"Huh... this'll be interesting at least." Himeko's eyes rose as she glanced over her tablet, looking into her opponent this time around. She wasn't against a wrestler, but a fellow martial artist. Okay, a full fledged specifically using their art in the ring, Hikari didn't really count in that direction, not fully anyway. There were a few martial artists in LAW from her research, and a number of wrestlers with a background in an art or two, but this would be Himeko first time in the ring with one. It was... interesting. She came to LAW mostly to figure out the deal with this company getting so many fighters. Maybe this would be an opponent that'd give her a decent answer. This would also be her first match against a middleweight.

This barely worried the Princess. Mismatches were common in her world of underground crime, street gang violence, and generally living in a violent world as a shorter woman, but in LAW she didn't seem them too often. For as ridiculous as this raunchy, rowdy, and racy league was it did tend to limit its comically imbalanced fights. Then again, most of her larger opponents in the past were idiots that only knew how to charge forward and swing their fists like wild animals. This fight might actually require a braincell or two since it was against a supposed trained fighter.

"Alright, all finished Hime-san."

The attendant finished doing her hair and stepped back as Himeko checked it. Unlike her usual topknot, she designed to be a little more proper and have her hair in a ponytail. More akin to a shrine maiden with the longer wrap around her hair. Her attire was still her battle kimono, but...

Well, her theme was playing, it was time to move. "I'm going."

She walked out to the ramp and moved down it with little fanfare, walking at a brisk pace. The crowd was in an excited and edged mood, but the princess paid it little mind as she made her way down, an attendant following behind. Though just as she reached the edge of the ring, she took off her kimono, revealing a short-sleeve shirt and shorts underneath. Her last few matches showed her the damn thing would only get in the way during a fight. Plus, she could show of her family's gym and dojo sponsorships better this way. There was a small pop from the crowd at the reveal, but the Princess only rolled her eyes, handing her kimono to the attendant before climbing into the ring and moving to her corner. And there she waited, her mind contemplating the match ahead and what kind of fighter she'd be facing.

After a full stretching and warming up session at the backstage. Rei was not even a bit tired and she was full of adrenaline, this was her second match at this company yet she was still getting really excited and nervous before the match, this situation was probably going to last for few more matches but she was not complaning, getting excited like this, feeling that she is alive was making Rei really happy. Altough today was different than her first match, this time her opponent was a fellow martial artist and judoka. They were both judokas, having a pro wrestling match in a pro wrestling company. This was a weird but the match itself was going to be a judo match with few strikes mixed in, which made Rei more excited than the first time.

After taking a quick shower, getting rid off all the sweat she produced during the stretching, she quickly gets changed, wearing her favorite judogi, tying it with her purple belt, taping her ankles and she was done, going for a traditional judo look unlike her first time. After dressing up and getting ready, she heard her name that is announced by the announcer, quickly slipped her feet to her slippers and started to walk up to the ring.

Greeting the crowd that is cheering Rei a bit, after that she basically rushes into the ring, quickly jumping to the apron, throwing her slippers into the crowd, getting rid of them and revealing her pretty barefeet. Then slipping from the ropes and entering the ring, reaching out to her toes, doing even more stretching since she gotta be ready and flexible for some grappling action

After a bit of waiting her opponent finally arrived onto the scene, and immediately Himeko's eyes narrowed as she got a good look at her. Namely, the belt around her waste. A purple belt. That would certainly explain why Himeko didn't have as much info on her as many other fighters. She was still new to fighting. "Tch," Damn waste of my time. She scowled, watching the woman enter the ring.

This one had a rather bubbly expression compared to the other fights Himeko had faced. Not regal or stoic as Hikari, not as cocky and mouthy like Akari. Like those fresh-faced newbies at their first tournament, happy to just be here and taking in the atmosphere as they warmed up. And it had the Princess in a mix of nostalgia and annoyance. Whatever... She thought, rolling her shoulders. I'll take her down regardless.

It was clear height and weight would be the key factor to get over. Newbie fighter aside this was still a taller opponent with a better reach than Himeko. It shouldn't be much of a struggle, but still something to look out for.

Rei watched her opponent carefully while waiting for referee to start the match. She was looking real strong and dangerous kind of fighter, there was a size difference but Rei was feeling that she should be really careful no matter what, this was going to be real serious match for her, not planning to underestimating Himeko whatsoever.

Thoughts were wandering around her mind until she heard the referee starting the match, the match was on and with that Rei quickly dropped down to her butt, lying on her back, raising her legs, her bare soles facing Himeko. She decided to start the match from the ground like this so her experienced judoka opponent can't use the advantage to throw Rei into the ground.

"... ... ..." Himeko paused, eyes raised at Rei's sudden drop. The crowd was confused as well, murmuring to themselves. The folks in the cheap seat might be confused, but Himeko knew immediate what was happening. That drop made it clear, Rei was set on turning this into a grappling match. As if this was a match of testing skill and technique. "... ..." And Himeko slowly walked toward the taller woman. No stance, no guard up, as if taking a casual stroll.

Then, she stopped just short of the girl's heels, hand on hip, eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"Get up, idiot." She spat out. "Anyone else would just go on the ropes and stomp the shit out of your liver. This ain't some judo camp spar we're having." To make her point, she pivoted on her heel, sending a sharp kick aimed for Rei's raised thighs as punishment.

Rei get more excited with each second her opponent coming into her with an annoyed face, greeting her annoyed look with a smiling face, still keeping her position at the ground even Himeko was standing in front of her heels.

"I am a grappler Himeko, that's what i am. I am not getting up."

Rei would grunt a bit with a kick that connected with her thigh but she took dozens of that over time and could resist for sure. After the kick Rei wanted to move quickly and before Himeko could pull her leg back, Rei would wrap her arm around Himeko's ankle, then she would roll herself in the ground so her legs can sneak and reach behind Himeko's leg, once she get there Rei will wrap her legs around Himeko's, her ankles crossed and locked at her hips. If Rei can get this quickly, she would push Himeko from her leg and trapped ankle to make her crash face first into the canvas with Rei staying at the ground on Himeko's leg, trapping it between her legs to set up for a possible foot submission.

The kick connected, obviously enough, but... what happened next was a real surprise.

Practically springing to life, Rei latched onto Himeko's leg with shocking speed. "!!!" Himeko's eyes widened in surprise, her body twisting and feet losing their footing as the judoka rolled and forced Himeko to the ground, slamming down on her stomach with Rei's legs starting to coil around Himeko's grabbed leg. "Grh!" The Princess grimaced, gritting her teeth as she was caught in the trap. Purple belt Rei may be, but her fundamentals were damn solid. Annoyingly so. "Tch,"

But that was fine. Rei wanted a ground fight, and Himeko was more than equipped to give her one, bad position or not. And the first step would be trying to get out of this. Himeko still had a leg free, and with Rei so focused her grabbed leg she started kicking her free one to get herself on her back and in a better position to start prying Rei's ankles apart.

Rei managed to get Himeko on the ground, it was obviously hard for her to keep the Judo Princess in this position for too long, so her main goal was to attack as much as she can before Himeko escapes.

"As a Judoka, you must be a bit weak against leg and foot submissions, right?"

Rei said before grabbing the Himeko's foot that was already in front of her, under her trapped leg. She would place one of her hands to her ankle and the other one grabbing all the toes, bending them in opposite ways to make her feel a good amount of pain, locking a toe hold or better known as ankle lock in pro wrestling.

In the meantime, Rei was trying to keep her ankles tight, and for Himeko to not turn herself over, she was giving all of her weight to the ground, trying to pin the girl but her other leg was still free, but the pain on her foot could delay the attempt for a bit.

"Grh!" Himeko winced, the jolt of pain through her leg halting her movements for a moment as she gritted her teeth to prevent any further groans coming out. Rei took full advantage of their position and forced Himeko to endure a painful ankle lock, bending back her toes and foot to force the Princess's momentum. She was nearly on the side before Rei had her tipping back in pain.

"Hgh..." She bared her teeth, shooting a glare in Rei's direction. "I would be..." She groaned out. "If I was just a Judoka." Admittedly, while judo was one of her preferred fighting styles, it was also a style that didn't involve much in terms of agility and active leg movement. And going for the legs was a good strategy in most cases with most fighters. Taking out someone's ability to stand steady was a smart move, especially if they had weak legs.

But Himeko studied more than Judo.

And as Himeko started to counter Rei's weight with her own, twisting her body to the pull herself up to a steadier position and continue prying open the purple belt's ankles, her opponent would learn that Himeko's legs and arms weren't only that of a grappling judoka, they were the steady and solid legs and arms of a kickboxer that knew how to strike as well as grapple.
