Gato would slowly walk through the backstage area to the entrance. She would swing her arm around a bit getting ready for another great match with another great fighter. She knows that her opponent was one weight division under her but she didn´t really care about this, she just heard the best about the girl from Japan called Asuka. She was fast and could do some damn good flying maneuvers. That should be a interesting match for the Mexican woman. The masked wrestler would stop right before the entrance area and started jumping up and down before her music finally hit.

Ready for this

Then she would step out into the open and stand there on top of the ram for a moment looking around with a smile. She would slowly lift her arm up and put them into a pose to flex her biceps showing off a bit while right behind her the Mexican flag was opened and hung down from the ceiling. Gato would stay there moment longer before slowly starting to walk down the ramp giving high fives to the fans. When she reached the ring she would roll in under the bottom rope before jumping back up to her feet. She would turn around waving everyone a bit before getting ready for the match.

Asuka stood backstage in the locker room, tapping her foot along to the sound of Gato's entrance music that seemed to vibrate through the walls and was audible even over the deafening roar of the audience. Tonight was an interesting match in Asuka's career, where she was set to fight someone outside of her weightclass in 1v1. She'd fought bigger opponents before, like Alaina & Tina's tag-team, but then she'd had her middleweight coach there to back her up if she needed a quick break. And she'd still lost that fight, which probably wasn't a good sign.

Just as Gato's entrance was about to finish, a knock at the door let her know it was time for her to head out. She left the locker room and headed up to the top of the ramp, waiting there for her own music to hit, a smile on her face. When it did, she bounced out into the light to another thunderous, floor-shaking roar from the audience. She couldn't help but giggle and turn bright red at the sight of the completely filled arena, and made her way down the ramp.

When she got to the ring, she slid in under the bottom rope in a pretty typical way, and went to measure up against Gato. The Mexican woman looked heart-meltingly cute, even though her big, heavy, muscular build was a little worrying to Asuka. She wore a leotard coloured in the Mexican flag, long gloves, thigh-high socks, and a full-face mask with cat ears. Asuka bounced excitedly in place at the sight and giggled.

"Kon'nichiwa!"

Gato would look down to her small opponent. She knows that this woman was in the so called light division of law… and she also know that Japanese people were supposed to be a bit smaller build. But In this match the masked cat needed to watch her stop or she could step right onto her opponent. The Mexican woman would think for a short moment before she was ripped right out of her thought from the greeting of her opponent. She would look down to her for a moment. She would like to greed back in a friendly way just as her… but she couldn´t. Gato needed to hurry up and find a way to reply to not look rude.

The Mexican woman would put her arms flat to her side before starting to bow forward right in front of her opponent. Gato would try to bow as deep as she could, hopping that his would be enough of a greeting. When the bigger woman was slowly standing back up she looked right at her opponent to see her reaction to this. After she was done Gato would slowly raise her hands up to her mouth and from a X with her fingers right in front of her mouth, hopping being able to show Asuka that she couldn´t speak. After showing this she would try to bow again to apologies for that.

Asuka giggled again at the cat-girl's bow, and did her best to mimic it. She wasn't used to having people bow to her, but it was certainly something she could get used to with time. The big woman made a strange motion at her lips, which gave Asuka a curious expression, but a second later she realised what the middleweight meant and almost hit herself. Of course she was a mute! Why else would she be so quiet? Asuka nodded and smiled to her.

On the one hand, fighting a mute could be a little more relaxing than fighting someone talkative and loud. Asuka didn't particularly like the sound of an opponent screaming in pain (Exceptions being made for the one-off cases where the victim deserved it), and Gato obviously couldn't. On the other hand, fighting someone who made absolutely no noise when she was in pain was sort of unnerving. She moved back into her corner to wait on the bell.

Gato would wait in her corner as well only for the ringing of the bell. She wasn't really sure how to start this match off. Normally she would go for a look up first, maybe a test of strength. But against asuka she couldn't do it. On the one hand it would look a bit disrespectful to challenge a much smaller competitor to a test of strength when she would lose it obviously. Gato couldn't be sure that her opponent would look up with her in the first place... maybe she would use her quickness to outspeed the Mexican woman and hitting a good move on her.

So as soon as the bell would ring the cat would try to get out of her corner jumping with long steps right towards the other woman to reach out and trying to grab her directly. Gato would try to get behind her and lock both of her arms around her waste as tight was possible to not let her get away so easily. Gato couldn't be sure that she would be fast enough to catch the Japanese girl, but if she would be she would start to throw her from side to side to make her dizzy and so slower!

Asuka came quickly out of her corner when the bell rang, and good thing that she did too. Gato came charging down at her in a powerful run, and swept her arms out to try and catch the girl around the waist. This was obviously something Asuka would want to avoid at any point in the match, especially in the first couple of seconds. Luckily, it wasn't too much of a problem for her to duck diagonally forwards and slip just under Gato's right arm.

Asuka kept moving once she had passed her opponent by, and ran for the ropes on the far side of the ring, springing up onto the middle one and kicking back to come dashing towards Gato at pretty high speed. When she got close, she leapt up into the air and tried to land on the woman's shoulders, then flip herself backwards to hit Gato with a hurricanrana!

Gato wasn´t able to catch her opponent. She was fast! Damn fast. Before the big woman realized it she slipped away behind her. Gato would give her best to turn around in time and grab her again but there she was gone already, she brought enough distance between the two fighters that the arms of the Mexican woman were way too short to grab her. Gato would try to step after her but when she was about to make her first step she would see that her opponent started to stumble for a moment. Gato would stop and watch this as her opponent would stumble first before falling forward. But instead of falling onto her face, like the Mexican woman expected she was able to roll away and take the moment on before jumping back to her feet. The Mexican woman was so surprise about this, that she wouldn´t start running anymore.

But luckily for her Asuka would come right back to her only a moment later. Gato would got a bit deeper in her stand getting ready for the closer coming light weight. Gato slowly raised her hands up, but they would shoot up higher when Asuka was launching herself into the air. Gato would instinctive reach out to grab the knees of her opponent and hold on to the as good as possible to catch the smaller girl in her flight. The Mexican woman needed to make one step back but she would be able to hold up herself and her opponent kneeing on her shoulder. Gato would smile under the mask for a moment, before she would press the small girl back into the air and away from her. Jugging on the impressive body control the small girl showed before, she shouldn´t have any problems landing on her feet like a cat! If Asuka would land on her feet the fans would start clapping loudly in respect for the power and agility both showed right away. Now both would stand in front of each other again, just the start all over again.

Asuka let out a gasp of fear when Gato's hands shot up and caught her at the knees. If the big woman was planning to slam her down or some such, it'd hurt like crazy. Gato gave a hard shove, and it sent Asuka flying backwards a short distance, but luckily the young blonde was able to twist herself in the air to land on her hands, dropped her legs down into a split, and slowly lowered herself down onto her shoulders, spreading her arms beside her head just to show off, making it look like she'd just been slammed by something huge. The position looked adorable, but was very dangerous. If Gato walked over and pushed Asuka's legs down, the match would be over in under a minute. If she didn't, Asuka would kick upwards and flip onto her feet, turning to face Gato with a smile on her face.

Gato would shake her head a bit when she saw how much the small girl was showing off after landing. If she wouldn´t be so nice she would jumped forward and would use this right for her advantage. But Gato would let her get back up to her feet completely before she would act again. The Mexican woman would jump forward, trying to close in the distance between herself and her opponent as soon as possible. And again her hands would shoot forward trying to grab her opponent shoulders. But this time it would only be a distraction, hopping to get Asuka to bow down and try to bypass her again. Because if the small Japanese fighter would try this once again, the Mexican fighter would try to pull her knee up and strike it right into the abs of Asuka to stop her right in her tracks.

When Gato charged towards her, Asuka began to retreat, backpedalling away towards the edge of the ring. Standing and fighting the buff Mexican woman wasn't really a great option for someone as slim and small as Asuka, she'd just end up getting crushed embarassingly quickly. If she was successful in avoiding Gato's knee strike, Asuka would take the risk and step back in quickly to throw a big right hook at Gato's jaw, hoping to stun the big lady or even knock her down.
