"Tigress" Tina Armstrong vs. Kathleen Hendricks

Unread post by Highfly »

Match Type: Standard

Tina was backstage and already pacing the arena hallways, more than ready to put Kathleen in her place. She wanted to show her what it was like to wrestle a top lady without being able to pounce on her with a backstage attack prior. Fired up, excited, and full of vigor the tigress stalked through the halls heading out towards the arena itself. She wanted payback and she was going to get it tonight.

As her music began to play Tina came out and held her arms out taking in the loud cheers of the crowd before skipping her way down the ramp. All smiles the tigress high fived fans and kept up her pace towards the ring. Tina picked up some speed and slid into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Tina got to her feet and held her arms out again to take in the loud cheers as she did a confident strut around the ring, swaying her hips a bit as she did so.

After a moment Tina did settle in to her own corner eagerly awaiting her opponent. She couldn't wait to put this wannabe queen in her place tonight....

Once Tina was in the ring, it wasn't long until the Queen's music started to play after.

After it was revealed by Tina Armstrong and Cyber Widow of Kathleen's attack on Alaina, injuring her shoulder and weakening her for their match, the crowd harbored a particular disdain for her. Awe turned to disgust, and that disgust was shown with heavy boos being thrown her way, as the middleweight walked out onto the ramp. Dressed in her typical black singlet, piercing eyes swiveled along the fans who treated her with such a negative reaction. Boos, jeers and thumbs downs were given to her, yet she paid them no mind, cracking her wrists before holding her arms out, as though to bask in the reception.

Her muscle, Jack, would be missing from her side. If everyone was so insistent that she couldn't win on her own, she'd prove them wrong. She had already defeated Yuki Megumi in a bout of (mostly)fairness, and after two more matches with heavyweights, Alaina and Thereisa, she was to finally match-up against someone in her own weight class. If the dominance she portrayed prior was considered impressive, just imagine what she could do against a woman far lighter and shorter.

Making her way down the ramp, Kathleen walked up the steps and slowly entered herself into the ring through the middle rope. This was an ultimate match-up in good vs. bad, face vs. heel as the internet fans would say, and the Queen relished in the opportunity to break another one of the fans' top wrestlers.

*DING DING* The bell sounded, and the match was officially under way.

Tina grinned ear to ear. She wanted to smash Kathleen but was going to be smart about it. The tigress circled as the bell rang her hands up to grapple although Tina had no intention of grappling. The tigress stepped forward and swung a leg up, spinning as she looked to open things up by aiming a spinning roundhouse kick right at the face of Kathleen to open things up by letting Kathleen know that the tigress wasn't just strong and lean, but fast as well as accurate.

Kathleen had a light scowl on her face as the bell rang, as though she was disgusted by Tina's presence, about being in this match and facing off against her. There was no love, friendship or even respect between these two, and it showed in the Queen's expression. Circling as well, her arms were raised in a grappler's position, and soon, she approached in as to initiate it. While she didn't plan on being technical with the former Lightweight champion, she merely wanted to get in close and bash her across the face with an elbow.

But Tina wasn't being earnest in her approach for the grapple either, her body near blurred in her speed of spinning around, and the Queen realized too late she was going for a roundhouse.

"GAH!" She cried, that boot nailing her square in the face, instantly turning her legs wobbly and her eyes unfocused. That was quite the powerful strike to start a match with, and it rocked Kathleen good. Still, she had just enough mind to let her spaghetti legs guide her backwards, all the way to the ropes where she half-fell through them to get to the apron, and with a stumble forward, onto the floor outside. If she allowed the Tigress to follow through on that strike, it may have been curtains for her already, and now, the heel was resting up against one of the barriers separating the crowd from them. Recovering from a kick like that wasn't going to be easy, but getting some time to recover and get her vision unblurred would help in getting her back into the match, so early on.

Tina connected and watched Kathleen stumble her way right out of the ring! Tina smiled and pumped a fist in the air before she shook her head. "Where do you think you are going?!" Tina shouted before running towards the ropes. She wasn't as measured as Alaina, her hot temper often getting the best of her. She was going for a high risk, high reward move here hoping to really get the best of Kathleen right away!

Tina vaulted over the top rope looking to crash into Kathleen on the outside crushing her between a flying tigress and the barricade behind her. Tina wasn't going to just sit back and let Kathleen skulk about recovering, and this was the most direct way she could think of to get back to fighting Kathleen even if there was the potential to absolutely crash and burn.

Kathleen was hurt early on in the match, that kick having rocked her and near cracked her nose on impact, and now she had to catch her breath and try to get her vision back as she rested on the outside. She figured she wouldn't have much time to do this, so she savored it with quick, deep breaths and a few shakes of her head, before the sound of the ring shaking rung in her ears.

Glancing upward, the Queen could just see the image of Tina leaping over the top rope, doubled because of her blurred vision, and she panicked. Using her grip on the barricade, she tried to dodge the incoming missile that'd surely crush her, hoping her movements were quick enough in this dazed state, and reverse that aerial attack against the Tigress. If not, then she may be in some danger...

Tina knew she took chances that many others would not take. It is part of what made her the wrestler she was. However as she flew through the air and Kathleen moved at the last second the error of her ways would not fully register until Tina crashed into.... and through... the barricade on the outside!

"AAARRRRGGHHHHH!" the tigress howled out as the cost of her miscue became apparent. She was down and in a lot of pain, her gamble to absolutely crush Kathleen outright not paying off as she had hoped. It was now Tina left laid out and writhing in agony at the start of the match...

Kathleen's vision was still blurred, so she could only hope that she dodged in the right direction. But even in her dazed state, the sound of the barricade breaking and Tina's cry of agony was unmistakable. Turning her head, she could see the Tigress was left in a very dire state, the barricade between them and the crowd broken, and security having to make sure that any fans didn't come through. Though the Queen wasn't even thinking of that.

Still a bit wobbly, she still had enough mind to grab onto the hair of Tina and yank on it. "Stupid bitch..." She huffed, dragging the former champion upward back up onto her feet, just to run forward and toss her forward, to smash into a non-broken part of the hard, padded gate. Meanwhile, the referee, in shock, just began her count.

"1!"

Tina was too hurt and too stunned to resist anything Kathleen was doing at the moment. She groaned as she was hauled up, her legs limp and wobbly as she was hurtled forward, crashing hard into the still standing section of the barricade near her old point of impact from the failed vaulting body press!

"AUGH!" Tina groaned as she crashed and then slumped back to the floor in a heap, her arms cradling her body again as she kicked the ground in agony.

Kathleen was going to make Tina pay for trying that, for doing something so reckless against her. First by slamming her hard against the barricade, making it buckle and creak by the force of that slam, before yanking on the hair of the Tigress once more to pick her back up. Wrapping her arms around her waist, the Queen then charging forward, to try and slam her spine against one of the metal ringposts along the corners of the ring.

And if that was successful, Kathleen would begin to drag Tina over to the nearby announce table, barking at the announcers to move out of the way, before attempting to slam her opponent's face down onto the table. She was seeking not just to beat Tina, but to destroy her, and make sure that the former champion could no longer stand up to her, on her path to the top spot in LAW.
