All gestures of civility had gone out the window now. Widow had poked and prodded at Astrid until the Norwegian finally snapped, and everyone could see now that this meeting could only end in either a promise for a future title match, or an all-out brawl! Astrid was hoping to keep it to the former, but if Widow kept things up, she didn't know how easily she could contain herself. Her eyelid twitched anxiously, and she crossed her arms as she stood back up from the table. Taking in a breath, she went to explain herself.

"You shouldn't be talking about honor when you're the one going the low road and insulting what I stand for. Personally, if my father were here now...I can tell you right now he'd be proud of me. Part of honor is being above such cheap tactics, but part of it is being ready to back yourself up when push comes to shove. You should be thankful I'm not one to deck you in the face right here and now..."

Eiji raised his hands, scooting back away from Widow even as she leaned closer to him. "I'm fine, really. I've been in this situation plenty of times before..." But this, of course, did little to defuse the tension!

Astrid stood where she was. As Widow approached her, she sucked in a breath, staring her down through narrowed eyes. Her shoulders pushed forward, getting in close to the veteran's face as they stood nose to nose, their chests mere inches away from pressing into one another. Widow might have been pushing her, but Astrid was resolved to not budge, and it showed in her body language - her back held straight, her eyes piercing. "I've seen that I can't sway you with my words," Astrid said. "So I'll have to prove myself in the ring!" Astrid pulled her belt over her shoulder, making it quite clear what she was willing to put on the line in a confrontation like this. "Next week, at the next show. Winner take all...if you'll keep to your word and show up, that is."

"Key word If your father was here... He not and If I ever saw your bull headed father again I would finish what I started before and this time break his neck." Thereisa coldly respond back to Astrid words about her father not caring if they sound harsh or brutal at this point their no friends only enemies and Astrid is on. Since she has what she wants and is willing to do anything to get it... even it means injuring a rising star as well to get her way she would.

Thereisa looking down at her younger future opponent her eyes not weaving or anything using her full height of 6'6 to look down at Astrid. "I should be thankful... You little fool You should be thankful I even showed up to this when I could have beaten you bloody backstage." taking her eyes off her opponent and is staring at the title the one thing she wants more in this world... to prove to everyone that she will reign again no matter who she faces she will defeat them leaving broken bodies in her wake.

Backing down a down laughing at hearing Astrid throw down the challenge for a title match, getting her way in the end at getting a title shot but quick as she can Thereisa leg shoots up for a Stardust Kick but stops it from connecting with Astrid head seeing if she will flinch or not. Smirking at the woman "You will lose when you fight me... and your career will end I took a lot of pride is seeing your father being taken out on a stretcher."

Astrid was a tall woman, but as the two wrestlers locked eyes, the Norwegian couldn't help but draw in a breath as her body tensed. With a full five inches on her side, Widow still managed to dwarf her - and coupled with her threats, it was quite clear that not only was Theresia fully prepared to hurt Astrid, she was well capable of it as well. Astrid thought back on the match that Widow had taunted her about before, where her father had nearly had his neck broken by the Frankensteiner. Thankfully, his neck muscles had protected him - but it was here, more than ever before, that Astrid realized how closely his path had brushed with a career-ending injury. An injury that Widow now had in mind for the champion herself.

Still, Astrid wouldn't let that hold her back. She was the champion, after all - and if she was worthy of holding her title, she couldn't back down from anything! She tightened her grasp around her belt and pushed herself forward, her chest thrust out toward Widow in a show of defiance.

But as defiant as Astrid tried to be, she couldn't anticipate what Widow would do next. Her body already tense, Astrid only needed the slightest of impulses for the coils to be sprung, and as she saw Widow's leg flying closer she darted back, her arms raising to block. Of course, Widow's leg hung there in the air, coming just short of its target. Realizing she'd been had, Astrid huffed. She might have been frustrated, but tricks like these only made her that much more determined to put the Cyber Widow in her place.

Straightening herself, Astrid glared down at Widow once again. "I can't say anything yet," she said, "but I do know one thing - that I won't hold back on you. For the sake of my family, for the sake of the belt, and for myself."

"For your sake... You better have no regrets Astrid. Next week I end your title reign and career" Thereisa replies to Astrid speech deciding to even mock the champion by holding her hand up to her forehead then holding it over Astrid. Wanting everyone watching this interview to know how hard of a fight the champion is going to be in.

Her eyes staring daggers at the younger woman her feint kick showed and proved that Astrid had been tricked, Thereisa would love to follow up with another move but she might be countered if she tries anything...but she has many more ways to get another sneak attack or dig in on her opponent before their match.

"Eiji did you say you wanted a photo of the champion and challenger together did you not?." taking a step backward for the reporter wanting to see what the champion will do and take the bait or not.

"Don't worry." Widow might have done everything she could to test Astrid's composure, even feinting a kick right at the champion's head, but it only made Astrid even more committed to standing tall and proud. She wouldn't yield to Widow, even when it was clear that the veteran was going to wage war on the psychological front before she had even engaged her physically. "I have no regrets at all. Certainly not for when I prove to you that you won't separate me from my title."

Then, as Widow raised the prospect of getting a picture of the two women, Eiji moved in closer, setting up a camera he had placed on the table. "Yeah, if you wouldn't mind...that's a great shot, with you two staring each other down. Just hold that. Astrid, turn a little to the side so we can see the belt..." Eiji got behind the camera, lining up his shot. Astrid followed his requests, but she hardly needed any prompting to lock her eyes on Widow, and as her teeth clenched, her fingers wrapped protectively around the belt she held.

Thereisa does as asked of her a smirk on her face while her eyes are not locked in on Astrid but the belt on her shoulder, but deciding to set another bait and trap by raising her hand up and smacking the title belt as if patting it. "Don't worry this will be coming home with me and then I retire afterwards."

Letting her goals be known on what she planning on doing after she wins, that confident in victory already that she is looking forward to hanging them up. "Are we done Eiji... Being around this little idiot is getting on my nerves and I wish to leave making me stand in front of a paper champion like this... Your lucky I consider you somewhat a decent reporter... but don't overstep yourself in front of me again.." Turning around ready to leave already after threatening the reporter just for fun.

Sure enough, as she watched Widow raise her hand again, Astrid went tense. While she was wising up to her tricks, and she didn't want to look weak in front of her in as pivotal a moment as this one, her muscles did pull tighter as she sucked in a breath through her clenched teeth. But when Theresia's hand swerved to the side to touch Astrid's belt rather than the champion herself, it didn't do much to soothe the tension in her body. Quite the opposite, in fact!

To Astrid, the fact that Widow would dare make a grab for her belt was galling enough. That she was already acting as though it was hers...that was almost too much to bear. Her eyes narrowed and she pulled the belt closer against herself, but she stopped just shy of striking out at Widow then and there. Astrid still held herself as a professional, and if she wanted to prove she would take the high ground over Widow, she couldn't resort to such outbursts. That would show she was no different than Widow herself. The time to prove herself the worthy champion would come soon, when they met in the ring.

After taking a few photos, Eiji stood up from the camera. "Yeah, that should do it-" However, as Widow continued to threaten him, he gulped and fell silent. Clearly, this was a woman on a mission, and one who wouldn't let him stand in her way! Even after she left the room, Eiji stood staring into the distance after her in stunned silence. But Astrid was close behind, and as she approached the table she met him with a nod.

"Don't worry," she said. "I'm not going to let her win any time soon...mark my words."
