The ring was not difficult to find, and at least there had been a path to it that she could reach without people trying to grab at her or anything. A table sat on one side, with a woman Keira assumed was her opponent beside it.

Then she bent down to inspect the drinks and the note. She picked up a glass and sniffed it. Probably not anything alcoholic. Water? "Any idea what this is?" Keira asked.

Collei did not have to wait long for her opponent to arrive, which was nice, considering the heat of the beach was slowly but surely warming up her feet. Thankfully the fight would fix that somewhat.

Her purple eyes opened wide and her posture straightened as her black and purple haired opponent arrived, and she greeted her with a smile and an open hand, a gesture to show that she wasn't anybody threatening. The sounds of the ocean splashing in and out was somewhat loud, but thankfully was not close to the ring itself, lest the match suddenly take place in quicksand, a much more dangerous idea.

"Hello there!" Collei replied in an equally warm tone, keeping her smile on her face as she greeted her opponent. "Ahaha, as long as we have fun and give it our all, I am satisfied! I am Collei, a Young Lioness!" She said with vigor, truly living up to her name of an Enigma.

She watched intently as the woman closely inspected the liquid, as well as the note that accompanied it. When she turned around to ask Collei what it was, Collei could only shrug her shoulders, matching Keira's confused expression.

"I am honestly not sure. It looks like just water from first impressions, but something about it gives me the willies. Regardless, we were told to drink it when we both arrived, so we should honour that request, right?" Collei replied, walking back to the table and picking up one of the glasses, holding it up as the crowd watched eagerly, knowing all too well what was in those glasses.

"If they're provided free, it would be rude not to drink them, wouldn't it?" Keira laughed. She held her glass up in a mock toast. "Bottom's up!"

Keira chugged it, downing her entire glass in just a few seconds, with the assumption that there wouldn't be time to pause and sip at it during their match. Doing so elicited a few cheers and claps from their audience for some reason, but Keira paid them no mind. It didn't have any taste, at least not one that she could pick up on. "Well, I've tasted worse. At least this wasn't sticky," she said with a shrug, putting down her empty glass. With that done, she turned back to her enthusiastic opponent with a smile. Collei raised her glass too, joining in with the toast as they both drank the liquid simultaneously. It had no taste at all, making Collei think it truly must have been just luke warm water. She turned to her opponent, who seemed unaffected, just like her.

"I dont know why, but something doesn't feel quite right." Collei said as she listened to the raucous cheers that the audience had erupted into. She couldn't exactly put her finger on what though.

Regardless, she turned back to her opponent who held out her hand and asked her if she was a part of the young lionesses. "Why yes, I am! That shouldn't mean you can take it easy on me, I can still fight!" Collei said, accepting the handshake before heading to the ring, slipping through the ropes and heading to her corner, doing sone light stretches and adjusting her bikini before the bell sounds.

It really had been a shame that whatever they'd drank hadn't been alcoholic. Collei had said something felt wrong, and Keira... well, she thought it was odd, to be sure. Why leave water out for them, knowing it wouldn't even be cold by the time the fighters drank it? But it's not like they accepted the drinks from randos in the crowd, so Keira just shrugged and moved on. That crowd had come alive, and considering what was to follow, they had good reason!

After a few moments, in which the fighters prepared and adjusted themselves, the bell sounded, loud and clear over the cheering audience and roaring ocean. Keira was eager to dig in, but she knew she'd need to wear down, or at least trap, Collei first - they wouldn't be scoring any easy points this early on. She was also curious how effective the trainee program was, having bypassed it herself. Her green-haired opponent sounded confident in her ability to defend herself.

So Keira began to circle, looking for an opening to lunge while deciding whether to go high or low. She was particularly feeling energetic today, and decided she wanted to try to make the first move. When she finally charged, she ended up aiming for somewhere in the middle, trying to send a shoulder into Collei's gut instead of targeting her chest or legs. Maybe, if she hit hard enough, she'd tackle the other girl to the ground. If not, it would at least leave her winded and open for some kind of follow-up... Assuming Keira connected, of course!
