Beware the Reaper's Graveyard- Maria vs Alyssa

To say Maria hit the ground running was truly underselling it. Within the span of a few weeks, the lucha legend had taken LAW by storm, dazzling audiences with her athletic skill and warrior spirit. The mask of the reaper had terrified opponent after opponent, letting the experienced veteran take advantage and cause damage to anyone who stood in her way. Looking to her right, the masked woman laid a hand on the coffin beside her, rolling it down to the ring as the announcer's voice boomed through the arena.

"The following contest....is a COFFIN MATCH! The only way to win, is to roll your opponent into the coffin, and slam the lid shut! Making her way to the ring, from Guadalajara Mexico, weighing in at 150 pounds, "Maria.......THE REAPER!!!!!!" called the announcer, as Maria threw aside her cloak in a dramatic flourish, cracking her neck and rolling into the ring. Her silver eyes practically glowing behind the skull mask, the only part of her face showing beside the coffee colored chin and lips revealed by the open section of the mask.

Alyssa wasn't exactly sure what this was, like...she understood the rules somewhat? She had to roll her opponent into a coffin or something? Did she have to pin them first? Cause them to submit? All of that was still not clear to the mostly MMA fighter. The Brutish Brawler would shake her head as she stood at the Gorilla Position, shaking her head a bit as she would then hear her music play out of the speakers.

The blonde would step out onto the ramp, it seemed that she was facing another middleweight wrestler this time around. Not that she wasn't starting to get used to it. After all, she had already faced off against like...two. It wasn't that different from facing a lightweight, except that her opponents had the weight advantage. She would shake her head a bit as she made her way down to the ring. Entering the squared circle as she would remove her red jacket and throw it over to the referee who soon handed it to the stage hands.

Leaving Alyssa in her white top and denim jeans shorts, along with those big black boots. She would place one hand on her hip as she stepped forward. " So what's this huh? I swear to god, there are way too many match types in this shit." Alyssa complained as she glared over at her opponent.

Maria laid a hand on the top rope, letting the smooth skin run over the cable as Alyssa made her way to the ring. A small smirk crossed over the luchadora's face when see saw it. The mix of confusion, apprehension....fear perhaps. She didn't revel in making her opponents scared. She just realized it was a tool worth utilizing, not unlike her more dramatic entrance and stoic ring attitude.

When Alyssa let out her incredulous remark, Maria tilted her masked face to the side, silver eyes shining under the material, "Well....it's very simple. I roll you into that casket, where you're going to take a little nap. Once the lid is slammed shut, I win."

Alyssa would look on as the masked woman started to speak, explaining things in a rather condescending manner. The blonde would shrug her shoulders and then click her tongue a bit. "Alright alright, so all I gotta do is throw your ass into the casket and you're done for." Alyssa spoke out, clearing things up for herself.

" Now, let's get this over with so I can get back to normal matches." Alyssa spoke out as she would raise her arms, bending her knees a little and getting into a prime fighting pose, readying up for the referee to ring the bell.

Maria's face did not change. No note of anger, nor irritation, nor pleasure ever crossed the visible parts of her face. Alyssa had confidence...perhaps too much. She didn't take these stakes seriously. Yes the conditions to win were as simple as rolling the opponent's body into the casket and slamming it shut, but that left the door open to endless possibilities. This was Maria's wheelhouse, hardened from years of hardcore matches in Mexico before.....

She flexed her leg, the brace snug tight and keeping it in shape. The ref had just finished checking them both for weapons, before calling for the bell. Three loud clangs rang out, with Maria exploding from the corner, looking to start off with an explosive spear!

Alyssa would roll her shoulders as she awaited the start of the match, she didn't like this stipulation and the attitude of her opponent was the kind that the blonde just didn't find any joy in. She would click her tongue a bit as she would wait for the bell. Though to her surprise it seemed as if her opponent didn't exactly have a whole lot of sportsmanship!

For the Brutish brawler who was more used to a fair start from the MMA world was taken by surprise as Maria came bursting out of her corner at full sprint, charging at Alyssa as she left the corner and rammed her shoulder into that midsection of the blonde's, taking her off of her feet and crashing onto her back against the canvas, coughing out.

Maria had sportsmanship. She wasn't revered in Mexico for nothing but her wardrobe. Her family and the legacy of the Reaper was paramount. Countless Casket Matches have marked the demise of the Reaper's enemies over generations of Lucha history, and this would be no different.

Having taken down Alyssa with a brutal spear to the gut, Maria rolled up to her feet, brushing her hair back as she looked down at her opponent. With a war cry, the Luchadora sprinted closer, before springing up and rotating backward to come crashing down with a smoothly executed Standing Shooting Star Press! Her body would come crashing down square against Alyssa's ribcage, no doubt crushing the air from her very lungs!

Taken by surprise by that spear, so far she had been more used to fair and honest starts but it seemed as if her opponent was in a hurry. As she took her down and left her bereft of air. Alyssa laid on her back, coughing out a bit as Maria seemed to start to set up for something else as she let out that way cry and then came running up towards her and then leaping into the air.

Alyssa took the impact as Maria crashed into her body, causing even more air to leave her lungs, as she would cough underneath the reaper, trying to gather back her lost air.

The impact did make Maria wince a bit, a hand coming to clutch at her side post impact with Alyssa. Gritting her teeth, and fighting past the pain, she made a grab for the blonde's chin, dragging her up and back onto her feet to continue her brutal punishment. This wasn't just about winning. It was sending a message to those who sought her career to be over. She had to prove that she could still be a fighting force worth dreading.

Clutching her opponent by her chin, she moved to shove Alyssa back before bringing her heel up to try and crack her upside the skull with a nasty looking high kick!!

Alyssa groaned as she laid underneath Maria whom soon enough start to guide her up towards her feet, wincing and complaining as she was being brought up towards her feet by the Reaper, before she was shoved back, stumbling a bit before she quickly righted herself...seeing that leg of her's come up into the air, Alyssa would act swiftly.

Looking to duck under that leg and let it sweep past over her head. Following which the Brutish Brawler would try and close the distance and try and throw a swift hook straight into the head of Maria, before she'd try and follow it up with a left hook straight into the chest of the older woman.
