Match Type: Standard
Thunder Ryuko had felt like she had done well in LAW, but not well enough. She was an "almost" woman. She was almost what she was in Wrestle Angels. She was almost a top title contender. She was tired of that label. What better way to show that she was THE woman still than to take on a former Wrestle Angel who she always saw as a top level title contender and apex of the rankings in Chris Morgan?
Ryuko was ready to go. This was a rare outing where she wasn't going to muscle an opponent around. She had overpowered lighter heavyweights before but Chris? Chris was the queen of the power game as far as Ryuko was concerned. She had to be technical, fast and smart. Could she slam around Chris Morgan? Yes. Could she overpower her or beat her in strength vs. strength? No way. Ryuko knew that though and she was going to be at her best looking to prove herself finally to the LAW universe.
Ryuko's music began to play and the Japanese wrestler came out clad in her black swimsuit with red lining and a white dragon emblem on the side. She looked focused as she climbed into the ring and took her place in her corner ready to go. She had to be at her best and she knew it. She was going to give it her all and beat Chris even though Ryuko knew deep down she was something of an underdog in this battle.

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Anticipation swelled as ringside photographers settled into positions they surmised would allow them a prime position to document the monumental return of a Wrestle Angel phenomenon. A titan of the industry and heralded champion whom those within certain wrestling circles surmised had no reason to step back within the squared circle considering her fashion labels financial success and contentious legacy questioning whether or not she'd even be welcomed back by the fandom. However, Chris surmised that bankable names mired in controversy were precisely what federations were looking for when it came to garnering attention towards their product. And for now, she was satisfied playing the role of marquee attraction if it meant making strides in her newfound goal of establishing her name as one whose credibility should never be questioned. All such journeys start with one step, and Chris' first steps were taking towards the curtain once her theme started being played. Figure flattering attire adorned, swishing sway of her flowing locks and aura of indomitable intimidation.
The stalwart physique of the blonde powerhouse taking a commanding stride down the rampway, golden confetti fluttering down from the rafters as she arrived to a decidedly mixed reaction between applause and jeering once the rumors of her supposed return were proven factual. Supreme confidence etched upon her facials and conducting this match with courteous professionalism with steps taken up through the ropes and into the ring. Chris taking a minute to climb atop her own corner turnbuckle and cast her arms wide to the side as with a heavenly spotlight shining down upon her for the final theatrical showcase. The giantess stepping back down and approaching the middle of the ring to converse with an old co-worker of hers. "Ryuko, it's a pleasure to share the ring with you once again. One clause of my contract detailed having suitable contenders as my opponents, and I'm glad to see they adhered to my condition. Your commitment to your wrestling craft always astonished me, and your extensive LAW record proves that you’re still ever the diligent overachiever."

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Ryuko watched Chris come out. She used to think of her as another big gaijin using her size to try to just bully Japanese women. That was far from true and Ryuko knew that Chris was a top level opponent. She was wary but confident that she could win against her. Ryuko was also used to people telling her that her time was up, she wasn't what she used to be, and that she was overhyped. She could handle haters.
When Chris spoke Ryuko was a bit surprised. She nodded to Chris and stepped towards the middle of the ring. "Thanks, same to you. I know what you can do and where you want to get to. I am going to be more than a speed bump though. I will be a roadblock." Ryuko said as she readied herself waiting for that bell to ring. Ryuko knew she had to be smart, and she had to be fast even though both she and Chris seemed equal in that regard even though Chris was much taller. Technique and timing had to be hers and hers alone tonight.

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Although she rightfully considers herself as a paragon within the wrestling industry, Chris had little issue with acknowledging another’s talents and accolades as a fellow competitor. She recognized that worthwhile competition such as Ryuko was one of the main reasons she became a household name and venerated champion in the first place. Besides, what was a conqueror without sprawling lands to amass underneath your rule and fellow warriors to vanquish? And The Phenom was enticed to see one such warrior still possessed the same competitive fires within her eyes. "Hmm, well said. Although if you're aware of what I'm capable of, then you know you'll have to become more than a mere roadblock to weather the storm that is approaching. Good luck than~..." Chris advised with a composed smirk before backpedaling to the chime of the ringbell, a confident gait to her steps as she circled the ring alongside Ryuko until approaching with a grappling stance and attempted lock-up. If accepted, unbound strength would be taken towards ushering Ryuko to the turnbuckle across the ring.

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Ryuko knew she wasn't as strong as Chris Morgan. Ryuko was very strong for a woman of her size and she had overpowered smaller heavyweights before. However this was not going to happen. As soon as they locked up Ryuko pushed but she was the one steadily giving ground. That was fine. Ryuko planned on it happening. She was going to try to disengage and drop, kicking Chris' legs out from underneath her with a drop toe hold sending the bigger woman down to the mat face first to hopefully humble the big bad blonde!

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Even though the match was still well within its infancy, Chris experienced the frenetic adrenaline rush of being back within the thralls of competition. Goosebumps, she believes people abbreviate this feeling as. The Phenom diverting this palpable rush into her attempted lock-up that was only accepted for a split second before Ryuko plummeted to the floor with a seamless drop toe hold that saw Chris teeter into an assured stumble...that she caught with a firm stamp of her other leg. A stunned audience being the backdrop of Chris steadily standing upright to cast a shadow over Ryuko with a serene "Well played~..." uttered before reaching down to snatch her hand upon her adversary’s neck. Steadily hefting Thunder upward at a gradual pace until she was upright and standing before The Phenom once again, but on the receiving end of a thunderous chokeslam with a grip on the side of her attire if uninterrupted...

Well that could not have gone any worse! Ryuko utterly failed to take Chris down and now she was being yanked up, groaning as Chris lift her. Ryuko tried to swing at Chris as she went up doing anytbing she could to feee herself.
Ryuko was easily lift up and went crashing down, laid out and moaning in pain at her opponents feet as she was utterly crushed.

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Chris offered Ryuko credit for almost capsizing the Phenom right off the bat, but one stomped foot and a brief balancing act on that same leg effectively torpedoed those plans with ring quaking repercussions. Sympathetic groans directed towards the splayed out W.A. veteran who Chris began ushering back up to her feet by tugging on her arm and situating her against the ropes. Afterward yanking Ryuko across the ring into an Irish Whip with every intention of swatting her thunderous adversary back down to the canvas in a Big Boot attempt.

Re: Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko
Ryuko was pulled up off the mat and sent running by the big powerhouse. It was not often she got woman handled like this but Chris was a big, strong, sculpted powerhouse who also had technique and smarts. Ryuko's stubborn pride kicked in as she bounced off the ropes though. As she ran at Chris she saw the boot coming and she ducked low, picking up speed as she ran and bounced off the ropes again! This time Ryuko would use the speed and leap right at Chris using her own powerful 161lbs frame to launch herself at Chris looking to use her shoulder as she leapt in the air to smash Chris in the chest!
