Renee would be staring at her reflection with the Loserbelt Championship. She would touch her face and felt the wrinkles on it, seeing that she was getting older by the minute. She was only a year before hitting the Big 30 and what has she achieved in LAW since the 3 years after her debut? A fucked up back and being the current holder of the infamous LAW Loserbelt Championship. She would’ve been busy sulking in what was before when she heard some excited yelling from across the hallway of the backstage area.

“Who the fuck is making all that racket over there?”

Renee would drag the Loserbelt Championship with her as she went to investigate who was making all that noise.

Maddy voice echoed down the hallway, bright and unfiltered, the kind of excitement that hadn’t yet learned how to stay quiet in a place like LAW.

“Okay, this place is huge,” she said to no one in particular, spinning on her heel as she walked backward, eyes darting everywhere at once. Posters of past champions, doors labeled with names she recognized from tapes she’d studied, others she didn’t but would. “They’ve got an actual training ring back here, a medical wing that looks like a sci-fi movie, and wait, is that a cold plunge?” She stopped suddenly, nearly bumping into a production crate, then laughed it off, brushing her hair back. There was no nerves on her face—just pure, restless energy. The kind that came from finally being somewhere she’d imagined for a long time. LAW. A place where she can finally prove to herself and others just how talented the next generation can be.

Maddy continues to look around, eventually catching sight of Renee at the end of the hall, the belt dragging along behind her. Maddy’s eyes locked onto it almost instantly—not with fear, but curiosity. Interest. Respect mixed with something sharper. “Oh hey,” Maddy called out, waving casually as if this were just another gym and not a promotion she’d grown up watching.

Renee would see her approaching and groaned. Great. Another green chipper signee to this wretched place. She would let Maddy come to her as she would place the Loserbelt Championship onto her shoulders. Renee then leaned against a production box as she would start up the conversation.

“So. I’m guessing you’re the new signee to the League of Anime Wrestling? That stupid gm decided that this dumbass place needed more jobbers for the better talent to destroy. Whoo-fucking-pee. I’m Renee ‘Renegade’ Steinhauser. I’m guessing you’ll tell me your name too.”

Maddy’s grin didn’t falter after Renee’s unnecessary comment, though her eyes flicked to the Loserbelt on Renee’s shoulders for just a beat longer than necessary. She stepped closer, tilting her head like she was studying a rare collectible, one that clearly had a reputation before it even opened its mouth. “Maddy Morgan,” she said cheerfully, voice carrying just the right amount of challenge. “And, uh… thanks for the warm welcome. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on becoming a permanent part of anyone’s highlight reel—or lowlight reel, for that matter.”

Her smile sharpened just a fraction, almost hidden behind that friendly energy, as she gestured subtly at the belt. “But hey… that’s a pretty fancy accessory you’re clinging to. Must be nice to hold onto something even if, you know, it doesn’t exactly scream ‘champion material.’”
Maddy tilted her head again, almost innocently, letting the words hang like a faint jab disguised as curiosity.

She adjusted her stance slightly, bouncing lightly on her feet, clearly ready to match Renee’s energy whichever way she decides to continue this conversation.

Renee would take offense to that as she would grab Maddy by the strings of her top and would pin her to some boxes.

“What the fuck did you just say to me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know that I started my wrestling career when you were starting to not piss your fucking diaper every night when you went to bed. Respect your fucking elders. You don’t know what the fuck I’ve done in my career while you are just starting out.”

Renee was about to press on but that was when management cleared their throat, seeing Renee looking to rough up the newest signee backstage; probably not the best way to introduce a new signee to LAW. Renee then grunted before throwing her to the floor. There, she turned to management and started walking to them.

“I want her in the ring, tonight. I’m not taking no for an answer.”

Renee then pushed past management and would already be walking to gorilla as she was getting ready to make her entrance for this impromptu match.

Maddy’s eyes went wide as Renee yanked her forward, hands grabbing her top and slamming her against the boxes. The sharp impact stole the breath from her lungs, and for a split second, all the cheerful bravado melted into pure shock.

“You—what the—hey!” Maddy gasped, struggling as Renee’s weight pinned her. Her voice wavered between surprise and indignation. “Seriously?! You’re—ugh—what is your problem—?” Renee’s tirade hit like a battering ram, a furious storm of years, pride, and bitter experience. Maddy’s jaw tightened as the insults landed. She could feel the heat rising in her chest, but it wasn’t fear—no, it was the spark of pure, unfiltered anger. Her mined raced, trying to yank herself free from the bitter veteran.

As management finally made their presence known, Maddy felt the grip release and was thrown to the ground, hitting the floor with a thud that knocked the wind out of her for a second. She lay there, chest heaving, hair falling into her face. The pain stung, but adrenaline surged through her veins, sharp and electrifying. Renee makes her goal clear to them, luckily, both her and Maddy were in agreement. A match was indeed needed against the two of them to settle this.

Maddy stood, fists flexing at her sides, eyes burning with determination as she straightened her posture. She gave one last glance at Renee, who was already storming toward the gorilla, and a sharp thrill ran through her. With a low, controlled breath, she started walking toward the locker room, her steps steady, excitement building. Tonight wasn’t just her first match—it was her debut, and she was going to make it clear why she shouldn’t be taken as lightly as the rest of the rookies.

Theme
Renee would make her entrance first, wrapping the Loserbelt Championship around her waist. She would get a chorus of boos and jeers, along with schadenfreude for being the Loserbelt Champion, as she walked down the ramp and climbed up the steels steps. She would pose aggressively on the ropes before entering the ring and doing the splits in the middle of the ring, flipping the crowd off before standing back up and tossing the belt to the side. Renee was ready to take on Maddy and show her why she shouldn’t mess with a veteran such as herself.

Maddy lingered in the locker room a few more moments, letting the sounds of the crowd and Renee’s entrance filter through the walls. Her chest still burned from the earlier throw, but now that anger had morphed into something sharper—focused, excited energy. She could hear the boos, the laughter, the jeers aimed at Renee, and a small, private smile tugged at her lips. So that’s the Loserbelt champ, huh?

She took a few slow breaths, grounding herself. Showtime, she thought, cracking her neck and rolling her shoulders. The rookie’s grin widened as she step foot onto the ramp, taking in the bright lights and the jeering crowd. Her boots hit the floor with deliberate confidence, steps measured but eager, heart hammering in her chest. Despite her not being well known in places then the UK, she still received cheers and praises, probably cause the audience was ready to see another star in the making Maddy thought to herself.

As she step closer towards the ring and her opponent, she would high-five and blow kisses to the audience before dashing to the ring and rolling underneath the bottom rope. Once she enters the ring successfully, she’ll mock Renee by doing splits as well just without the flipping off everyone in the process. Before getting up from the move, Maddy blows a kiss to Renee staring her down as she gets back onto her feet again. The ref leads Maddy over to her corner of the ring, checking her gear to ensure that this match was all good and fair.

After being cleared by the ref, Maddy would do a few stretches before the bell rings, staring down her opponent and ready to take home a W from the wannabe champ.

Renee would see Maddy come out to the ring with no entrance music. That really triggered Renee since in her veteran mindset, everyone has entrance music. So with Maddy not having any music playing in her background, she would already be calling her a “Punk” in her head.

Renee would then watch her make her entrance as she would be openly mocked by Maddy with her doing the splits, just like her. Renee was also blown away kiss to by the green chipper wrestler as she would flip Maddy off, already having “boomer disgust” by the actions of Maddy. The announcer then came to the ring and announce the wrestlers.

Announcer: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall. And is for the LAW Loserbelt Championship. Introducing the Champion, from St. Paul, MN, the Loserbelt Champion, Renee Steinhauser! Introducing the Challenger, making her LAW Debut, from the United Kingdom, Maddy Morgan!”

The referee held up the Loserbelt Championship and before the bell could ring to begin the match, Renee already jumped the gun and delivered a running knee to Maddy. The referee would call for the bell to begin the match as Renee would already be stomping a mud hole on the British wrestler.

“You think you’re better than everyone else and not having entrance music? That’s fucking wrestling 101! God you’re such a mistake of a signing.”

Renee would then be separated from Maddy by the referee. There, she waited for Maddy to get back up, ready to actually start this match.

Maddy hit the mat hard from Renee’s running knee, the impact jarring her ribs and knocking the wind out of her for a moment. Pain shot through her side, and she gritted her teeth, surprised by the sheer force and aggression of the veteran. Her body recoiled instinctively, but it didn’t break her. Maddy forced herself upright, chest rising and falling rapidly, fists tightening at her sides. Her face, flushed with both pain and adrenaline, carried a grin that was more daring than defeated.

She shook her head, sending her hair swinging back, and glared at Renee with unshakable defiance. “Not bad… for someone stuck carrying that sorry excuse for a belt,” she shot back, her voice steady despite the sting in her side. The referee continued to keep Renee at bay, hands outstretched, and Maddy used the brief moment to get fully back on her feet, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet, ready to finally start this match on her own terms.

RINGGG

The bell finally rings and Maddy’s debut is officially underway! She took a deep breath, narrowed her eyes at the veteran, and stepped into the center of the ring, taking a more calculated stance. Her arms both up with one hesitantly lower, covering her slightly brushed mid section from the knee attack.
