The camera pans into Clarice’s room. The scene is black and white while playing some cliche detective music as Clarice is sitting with her feet kicked up and reading something while smoking a cigarette. She had her hat and coat on as she turned around, looking at the billing of her next opponent. She then spoke.
“LAW executives set up another case for me to settle. A heavyweight named Gloria Star. Quite the patriotic name and patriotic location to be billed in. Washington DC. The capital of the United States. Though I heard through the grapevine she is a California native like me. Just the I-5 away apart. Maybe I’ll swing by the local church later on. Tell ol’ padre about what I’m about to do this woman and beg for forgiveness. Nonetheless, this is a dangerous business. She’s a weight class above me. No matter. I’ve dealt with crooks bigger than me before. Suddenly there was a knock at my door. One of the new producers came by and tell me that they are ready for me to make my entrance for my match against Gloria. Perfect timing. I had her figured out. Best be ready to tussle. Maybe I dodge her or two on some major moves she has will keep her down. That is the strategy I’ll stick with for this match.”
And so Clarice would step out of her locker room office, hat and coat already on as she walked towards the show curtain. Once she was given the green light, she puffed up her leather coat and walked through the show curtain to make her entrance. Clarice Somerset (entrance)

Clarice would appear in front of the cheering Japanese crowd. She would snap her fingers as she slowly walked down the ramp. The camera was still in black and white as she would walk up the steel steps and carefully entered the ring, not wanting her coat to get caught up in the ropes. She then walked to the farthest rope and would remove her coat, folding it neatly, and her hat before setting it down under the bottom turnbuckle she’ll be standing in to start the match. It was time for Sophia's second match at LAW. After a disappointing debut, Sophia stood tall as a statue in her locker room having finished putting her gear on. CRACK!!! The sound that was heard as Sophia stretched out of her limbs and twisted her neck a bit trying to get the kinks out of it and make sure she was ready for her match. "All I want is a good opponent, so please, whoever you are that I'm facing please be a good challenge." Sophia said to herself as she stretched her body out as if she was having a silent prayer hoping to have a good match tonight. Her debut opponent wasn't a bad wrestler more so just not the type of opponent Sophia was wanting to have for her grand debut into the company. After years of making a name of herself winning title after title and only to have an opponent that wasn't on her level just left the blonde feeling empty on the inside. It felt like the company wanted to make her look good rather than giving her an actual challenge. Once she got all the kinks sorted out it was time to make her way down to the ring. "Alright LAW bookers let's see who can I'm facing off against tonight." Gloria said softly as she gulped in anticipation of what type of opponent she was going up against as she made her way to the gorilla.

"AND HER OPPONENT..... COMING ALL THE WAY FROM WASHINGTON DC.....SHE IS AMERICA'S NUMBER ONE SUPERHERO....... STANDING AT 6'2 AND WEIGHING IN AT TWO-HUNDRED AND TEN POUNDS...... GLORIA STAR!!!!!!!!!!
And with that Gloria's theme began to blast through the arena as she came out to the top ramp to much of the applause from the audience. Despite the fear of not having an opponent that would live up to her exceptions, Gloria knew how to hide her concerns from the public as she came out with a bright grin shooting across her face. Gloria stood tall as she had her hands firmed on her hips with her legs out and her cape flowing behind her. For this match Gloria wanted to take a different approach to her entrance then from last time around. Gloria would slowly begin to squat down putt her arms in front of her as her music began to take a dramatic shift and then..... WHOSH! In an instant, the star-spangled gal began to dash the aisle as if she we're a fighter jet holding her hands out to get high fived on both ends before coming to a complete stop in front of the ring. From there Gloria would climb up the steel steps and dust her boots off before climbing on top the turnbuckle where she sat down on. Continuing on, Gloria would pull her arms up to remove the star pins from her cape letting it fall to the side of the ring as she rose up to stand tall on the ropes as she raised an arm in the air pointing towards the ceiling. "No need to fear! GLORIA STAR IS HERE!" Gloria shouted proudly getting the crowd riled up with excitement as she jumped off the turnbuckle to land on the canvas with her fist pounding it for a good old fashioned superhero landing!!!
As she rose the crowd's applause grew even bigger as she smiled and waved before turning to face her opponent. "So you're my opponent, correct?" Show me what you got." Gloria returned to her entrance position having her hands firm on her hips as she shot a challenging smirk to her middleweight opponent. All that needed to be done now was for the bell to ring so these two blondies and square off! Ring attire

Clarice would cover her ears on how loud her opponent’s theme was. It was so loud that it was drowning out the snazzy jazz playing in her head. She couldn’t even monologue in her own head on her opponent, it was that loud. No matter, once she the match begins, it will be all technical work. Clarice would just pace around the ring, waiting for her opponent to enter. Once she was in, she would stand face to face with Gloria as Clarice inspected her larger adversary.
“Aces. But I will let you know that this will just be another day in the office for me. I’ve booked goons bigger than you by myself. So clearly, you’ll be outclassed by Detective Somerset herself.”
Clarice then returned to the turnbuckle in classic style. She would wring her wrists a bit, getting ready for the match to begin. Once the bell rung, it was work mode time. She would stand circle the ring with Gloria. There, she would engage in a bit of chain wrestling, trying to gain the advantage against her. If Gloria was the first to move, Clarice would follow through with her move and go from there. If Clarice was the first to move, Clarice would place Gloria in a headlock and then attempt to transition to a full Nelson hold.
While Gloria was obviously the bigger woman in this match up, that wouldn't stop her from seeing Clarice as a challenge. After all she's spent years in the indie circuit and had lost to middleweights and even lightweights, so naturally she would see Clarice as a challenge despite the size difference. If anything Gloria got even more excited at the process of facing this middleweight detective when it was her time to say her own two cents on this match.
"Oh is that huh?" Gloria's head rose with an excited grin making a point to stop her speech before lowering her head back down and pulled her arms out in a classic boxer type of pose."Then by all means let go!" Gloria added on at the end shifting her voice to a lower tone but still keep a small sense of excitement as her eyes narrowed in sharply on her fellow blonde.
DING DING DING
Once the bell rang both women began to slowly circle each other around the ring keeping focus on each other's movements. "Try this!" Gloria let out as they began to closer to each other, the blonde superhero went to make the first move! It wasn't a punch, a kick or even a lariat but instead Gloria reached out to intertwine her fingers with Clarice for a classic lock up between the two. "Gotta say, you got a nice grip, but can you beat this?" Gloria added on as she went to slowly but surely push her opponent back to the turnbuckle to try and give Clarice little room for a counterattack!
Just as Clarice expected. Gloria would start the match by overpowering Clarice in this chain wrestling and started walking her into the turnbuckle. Clarice would be bending backwards from Gloria holding her in the corner before the referee would be forced to step in a separate the two. The LA Detective would put her hands up as she waited for the referee to allow the two to continue fighting. Clarice was allowed to get out of the corner and would circle the ring with Gloria again.
“Alright. You seem to have some power there. No worries, still gonna take you down. Now I challenge you to a test of strength.”
Clarice would hold her hand up and would wait for Gloria to accept her test of strength. If Gloria were to accept, Clarice would begin the test of strength.
The match had just started and already Gloria was overpowering the smaller blonde, with some audience members not being surprised given the difference in size and weight between the two blondes. However, to the surprise of Gloria she was beginning to bend the poor girl causing the ref to step in and break up the fight. "My bad ref. I'll give her a moment." Without even needing a count, Gloria released Clarice from the lock up and apologized to the referee if she came off too aggressively. Gloria stepped back giving Clarice a chance to breathe and re position herself.
As Gloria backed away, Clarice fired a determined challenge to the blonde superhero. Gloria would perk her eyebrow up staring at her opponent and could tell that even despite the difference in size and weight, she was taking this seriously which made Gloria grow a small smirk of joy as she glazed at her foe."Oh really? Then let's not keep the crowd waiting shall we?" Gloria fired back her own challenging retort as she would put her hands out accepting Clarice's challenge as the two would lock up once again."I just hope you're ready, because I can do this!" Gloria let out as she went to swing Clarice around while keeping her in the lock up so now Gloria would be facing the turnbuckle as she would try to begin to push Clarice back once again to get the upper hand.
Gloria had some strength to her, Clarice can give her that. However, she was now gonna see the overall grit the detective had and how much push she can do when on a case. She would stand her ground against Gloria, not letting her push her into the corner again. However, she realized she can do something cool so she decides to allow Gloria to start shoving her into the corner. To the crowd’s amazement, Clarice would put a foot on the top of the middle turnbuckle before using that push momentum to get a foot up on the top turnbuckle and deliver an acrobatic Salida Del Sol, looking to pin Gloria’s shoulders to the mat.
If Clarice were to succeed in executing the move, Clarice would then call the referee over to start a pin count. Though, Clarice knew it would take a lot more to take down the bigger wrestler so she instantly braced and readied herself for Gloria to raise her shoulders up and break out of the pin. There, Clarice would try to exchange punches with Gloria once her opponent was back up.

Gloria had no issue pushing Clarice back into another corner, however the superhero quickly realized that it seemed almost too easy to push her opponent backwards.It almost felt like something was wrong. ”Whats the problem Clarice? I thought you would challenge me?” Gloria asked with a look of a confusion as she was shoving Clarice into the turnbuckle.
That was before however things were too late. Without even noticing it Clarice was able to hop onto the ropes and push off of them to send the blonde superhero crashing down hard! OMMMPF!!! A loud thud could be heard as Gloria’s body made contact with the canvas as Clarice made short work to go for a pin!

Before the two count could finish, Gloria opened her eyes and knew she couldn’t loose like this as she went to buck her hips to kick out! “Not bad…. You are pretty cle- UGh!” Right before Gloria could finish her compliment, Clarice hit the blonde giant with a mean hook to the stomach causing her to swing her head back.”Alright…. Two can play at this game!” Gloria said gritting her teeth as now both girls were on top of each other sending punches to one another to see who would back off first!
Both Clarice and Gloria exchanged punches to the excitement of the crowd. Gloria could punch good, Clarice can give her that. Eventually, the punches became harder and quicker as the crowd would “ooh” for each blow until Clarice would back away from Gloria to get into a stare off with the larger woman. There, she would secretly compliment Gloria on her strength.
“You do have the strength of those larger goons I’ve taken down, I’ll give you that. But this is only just the beginning. Down the line in this match, I’ll have you pinned and then I’ll book ya in. This detective always gets her case closed.”
Clarice would then taunt Gloria to come at her. She would want all that smoke again and grapple with her. This time, Clarice would try to deliver a body slam to Gloria. But with how early this match is and how heavy her opponent was, it didn’t seem possible for Clarice to pull off the move.
What started off as a wrestling match now looked like a classic MMA fight. Both girls on top of each other sending punches to different parts of their body to try and gain the advantage and to Clarice’s credit she knew how to throw one. ”UGH!” Gloria would groan with each blow Clarice sent her way but had to keep sending punches of her own if she wanted to get her off. Thankfully after a battle of fists it was Gloria who came out on top as Clarice decided to get off of her.
Gloria got up bending forward a bit brushing her hand over her mouth focusing only on Clarice. Gloria did chuckle however when Clarice gave her a moment to compliment her in ring abilities “Well, I’ll be honest you packed quite a punch. But while you might be the ace detective… I am the Star Superhero who fights for justice!” [/b] Gloria smirked as she pulled her arms up to flex her biceps and twerked her hips a bit to a stroke a superhero pose to emphasize her words much to the delight of the audience.
Gloria nod her head at her opponent as she reposition into a classic grappler stance ready to continue the fight. Gloria would aim to press her heels on the mat to spring herself forward but instead of going for a lockup, instead Gloria was aiming to jump forward and pull her arms out to go for a spear straight to Clarice’s chest aiming to take her down!
