limb by limb- Zetta vs Naoto! (D)

*Riding high off of her recent win against Tigressa, The Phoenix Queen quietly shuffled her naked feet from side to side to try and limber herself up for the impending bout she was scheduled for tonight. Someone named Naoto, an unfamiliar competitor, had been tossed into the lion's den, and Zetta had no intentions on making this an easy debut for her. After taking the necessary time to slip into her unique ensemble, taping her knuckles and feet, and finally dawning her plague doctor mask she exited through the threshold and strolled down the hallway. She was offered a handful of high fives, which she nonchalantly responded to with a stoic return, feeling her confidence beginning to rise. As she stopped inches away from the opaque curtain, Zetta felt her hands begin to tremble just before her theme filled the arena.*

*Emerging from backstage, the audience vigorously applauded the taciturn firebird as she struck her signature pose, bolstering her self-confidence as she approached the outskirts of the vacant arena. It wouldn't be long before she hopped onto the ring apron, slamming the platforms of her feet down with a thunderous* "THUNK!" *Before slipping between the ropes. Eventually, her theme would come to its terminus, and Zetta's curiosity would get the better of her as she eagerly anticipated the appearance of her foe.*

Naoto Shirogane stood outside the arena, awaiting her time to make her entrance. Her opponents theme could faintly be heard as Naoto took a few deep breaths to calm herself, the blue haired girl was mere moments away from making her LAW debut and she was quite nervous. Was this how her friends had felt when they made their debut? As Zetta's theme began to fade Naoto shook her head from side to side, trying to get her head in the game. If she was nervous then it would affect her performance, and if she didn't perform well in her debut then it was going to reflect badly on her for her whole career. As her theme started to play Naoto would take one last deep breath before she came out to face the audience.

As she walked out onto the top of the ramp there would be some scattered applause here and there, but the reaction she gained was nothing compared to the cheers Zetta got. After all, Naoto was an unknown newcomer with no official wrestling background. Instead of cheering her they instead regarded her curiously; inspecting her appearance, her attire, and her body. The attention made Naoto feel slightly bashful, her cheeks reddening slightly and her eyes becoming slightly downcast. Thankfully their attention would soon be taken as someone else came to join, and the audience began to cheer at their arrival "Risette!!!"

The idol strolled out, bouncing along to Naoto's theme, and joined the blue haired girl at the top of the ramp. She posed alongside Naoto, urging Naoto to pose alongside her friend, even if it felt a little silly. She would then make her way down the ramp, followed closely by Rise "Making her way to the ring, accompanied by Risette, making her LAW debut; give it up for Naoto Shirogane!!"

Naoto climbed into the ring as Rise turned to stand by the ring apron instead. Naoto raised a fist into the air and smiled at the audience before she turned to face her opponent for the night; Zetta Quinn. Naoto had done her research on the woman, she knew that Zetta was fast and a skilled striker, so she knew to watch out for that. Cautiously, Naoto would walk over to Zetta, holding her hand out for a handshake "Hi, my name is Naoto Shirogane. Let's have a good match."

*while nonchalantly bouncing from foot to foot, Zetta would tilt her head slightly at this sudden turn of events- She had anticipated this to be a one on one affair, but it appeared as though Naoto decided to bring a cheerleader alongside with her. However, this little distraction wouldn't be enough for the Phoenix Queen to take into consideration- Her foe was to be Naoto, and if this strange entity were to get involved in any way, she would suffer the wrath of the shimmering sun. As they both approached the ring, Zetta soon realized that she was merely there to bolster her morale, something that the taciturn easterner approved of.*

*Strolling towards the center of the arena, Zetta rolled her wrists out before subsequently pressing the palms of her hands together, leaning slightly forward to bow before her adversary.* "Do not hesitate, for I shall be vicious~" *Assuming her traditional karate stance, Zetta circled her target before the bell finally rang, signaling for her to strike.*

"Ding ding ding!" *And as light as a feather, she would leap through the air, tearing the skies asunder with her sharp movement before attempting to bring the heel of her right foot across Naoto's face, setting the tone with a sharp roundhouse kick to start things off!*

As the two fighters met in the middle Naoto's attempt for a handshake was met instead with a respectful bow, not quite what the blue haired girl was expecting but she wouldn't complain. Naoto nodded seriously when Zetta warned her that she wouldn't hold back and started to circle her, Naoto herself keeping her distance and turning to keep Zetta in her line of sight. When the bell rang Zetta would immediately fly at Naoto and swing a roundhouse kick directly for her face. Naoto leaned back to avoid the kick by inches, she had half a mind to try and grab the leg to punish the attack but it swung by too fast for her to do so.

Instead, Naoto lashed out with a kick aimed for the leg that Zetta was standing on while the other was in the air for the kick, hoping to compromise the martial artists balance and get her to fall over.

*As her foot sliced through the air, Zetta watched the fear and trepidation in Naoto's eyes- It wasn't uncommon for rookies to become immediately intimidated by someone as lightning fast as her, and in an instant her leg would shatter whatever guard she had forged, or so she thought.*

"Nnhh!?" *Feeling an unusual sensation catch her by surprise, Zetta suddenly realized what had happened- This relatively unknown novice had stuffed her attempt at knocking her sideways, forcing the Phoenix Queen to sidestep to evade any further damage!*

After only barely avoiding Zetta's opening attack Naoto attempted to counter the move by kicking at her leg and knocking her off balance, but Zetta's stance was stronger than Naoto gave it credit for and even though her kick landed it did not compromise the martial artists balance. As Zetta sidestepped away Naoto would follow her and throw an elbow at her, hoping to catch her on the chin. The move wouldn't have too much power behind it, it wouldn't be anywhere near as strong as Zetta's strikes, its intention was only to stun her opponent so that Naoto might follow up with something a little more potent.

*As the evasive Zetta managed to narrowly avoid stumbling over her own, two feet it became brutally apparent that Naoto was eager to prove her worth within the ring, pursuing the Phoenix Queen with a staggering elbow strike to her mandible. However, she knew better than to remain sedentary against someone who clearly knew how to handle themselves in a fight, and managed to sidewind around the shot while simultaneously clasping the edge of Naoto's arm.*

"Hmhm~" *Escaped through her lips, forming a faint yet noticeable smirk as she yanked Naoto forward. The gears were whirring in her strategic mind, and within seconds she had concocted the perfect counterattack to punish her opponent with. Positioning herself parallel to her foe, Zetta yanked her forward while simultaneously extending her forearm out horizontally, smacking her throat with a lightning quick lariat!*

Naoto threw out an elbow strike intending for it to stun Zetta and leave her open for a move, but it seemed that Zetta was able to lessen the impact of the attack and take hold of Naoto's arm as a consolation prise. Naoto would be impressed if this didn't put her in such a precarious position. As Zetta positioned the two of them and tried to yank Naoto's throat into her extended arm the tomboy would duck underneath the attack. Then, using the momentum of Zetta's own attempt at an attack against her she would extend an arm to try and land a clothesline of her own. If she was successful she would wrap the extended arm around Zetta's neck and then snake a leg around one of Zetta's legs, if she was able to do that she would then lean forward while pulling back on the leg, hoping to make Zetta lose balance and fall to the mat. If she did so Naoto would fall down with her, landing on Zetta as they both hit the mat.

*The Phoenix Queen was confident that her impromptu lariat would be able to swing momentum back in her favor, but Naoto certainly wasn't making things easy for her in that regard. Seconds before she was about to connect, the astute rookie managed to simultaneously knock the taciturn easterner backwards, silently wrapping her leg around the base of her foot to knock her down!*

"Ggrrrh!" *As the pair toppled to the canvas in tandem, Zetta quickly tucked her knees inward to protect her midsection and force Naoto to bounce off of her shins.*

As Zetta attempted to knock Naoto down with a clothesline the tomboy swiftly ducked underneath it and countered with one of her own, which she then smoothly transitioned into a leg sweep. Everything was going well up until this point, but Zetta was not one to take a beating lying down and tucked her knees inwards so that when they landed Naoto would get hurt. As they hit the mat Naoto would crash against Zetta's knees "Ungh!" She bounced off of them and rolled to the side, climbing up to her feet while holding a hand to the area that hit her knees "You're pretty good." she muttered, not particularly expecting a response.

Naoto then started to walk forward with her arms raised hoping to lock up with Zetta. If she got what she wished she would try and force Zetta into a side headlock.
