Katori Kimura vs. Nana Yoshida - Start of a Lasting Bond

Unread post by Cy_Man »

Match Type- 1v1 Single Match
Ring Type- LAW Standard
Win Conditions- Pinfall, Submission or Knock Out
Rules- Standard Rules

After having managed to make a successful comeback into the wrestling world with Katori Kimura's debut match in LAW, the management already booked a second match up for the Mighty Successor to take on to continue her stride into this Wrestling Federation. From a productive perspective, Katori sees it as both a chance to make herself known that she's back in wrestling, as well as seeing it as LAW's chance to get more ratings and subscribers to paid memberships by using the return of a old fan favorite Wrestle Angels veteran to boost the chances of those. Either way, Katori's wrestling a second match in LAW, and that's all that matters to her right now.

She was in the locker room finishing up getting dressed up in her one-piece outfit, slipping on her gloves last as she stands up from the bench. The information Katori got on her opponent for the night was rather interesting, to be honest. The youngest of 3 sisters, all of which were second generation wrestlers, following a traditional fighting style but with some deviations to stand out, and to top it off, it was her debut match. It was both intriguing and funny at the same time, Katori is taking part against another debuting wrestler a second time in a row and it was a young rising star whom already has some experience under her belt with strict training which she can evaluate. This should be good.
Spoiler
Katori slapped her cheeks and did some last minute stretches to warm up her body a bit until she was called over to the guerrilla position by a backstage hand to get ready for her entrance, as she was going first this time. Once her theme started playing, on instinct like second nature Katori went through the curtains and entered the arena as the crowd cheers for the Mighty Successor once more!

It was a sight that will never get old for the young woman, basking in the cheers of the loving fans as Katori waves to them from the stage before going down the ramp to the ring. As usual she does her routine of giving fans as much high fives and fist bumps as she can until she got to the ring, climbing up the apron but this time instead of vaulting over the top ropes, Katori merely slips in between them to enter the ring. A much unusual thing to see, but for Katori it was a sign that she was in more control of her energy as every match she did in Wrestle Angels she always vaulted over the ropes and exerted so much energy on her entrance to show off to the crowd. But now she was keeping it in check to save it all for the match, truly a sign that the young lady has grown up over the years.

The Wrestle Angel went to the center of the ring and continued to wave to the audience while they continue to cheer for her, just loving the feeling of being welcomed like this and being loved in return for giving the fans a good show and a legacy to follow and watch in the coming years. Once the waving was over with, Katori turned over to her corner and walked over to it. She did a few more last minute stretches with her legs, but not long she'll stand up straight and lean against her corner and looked towards the arena entrance, eagerly waiting for her younger opponent and see what she can do tonight.

Backstage the youngest of the Yoshida sisters was stretching out in the back with her older sister Tsumi watching over her and was helping her formulate a bit of a plan that Nana could use in this match. Though her sister spoke to Nana, Nana was only partly listening due to the butterflies in her stomach. Unlike her sisters and mother this was Nana’s debut on such a big stage and needless to say, she was nervous. She would slap both of her cheeks to sort of sike herself up for this. She looks at her older sister who paused for a moment to hug her and to let her know that she was going to do well. Win or lose show them that she meant business. Nana smiled at her older sister and hugs her back, after letting go she puts on a kimono like dress over her wrestling miko outfit. A white and red design like her mother would wear down to the ring.

Tsumi then would hand Nana a box which Nana would take and look at the decently sized box. Nana slowly opened the box and her heart would flutter as she revealed her very own kitsune mask, it was made exactly how she wanted it even though her mother had said it was too flashy. Tsumi smirks as she had let her know that this was her doing alone as she did not want to hold back on Nana’s creativity. Nana as she looked down at the mask ringing the bells that were at the side of it and feeling the feathers with a smile. “Thank you so much Tsumi-chan! I love it!” Nana hugs her older sister tightly while Nana received a pat on the head. Though everything was happening at once Nana stopped for a moment and started thinking of what she had read up on her opponent for the evening. When she found out that her opponent had wrestled for the old Wrestle Angels promotion and was making a comeback she thought that was cool. Especially since she was trained by the Mighty Yukiko herself.

So needless to say but she knew that this match was going to be a hard one. Nana takes the mask out of the box and places it over her face and straps it to her head. She hands her phone to Tsumi so she could take pictures of her. After the pictures were taken she looks the monitors hearing Katori’s theme playing loudly for the the crowd. She rushes to the guerrilla position. Nana waited as she watched the crowd cheer for Katori. Nana had to admit watching her enter the ring was cool, especially since it seemed to be different than how she did from the past videos Nana had watched. As Katori’s theme would stop playing Nana soon nodded waiting for the correct time for her to go through the curtain as her theme started playing. When the song started to pick up Nana exits the guerrilla position and is on the main stage posing for the fans.

Though Nana is new the fans would greet her with cheers while Nana made her way down the ramp giving high fives and bowing to the crowd. Once close to the ring she would use the steps that were next to ring and soon climbed up to to the top turnbuckle but maintaining balance by having her other foot stay on the second one for now. She removes her kimono like dress revealing her white and red miko attire.

She then looks at Katori and nods to her before looking out to the crowd and removing her kitsune mask. She then climbs up to the top turnbuckle and jumps off of it rolling into what some called the “Superhero pose” with her knee down and and fist on the ground. She looks up and quickly gets up once again waving to the crowd before handing the ref her entrance gear. Nana soon turns to Katori and smiles as she bows to her. Showing respect to her before the match would start.

Katori waited patiently in the ring against her opponent for her rookie opponent, wondering how this girl would fare against her. Truth be told that while she did aim to win, knowing she was against a rookie made her curious to see just where she currently stands as a wrestler. Her wait wasn't long as shortly Nana's theme starts to play. Hearing that it was classic Japanese style music that kicked off instantly made Katori perk up as she listened to it intently while looking towards the arena entrance as she bounces her head to the nice music.

Then there was her opponent on the arena stage, dressed VERY flashy with a cute kimono and a detailed mask. Katori whistles at what she sees while Nana strolls down the ramp towards the ring, giving the fans just as much service as the Mighty Successor did herself. The angel kept her eyes on Nana the entire time with an amused grin while bouncing her head, seeing her climb up the turnbuckle and shedding her kimono and mask, revealing the miko style outfit.

Admittedly it did make Katori question why she was wearing an outfit based on miko-san style attire, but it looked cute on her and it was designed in a way that makes it fit for taking part in wrestling even if the wide open sleeves were pushing it a little bit. Katori raised an eyebrow when Nana nodded at her then saw her jump roll off the turnbuckle, landing in a 'superhero pose'. She has no idea why she decided to do that as it's hard on the knees, but it was still impressive as the Wrestle Angel gave Nana a quick applause, followed by her bow when her opponent gave one herself.

But Katori wanted to top this by being traditional in formal greeting in a wrestling ring, that most face wrestlers do and see how Nana plays it out. Katori will step from her corner to get close to the center of the ring, she'll hold out her hand to Nana to invite the girl for a friendly handshake to start this off right. If the miko girl accepts the handshake, Katori will give it a solid and firm grip, not enough to hurt but not enough to easily break from either. All while her smile would widen, in both appreciation of respect and sportsmanship, and in seeing Nana knowing how to do this right.

Nana looks at the veteran standing across the ring from her after Nana had bowed Katori would bow back to her. This made Nana smile, Katori seemed friendly, this was going to be great. Nana had noticed though as she had made her entrance to the ring that the Mighty Successor followed all of Nana’s movements down to the ring, even was bobbing her head at times to Nana’s theme. Nana walks over to her corner as she would start to stretch out once more. She started hopping in the ring trying to get shake off what nerves she had, as today was her first official match here in LAW and being of age.

But as she jumped she would abruptly stop to look Katori would walk out to the middle of the ring. Nana would blink for a moment wondering what the veteran was about to do. But that was when she saw Katori extend her hand out to Nana inviting her to shake he hand. Nana smiled as she remembered her mother talking about this very specific thing. “Never give a loose handshake, always nice and firm. Let them know you are here for a good match, not trying to crush them, or that soft. Just firm and solid handshake.” Nana thought to herself, even making her mother’s voice in her head.

Nana looks down at Katori’s hand and then back at Katori. While facing Katori Nana’s hand would meet with Katori’s and Nana would give her a firm, handshake, keeping it until Katori would eventually let go. Nana’s eyes not leaving Katori’s keeping to what Nana’s mother had told her. “I look forward to wrestling Katori-san. Lets give them our best!” Nana said with a big smile on her face before returning to her corner on the other side of the ring. Soon the announcer would announce both women to the crowd. When it got to Nana, Nana would step forward and bow to the crowd before waving out to them. Nana could feel it, she was ready for this match to begin.

Nana would not have to wait long was the bell would ring signaling the start of the match. Nana looks started circling Katori. But as she did, Nana would clap getting the crowd to clap with her. After making two circles around the ring Nana would shoot forward and goes to try and lock up with the vet. If Katori was to lock up with Nana, Nana would lock up with Katori, to fight for better position against the other. Nana would try stepping in and would at first go with some fundamentals and tries locking Katori into a headlock! If successful Nana would try wrenching Katori's arm trying to get even though small, some damage to Katori early on.

With her hand held out to Nana, inviting the young girl for a proper friendly handshake, Katori waited to see if she would accept it and start off both the match and her LAW career right. She didn't have to wait long, as the rookie makes her way over to her, standing a bit from the angel who seemed a bit hesitant at first before taking Katori's hand and giving her a nice firm shake as well. This made the angel's smile wider, especially after hearing what Nana said to her with respect.

"That's what I like to hear, you got a hot fire in your soul." Katori said with sincere assurance to motivate and make Nana feel confident in herself so she would give it her all herself. Once both wrestlers broke the handshake, Katori would follow up with a quick pat on the side of the miko wrestler's shoulder. "Let's give it our all tonight, show me what your fire can do, Yoshida-chan." The Mighty Successor finished with a wink as she went back to her corner to lean against and wait for the match to start off. Before that though the announce started introductions of her own, Katori was first to be announced, and in response she pushed out from her corner again and raise a fist up high while slowly spinning around to get a good view of all sides of the ring before going back in for Nana's turn.

Then the gong rings, starting the match. Katori instantly pushed off from the corner and got into her stance, she dropped her smile and wore a serious expression and keeping her guard up while she and Nana circle each other. Out of nowhere right off the bat the young girl started clapping to get everyone to clap with her, this rose an eyebrow on Katori's face as usually that is done right before executing finishing moves.

Soon though, Nana started to make the first move. She jogged around the ring in a circle 2 times before charging at Katori and throwing her arms around the woman, going for a Elbow and Collar lock up right away, a good starting tactic at the beginning of a match. Katori can feel the smaller girl struggling and putting her all in trying to get in control of the lock-up, before Nana decided to change things up quickly. As the Wrestle Angel was quickly maneuvered into a Side Headlock by the young Yoshida. Katori grunted at the sudden change as her head was worked over, but quickly smirked and looked up at Nana.

"Not bad, but not good enough!" She'll let out as the Mighty Successor with break her free arm free and wrap both arms around Nana's waist tightly before planting her feet down against the mat. With all she has, Katori will lift her opponent up and over her with all she has almost with ease as she goes to slam Nana back and shoulders first with a textbook Backdrop slam!

Nana smirks as she was able to lock the side headlock in. wrenching the head to tighten it up a bit. At times she would drop to one knee to keep the hold in. Nana looks at Katori as she rose back up to her feet as of now Nana has control over her seasoned Wrestle Angel. Nana looks at Katori for a moment, Nana knew that she wanted to take Katori down to the mat soon that she could maintain her control over the veteran wrestler. Nana was going to go ahead start transitioning into it but then she heard Katori’s words. “Wha-?” Was all Nana could say as she felt Katori’s arms wrap around her waist.

Nana drops her hold on Katori to grab at Katori’s hands now clasped around her waist. Nana would try to pry her hands free but found that she could not as she is lifted up into the air and slammed down hard onto the mat. Nana grabs the small of her back slowly rising up to her feet. As she did she was in a bit of a daze so she could not as of yet see straight. She would soon find herself at the mercy of Katori’s next attack.

Katori lost the chance to get the first move in with the match against the young Nana, but even still, she managed to get the first real hit in the match. After getting caught in the Yoshida's Headlock, she managed to quickly counter it by wrapping her arms around the girl's waist and then lifting her up to slam in a textbook Backdrop slam onto her back! Katori let go of the girl immediately upon impact as she rolled to the side and pushed back to her feet.

As she was still fresh, Nana was able to get up quick too, if just a little bit slower than the Wrestle Angel. She looked slightly dazed too, definitely not something to be during a match and this early in no less, and Katori will show her why. Taking advantage of the moment, Katori will wrap her arms around Nana's head in a side Headlock of her own, but will keep moving forward to drag the girl with her over while working her neck over.

Once Katori got to the ropes, she'll reposition Nana to be in front of her before pushing her against the ropes and then twisting herself around Irish Whip the girl to the other side of the ring. Keeping her eyes on her opponent, Katori will wait until she bounces off the other side's ropes before charging herself at Nana. When she gets close, the Mighty Successor will spin herself around as she raises her leg to strike at Nana in the chest with a Running Spin Kick!

Nana was in a bad spot at first as she was just trying to recover from the backdrop that that caught her off guard. Nana would shake her head for a moment as Katori would wrap her arms around her head locking in her own side headlock. Nana needed to do something fast or she was going to find herself in a worst spot than she already was. But for now Nana was in Katori’s control.

Katori would drag the youngest Yoshida around the ring while working over her neck. Nana would let out grunts from time to time but would not cry out in pain. For now she had to control her breathing and look for an opening. Nana would look to Katori as she remained in control of her, though Katori has more experience than Nana, Nana still had excellent training to at least help her with this situation.

Nana would soon be repositioned against the ropes once Katori brought her over close enough. Pressing the younger girl against the ropes before sending her off to the other side of the ring with a IRish whip. But there it was an opening Nana could use, once she bounced off the other side’s ropes she saw Katori start to charge, but it was time to guess, clothesline or kick. Nana then saw how Katori was positioned, she was trying to get a running start for a kick.

Nana soon would dive underneath the kick from the kick and rolls back up to her feet behind Katori and her back against the ropes. When Katori would turn around Nana would bounce herself against the ropes and jumps up to throw a dropkick but focus it on Katori’s left leg instead of the body, hoping to cut Katori down and hopefully get some of her own offense in.

The Mighty Successor of Mighty Yukiko sought to capitalize her advantage over Nana's dazed state as she forced the girl into a Side Headlock, working her neck over as Katori dragged the young girl to the ropes. Using her coordination and positioning, Katori rebound Nana off the ropes with an Irish Whip, which she attempted to follow up by charging at her opponent and strike her with a Running Spin Kick!

At least, that was the plan. Surprisingly for Katori, Nana recovered her bearings enough for her to duck under the kick. Katori slowed down to a halt after her kick missed, her expression having elements of surprise and amusement over what happened. She turns around to see Nana coming right back at the Wrestle Angel, whom leaped up in the air and shot her legs forward at Katori to hit her with a Dropkick!

She didn't have any time to react at all, as the kick lands on Katori's left leg! "Ughh..!" Katori let out as the Dropkick forced her to drop down to a single knee, leaving her stunned for a moment as she nurses her leg. Inside though, Katori couldn't help but feel very impressed with Nana's resourcefulness to bounce back so quick.

Nana collided with Katori’s leg forcing the bluenette to a knee Nana would quickly get back her to her feet seeing an attack of opportunity. Instead of going for her knee again she would try to go for what her family is known for. Hard kicks to the head.

Nana would step up and launches a hard roundhouse kick towards the side of the head of Katori. Even if Katori would block it she would feel the solid kick that could bring down a weaker wrestler. Nana’s kicks were not as strong as her older sisters but that comes from their years of training and improving them as time went on. But even then Nana had a hard kick of her own that would put most wrestler’s kicks to shame.

If Nana was actually to fully connect with Katori’s head she would try to pin Katori quickly seeing if the kick would have been enough. Most likely not but Nana would do it to kind of keep things moving, and who knows if she was lucky maybe Katori would be dazed enough to actually stay down for the count? But she knew she was against a tough opponent and there was no way she would stay down from just one kick.
