Wine N' Wrestling: Alaina and Arlise Laid Back Interview

Alaina was excited to have another interview akin to what she did with Gemma Faraday months ago, and now she got the green light from LAW publications to make it an official thing. It was a gorgeous day out and the amazon was lounging in a beach chair in her front lawn soaking up the sun with another chair next to her. The bikini clad Alaina wore a red bottom and black top making sure the bottles of wine between the two chairs were just the right temperature. She had a merlot and semi-sweet riesling at the ready... and truth be told she was already having her first glass of the semi-sweet riesling.

Alaina only had a pair of sunglasses on in addition to the bikini as she waited for Arlise to arrive. Alaina had told her of the "events" of today and the dress code. She knew Arlise loved the red and black color combo so the amazon hoped she approved of Alaina's bikini choice. Alaina would ask Arlise questions and vice versa. Anything and everything was on the table for discussion and it was known already that whatever they asked each other about would make it to various LAW publications. In addition they were going to do some friendly contests in Alaina's home gym and practice ring.

Alaina grinned and sat back adjusting her sunglasses as she sipped her wine again, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Arlise.

Arlise Christiaens did not know what to make of this proposition, even if she had ultimately accepted it.

Months back, she had wrestled Alaina Sanders. For all her eager anticipation of the match - who did not want the chance to wrestle and beat a legend in her debut year? - the actual match experience had gone more backward than Lise could have ever dreamed. Not only had Alaina plastered her all over the mat and left Arlise unconsious between her legs with a headscissor finisher in a display that the redhead might have unleashed on her opponents in her old promotion, but the brutaliy and pragmatism that Alaina had shown during and after the match had left Arlise with... mixed feelings, to put it lightly. She could not tell if the veteran respected her, thought her a waste of space, or merely treated everyone as a mere obstacle in her path, but ultimately, the experience had shocked and humiliated Lise.

Yet she had taken no more than an hour to respond positively to Alaina's request that she come by her place - er, mansion? - for what the veteran had described as a casual interview involving wine and their nicest swimsuits.

As Lise stepped out of the cab that brought her to Alaina's front lawn, tipping her sunglasses down to take in the beautiful place, she still debated what the point of this could be. The Belgian hoped this meant that her guess that Alaina had respected her and given her best in their match proved true. After glancing down at herself once more to ensure she looked proper - and remembering that her thin white beach coverup made it difficult to tell - Lise tuened to wave at the driver. When he drove away, she was left alone at the entrance to the grounds, anxiously leaning back and forth in her sandals. She hated not knowing fully to expect from people, but the curiosity and knowledge of the potential opportunity spurned her forward after she nodded to herself.

Arlise took off slowly across the lawn, having no trouble spotting a lounging figure that must have been Alaina a few dozen feet away. "As long as she doesn't lift me over her head as a greeting...", Arlise mumbled to herself, before taking off in that direction and throwing up a hand in Alaina's direction when it seemed the Amazon looked her way.

Alaina looked up as she finished her first glass of wine and had started filling up a second when she saw the beautiful Belgian red-haired grappler approaching. "Arlise! I am glad you came!" Alaina said as she stood up and approached, extending her hand for a handshake with a smile on her face. "Welcome, come and take a seat. Relax. LAW wanted me to interview a various mix of veterans, new wrestlers and all sorts of people around the promotion that will have or already have an impact on the womens wrestling scene. You were one of the first names that came to mind and today is really informal. Just two buff, powerful ladies chatting it up over some wine." Alaina said as she led Arlise over to the lawn lounging chairs as well as the wine.

Alaina let Arlise take it all in for a second and sat down sipping her wine once more. "I will ask you some questions and all but if you have any questions for me now or at any point you can ask away. Two ladies chatting, having a good time gives everyone a better inside look at what makes us tick ya know?" Alaina said as she looked over at Arlise who as always looked downright stunning.

In part Alaina had her #StrongIsSexy social media thing going, and Arlise epitomized that. Sure she was drop dead gorgeous but the woman was about 140 or 145 pounds of female power. Alaina loved that about her.

Alaina certainly sounded on the friendly side and not at all like someone who had lured Arlise here to punish her. The redhead perked, straightening, at the greeting, and as she trotted closer, a smile - still a touch uncertain - formed on her red-painted lips. It faltered briefly, in favor of awe, when the woman who walked to meet her at nearly twice Arlise's age looked in her bikini like what Arlise imagined the goddess Bellona might look like in person. And she wore Arlise's colors, red and black. How did anyone look that in shape at that age? For a brief moment, Arlise felt her own bikini under her cover-up as if it burned into her skin where all her small pockets of body fat formed - around her breasts, back, and waistline, mainly.

But she quickly got caught up in the greeting, taking Alaina's extended hand while her smile slowly returned. And the redhead remained smiling, courteously, all while Alaina spoke, but behind the smile and her sunglasses her mind raced to process what had led to what Alaina proposed. Of course, she understood the purpose - but again, Alaina had smeared the Belgian all over the ring during their only previous meeting. She... thought highly enough of Arlise to have her on her mind when trying to find strong and sexy women to bring in for interviews? Surely, the amazon could spend her time more on veteran wrestlers who had actually made their mark in the ring.

That Arlise had been on her list was both flattering... and intimidating. Lise blinked repeatedly behind her sunglasses, trying to settle on how she felt about it all but failing miserably in that endeavor. "Ah... right. That sounds good to me," she finally replied back, unable to look squarely at Alaina - partially because she looked so unnervingly good at her age in a bikini and partially because Lise felt embarrassment to have so little to say.

Instead, she looked at the seats and wine, hoping the latter helped her to loosen up a bit. In fact, the Belgian wanted to urge them along to that point, where they started drinking.

But... she would probably need to actually strip to her bikini to get to that point. Keeping her back turned to Alaina, Lise squeezed her eyes shut, trying to overcome her touch of self-consciousness. She wondered if Alaina had not picked those colors intentionally - and she did not know how she felt about that notion, either.

After a gathering breath... Arlise pulled off her cover-up, revealing her bikini. That she had only spent three hours picking out fresh from the store.

Alaina let out a whistle as Arlise showed her swimwear for the day. "Wooo! Damn you are looking good! I bet you turn a few dozen heads at the beach each time ya go huh?" Alaina said as she picked up the wine bottles. "Okay ya like merlot or riesling more?" Alaina asked as she looked ready to pour a generous glass of each to Arlise.

After a moment the amazon would settle into her chair and look over at the younger red-haired beauty. "I know you hit the gym and take pride in your appearance as well as your power. Hell you slammed me around and put a hurting on me when we squared off leaving me with a lot of aches that lasted for quite some time. I know the crowd gets loud for you and your appearance turns heads wherever you go. What is it that you enjoy about stepping into the ring, and what motivates the Belgian beauty in front of me to have successfully combined captivating charisma, classic bikini body beauty and powerhouse muscle so well?" Alaina asked. Alaina also saw the dominant showing Arlise had against Sayako and spoke to a few people who were ringside working the cameras. Alaina did want to ask why Arlise was so rattled by trash talk like that, and deep down maybe that would help Alaina herself figure out why women like Sienna Smith got under her own skin so bad. That likely could be a talking point, and one where Alaina would shed light on her own struggles with her body image and age.

Naturally, the moment Lise would start to doubt... well, everything her mind could come up with to doubt, Alaina would shower her with praise. Of course, despite her reservations in the moment, the redhead did think the swimsuit looked smashing on her back in the store dressing room, and again when she tried it on before coming. But with so much doubt plaguing her already, it did her wonders to hear the compliment. "Mmm... a few," she replied, not sounding particularly convincing. "And I'll take the riesling, thank you."

As she watched Alaina drop back into lounging again, Lise cautiously did the same, still debating the stance she should take in this... interview? She supposed it amounted to an interview. Lise found it difficult to loosen in situations where formality seemed more merited. Worse, she still could not decide, in the slightest, what Alaina might think of her or where this line of questioning might go. Nonetheless, she settled in and took hold of her riesling, looking less relaxed than she probably ought, given the environment.

When Alaina began... Lise again felt glad she wore sunglasses with how much she blinked at the veteran from behind them. She did, however, stop mid-sip, which probably gave away her incredulity. Clearly, the Belgian and Alaina remembered their match differently. Maybe she had suffered a concussion recently? But knowing that whatever their differing opinions on the pace of their match mattered nothing for the question Alaina asked her, Arlise gathered her best arrangement of professional thoughts to answer.

"Well, I didn't have much to do with the first two," she began, not sure if that sounded cocky or humble. So she elaborated. "I look a lot like my mother, and she... got into shape in life." Now did not seem the time to mention family problems. "And it was easy for her, so I may have those same genes. And I act a lot like her, too. She taught me how to act with people, and it's nice to have people on your side. But as for the muscle... I wanted to be good. And as a curvy woman who can't leap or outrun much of anyone, I needed to be strong enough to make up for my inadequacies and try to keep up with the bigger ones."

Alaina nodded along as Arlise spoke, looking over at her as she let Arlise way what she had to. "I gotcha, and that is cool. I mean it makes sense and is why I wrestle the way I do, not to mention train the way I do." Alaina said as she sipped again taking in the sun. She was clearly super relaxed and wanted to make sure Arlise was going to settle in.

"So we all know I love my slams. When I started I just found it crazy empowering to be strong enough to lift a woman off her feet, scooping her up and having her held at my mercy. The added bonus of slamming them down to the mat hard and standing tall was just kinda like... I dunno. Empowering? I already said that though. I just feel really in charge between the ropes in a way I never felt in charge anywhere else if that makes sense." Alaina said offering up insight to herself instead of just asking a question. Maybe getting a conversation going on its own would help loosen up the gorgeous lady she was speaking to.

She supposed she did not sound like an idiot with what she shared - a good start. Fortunately, the Belgian would stay that way while still participating, since between the riesling and her own tolerance as a woman from a country squeezed between nations known for their alcohol, she did not have to worry about getting tipsy. Then again, she could always sound silly on her own... but Lise pushed those thoughts aside, taking another sip as Alaina spoke.

Lise voiced none of the thoughts on her mind about her opinion on Alaina's slamming people around, given her past experience with the veteran. Truth be told, of course Arlise respected Alaina - she amounted to the closest thing LAW would have to a legend - but she could not shake her perturbation about her clash with the older woman, how it had made her feel, and how it might have affected the way Alaina and the crowd viewed her. None of these thoughts she could address in this interview (that seemed a terrible idea), but they still worked at the back of Arlise's mind.

"I do like executing a good slam... but I mostly stick to the submissions. Again, when you're built like me, you learn early on to use what you have. And there's something about having an opponent overpowered with your figure that makes a woman feel powerful."

"You aren't kidding." Alaina said as she looked over at Arlise. So far Alaina was enjoying this setup and wondered how things would go if someone like Kat Hart was here. "Okay we will keep things simple, possibly anyway. What was it that made you wrestle? Were you a fan when you were younger with a favorite wrestler you followed? Were you drawn in later in life?" Alaina asked sipping on her wine again.

She looked over at Arlise knowing that she likely would need some time to answer this one. Most people did. Alaina was ready and happy to listen as she was genuinely curious about what made Arlise enter the squared circle.
