie wasn't the only one undergoing flashbacks in regard to their first encounter, in particular how the ferocious spitfire damn near pummeled Kazuya into unconsciousness with relentless elbow strikes. Underestimating just how aggressive Makie could be once she had rallied enough momentum behind her was a mistake he intended to circumvent this time around. Namely via taking the contentious fight straight to her right out of the damn gate instead of wasting time with bullshit grappling and submissions, at least not yet. Pure Beast Mode. Tacking on his own strikes meant to slow her down or stifle any gameplan she'd concoct later on down the match. Unfortunately, this was a plan of attack approved upon by Makie as well. "HAAAAAAGH!!!" Kazuya bellowed out when both competitors ended up connecting flush with into the side of eachother's faces, flooring both spiky-haired competitors now languishing on the canvas as a baffled referee merely stood in confusion between them. "RAGH...The Fuck...Sprinting headfirst into some kamikaze bullshit??!! Who the fuck just opens a match like that??!!" Kazuya snarled out with a hand covering his grimaced facials, lethargically arising with accusations directed towards Makie that could be interpreted as just a little hypocritical...

The two of them had kicked each other at the same time.

In Makie's storied career, that had happened to her exceedingly rarely. That was because most of the time, both wrestlers had the presence of mine not to simply rush at one another feet-first. To the audience, it was some anime-level stuff; to wrestlers, it was incredibly idiotic and more than a little embarrassing. Rubbing her sore jaw, Makie began to push herself up to her feet, seeing Kazuya doing the same opposite her.

"It seemed good enough for you!" she snarled back, answering Kazuya's sniping with some of her own. Kipping back up to her feet, she once again sprinted forward, lunging at Kazuya...and then dropping low, aiming to sprint under and past him, before spinning around, aiming to slam her bare heel into the side of his head with an elegantly executed spinning kick!

The benefits of having this match take place within a secluded subsection of the fitness center instead of on the main stage in front of a worldwide audience were already beginning to become appreciated since it meant only the scant few people hanging around the ring were the ones who bore witness to that embarrassing little spectacle there. A hard-headed collision between enraged egos that Kazuya was only just now recovering from while soothing the same area on his jawline that Makie was. "Tch..." Kazuya sucked his teeth while arising just in time to catch Makie dashing straight towards him once again, except this time deciding to solidify his guard with raised arms and chin tucked down. A wise decision since it enabled him to stifle some of the impact from her masterful spin kick that was too fast for him to catch anyway. Somewhat rattled with a reflective wince, but afterward crouching down and sprinting straight ahead intending to catch the nimble Makie Akamatsu with a shoulder tackle into her abdomen with arms wrapped around her waist. If captured, Makie would wind up crashed back first into the corner turnbuckle behind her.
