Settling In

Angela came off the wall full of intensity, and admittedly, it made the cool and collected Mina Takemi tense up. She took a step back and braced herself. Her own eyes narrowed to match the other mother's intensity... But behind the preparedness was an eagerness. An instinctual and reflexive desire to feel the other woman's body as she hefted it off the ground and drove her into the Earth! A need to feel how her belly sank from a punch!

But then, she didn't attack. And so Mina relaxed at the same time, beating away fight or flight reflexes. Though she couldn't help but bristle as she felt her nipples harden against her t-shirt. Right here. In the hallway. It could have been so sweet...

"It isn't a craze Angela. It is the rules." She stated flatly. "If you don't like it, then I suggest you take your daughter and run from LAW." She crossed her arms under her breasts. It was a defensive posture, but it was also inspired by her breasts begging to be touched. The adrenaline hadn't quite left her system yet and this simple heft would sate her inner beast.

"There have always been women who can't execute a suplex." She argued. "But now, those women might be able to make you tap with their lips." Her posture softened and she smirked. "It isn't a craze. The game has evolved. And these techniques you're looking down on can end a match just as quickly as a piledriver. Clean matches exist, but they're rarer and rarer. Sex and violence share a bed in this league. And if you are going to be here, you better prepare yourself for that possibility." She clicked her tongue as a thought she hadn't considered entered her head.

"Perhaps it's your daughter that needs to prepare you." She offered. "She knows what she's here for. It's clear in her eyes. But you? What are you here for? Hm? It can't simply be to condescend and judge the other hard-working women on the roster, is it?"

Angela tipped her head to the side at Mina’s response, seeing her bristle back, and her brow furrowed at the sight. Was that really where they were at? Maybe it wasn’t as serious as all that, but it was kind of a sad statement. Despite all the time they’d spent apart and their current disagreement, she did view the woman as a friend. One of the few ones she still had left, really.

She rolled her shoulders back, trying to take less of an offensive posture as Mina spoke. She kept her face still, blinking, lips set and eyes focused as she went on, not even attempting to get a word in edgewise. Not that she could’ve if she tried - the woman was every bit as good with her words as she remembered. There was a tone about her that was motherly, but at the same time dominating, convincing you of the rightness of what she said. It was a strange thing to put a finger on, but Mina just had a way of sounding right.

It wasn’t the easiest thing for Angela to argue against, even though she wanted to. She could’ve said a few things. She could’ve told her that she was here to set an example for her daughter, to set her along the better path and prove what a wrestler could be at their greatest. She could say that she was here to protect her from all the vultures that stalked the halls, looking for fresh meat to exploit in efforts to push their careers. She could say that she was here because this was where some of the best wrestlers in the world congregated, and she wanted to test herself against them while her body still had the strength.

Angela said none of these things. Instead, she leaned forward after a few quiet moments and pressed her lips against Mina’s in a soft kiss.

It was brief, and she didn't even bring out the tongue for it, but she didn’t need to. The touch was electric enough by itself, a fiery touch that sent a shiver down her body and sent her back by a couple of decades. She could’ve stayed here and indulged in it.

Instead, she pulled away and sighed. ”I need to get going, Dizzy is waiting for me.” She turned on her heel and started down the hall. ”Another time, Mina. Take care.”

The two women met in the middle of that hallway with a chaste kiss. It wasn't exactly the physical contact that Mina's strangely defensive instincts had expected. The touch of her soft lips against her own took her on a trip. She fell backward through time. The memories had been vague, but the taste of her, even without tongue, suddenly forced clarity upon her.

She let out a sigh through her lips while Angela was still in contact. A tease of hot breath that would warm both of their mouths. One of her hands instinctively came up to cup Angela's cheek and brush a strand of hair away from her face. Her eyes closed. And then the kiss was over.

Their parting brought another sigh from the depths of her chest. She could feel her heart pounding beneath her breasts. The kiss had drained away some of Mina's aura of control. There was a look in her brilliant green eyes that let Angela know that she hadn't wanted the kiss to end. But Angela turned away so quickly that she might not have seen it.

"Mmn." She tried to speak, but only a whimper came out. She chewed on her bottom lip girlishly before finding her voice. "You can count on it, Angela. After all, we work together now." There was a strange weight to the last words... Was it a threat? A prayer? Either way... It was loaded.
