Alright Videl, it's go time. Videl Satan was currently backstage, hyping herself up for second match in LAW in the moments before her name was to be called. She had suffered a bad defeat in her debut at the hands of Sumire Yoshizawa, who concussed her with a slam before humiliating her with submission holds until she surrendered. She would not get embarrassed again, she would win.
Standing in her way would be Nemuri Kayama, the lady known as Midnight. Not only was she a submission specialist, the same type of fighter as Sumire, but she was a heavyweight listed at roughly 70 pounds heavier than herself. Videl didn't mind in the slightest. In fact, she welcomed the challenge with open arms. Here she would prove that her debut was a nasty fluke to be forgotten, nothing more than an unlucky blow to the head that robbed her of her ability to fight properly. This would be her true start.
IN THIS CORNER, COMING IN AT 5'2" AND 103 POUNDS WITH A RECORD OF 0 WINS AND 1 LOSS... VIDEL SATAN! SpoilerSpoiler
The announcers voice along with her music boomed throughout the arena, Videl's cue to go, and go she did. She sprinted down the ramp towards the stage and leaped onto the edge of the ring before grabbing onto the ropes and flipping over them into the ring. All that was left now was to wait for her opponent, then kick her ass.
Time for the show~ Nemuri told herself as she prepared her attire for the match tonight. Nemuri was paired against the daughter of the one and only Hercule Satan. Nemuri must've been showing her age since Videl could easily pose as her own child. Yet here she was preparing for a wrestling match against her.
Videl may have lost the physical battle against Nemuri, being well over 80 pounds heavier than her, as well as the height difference. Not only that their compatibility favored Nemuri, since Videl had already lost to one submission specialist. Yet still Videl persisted, Nemuri could tell as such upon hearing the music playing. The thought of fighting the new generation and being able to fold teach them, was making her spine shiver in excitement. Putting the final touches of her attire, Nemuri was ready to show out.
She would get that chance shortly after Nemuri was set to make her entrance.
Spoiler
IN THE OPPOSITE CORNER WEIGHING IN AT 187 POUNDS AND STANDING AT 5'9 WE HAVE THE ONE AND ONLY MS.MIDNIGHT
Ms.MIdnight herself would come from backstage in her main attire, riding crop and all. Strutting down the ramp she would swing the riding crop side to side. Moving along with her body as it did the same motions. Fans all over the arena were clamoring for a chance to interact with Ms.MIdnight. Not many were given the opportunity as she wished to make this short and sweet. Taking the steps to the ring, Ms.MIdnight would give a wave before going through the ropes.
Upon entering the ring she would have to forego her riding crop, due to the match type. Now electing to give one final spread of her arms, as if to hug the audience. Receiving a wonderful response from the fans. Now with the entrance being done Ms.MIdnight, would turn to her opponent. Smiling at Videl. So you are Satan-San's daughter, it is a pleasure to meet you hereSpoiler
"Heh, the one and only! It's a pleasure to meet you as well!" Videl made sure she treated her opponent with respect, but it was clear in her body language that she was itching for the bell to ring. She wanted to go, she wanted to come out and swing, she wanted to drop Midnight to the ground and forget that her debut ever happened. She was already bouncing with her fists raised, her eyes shifting back and forth between the bell ringer and her opponent.
As impatient as Videl was, she was also self aware. She knew how she looked and felt and figured that Midnight would be looking for a headfirst rush from Videl once the bell rung. Videl decided that she would play into that, she would charge Midnight with a battle cry and her fist pulled back, only to stop short just out of range. She was looking to bait out a response from her opponent, something that Videl could react to and punish with the true start of her hyper-aggressive assault.
Ms.Midnight was ecstatic to say the least in regards to Videl. The fire in her eyes, the confidence in her voice and the respect she showed. All great signs in such a young wrestler. Trying to contain her excitement as the match was soon to start. Ms.Midnight see the same in Videl, as if something inside was revving her up like an engine. Noticing this, Ms.Midnight would take to her strengths as she felt that Videl would jump out at her to start the match.
The bell rang meaning that the match was underway, and that Ms.Midnight was right in her prediction. She was coming in fast, likely wanting to take this match into blows. Though showing her expertise and experience she did not fall for Videl's simple bait and switch tactic. Instead electing to srand her own ground. How adorable~ You plan to use mind games on me~ Ms.Midnight said complimenting Videl but could be taken backhanded.
Videl charged in, set the trap, and Midnight did not take the bait. With the two women at a close range stand still, Videl decided she would respond to her foe's quip. "Well if you were expecting someone who'd charge headlong into a heavyweight, I could direct you to some jobbers in this division who wouldn't find the issue with that strategy."
Having stood her ground mentally as Midnight had stood her ground physically, Videl decided now was the time to attack for real. Even if her opening tactic didn't grant her the opening she wanted, it still brought her within striking distance. She would fire out kick as quick as she could at the bottom of Midnight's shin in an attempt to weaken her base. Then she would string the low kick into another quick kick at Midnight's stomach to unbalance her further.
Videl's strategy was to try and use her speedy attacks to overwhelm her opponent and pressure her into leaving an opening for her to target with her more powerful strikes. If Videl could find an opportunity from her initial prodding, she would take it. If not, she would carry on with her fast pressure. It all depended on how Midnight handled the first two kicks coming her way.
Ms.Midnight had been in many matches, so outwitting her would have to come from someone with more experience than her. Catching on to Videl's plan, Ms.Midnight was eager to see what Videl would do next. At least you have some backbone Ms.Midnight shot back somewhat complimenting Videl's confidence.
Continuing to wait for the younger wrestler to start her offense. Ms.Midnight would not have to wait much longer for Videl to come at her. Firing out a kick to Ms.Midnight shin. Instinctevely, she raised her leg to check the shin kick. Possibly causing some recoil in the process. One thing that would be proven very early is Videl's overwhelming speed. Ms.Midnight was unable to guard against the stomach kick. Guh Videl's foot made contact on Ms.Midnight causing her to somewhat double over.
The first hit of Videl's two hit attack was blocked by Midnight's shin check. She tried to knock the smaller fighter off balance with it but Videl's stance stood firm. Her second attack hit its mark, forcing a gasp out of Midnight and forcing her upper half to lean forward. This was the exact opening Videl was hoping for, and she knew that with an opportunity as good as this, she had to deal big damage to her heavyweight foe. And Videl knew exactly how she was going to get it.
Videl had a new move which she had been practicing. It was a combination of two of her other signature moves, her Rising Eagle and Frankensteiner, which she called the Rising Frankensteiner. First, Videl would grab onto Midnight's shoulders as she leaped up with her Rising Eagle (a jumping knee strike) aimed at the same spot on her stomach that the kick hit. Then Videl would use her momentum to climb up Midnight's body until she was sitting on her shoulders, with her legs wrapped around her head and her crotch in her face. Then Videl would throw herself backwards, down toward the mat dragging Midnight with her. When she got close enough to the mat, Videl would catch herself with her hands and flip Midnight over, slamming her head first down onto the mat.
Even if it worked to perfection, Videl didn't expect this to effectively one shot Midnight. But just in case it did, Videl would follow this by quickly sitting up and going for the pin. Rising EagleFrankensteiner
Ms.Midnight had been doubled over somewhat by Videl's swift strike to her stomach. The speed difference not only showing in their movements but attacks as well. Ms.Midnight was unable to dodge the kick instead taking the brunt of it. This allowed for Videl to continue her combo move. Grabbing onto Ms.Midnight shoulders Videl would send her Rising Eagle move to the same area as before. Oof Ms.Midnight grunted in pain from the knee now fully doubled over.
What followed was a move she was not expected, Videl would leap onto Ms.Midnight shoulders. Throwing herself backwards and slamming Ms.Midnight onto the canvas for a Frankensteiner. Groaning in pain from the combo, Ms.Midnight could do very little about what followed next being dazed. Videl looked to go for a quick pin attempt looking to put the match away already.
Snapping Ms.Midnight out of her dazed state was the referee counting her out. Just upon hearing the one count, Ms.Midnight mustered all the strength she could to throw Videl off of her. This creating the space she needed to recover from Videl's combo. Ms.Midnight was currently holding her head as she used the ropes to assist her in standing again.
As Videl expected, her Rising Frankensteiner did not put Midnight down in one hit, as she broke the pin by throwing Videl off and then made her way towards the ropes to climb back to her feet. Videl herself was back on her feet very quickly, and was already up and ready for more when Midnight was still reaching for the ropes.
Wanting to press her advantage, and seeing the potential for a knockout win, Videl charged Midnight, trying to attack again before she could properly stand back up. She would strike at her heavyweight foe's head with a powerful roundhouse kick. If it connected, it would knock Midnight back down, and Videl would try to jump on her and ground and pound her head until Midnight or the ref made her stop.
Ms.Midnight was not in the greatest position in the match. Videl had just hit a wonderful move on Ms.Midnight. So much so she needed to use the ropes as a means to stand herself back up. While Ms.Midnight was more focused on recovering Videl smelled blood in the water. Making the mad dash to her opponent and looking to land a nasty roundhouse kick to her head.
Luckily for Ms.Midnight she was already in a low position thanks to her slow climbing of the ropes. This allowed her to dodge the roundhouse kick by dropping down again. Dodging this move would have Videl's body follow through the momentum of her kick. Now with her back facing Ms.Midnight, she would strike quickly. Aiming to grab onto the lightweight's waists, raising her up into the air and dropping Videl on her knee crotch first.
