Nela Ribeiro vs. Hinata Huerta

Hinata had not been in the ring in a while having taken a small break to enhance her training. She hadn't been bad since coming to LAW but she hadn't lived up to her own expectations either. She was 6-6-0 not great but hardly any kind of standout. She was going to start changing that tonight in the ring against her opponent Nela. Hinata was determined to start showing LAW that she was a winner in the ring not just some mid-level wrestler to take up a roster spot. She was wearing her orange and white attire showing off her figure for everyone to see. She was also very mobile in this outfit and she was ready to send hard, fast strikes at her opponent all match long.

Hinata's music began to play and she came out into the arena. She had a serious, focused look on her face. She just stared forward at the ring and walked over, sliding in underneath the bottom rope and standing up. She raised a fist and nodded before quietly settling into her corner. She was glaring up at the top of the ramp ready to take it to Nela as soon as that bell rang. Hinata was thinking only of her opponent, the match and how to walk out standing tall in victory tonight. Nothing else was on her mind at this moment. The middling Hinata of yesterday was gone. She was going to go out and show the world that she was a force in between the ropes.

Nela, much like she heard about her opponent, did not fight for a while, conflicting schedules made it hard to really get much action going, but all that time, she was eager to finally return to the ring, satisfying herself with training till that day came. Today, her waiting would be over as she was going to go up against Hinata Hureta. She did some reading before the match to know who she was dealing with and could see she definitely had a challenge ahead of her against someone like her, certainly being at a disadvantage in any possible striking exchange, but she trusted her grappling skills would see her through!

After her opponent entered the ring, Nela's own music began to play and she would rush down the ramp, waving to the crowd and doing a cartwheel in the middle of her approach, smoothly continuing towards the apron in a display of her athleticism. Keeping her momentum she'd slide under the ropes, run up to the corner and jump onto the middle turnbuckle, posing for the crowd.

After that was done, she would walk over to the centre of the ring with a wide smile and offered out a hand to her rather dour-looking opponent. "Hiiiiiii! I'm Nela, lovely to meet you! Let's give people a show, alright?

Hinata watched Nela come out to the ring and she bounced around, her eyes never leaving her opponent. As Nela came in and approached her hand extended Hinata stepped up and shook it although she looked every bit as focused. "We will give them a nice clean, hard fight." Hinata said. She didn't show it right now but she was actually beyond happy that Nela appeared to want to fight clean. Hinata had enough of women who cheated their way around a match.

However Hinata stepped back and was ready. Once that bell rang Hinata would step up and swing a few hard kicks to the side of her opponents leg trying to send little stinging kicks while keeping her opponent at a distance... for now.

Nela hoped that her warm greeting would do a bit to liven up Sakura, but the woman seemed to be unmoved, at least outwardly a very picture of focus, though it seemed fitting given her background. Either way, Nela's cheerful demeanour did not fade as she nodded to her opponent and took a step back, awaiting the bell to begin their clash!

DING!

Just as the bell sounded, Hinata was already in motion, leaving Nella little time to react as the first kick struck her thigh, making the whole lower part of her leg feel a bit numb, not to mention the pain. The impact almost took her off her feet, though she'd recover, using that momentum to spin on her other leg, allowing herself to get back and to the side. She was not much of a striker, but she was willing to bet Hinata would not let her close enough for anything else quite yet. So in trying to surprise her opponent with an unorthodox tactic, Nela would dart in, ducking low to put her hands on the ground and throw her leg up and over in an attempt at nailing her opponent with a scorpion kick!

Nela's gamble paid off well as Hinata was not expecting to see that happen! She moved in and the scorpion kick caught her totally off guard finding the mark! "Ugh!" Hinata grunted as she stumbled back! She managed to just barely stay up on her feet but she was hobbled, wobbling about on limp legs. Nela had very clearly made herself a window of opportunity and had the initiative in the match with Hinata now stunned.

It was a huge gamble for Nela to commit to a move like that, an element of surprise was the factor that could make it worthwhile, and she was thankful that it did as she'd otherwise be left in a terrible position. Luckily, she did not have to think about that as the impact made Hinata stumble, creating a perfect opportunity for Nela to get to a plane she was more proficient in.

After the kick, she would dive forward straight into a roll instead of getting up. If she had enough time to do so before her opponent recovered, she'd land behind her, rolling back at an angle and threading one of her legs between hinata's pulling it back across her shin as she'd gat a grip of her other leg with her hands to trip her opponent over on her belly whereupon she'd sit up, still holding onto her leg that she'd use to lock her into a single leg boston crab!

Hinata fell and before she could act her leg was wrapped up in Nela's grip. Hinata felt the pull and jolt of pain as the single leg crap was locked in! She grit her teeth and thrashed about trying to get out by rocking side to side. She knew if she could get Nela off her feet the hold would not be able to be secured. Hinata kept trying to thrust hard to each side hoping that she could just tip her enough to roll her sideways off her base to neutralize the hold which was quite agonizing, the pain quickly mounting!

Nela tried to keep the hold steady and sink it in as deep as it would go, which was easier said than done with her opponent fresh and the woman's grappling know-how. MMA had to teach her to escape more elaborate holds, so once she started to rock Nella from side to side, it was inevitable that she'd succeed. Trying to maintain her balance, Nela would lose her step just in time for another thrust to come in the opposite direction, making her stumble and fall, trying and failing to keep hold of Hinata's leg as she fell to the ground next to the woman.

Hinata knew she was in trouble. She had just managed to escape and couldn't afford to get caught again. Hinata was rising and as soon as she was up she circled a moment. She swung her leg up aiming a mid-kick across Nela's abdomen, then a second and third! Hinata was trying to stun her before stepping up close swinging her fist up into Nela's chin for an uppercut! Hinata was trying to stick to strikes hoping to really use her preferred offense to take it to Nela to help establish herself at the start.

Nela managed to scramble to her feet before Hinata could capitalize on the moment but as soon as she did, she got her midsection slammed with a powerful kick to her midsection, taking a lot of wind out of her and making her stagger back before she got hit again in the exact same spot. One kick was already unpleasant enough, two of them back to back started to feel like she got kicked by a horse and not a human, then came the third and this felt like getting trampled by the aforementioned horse. She was about to double over from the pain inflicted by the kicks when Hinata threw an uppercut to her jaw, sending Nella stumbling back against the ropes and gasping for air!
