The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
The week had come to a close again, and after another week involving more rigorous training. E'isa would be relaxing on a Friday, usually worry-free but lately, she'd be more consumed by her thoughts. She was finding what most would consider success in LAW, yet wasn't sure why she wasn't excited. Lounging on her couch in her hotel, on the road again for another tour, not only was she growing each week, but she was on a streak that no one seemed to have an answer for. The reaction was there, the excitement for her was there, and the hype was there. But it felt like she was still lacking something.
Unable to put her finger on it, interrupted by the sound of her phone going off. Pausing her thoughts to check, it was her manager informing her she had a match tonight. Happy to have something to ease her mind and maybe give her the answers she was looking for. Using the rest of the morning and afternoon to relax and let her muscles rest from training this week. Looking at her phone as the time to set out was approaching. Eyeing the name in her phone with interest.
"Liz Parker? Sounds promising.."
Time flew as she found herself heading out to make her way to the arena. E'isa deciding to take the scenic route before finding herself a block away. It was a calm, cool day. The sun had begun to set, and the arena was beginning to fill up. LAW was in town, and people had finally been allowed in the show set to commence. E'isa pulled around back as she got a view of what looked like another packed show. Parking in her spot before she popped out with her stuff. Looking around at the beautiful scenery before heading to the back entrance. A lot on her mind coming in. So much happening this early into her start. It was a lot to process.
"Am streaking, am red hot, one of the best new things to touch LAW in a while.."
Pausing before the door, still wondering why she wasn't content, most would be ecstatic if they were on this kind of run, but she wasn't. She wasn't satisfied, she wanted something more, and more would be right beyond those doors. She was in action tonight and was ready to keep pushing, booked in a match against Liz Parker. E'isa was a lot of things but the one thing she wasn't was full. Continuing into the arena, ready to do her thing and "X-OUT" whoever was next. A walk that demanded eyes, E'isa came in looking focused, ready, and more importantly hungry. Pausing to talk with some people backstage, including some stagehands. Chatting it up before she had to enter the locker room and get ready.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
Being a nurse at LAW was never exactly an easy job.
It was a sports entertainment company, that came with the job. Fighters get injured, it's quite literally part of the job. Whether those injuries come from getting hit in the course of their duties, making a mistake while training, trying to show off, an ambush, or some overly aggressive match, they all came straight to the L.A.W. medical team. And the L.A.W. medical team in turn took care of the athletes, aiming to make sure that each and every one of them made a full recovery.
It was a job with long hours and lots of stress, but it was a rewarding position - at least, in Hisae's opinion... Well, as long as she wasn't being dragged out to the ring.
But lately, the long hours had become a living HELL.
A slew of injuries from athletes and staff alike had been flooding the medical department and leaving the limited crew of nurses scrambling to keep up with the suddenly increased demand. Hours extended, nurses were being asked to stay on call longer... It was exhausting.
Hisae herself was running off two cans of energy drink and a nap on the lounge couch by the end of her shift, and one thing was clear: something had to change... And she knew one of the people that was going to have to change for that to happen...
She'd checked the match schedules and the incident reports for every injury, made sure she had all the details, and knew for a fact that one of the causes was scheduled for a match right now. She didn't really have a plan, to be honest, but the moment she heard that "Alright, Sano-kun... You're relieved for the day. Try to get some sleep." she made her way backstage. What was she doing, what was she going to say...? Would she even say anything? She really didn't know. She was on autopilot, pushed forwards by a strange desire to at least see the woman that was being such a nuisance to the medical team.
And when she found E'isa... She stood there, looming by the doorway still in her scrubs, glaring over at the woman with the kind of intensity that only came after not sleeping for a week.
'So, that's her...' Hisae thought to herself, eyes narrowing. 'Shorter than I expected...'

Hisae Sano, exhausted nurse

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
E'isa would be enjoying the conversations. Taking in the gossip and chit chat, but something was bothering her. She couldn't put her finger on it, unsure why but she felt uneasy. Taking a moment to get in a deep breath and get back into the conversation.
"Yeah.. haha true true.. "
Trying to stay in the moment, but the uneasiness would come back around. Feeling like she was being watched not by the person she was conversing with but someone else. She felt as though someone had been staring at her. Glaring so deeply they could burn a hole through a piece of paper. Yet her uneasiness would change immediately when she turned to find the culprit. A tall woman with short hair, wearing nursing gear? No longer anxious, now more confused, she'd turn back to the people she had been chatting with.
"Hey, something came up.. Hit me later? Maybe after the show's over, nice chatting though.."
Stepping away from the group, E'isa found herself fixated on the woman who was glaring at her. Wasting no time, she confidently approached the woman, eager to understand the reason behind the hostile glares she had been receiving. Now face to face with the woman, E'isa noted her height but did not perceive her as a legitimate threat. Recognizing her as a member of the nursing team, E'isa held the woman's hard gaze and demanded an answer.
"I know I look good, but you're looking at me kinda crazy. Can I help you with sum?"
Waiting as she crossed her arms. Unintentionally showcasing how built and athletic she was. Her muscles looking like they were flexing even though she was just casually standing there.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
Honestly?
Hisae hadn't actually considered what she'd do if E'isa was the one to approach her. She was so out of it from her workload and sleep deprivation that the thought had never occurred to her, and now that she had the wrestler standing before her, arms crossed, muscles out on display, Hisae looked like a deer in the headlights for a moment. The glare in her eyes faded as they widened, a rising urge to run pulling at her as her gaze flickered over to those impressive biceps.
She shouldn't have done this - she was just a nurse, she-
"YEAH!"
The sudden angry bark even surprised Hisae a little, as though her subconscious had cut through all the fear and hesitation and left her suddenly shouting as her eyes sharpened once more. She was shaking, but whether it was with anger of fear not even she knew. Before she knew it, her hand came up, a finger jabbing at the air in front of E'isa's chest.
"I know this is a rough business, and people are going to get hurt, but whatever THIS is that you're pulling, knock it off!" She snapped, circling her finger in the air. People were probably staring by now, but the little voice in the back of Hisae's head to warn her of such things seemed to be asleep at the moment. "The Medical Team has been stretched thin enough as it is without your little tantrums adding to things!"
Hisae was bristling now, practically snarling out her words through a haze that felt more like a waking dream than reality. What was she even doing? She had half expected that once she started going, the fire inside her would burn itself out after a few words, but it seemed like she was only getting angrier with every passing word.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
E'isa would feel confident. Waiting for her answer, expecting a good reason for the glares. The wicked glares she'd been receiving from this still unknown staff member. Looking her up and down, taking note of her build before she was surprised by a "YEAH!", the loud yell garnering attention from others around.
E'isa surprised by the sudden outburst but still not threatened would refocus on the woman. The nurse would begin to finger-jab the air while explaining herself. Wanting to laugh at her gestures, trying to listen closely so she didn't have to ask her to repeat again. Her match coming up soon, and she wanted to deal with this hastily and then prep.
Yet, upon hearing the reasoning for the stares her expression would change to a more sour, distasteful look. Now understanding why the glares were given, she'd step a bit closer. Wanting to make sure this nurse heard her loud and clear.
"You're coming to me? Because you have to do your job? Did you want an apology? Because you're not getting one.."
Looking the woman dead in the eyes as she'd remember each post-match attack. Grinning, in her mind it was all warranted but she could understand why this nurse was frustrated.
"I understand your frustration.. I do.. But you don't understand what it's like in that ring.. I can put it all on the line and a useless, slow, dense, waste of space official can miss timings, miss crucial calls, misread things. I'm still fairly new and I've had refs almost get me injured.. almost cost me matches.. THEY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE!"
Taking a moment to breathe in and calm her demons.
"And those wrestlers that opt to take the out, milking the ignorant officiating.. DESERVE IT JUST AS MUCH!"
More people backstage now looking from afar wondering if this could get messy. Confused at the start of this but there was clearly tension between these two women. E'isa giving the nurse an ultimatum.
"You seem like a nice lady, I bet the people you work with have nothing but good things to say about you. Plus it takes guts to step up to someone like me, so I am open to giving you a pass. Am gonna forget you came to me with this load of crap. You seem to be oblivious to what goes on in that ring, and I don't blame you. But I will not tolerate your disrespect so this is my one and only warning. I will be in action tonight, and if things go south you will get two, maybe three more visitors tonight guaranteed."
E'isa stepping even closer up leaving only a slight gap between them. Making sure she was as close as she could be.
"If you come to me with this bullshit again, overstep your boundaries again, I will send you home on indefinite leave. Do you understand?"

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
This is where Hisae normally would have stammered, would have run away, or apologized, or wished that she'd never done any of this...
But something about that response just server to piss her off instead.
At first Hisae said something in her native Okinawan; the exact wording might have been lost on anyone not familiar with her particular dialect, but the emotion behind it was clear. As clear as the same anger burning behind her eyes as she locked gazes with E'isa.
But even as she did, there was that little voice, the fashionable college girl deep inside Hisae's head telling her that it wasn't too late to fix this. She could forget about it, walk away, take the peace offering from the tough wrestler and avoid any more time in the ring. Sure, E'isa was wrong about her, but who cared? That was part of the deal working here, and surely all the other employees knew th-
"Oh, BOO-HOO!"
Oh, welp, blew that one.
"You're complaining about me not wanting to do my job, and your big issue is 'oh, the wrestling industry isn't faaaair'?" Hisae demanded, narrowing her eyes as she crossed her arms. "First of all, you must be fairly new, because the only person who thinks they can get in the ring and not get injured, not lose a match is either fresh to the industry, or a complete idiot! Besides, refs make mistakes, wrestlers take advantages, I'm sure you've never broken the rules at all, right? Like, I dunno, attack a ring official. Second of all, I love my job! I like helping people - not that I think you'd understand a damn thing about that! If you get hurt, you come to us, we make sure you recover enough to get back in the ring and live a long, healthy life despite signing up to get hit over the head with folding chairs! I'm not complaining about doing my job, I'm complaining about a child who's response to anything going wrong seems to be to hit whoever she's mad at!"
The hands came up again, this time doing her best impression of a drill sergeant's knife hands as she stabbed one forwards towards E'isa's chest.
"THIRD! You don't know a damn thing about me if you think I've never seen the inside of a ring. And fourth...!"
Hisae had to stop for a moment just to breathe, her brain finally catching up to the angry, burning signals that her lungs were sending as she kept ranting on a single breath of air.
She was just aware enough to notice the people that had stopped to stare at her, mouths agape at the exploding nurse. Was she embarrassing herself? Maybe. But the fashionable college student had been replaced by a sleep deprived nurse who was sick of this shit by now, and there was no tearing the reigns away from her now.
"Fourth, there you go again. Don't like how I talk to you, so you threaten me now, too. Pathetic." Not even Hisae really knew where all this was coming from, but there was no stopping it, no putting the cat back in the bag. Maybe it was all her bottled up emotions bursting free like a river through a weakened dam, or maybe just the pure rage upon being told that she didn't know what it was like in the ring - as though she hadn't been squeezed and slammed in it despite not even being a wrestler.
"You hit me, and you know what'll happen if you get injured next?" She asked, narrowing her eyes as she glared into E'isa's.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
E'isa would wait a moment. Wondering if there would be a response. Although she was confident nothing of the sort would be heard. Only an imbecile, a bucket head, a buffoon would dare challenge what she said. Looking forward to her upcoming match as all she awaited was confirmation or a couple more seconds of silence before she walked away and headed into the locker room but what she got would surprise her yet again.
Hearing a "BOO-HOO" followed by a bunch of nonsense including some jabs at not only her work but her character. Breaking up her folded arms before slamming her hand into the wall nearby.
"You've got quite the mouth on ya.. Look lemme make one thing clear here.. When I step into those ropes I expect a fight.. I am the new hot commodity here.. I understand what it comes with.. But someone who I haven't even seen run the ropes should not speak on what they don't understand.. The fact that you even speak on me potentially needing aid? Do you think I go to you guys after a match injured or not? I don't actually because if I did you'd probably fuck me over worst than the refs do.."
Pointing at her thigh to showcase a black and blue. Along with her shoulder also sporting a relatively fresh bruise on it. Smirking at the ignorance she had just heard.
"I ain't go to you for either of those, the fact that you only just appeared now shows your lack of knowledge. You're coming to me after the fact. After the fact that I went through all that in my debut and every other match that followed. But you're not concerned about me. You're concerned about yourself. You selfish, ignorant, greedy excuse for aid."
A look of disgust and disdain for the woman in front of her. Unsure if it was even worth the time to explain what triggered her in the first place. Feeling this woman only wanted to free up her workload.
"I have had ref after ref.. Make a dog-fight for me out of what should've been a cake-walk.. So if I slip them a receipt after the match WHO CARES!"
Stepping into the woman as she'd bump her back a bit. Starting to feel like she had time to clean up another ignorant member of the staff. Looking like she might elect to put off the prep and just face Liz without it.
"I may seem like a hot head but the fact that I didn't just lay your stupid ass out when I first caught wind of you glaring at me is a miracle.. You know I looked at you and thought maybe you'd understand me.. But based on what you've said to me.. How you sympathize with everyone but me.. I've come to the conclusion that you reek of BS.. You don't seem to wanna actually understand me.. SO I'M DONE TALKING.."
Flexing her right arm, looking like she was ready to potentially do something. Something that would lead to her being called into management immediately after, and possibly suspended for.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
Any other day, Hisae might have flinched.
"Do it!"
But this wasn't any other day. Instead, the nurse glared at E'isa as the wrestler flexed that right arm, eyes narrowed, lips pushed together. She didn't have any time for this nonsense, and if E'isa wanted to solve the problem for her, then she could take a punch or two. Hell, she'd taken far worse before, and as long as she worked at LAW there was always the potential for things to get worse again.
"But even if you hit me, I want you to know something... I'd never treat you differently from any of my other patients, because I'm a fucking professiona-."
CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.
Hisae's thought was abruptly cut off in her throat as the sound of a lone woman clapping cut through the noise.
"Bravo, bravo! Fucking phenomenal performance!"
Slowly, the heads of the crowd turned to face the source of the noise as a lone woman strode forwards, coming in from the direction of the locker room with what could only be described as a shit-eating grin plastered across her face. Lisbeth "Loudmouth Liz" Parker in the flesh, E'isa's opponent for the night and a general nuisance around the promotion.
Hisae couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Just wondering, you gonna save any of that melodrama for the ring, or are we in for a nice snoozefest tonight?" Liz asked as she practically shoved her way past the watching crew, getting right up in the faces of the two arguing women before her. "Oh, fuck, it's you again, What, medical not exciting enough? You trying to get dragged into the ring to get beat up again? You know, do that enough and people are gonna figure you get off on it, little miss masochist."
Hisae's cheeks flared up with embarrassment and rage as Liz talked down to her, the nurse clutching at her elbows and shaking as she glared at the former-boxed, "I- MMRF!"
And got a hand pressed against her lips as a result.
"Not now, nursey, the talent is talking." Liz quipped, rolling her eyes as she looked over at E'isa next. "So, what? One match a night not enough? Trying to pregame a fight? Some kind of adrenaline junkie or some shit?"
"Do it!"

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
E'isa would clench her fist and flex her arm. Ready to do some unpleasant things to this nurse. Wanting to toss her around and smash her face into every corner of the arena. Keen on inflicting punishment in the name of respect. Wanting to instill the word respect into this woman's head, toss by toss, smash by smash, until she couldn't stand and needed to be carted out after.
But before she could finish daydreaming about it. The Endless Devastation, she'd hear clapping? Another new voice would enter the room. It was Liz, her opponent for the night, needlessly inserting herself. Eyeing her up and down, already on edge. Then she'd take in the exchange she had with the nurse. Losing more respect for the nurse than she already had. Allowing herself to be disrespected and even allowing her mouth to be covered. Now, completely disregarding the woman as a threat. In her mind she was just a bitchy nurse that needed to understand her place.
Then she'd hear Liz give a couple of verbal jabs. Not even needing to think, as in her mind Liz was the last one who should ever be talking. Now looking past the nurse as she'd eye Liz and speak.
"Adrenaline Junkie? You're really trying your best, huh? These half ass insults and arguably worst attempts to succeed in the ring."
Stepping up to the woman, as she basically towered over her. No need to flex or ever feint like she was going to swing. Her presence spoke for itself as the size difference was clearly on display.
"I don't see whooping her ass as a match. I see it as taking out the trash, but she doesn't seem to be the only trash around here. One could argue you get tossed around more than she does. The only difference is they always miss the dumpster when they're done with you. Trust me, I won't just take out of trash. I'm gonna bend and break your ego, your spirit. Warp your perception of reality itself and show you firsthand why you don't step in front of a moving train."
Looking back at the nurse.
"And when I'm done with her, I'm gonna send her to you on a stretcher and give you more work. Enjoy that work, enjoy the fact that I'm giving you work.. Because if you step to me again.. It's gonna be the last time you work here for a while.. I PROMISE YOU THAT!"
Bumping into Liz on her way to the locker room, wanting to get ready for her match, over the mindless back-and-forth. Wanting action, wanting an outlet, wanting an answer to her questions from earlier.

Re: The Limitless Loser vs The Endless X, E'isa vs Liz Parker
And yet, even as E'isa responded to her so dismissively, Liz's shit-eating grin never faltered.
If anything, it only grew wider; brighter.
The former-boxer stood, looking up at the larger woman with a certain amusement in her eyes - dissing her insults, insulting her, talking about breaking her spirit...
Yeah right. There was nothing that could break Liz's spirit, nothing strong enough to harm her ego, and E'isa was about to learn that first hand. Besides, why would she waste her good insults outside the ring? It wasn't worth
As Liz's competitor continued to blather on, her free hand slowly started to rise - not moving to punch, but sliding up in a much more insulting way. After it reached Liz's eyeline, suddenly she formed her fingers into a beak and started to flap it. At the same time her eyes went wide, comedically wide, and she started to flap her gums along with E'isa's words as she happily mocked the other wrestler, her disregard and disrespect of E'isa clear for any to see.
All the while, her other arm was flexing, keeping a strong grip upon Hisae's mouth, even as the nurse had started trying to wrench the hand from her face.
And then, E'isa marched off, making a point to bump into Liz on her way off. That same shit-eating grin reappeared on her lips as the other wrestler headed off, only growing wider as she headed off.
"See ya soon!" Liz cheerfully chimed, waving after the other woman... And then, she finally let her muscles relax in her other arm, giving the nurse a chance to wrench her arm away.
"What the FUCK was that!?" The nurse squeaked angrilly, grabbing the former boxer by the shoulder and making her the target of knife hands this time. Her face contorted into an angry glare, her teeth grit. "You had NO right-"
"Nah, but it seemed like fun." Liz shot back, the grin and wink that came with that statement stopping Hisae's words dead in her throat. "Aanyways, I got a match to catch - see you in the medical wing!
"I- Wh- Y- You... You're an asshole!" Hisae shouted after her, fists clenched hard enough to turn her knuckles white. What the hell was with the people here?
"Yeeeeeup!" Came Liz's reply, a certain bird flying free and waving back at the nurse.
---
"AWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEAH!"
This was just too much fun.
Her little argument, the blare of her theme song, the cheers, jeers, laughs, and boos of the crowd... Oh it was all enough to really get the blood pumping. The former-boxer strutted her way through the fog that filled up the ramp's entrance, arms held aloft as pyrotechnics exploded in an arc over her. It was kind of like a big joke, all at her expense...
But if she was laughing along with everyone else, then who was the real loser in that joke?
Her shit-eating grin persisted long after her confrontation with E'isa and Hisae backstage - after all, how could it not? Her opponent seemed to be in quite the mood, and now they were going to fight. If her half-assed attempts to get a rise out of the Endless X had threats of her getting wheeled out of the ring on a stretcher, then what would it look like when Liz actually started trying to get on her opponent's nerves?
One could only guess.
"Entering now-"
"Save it, big guy!" Liz shouted into her own microphone, grinning bright as she interrupted the announcer and strutted down the ramp to the ring below, "Iiiiiiit's yooooour Limitless Loser live on the floor, from Toronto, Canada, Liiiiiizbeeeeeth Paaaaaarker! WHOOOOO~!"
She'd just come up with the nickname on the way down - but it applied, make no doubt about it. There was no end to her losses, and no limit to how cocky she could be in her failure. The only real question left as she slid into the ring was:
Would tonight break the streak, or send her home in a wheelchair?
If anything, it only grew wider; brighter.
