Honor Bound Battle: Alizeh Midori vs Emily Nelson

Alizeh let out a soft breath as she prepared herself backstage for her next match. Recently she'd been ramping up her search for matches and opponents, especially after... recent events. Luckily though LAW management was quick and eager to provide such for Alzieh and this was arguably the best possible match they could have presented to her. Emily Nelson. A former wrestle angel, not the first Alizeh would have faced but definitely one of the more unique ones.

Alizeh still remembered watching some of the woman's matches when she was in middle school, and had even adapted some of the woman's suplexing techniques for herself. So needless to say she was excited to get rolling on the mat with her, especially in one of Alizeh's most favored match types. Best of three falls.

"Alright lets dot this." Alizeh said to herself, nodding to herself, and stepping out of the dressing room wearing her new attire. One she debuted at the last ppv, and now her going standard, turning more than a few heads her way as she walked through the halls of the backstage area.

Eventually Alizeh would make it to the entrance curtain, tilting her head down for a moment and taking a few more calming breaths in preparation until the crackling sound effect for lightning resounded around the arena and the heavy riffs of guitar began going right after signalling the start of Alizeh's entrance.

Stepping out from behind the curtain and throwing her hands into the air Alizeh would immediately get a resounding chorus of cheers in response to her arrival. Something that admittedly caused a little bit of a smile to spread across her face as she nodded to herself and began making her way down the ramp, high fiving fans near the front as she did so before hopping onto the apron and turning around to smirk and look out at the crowd for a moment.

Throwing her arm up for one last pose Alizeh would then turn and throw her legs up and essentially vault over the ropes and into the ring. Turning for a moment to drink in the crowds response just a bit longer Alizeh would then head towards her corner and lean forward with her hands on her knees, waiting patiently for her opponent to come down the ramp.

Alizeh Midori. The Emerald Storm. It was a name that Emily had heard quite a lot of ever since she first joined LAW. A former contender for the middleweight title, and now apparently in the running for the openweight, Alizeh was a fan favourite, and after watching some tapes of the girl's matches, Emily could tell why. It wasn't just that Alizeh was a skilled, versatile fighter, though that was certainly part of it. It was also the fact that Alizeh was seemingly unafraid to participate in large, out-of-the-ordinary matches, or to throw down with women in larger weight classes. She had both the skills and fighting spirit of a champion in the making.

And Emily was about to face her in a best of three match.

Strapping on her boots to complete her outfit, and doing a few quick stretches before the brawl to come. Emily exhaled the breath she didn't know she had been holding. No matter how you looked at it, this was a high profile match against a crowd favourite. Matches like these didn't simply fall into your lap, so Emily had to be doing something right to impress the management.

And then, her theme song was playing, and Emily was striding out onto that ramp.

Gratifyingly, Emily was met with a chorus of cheers as she strode into the ring, and despite her usually aloof appearance, she smiled appreciatively at the cheers of the fans. Ahead of her, Alizeh was waiting in the ring, sporting a different getup than she had in the tapes Emily had watched. It seemed Emily wasn't the only one who would be turning heads here tonight.

Sliding gracefully into the ring, Emily took a moment to take a long stretch, briefly showcasing her flexibility for the appreciative crowd, before turning to face her green haired opponent. "Alizeh Midori," she intoned. "I've heard a lot about you, all of it good. I sincerely hope the woman matches the legend tonight."

Alizeh would smile softly upon hearing the tones of her opponent's music finally resound through the arena, alighting a spark that was already going but now burned even brighter, especially as the wrestle angel alumni stepped into the lime light.

Grinning widely at the sight of the woman without realizing it Alizeh would watch with anticipation as she came down the ramp towards the ring, and slid in ever so gracefully, only natural for a woman with a reputation such as hers. Alizeh was about to approach and talk when Emily got up and took a long stretch and well... she'd be lying if she said she didn't take it in fully, thus allowing Emily the chance to be the first to speak.

"Heh, same here Emily Nelson, funnily enough I was about to say the same thing." Alizeh said, already slowly getting into a stance. "But trust me, you won't be disappointed." Alizeh said eagerly, her hands up in a grappling stance, just waiting for the bell ring to signal the ok for the two to throw down.

So far, Alizeh was giving off a very good impression. Other wrestlers would have immediately launched into trash talk, or said something derisive by now. Alizeh, however, remained affable and friendly, even returning Emily's compliment with one of her own. A part of Emily wondered just how well Alizeh knew of her career in Wrestle Angels, but brushed it off. That would be a question for another time.

As Alizeh went into a stance, Emily mirrored it, locking eyes with the greenette. As the bell rang, Emily circled her, raising her hands for a classic tie up. "Shall we?" she asked with a smile, edging closer to her American opponent.

Thus far it was clear the air between Alizeh and Emily was pleasant, the two seeming to have made a good impression on each other as they entered mirrored grappling stances. Eyes locked on each other as Emily invited Alizeh in making her smirk in kind. "With pleasure." She said in response before moving in, locking hands with Emily and pushing against her, seemingly for a test of strength at first. At the last minute however Alizeh would switch to hold one of Emily's hands with both of her own, dropping down twisting as she did so, aiming to try and send Emily over her with an attempted arm drag!

And just like that, they were off. Hands interlocked, the two initiated a classic grapple...a grapple that Alizeh, apparently, had no intention of staying in. At the last second, Alizeh shifted her grip, flipping Emily over her shoulders in an arm drag@

Against a rookie wrestler, that might have left them floored for a bit. Emily, however, responded by clamping her free arm around one of Alizeh's wrists. She still went slamming down onto her butt, but then she was up in a smoother roll, spinning to face Alizeh and pressing a boot against her midsection, using their intertwined arms to drop back and hopefully flip Alizeh onto her back!

Now that the bell had rung and things had officially started between the two Alizeh was quick to make a move against Emily, using an arm drag to send the woman over her and down to the mat. However Emily's was a well deserved reputation as the woman managed to hold onto Alizeh's hand, spinning after landing and placing a foot on the greenette's midsection to send her tumbling over head over heels as well!

"Whoa!" Alizeh yelped as she hit the mat! As she did so however Alizeh would try to pivot on her hips, trying to sit up with the momentum of the throw and get up while still holding onto Emily's hand, twisting it to try and apply a wrist lock on the veteran to get both the high ground as well as limit Emily's ability to move and attack from!

Emily grinned as she managed to counter Alizeh, flipping her onto her back. Alizeh was no rookie, though, and held onto Emily's wrist, In an instant, Alizeh was sitting up, twisting sharply to pull Emily up with her. The Scotswoman winced as she was pulled up to her knees, her arms temporarily immobilized.

Gritting her teeth, Emily nonetheless pushed herself up to her feet and tried to yank Alizeh up with her. If she managed that she would twist around again so they were back to back, before dropping down onto her knees, trying to flip Alizeh over her so that her shoulders were on the mat in a sneaky pin!

Ending up on her knees from the grapple battle with Emily with a wristlock on the older woman Alizeh smiled thinking she was in control, but boy how wrong she was as soon Emily would stand up faster than Alizeh would react, forcing her to her feet as well before turning her and pushing them together back to back before dropping down, pinning Alizeh's shoulders on the mat with a backslide pin! 'Shit!' Alizeh thought to herself as the ref already dropped down to start counting!

"ONE!"

Before it could continue past that however Alizeh would buck her hips and get her legs on the, lifting herself and out of Emily's clutches! Immediately after doing so however Alizeh would move in, grabbing Emily's hips and rolling her towards her a bit before dropping her body on Emily's legs, aiming to fold the woman in half and catch her in a pin fall of Alizeh's own!

Emily smiled despite herself as she caught Alizeh in a sudden pin: while she couldn't see Alizeh's face from this angle, she figured that her opponent looked quite surprised at that moment. Her moment of satisfaction was short lived, however, as Alizeh bucked her hips and flipped forward, righting herself and breaking the pinfall in the nick of time.

And then, suddenly, the tables turned just as quickly; with her grip released, Emily rolled and spun around to face Alizeh, but her opponent was one step ahead of her, grabbing her thigh and flipping her over into a neat matchbook pin! Emily gasped, a little red faced as her legs were folded and her butt was thrown up in an unflattering position.

"ONE!"

Emily didn't sit idly, kicking out in turn and rolling clear of Alizeh. Getting back to her feet, Emily would try to yank for Alizeh's arm and whip her towards the ropes, aiming to catch her with a clothesline on the rebound before she knew what was happening!
