Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Normal rules: Win via pin, submission, or DQ.
The first day of the rest of your life. It was, for the most part, a fairly insipid phrase. Any day could be the first day of the rest of your life, provided that you found something trivial that could divide your life. But Jessica could not help the feeling that there was now a line in the sand. In her first match, she dominated. Jessica had the berth of the ring, and used it to achieve a victory in her first match here at LAW. And then came Lilliana. Jessica had not faced a woman like that nor a match like that as long as she had been around. And the Violent Violet payed the price, thrice over.
There were a lot of changes since then. A new outfit, that was a given. It is not like she really had much of a choice. More training. Jessica was pushing herself. Lilliana overpowered her, and that was not something that she would allow to happen again. She had hit the weights harder than she ever had previously. No more beer. No more screwing around. Jessica watched and analyzed the tape, painful as it was, to try and figure out what went wrong, and how. Then she sparred, rededicating herself to training as she had never done before. Jessica, who already knew a wide variety of moves, started adding even more to her arsenal.
But more importantly than anything, as soon as she could, she marched up to the brass at LAW and demanded another match. Jessica was going to get back on the horse, she was determined. As she walked away from the meeting with a bewildered manager, it occurred to her what a loss might mean. That she wasn't good enough. That she would have to go back to Iowa. That she might as well give up on the dream of being a wrestler, and go become a hog farmer. She balled her fist. As long as her heart was still beating, she was not going to let that happen. She got up from her chair, and made her way to the hallway.
Jessica's purple eyes were focused ahead. Tonight was going to be everything. Make or break. She was going to have to give it her all, or hop on the next plane back. She adjusted her black gloves. They were going to add a bit more oomph to her punches and help her get a grip on her opponent. She stopped to lace up her boots. They were going to grip the canvas better, and help her ensure that she did not get pushed back. The gladiator motif? Well, that was just for her. Fight or die. No in between.
Jessica emerged at the top of the ramp, mostly to jeers. Her dark, haunting music had a more tenebrous tone as she walked down to the ring. Never did her purple eyes waver from the ring upon which she would seal her fate. She slid under the bottom rope, and then stalked back to her corner.
She took a deep breath in.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Jun Saejima would be having another match with one named Jessica Wright. Whoever her opponent was, the Japanese martial-artist was determined to show her what she was capable of. Already wearing her white leotard with the patterns shaped like ravens emblazoned on it, Jun fixed her wristband as she waited for her cue to make her entrance. And soon, when her entrance music was played, Jun would step out into the ramp, and she could see her opponent waiting for her in the ring.
Walking down the ramp, Jun headed over to the ring. Looking composed and aloof, Jun seemed to show no expression or emotion on her face as she headed over to her battlefield. And once she arrived, she would climb up the apron, entering the ring before she did some stretching up, preparing herself for a clash with her opponent. Once she was done, she would stare at Jessica, not uttering any word as she waited for the referee to officiate the match with a call for the bell.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Jessica watched her opponent come down the ramp, quiet anticipation rising within her as the darkhaired woman got closer and closer. The ravens on her one piece portended evil, but Jessica tried to hold back the superstitious side of her. After all, she would be wrestling this evening. For her own sake she was going to have to believe that she was in charge of her own fate. She clenched her fist. Jessica had entered the ring this evening to reclaim her stake to wrestling greatness. And that was going to have to be entirely on her shoulders.
Her opponent said nothing. It was a little unnerving, really. Jessica could deal with a harsh opponent who hurled curses and threats. The Violent Violet could deal with a bouncy little heroine who wanted to be friends with everyone. Yet the harsh silence, made louder by the terseness of the crowd, caused great restlessness in her. Her eyes narrowed and she turned her shoulder a bit.
"Are you ready to get fucking killed tonight?" Jessica took a step forward, and brought her fists up. It was nearly go time. She started inching forward, bit by bit, eager to see what hand this woman was ready to show. Although given the first impression that she got, she very much doubted that it was going to be much...

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Jun looked at her opponent, her expression still unchanging until she heard her words. Raising one eyebrow as she mulled over her words, her lips then curled up into a small smile. "Are you?" Jun said simply, answering Jessica's question with a simple question of her own. From what she could tell, the woman before her seemed to be someone with something to prove, and she could understand that. After all, she had no shortage of meetings with this kind of people in the past.
Now that Jessica had stepped forward, Jun would also do the same, preparing herself for her clash with the violet-haired woman before her. Like Jessica, she would also raise both her hands, bur rather than bringing up her fists, Jun held out her hands open instead. Seeing Jessica inching forward, getting closer and closer, Jun watched her, trying to predict what her opponent had in her mind.
Then, the bell was rung, officiating the match between Jun and Jessica. Rather than closing in to start a clash between her and her opponent, Jun would keep her distance, eyes carefully watching the violet-haired woman before her. It seemed that she was waiting for what Jessica would throw at her, and Jun was confident enough in her own strength to take it head on.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Well that was...annoying. The simple retort to Jessica's threat carried all of the weight of the best promo she had ever heard, and it was only two words. Already, the Violent Violet was pissed off. The match had not even begun. The fury she bore towards her opponent was clearly written on her face, but more so written in her body language as the inches towards her opponent turned into feet, which then turned into yards. Soon she was at a full gallop, racing across the ring at an opponent who seemed ready for anything.
Jessica threw herself at her opponent as hard as she possibly could. When she reached the pivotal point, she leapt into the air and flung her feet forward with wild abandon. She was going for a two legged missile drop kick to get the party started off on the right foot. That ought to shut this woman's mouth, if nothing else.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Jun could tell that her simple retort earlier had affected Jessica, and she couldn't help but feel amused about it. Still, she would have to be careful to not underestimate the violet-haired woman before her, knowing that fury was one hell of a drug. And it was evident when the match finally began as Jessica quickly went for an attack, rushing over to her before leaping up into the air to deliver a dropkick.
Having no time to move aside, Jun would bring up both her arms, shielding herself from the incoming attack as she would move backwards. "Urgh!!" While Jessica managed to hit her with the dropkick, Jun would make sure to lessen the blow by moving behind. Even so, the blow still managed to knock Jun down, but she wouldn't let herself staying down as she would use her momentum of falling down to roll over onto her knees before getting back up.
Quickly getting herself back on her feet, Jun shook her arms that she used to shield herself earlier before she took a stance, preparing herself to take whatever Jessica would throw at her next.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Jessica's feet extended forward. She was fairly tall for a woman, and when she was laying out as she was it was easy to see just how athletic she was. Her black boots did not meat with Jun's chest as she had hoped they would, but rather with her opponent's arms. As she plummeted to the ground, she quietly cursed her fortune. The woman was prepared for the attack. Perhaps because Jessica had telegraphed it from a mile away. Jessica's body hit the canvas, and in the next second, she was back on her feet, buoyed by the tremendous anger burning inside of her.
Jessica was only a short distance away from her beautiful opponent, and she closed that gap in a hurry. The Violent Violet had her hand balled into a fist down low, and brought it up and around for a powerful right hook that came in with the force of one of the tornadoes that haunted Jessica's childhood. Her feet were planted, and her shoulders were square. This one was coming in hot. Red hot. And she was not going to waver until the blow hit its mark.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Quickly getting back up on her feet, Jun looked at Jessica to see what her opponent would do next. Seeing that Jessica was coming over to her, balling her hand into a fist, Jun tried to predict the trajectory of the hook, and would react accordingly to it. As Jessica got closer, she would step forward, bringing up her left arm, using her elbow to block the incoming hook. As she used her elbow to absorb the blow, she would quickly try to grab Jessica's right arm, looking to twist said arm into an armlock!
Not only that, Jun also planned to make Jessica lose her footing by tripping her down into the mat, having her fall onto her chest as she held onto her right arm, and she was looking to apply pressure to said arm in order to weaken her.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
There was no stopping at this point. Jessica recognized that. When she was Jun moving, she knew that it was bad news, but at this point anything short of the complete stoppage of time meant that the powerful blow was going to come off. Halfway, at least. Jun's quick block ensured that Jessica's powerful strike did not hit its mark. It was frustrating, but Jessica could live with frustrations. What she could not live with was the fact that Jun sunk in an armlock, robbing her of some of her strength. She grimaced. Jun then took her to the ground, with Jessica face down.
She growled. This was not a good position to be in, and she knew it. Her arm was really starting to smart. This particular spot was untenable, and Jessica was going to have to break out of it as quickly as she possibly could. The only problem was, she did not quite know how. Jessica tried to lean back a little bit, to alleviate some of the pressure being applied to her arm while she thought of a better defense to get out of the hold.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Jun Saejima
Now that she got Jessica on her belly as she applied the armlock on her, Jun would keep applying pressure in said hold, making sure to weaken said arm. But Jessica seemed to know how to deal with this predicament as she leaned back, lessening the pressure applied in the hold. Thinking that the hold would be ineffective to maintain for long, Jun decided to release her opponent from the hold after a while, and she would get back up.
But, rather than giving Jessica a moment to recover, Jun would also try to pull her opponent up on her feet, planning to grab her by her right arm in order to twist it at her wrist. She was looking to weaken said arm to give herself more advantage over her opponent later in this match.
