Lexi Sparks vs Genevieve DuPont - Lioness Clash

"Come on Lexi, you got this girl!" Tonight was a big night for Lexi. It would be her first match in front of a crowd and she wanted to make a good impression. She stood just behind the curtains, waiting for her name to be announced as she calmed her nerves.

All she knew was that her opponent was also a young lioness, so she could probably put up a good fight, maybe even win! Her train of thought was broken as she heard her name get called and strolled out into the arena. The crowd wasn't very large, as would be expected of such a low profile match, but to Lexi it was almost overwhelming.

The rookie made her way to the ring and climbed inside, waving to the crowd, thinking that maybe she would have a few fans after tonight. Her nerves seemed to disappear once she got in the ring. This was where she belonged and she was gonna prove it.

Meanwhile, Genevieve was in her own locker room, trying to calm her nerves down. This was her first match in quite possibly a year, maybe 2. Was she still good at wrestling? She was still a Young Lioness but she had to do it. She needed to win for her grandpa. Genevieve took a deep breath before pushing through her locker room door and walking down the hallway towards the show curtain and made her entrance.

Genevieve would wave to the fans as she would then walk down to the ring. She would walk up the steel steps before entering through the ring ropes. She then hopped around inside there before she held out her hand for Lexi Sparks to shake.

« Bonsoir. Je suis Geneviève DuPont. Je serai votre adversaire ce soir. Que ce soit un match équitable et grandiose. »
(“Good evening. I am Genevieve DuPont. I will be your opponent tonight. Let us have a fair and great match.”)

Lexi watched her opponent make her way to the ring. She didn't look too intimidating which helped Lexi stay composed. But one thought stuck in her head. "I hope she's nice..." Lexi was still inexperienced and wasn't sure how she would handle a heel just yet, or if she even could. But her question was answered when Genevieve stuck out her hand.

Lexi reached out to shake her hand and breathed a sigh of relief. She couldn't understand most of what Genevieve was saying, but she could make an educated guess. "Nice to meet you! I'm Lexi Sparks, and uhh... Oui, Let's have a good match!"

Lexi hoped her poor attempt at French hadn't offended her opponent as the ref separated them so that the match could start.

Genevieve smiled as she skipped to her corner. She then stretched on them as she waited for the bell to ring. Once it did, Genevieve would begin the match by going for a test of strength.

If Lexi were to accept the test of strength, Genevieve would try to push Lexi down. There, she would then try to deliver a dropkick to Lexi as she showed off what kind of fighter Lexi is facing in this match.

Lexi met Genevieve's challenge, locking hands and pushing against her. Lexi tried as hard as she could, but the French girl was just slightly stronger than her and managed to force her down to one knee.

As Lexi strained to stand back up, she suddenly felt her hands get released before a pair of boots nailed her in the chest and toppled her over. "GAAH!" Lexi would try to get quickly get back up before Genevieve could take advantage, a little flustered that she had been knocked down so easily.

Genevieve would show off a little of her athleticism as she would then run to the ropes and spring board off them as she would try to hit a moonsault on a standing Lexi. If she succeed, Genevieve would take the time to bow to the clapping crowd.

As soon as Lexi got to her feet, Genevieve was already in the air. It was too late to move out of the way and she got crushed under her opponent's weight. She rolled to the ropes and pulled herself back up to her feet while Genevieve was showing off to the crowd.

"Huh?! Showing off already?" Lexi would then charge forward, sticking her arm out for a clothesline to try and bring the French girl down and remind her that she's not just some jobber.

Even though Genevieve was the granddaughter of one of the greatest French wrestlers in her home town, she still was an amateur. An amateur who will make mistakes most of the time. That mistake would come with Genevieve turning around and being hit with a massive clothesline by a rushing Lexi. Genevieve did a backflip and would fall face first on the mat, holding her face in pain.

Lexi was excited seeing that she had knocked Genevieve down, but she wasn't going to make the same mistake as her. She couldn't celebrate until the match was over. She kept running even after Genevieve was on the mat, rebounding off the ropes and jumping up, looking to hit a leg drop right on top of Genevieve's gut and knock the wind out of her.

Genevieve would turn over as she was immediately hit with a leg drop on her stomach. This would cause Genevieve to curl up in a fetal position as her head and upper body was in pain at the start of this match. Though she tried to get back up but she was in pain.
