Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
'It's kind of your thing...'
That is what they told Katherine Scarlett when she brought up concerns about her appearance, in hopes of getting a grant from the LAW to update her wrestling wardrobe. Drifter had been a nickname and nothing more simply because Kay had possessed no place of residence past spending the occasional night in a capsule hotel with what little fund she had left. Now they were marketing Kay on her own misfortunate situation. As such she wasn't able to buy those new sneakers she was longing for, instead when her music hit the PA system, she was still clad in the near rags she had been left with.
The crowd began to cheer when Drifter made her appearance however, making Drifter grit her teeth. The powers that be were certainly correct, Drifter was slowly rising up to become a well known name and a face the watching crowds could get behind. Mostly due to her heroic talents to take an astonishing amount of punishment and still have plenty of swing left in her when the onslaught was over... but now it seemed she was destined to remain a scruff for the benefits of the viewers. Drifter was wearing her usual clothes, one of the few sets she had to her name.. wearing a long coat and dark jeans that had seen better days. She had her rucksack over her shoulder, already living up to the Drifter moniker she had been hoping to shift by now.
Despite her mood she still gave the watching crowd what they wanted, tagging hands and high fiving those who offered as she made her way to the ring. In no time at all she had descended the ramp, approaching the corner where she slid her rucksack. She took off her coat, revealing a white sports bra top that covered only her chest, leaving the rest of her stunning upper body exposed, her figure a sight to behold and well fine tuned over years of training and survival. She kicked her worn out converse away, climbing into the ring bare foot, as she kept a checked shirt tucked into her jeans, making what almost looked like a waist cloak behind her.
Once in the ring after setting herself up and ready, she climbed a turnbuckle, raising her arms for the crowd who all began to cheer once more. She was nowhere near the likes of GASTER for reactions, but she was getting there. Drifter was still new on the scene and considered a rookie, even if she could handle herself in a fight. Jumping down and approaching the center of the ring, Drifter began to shadow box and hop a little on the spot, warming herself up. Soon enough, the music of her opponent began to dominate the PA system, and Drifter turned to watch her rival for the night start making their way down to the ring.

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Hana tugged at the tight bikini strings, making certain that every curve of her body was going to stay in place for her match, coming up. The redheaded bodybuilder could have picked a more sensible ring attire, and she knew that, but this was important to the bodybuilder. She wanted her opponents to see every bulging muscle, every oiled curve. Hana looked herself up and down, tensing her core a couple of times to see the definition in her abs.
It wasn’t that the former bodybuilder was vain, as much as she knew what her advantages were. She was a powerhouse. She was still a bit of a rookie when it came to grappling, having little more than her LAW matches in terms of experience in actual professional wrestling. With so many trained fighters on the roster, Hana had to exploit whatever advantages she could, if she was going to keep an edge and get on top of things. The road agent told Hana it was her turn to come out and face the crowd, and she nodded respectfully.
Hana’s music hit the loudspeakers as she emerged onto the entrance ramp. She eyed the crowd up and down, taking in their cheers. While not exactly taking LAW by storm, the bodybuilder had been building a following and she had earned some respect. And, at the end of the day, Hana suspected her skimpy, bright-yellow bikini didn’t hurt, either.
Hana stepped down the ramp, flexing and posing for the fans as she did so. She wanted to show them what she was bringing to the ring, and that she hadn’t been slacking off on her training. Reaching the ring steps, Hana stepped back and let a nearly-frantic young man squeeze her bulging bicep. Hana smiled, and the young man nearly melted. With that, Hana stepped up to the ring, wiped her bare feet on the apron, and stepped between the ropes.
Hana strode to the center of the ring and raised a fist to prompt another round of fan cheers. She grinned. While she did that, however, she eyed up her opponent for the evening. She could see the girl shadowboxing when she came up onto the ramp and knew that the girl was likely serious. Hana felt like she might have a serious weight advantage over the girl, and her strength would be an asset, here. Biting her lip, however, Hana realized that she ran the danger of hitting a very humiliating defeat, if she couldn’t match up to this smaller girl. Hana dropped her arms and went to the center of the ring. She extended a hand.
“Harada Hana,” she said, introducing herself. “I hope we can have a good contest. I know it won’t be easy for either of us, but I have to put you down!”

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Drifter's posture slumped somewhat when Harada Hana was finally introduced. The marvel of a woman walked down towards the ramp to her entrance theme, her body slightly oiled to reveal a form of pure muscle in every definition. She wore little to nothing, her modesty and chest coated by a yellow bikini outfit to allow the rest of her war goddess like figure remain exposed to the elements. Hana bore the features of a beautiful woman, but her body was simply intimidating, a she hulk who looked like she might actually be able to bend steel. Every single muscle on her body seemed to have a life of its own as she flexed and posed for the crowd, moving independently as she tensed various parts of her body.
Drifter felt a sense of dread that this woman was going to snap her in half in an instant. Given the strength of her body, the more slender Kay knew Harada could probably toss her around all day and not grow tired. Not wanting to reveal how intimidated she was by Hana's appearance, Drifter resumed her shadow boxing, warming herself up further as she kept one eye upon her opponent tonight. Soon enough Hana was in the centre of the ring, posing for the fans with a fist pump in the air. Before long her attention was on Kay herself.
Kay in all honestly knew little about Hana, but judging from the crowds reaction, hopefully she wasn't a bad egg. Any fears of Hana's personality traits soon subsided when Hana approached, kindly extending an arm for a handshake. She wished Kay well but was also firm, requesting a good match if nothing else. Kay managed a pleasant smile as she looked upon the powerhouse of a woman. Eagerly she took Hana's hand with her own and shared the handshake. Though seemingly more at ease, Drifter was still very intimidated, and the handshake brought no solace as Hana had a near crushing grip upon her limb. Given the lack of tension in Hana's arm, she wasn't even trying to cause harm, she just had one hell of a grip.
"I'm Katherine Scarlett. My friends call me Kay for short... though I seem to have picked up the name Drifter here in the LAW ring. I like the sound of a good contest, and I know what you've got to do... but just cause I'm lighter doesn't mean I'm easy to take down." Drifter mentioned, doing quite well to hide her nerves, managing to sound like she was actually confident.
"Whatever happens, lets make it a good one for the fans!" Kay added before she backed away to her corner... she bumped her own fists together, her knuckles clashing loudly with a thud, before she nodded to Hana, making sure she was ready.
Soon enough, the bell began to ring to signify the beginning of the match. Drifter took a stance sharply, her fists raised to guard her head akin to a boxer as she raised herself on her toes ever so slightly. She took her time, wanting to make sure Hana was ready for her... Given the brief conversation she seemed pleasant enough and Drifter looked to make the fight a clean one. Confident enough time had passed, she sprung forwards, looking to test Hana with a stiff strike towards her stomach, looking to back away straight after... a test for her reactions and her endurance.

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Hana measured her opponent carefully. Kay was more slender, maybe more purely athletic than Hana, which gave the bodybuilder pause. Hana knew that could be dangerous with the right fighter, but beyond that she knew nothing about the contest ahead of her. Hana simply nodded, sizing her opponent up, and tried to focus on her own ability and strategy for the coming bout.
Hana nodded respectfully to Kay’s greeting. “It will be an honor,” she said, acknowledging Kay’s words as she backed off to take her ready stance. The girl backed to her corner, bumping her fists and looking ready for a fight. Hana could only imagine what a quick striker an athlete like this girl must be. Eyes narrowing, a strategy began to form in Hana’s mind: she needed to slow this girl down, restrict her, make this her kind of fight.
The fans had greeted Hana with enthusiasm, which she appreciated, but in truth her pro wrestling career here in LAW hadn’t been a resounding success. The redheaded bodybuilder had her moments, to be sure, but there was more to wrestling than moments. And right now, Hana felt like she needed that elusive win.
Before Hana fully knew it, the Drifter was lunging forward with a hard strike. Prepping herself, Hana flexed her abs, tensing her muscular body as she braced for the blow. Hana would try to bring her arms down as well, looking to form a block to absorb some of that impact.
The strike echoed through the arena, Drifter’s trained hands smacking hard against toned, powerful flesh. Hana let a sharp exhale escape her nose, and her body gave a quick, almost imperceptible tremble. Hana shook her head, then took a step forward. Her leg quivered, betraying that the strike had done some harm, but Hana wouldn’t let herself back down. Extending her arms, Hana tried to follow the rapidly escaping Drifter, hoping she could close the distance and lock up with the girl!

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Drifter landed a few solid shots in against the powerful core of her wrestling opponent, but was alarmed to find Hana seemingly walk through the punches to close the distance. Fortunately that alarm passed when the damage began to show in Hana's body language when her arms came down on the defence to better deflect the oncoming strikes, meaning she couldn't keep taking the blows head. There was little time for relief however as Hana was still on the advance regardless of the shots against her well tuned body, and Drifter's lack of experience meant that Hana was actually able to somewhat corner the fellow rookie as she backed away a little too much.
Cursing mentally, Drifter looked to shift around Hana, but as her arms extended upwards there was little chance for movement or escape. Kay soon felt her back up against the turnbuckle, managing one or two more body blows before she looked to finish her combo with a sharp uppercut. Despite not wanting to strike Hana in the face, this was a competitive match, and she knew she could not go easy on her or it would cost her dearly given Hana's superior build and what no doubt would be a lot of strength that came with it. Regrettably Hana was upon her before she could get her combo ending strike, her powerful hands moving swiftly for a woman of her size to lock onto her shoulders in a tie up.
Kay had been hitting the mats a lot with Clara who was better known as GASTER in the ring, and she had learnt quite a few tricks of the trade already, knowing how to escape certain locks and holds... but that was against a fellow lightweight wrestler, and thus feeling the strength of a higher weight division grasp at her for a grappling lock up suddenly made her realise that she needed lessons on how to deal with someone who could toss you out of the ring or fold you in half in a moment's notice. Instinctively Drifter shared the lock up, but she knew she had no way in hell of overpowering Hana, watching as her body tensed up to compensate for Drifter's own efforts to push her back.
"Ahh crap!" Drifter whispered to herself more than anything else, knowing how easy it would be for Hana to toss her at a moment's notice. She was already dominating the lock up just by being present, and Kay knew she had to think fast and put some distance between her and the She Hulk of a marvel that was Harada Hana. Thinking quickly, Drifter tried to use the turnbuckle to her advantage, hopping up slightly and pressing her legs against it to better try and push against Hana and get out of the dangerous position. If she could, she looked to make some space an attempt to escape her grasp... failing that... Drifter dreaded to think!

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
“Ngh! Nah!” Hana couldn’t help but let out pained little grunts as Drifter’s fists slammed into her. Hana’s body took the blows hard, her muscular figure absorbing the impact as best she could, but there was no way that she could just shrug them off. Hana knew she had to close distance and get her arms around this girl, hopefully to start pushing her own advantages here, and close off the other girl’s striking game.
Hana shook her head, feeling bruises start to form on her body from where Drifter had struck her. The redhead knew she would be sore tomorrow, but that was another problem entirely. For now, she just had to focus on tonight, on this match, and do her best to change the direction things had been heading in. Locking up with Drifter, Hana could feel her power advantage, could feel Drifter struggling to keep up with her on sheer physical force. Hana knew she could still get out-paced on grappling, however, not knowing the girl’s skill level with counters and redirection, so Hana didn’t want to give Drifter that chance. She had to push through the pain and get on the offensive, and that meant giving her more lithe opponent no time to breathe!
“Hhhn?” Hana felet the sudden shift in Drifter’s position and looked down to see the girl had hopped up on the turnbuckle to get leverage. Drifter was smaller and propping herself up again the unyielding bottom turnbuckle was a smart strategy to get herself some leverage and avoid giving up ground. Hana pressed back with all her strength, not wanting to give Drifter an inch to use those deadly strikes of hers again.
Hana’s body quivered and shook, the bodybuilder rolling her strong shoulders as she pushed back against Drifter on the ropes. Hana grunted, arching her back to press her chest into her opponent’s, struggling with the effort of pressing against a woman who had all the leverage. The ref was beside them shortly, warning Hana to back off and let Drifter off the ropes, the girls currently bending the rules of a standard match. Hana nodded, but kept pushing. Hana squinted, trying to think fast, knowing that if she let Drifter go here, then she would soon be forced to take more of those sharp, heavy strikes. Hana looked down at Drifter’s feet, looking at them on the turnbuckle, the thing that was adding so much to her current struggle. However, Hana figured there had to be some disadvantages, quickly thinking of something that gave her a sharp smirk.
Quickly, Hana shifted her grip, then stepped back herself. Pushing her arms downward, Hana wanted to use Drifter’s own force along with her own to unseat the girl and shove her down to the mat! With Drifter pushing back and on a shaky footing, Hana hoped that she could slam the girl face-first into the canvas, looking to rock her hard against the ring mat!

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Drifter did not credit her own merits nearly enough. She was surprisingly strong for a lightweight, especially with her striking game as Hana had soon discovered. Though toe for toe Hana would no doubt overpower her sheer strength wise, but given that Drifter was able to gain some leverage, she was actually managing to just about hold off the powerful frame of her scantily clad opponant. It wasn't without cost however, and already a few beads of sweat were becoming visible upon Kay's brow as she wore a face of determination. Her figure was noticeably straining, her stomach muscles tensing up to compensate for the pressure as her arms trembled. Given her position on the ropes, she could not maintain it for long as the referee began to warn the two of them about the use of the turnbuckle and the ropes. Given neither Hana or Drifter backed down however, a DQ warning count would start soon. Drifter knew she had to think fast and try and find a way to convert her leverage into something she could use.
Unfortunately it never came to that however. Drifter had smarts, but it seemed her opponent did too when she was able to access the situation. Gravity seemed to shift all at once, with Hana taking a single step back and changing everything with a downward motion with her arms against Kay's. Unable to fight against air, Drifter was soon hoisted forwards by her own momentum, before finding herself victim to a harsh face buster of sorts. Her chest and face slammed into the mat first, her body almost shifting into a C like shape as her legs threatened to come over her head. The crowd all expressed their initial displeasure from the brutal move, feeling the pain of Drifter given how loud the slam echoed through the arena. They loved it all the same, soon turning to sounds of cheering and rejoicing. After a heavy bounce, Drifter settled onto the canvas, naturally favouring her face which took a heavy brunt of the slam.
The left side of her face felt half numb and raw with pain, a testament to the strength of her opponent Hana who was not only able to use her leverage against her, but add to it with her own power. Even worse, her senses had been knocked briefly, as Drifter found herself stumbling back first into the lower ropes when she tried to regain her feet. It lasted only seconds, but in a wrestling match, seconds were precious, and she knew Hana would be on her fast if she did not regain her defence. Keeping distance was still the port of call, but her position by the corner made it difficult to scramble away with Hana so close. Gritting her teeth in determination, Kay threw a quick haymaker. Though she was regaining her senses, they were not completely returned after such a devastating slam, and as such her strike buried into Hana's hip... a strike that would no doubt sting as all Drifter's strikes did, but misplaced and nowhere near as damaging as it could be, given Hana's powerful body and build.
Still, Drifter looked to try and slip by her side afterwards, looking to escape the corner and utilise more of the ring space if her efforts were successful. If Kay kept eating more slams like the one a moment ago, it would spell certain danger for sure. Drifter was never one to give up however...

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Hana landed the facebuster, bouncing off the ring as the two bodies crashed into it. Hana looked down at her foe, looking reluctant to hit a smaller opponent with such a heavy move, but still looking determined to do what she could to win this match. The young bodybuilder squared her jaw, narrowed her eyes, and tried to keep focus.
Drifter seemed smart, Hana thought, immediately going for the ropes after taking that fall. Hana was in good shape, able to sprint right back up, hoping she could press her advantage. Despite the clear advantage in size and musculature, Hana’s face showed some clear insecurity. The redhead knew she had to keep coming, keep herself on top of her opponent, if she was going to come out of this match a winner. Sure enough, Hana winced as Drifter’s next move, a wild punch into her hip, made her wince. The fist connected with hard muscle, sinking into her flesh, and it made Hana slow down for a moment. “Hhn!” Hana grunted, feeling the impact of the punch. If that blow had been aimed at her bare belly, or even somewhere like her face or chest, Hana knew she would be left reeling, and she also knew how lucky she had been to take the strike where she had!
Hana’s eyes widened when she saw that Drifter’s next move was to get out of the way, ducking and rushing to Hana’s side. Hana knew the girl was trying to escape being cornered, a great strategy. Biting her lip, Hana felt like there was no way she could let that happen. Drifter was obviously a great striker, and Hana had to press whatever advantage she had. So, as Drifter sidestepped her and tried to run off at the side, Hana extended her arm. She flexed a toned bicep and swung hard. Hana was looking to cut Drifter’s escape off hard at the pass, wanting the nail the young woman with a vicious lariat before she could get herself out of the corner!

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
As tough as Drifter was... she really couldn't keep taking hits like that! The Canadian knew how to fight and take punches and slams like no one else. Her time in a corrections facility had seen her fall into a fair few unavoidable brawls against the people she used to hang and cause trouble with. Getting jumped several times helped build endurance and defence in order to stay alive, and over time she started fighting back so hard it was no longer worth it for her old gang to trouble her anymore less they wanted some blackeyes and bruises to tend over for a few months. Drifter didn't bring much skill to the ring, but she brought toughness that few could rival... that said... eating such a lariat that Hana could dish out was not something anyone could take too many of before it got the best of you.
Hana's arm might as well have been a car knocking Drifter over on the sidewalk. Hana's muscled limb crashed into her chest, sending Drifter into a toss from the heavy impact and momentum before she landed on her front upon the canvas. Such a devastating hit caused the crowd to pop loudly upon the impressive sight. They had already been cheering, but the fight was heating up and both girls were dishing it to each other. Drifter was able to wear down Hana with strikes... but Hana could catch up with that hard work with one good blow as she just demonstrated. Though Drifter was out of the corner, she was certainly no better off lying on the mat. The air had been slammed out of her lungs from the impressive lariat, and the toss from the strike had left her a little dazed. She coughed out loud, trying to regain her breathe and her bearings as she slowly began to pull herself up.
"Dammit... anyone get the number of that truck?" Drifter couldn't help but wheeze out, as she slowly began to find her footings. She realised she was in trouble and at the mercy of Hana, but there was little she could do about it. If Hana did not take advantage of her downed state, Drifter looked to throw an uppercut towards her jaw as she rose... though given her dazed state, her aim was not exactly precise!

Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach
Hana laid into Drifter with her blows, looking to bowl the girl over and get as much of an advantage as she could. Still fresh in her career as a professional wrestler, or at least feeling like she was, Hana was still getting used to going all out. Despite the power in her full physical package, the young bodybuilder still had some hesitation to overcome when it came to laying into opponents, but tonight she was doing everything she could to ignore that impulse.
Hana’s arm slammed Drifter hard, looking to rock her to the mat, and she followed through with the swing hard. Twisting her buxom body with the lariat, Hana stepped past where Drifter would fall, letting her momentum carry through. Hana came to a stop at the ropes, grabbing them and steadying herself. She took a deep breath, her chest swelling against her tiny yellow bikini, and turned around to survey what kind of damage she might have been able to do, to her foe.
Drifter was getting up, but Hana felt like the blow had knocked some fight out of the girl. She spoke, but she was wheezing. She was getting up, but slowly. Hana didn’t want to let up, or let the fighter recover, so she rushed in. Lunging forward, Hana threw her arms wide to try and lock up with Drifter before the girl could get on steady footing, wanting to slam her right back down to the mat.
“GUUUHN!” Hana grunted, as a loud socking sound echoed through the arena. Time almost froze as Drifter’s uppercut connected with the redhead’s slender jaw. Hana’s head snapped upward, eyes wide in shock. Her body staggered backward, her curves jiggling as her momentum was interrupted. Hana stumbled back a step or two, blinking, then shaking her head, clearly struggling with remaining on her feet. Drifter’s blow came from unsteady footing, and it was enough to rock the muscular Hana and put her on her heels. Her eyes widened as she realized that if she had suffered the full force of a perfect shot like that, Hana might have had her lights put out right then and there! “Uuhhn,” Hana moaned, trying to re-orient herself in the arena and ignore her pounding head, “I … I might be … in trouble …”
