Satsuki took a deep breath in and blew it all out as she waited backstage. Many thoughts were racing through her mind right now. For her debut match, she was put up against another girl who was relatively new to LAW: Mayori. She did not know much about her opponent, but she knew that no matter what, she had to do her best. No pulling punches. As the leader (the other two didn't want it) of LAW's newest faction, the Carnival Girls, as well as the first of her group to make her debut, it fell to her to do well. How she performed in this match would determine whether the rest of the roster would give her faction respect, or ignore them as just a bunch of jobbers. Therefore, this match was instrumental in springing all of their careers forward.

Of course, she wasn't going to cheat or anything, but she needed to do whatever it took to get a strong victory here. As she waited to be introduced, she looked over her ring gear. She had on a bright orange and yellow sports bra, along with a matching pair of wrestling shorts. Also, she wore black elbow and knee pads, along with white wrestling boots. Just as she finished double checking everything, her theme music started playing.

Dual Swords by Vulkain played on the loud speaker as Satsuki burst out onto the ramp. She pumped her fist into the air, showing the crowd her energy and excitement for this match. She then jogged down to the ring, hopped up on the apron, and propelled herself over the top rope, landing in a somersault on the mat.

The ring announcer was cued:
"Introducing the first competitor, weighing in a 119 lbs, and making her LAW debut, please welcome.... Satsuki Bino!"
A moderate amount of cheers came up from the crowd. Some were excited to see what the new face would do, but most didn't really know what to expect, and simply just kept quiet. Satsuki made her way to the corner and waited for her opponent to be introduced.

"...Satsuki Bino!"

One of the other LAW girls as propping open the locker room door and talking to her tag team partner, so the booming voice reached Mayori without a problem. She straightened the faux-armor on her left knee pad and adjusted her bottoms while she walked out of the locker room. She put her arms up and redid her ponytail as she made her way toward the GO-position. Walking past the other girls backstage, she kept an inward dialogue with herself.

Tie up and strike. Tie up and strike...

She wasn't antisocial, but she barely acknowledged the other face wrestlers on her way up to the stage. Had Yuki been around, she would have hugged her to calm her nerves. A debuting girl for LAW was a wild card at best, a terrible surprise at worst. Mayori absolutely loathed the prospects of the unknown factor that was Satsuki. Had she finished her training recently? Was she at the top of her wrestling school class? Was she going to stand tall at the end of the night.

Terrified...where's Yuki?

She banished any further questions when the shine of the ramp light lit up her new, mostly white two piece. The Japanese flag was minimized to just be on the left side of the spandex tank top. The red rays were resigned to just red piping along the borders of her top and high cut briefs - thinner on the waistband and the same width along the leg holes. It was a newer look and Mayori was mostly happy with it. "Mostly" because she wasn't sure if it made her look more capable and professional to a possible fan following. She made it down the ramp with a casual stride and only hit the hands of a couple of people that wanted more than just a slap-five. One held their camera out and wanted a selfie, presumably. Mayori didn't oblige, her nerves were rattling her about this contest.

She just smiled nervously and entered the ring.
Spoiler
"...Mayori"

Satsuki watched as her opponent made her way to the ring. Even from this far, Satsuki could tell Mayori was nervous. Of course, Satsuki was nervous too! It was just that she was way more excited than she was nervous. She could understand where her opponent was coming from: not knowing what your opponent is going to be like, if you going to live up to your reputation. She actually had no idea if Mayori really felt that way, but she figured that was close enough.

As Mayori entered the ring, Satsuki debated whether or not to greet her. It would be rude not to, right? But she doesn't look like she wants anyone to chat with her...

Satsuki decided to let Mayori make that decision.

Either way, if Mayori did not greet her, she would simply come out of her corner and get into a ready stance, waiting for the bell to ring.

Mayori bowed toward her opponent and then the referee. Her focus having left how she looked in her new gear, she approached Satsuki and stopped in the middle of the ring. She wasn’t in a fighting stance and her bright eyes went from her opponent to the referee.

The stipulations were gone over and the formalities of checking each wrestler for foreign bodies was completed. Mayori offerred her hand and a cordial bow toward Satsuki. She saw in her the same look she had when she fought in her inaugural match with Yuki.

I still feel like she does...Probably more dangerous than I thought. Strike first...

Satsuki had a determination that was readily visible. Mayori would need to call upon her full striking arsenal to get an upper hand early.

As Mayori extended her hand out, Satsuki grasped it and shook it. "Let's have a great match!" she said in a cheerful voice, choosing to at least say something to her opponent before the match. It made her feel less guilty about being rude.

Once that was done, she would back away a few steps and get into her ready pose. Satsuki needed to draw on her many years of wrestling knowledge in this match, of that, she was certain off. She looked to the ref, giving her a nod to begin the match.

Once both wrestlers are ready, the ref signals for the bell:

DING! DING! DING!

And the match begins...

Mayori recognized that smile and cheerful voice. She had it three years ago the day she began training in the wrestling academy. Satsuki was seizing this special moment by taking Mayori's hand so eagerly. The bell sounded and the arsenal was called upon by Mayori, her way of trying to seize it back.

She approached Satsuki in her striking stance and didn't wait for her to meet in the middle. On opposite side of the ring, Mayori made the match feel like an MMA bout by attempting alternating thigh kicks on her opponent. This wasn't desperation, it was a test and an attempt to regain some confidence. Mayori may need to take to the air in this fight and that required positive momentum. First, though, these kicks needed to lead to a meaningful offense.

The crowd is still getting introduced to Mayori, so this aggressiveness was received as eagerness. The LAW crowd wanted to see girls that were here to leave it in the ring. Mayori's start earned her their appreciation in these opening seconds.

Satsuki was expecting a traditional lock-up in the center of the ring. What she got instead was a few thigh kicks that stung with each hit. An odd start, perhaps, but still a viable strategy nonetheless. Satsuki grinned: I'm gonna enjoy this match! she thought giddily.

As more kicks came, Satsuki would attempt to grab one of Mayori's legs as it was coming in for a hit. Should she be successful, she would have Mayori balancing on one leg. Using this advantage, she would then attempt to sweep her opponent's leg out from under her, sending her down to the canvas.

"HYYYY...YAHHH! HYAH! HYAH! HYAH..."

Mayori's strategy found success and it was inevitable for Satsuki to end up being driven into her corner by the barrage. That is, if that's where Mayori wanted to put her.

The four kicks found the fleshier parts of her opponent's thighs and when a fifth kick from the left side went in to greet skin with her padded shin, Mayori's white boot was caught! The backpedaling that Satsuki was forced to make due to the kicks got them close to the ropes, so Mayori reached for the ones to her right.

Before her fingertips could find purchase, Satsuki took out the other leg that Mayori was balancing on and sent her backward, crashing to the canvas.

"AYYYOHH!" She let out with the sting from the mat against the back of her shoulders. Her left leg was still caught and managed to do a sit-up so that she could further defend herself. The thick of the close quarters battle was on and they were a half meter from the ropes, a full meter from the corner behind Satsuki.

Mayori reached toward her caught leg, instinctively, and then for Satsuki's left thigh.

With Mayori now down on the canvas, it was Satsuki's turn to deliver some thigh kicks. As she held on to Mayori's left leg, she began sending her left foot into Mayori's left thigh.

"HAA! YAH! HAA!"

She would repeat this three or four times until a nice bruise forms. She may even hit Mayori's arm if she tries to guard against the kicks. She is just hoping to deal as much damage as she can right now, to make it harder to defend later. She would then try to go for another thigh kick, but this one gets caught by Mayori, and now Satuski is the one balancing on one leg!

Uh oh...

Mayori's head flinched with every shot to her left thigh, her hair flying back with each kick.

"AYOHH! AYYY! UGH!"

She wasn't able to stop all of the incoming strikes and it was wearing her non-dominant leg down. Her primary striking leg.

Mayori then lucked out and caught one of the strikes before more blunt trauma was inflicted. Her options weren't plentiful, they were still close to the ropes and Satsuki's corner.

The corner!

Mayori held on to the opposing white boot and sat forward from where she was, which put her underneath Satsuki's orange-clad backside. Using her own fresh (right) leg, Mayori got up to one knee and was forcing Satsuki to either go back and hit her head on the middle turnbuckle or use the ropes to keep right side-up. She needed Satsuki to choose the latter for an offensive move of her own, but either would do to escape this situation.

Mayori heard the referee begin a corner count and the clock was ticking for one of them to initiate a break or risk a DQ.
