Entering the Wild: Faith Watterson vs Dawn Wilder

Taking a deep breath as she meditated backstage Faith did everything she could to remain calm and focused for the night ahead of her. After all this was her big debut night for LAW. A part of her felt that this was a mistake, that she was just gonna make a fool of herself, she only had about twenty or so matches under her belt that were in front of hundreds of people at best, yet here she was about to debut in front of thousands for the premier wrestling circuit. As that nagging voice dug into her though another chipped in saying she deserved it, that she had the talent and the skill to be here, otherwise she wouldn't have gotten the offer. As if sensing the conflicting thoughts though a third voice would break the stalemate.

"Nervous? Don't be you'll do great." Opening her eyes and looking up Faith would smile at the sight of Aella, the green haired woman always acting as a voice of reason when Faith wasn't, which while rare was much appreciated. "Hehe, well not all of us can have you're level of confidence." Faith shot back with a smile before getting off the bench she had been sitting on and hugging her friend before pulling back and getting flicked by Aella playfully as she chuckled. "Please, technically speaking you've performed in front of a bigger crowd than almost anyone here, so trust in your training and you've got this... well probably, after all you're going against one of MY students." Aella said with a little bit of smugness in her voice while Faith just chuckled.

Really she couldn't ask for a better friend to help her make this next step. Not just cause of Aella's experience and pull to help, but the banter and how she relaxed her it was truly invaluable. "Just be sure to stay impartial now, or maybe you'll be who I go against next." Faith said playfully as she stood up, rolling her shoulders and looking far more confident now then before as Aella nodded with a chuckle. "Luckily for both of you I'll be on commentary so no worries..." She said before moving to exit the locker room, only looking over her shoulder to smile at her friend again. "Don't tempt me with a good time though, see you out there." Aella said before leaving, heading out into the arena to cheers so she could join commentary.

Sufficiently calmed down and even excited now Faith followed after her friend, ready to get things going for herself tonight. This was her debut and she was going to make the most of it. Walking thought the halls until she mad it to guerilla it would only take a moment before her entrance music began and she came out, smiling at the crowd to a mild reception, but bigger than most debuting women, guess they at least knew her name from her prior fame. Approaching the ring with a pep in hr step Faith would get on the apron and drop down n a perfect split, earning a little boost in cheers before she entered the ring and got to her feet, smiling still as she approached the corner, Faith would turn and look up at the entrance ramp, waiting for her opponent to come down.

Despite being immersed in the profession for half a decade, for a majority the nature lover still felt like a rookie, pondering if this was really her new roots or a phase. Only after a fateful encounter with her new teacher turned Dawn attune to scouring the entire wrestling world. A new attire and an important victory against a rather notorious opponent followed, freeing from this cocoon of a 'casual performer'. Tonight would have been a typical match, but she had more incentive to raise the bar with a particular observer on the sidelines, almost like an examination. Other circumstances left her even more Inquisitive. A long companion of her teacher. One with a mature appearance but youthful in their domain, but even if this was a typical hulking veteran, she would be ready to sink her jaws deep. Ironically, she had to rely on her own faith and understanding to see who will prevail and that mutual connection won't lead towards spite. After a peaceful meditation, she approached her station in little time.

The lightweight's thememusic began to play and the crowd were already electrified just as Dawn made her appearance one second later. A recent victory against Alizeh remained fresh in their eyes, so this potential superstar was already showered with praise, although the blonde scanned the stands for a rather specific face before just resuming with her entrance. Smiling brightly as she proceeded to simply skip along the aisle, a modest performance until she hopped onto the apron. Turning away from her opponent to admire the lights once again, a graceful backflip followed by the proud Canadian landing perfectly on her feet, resulting in a further pop from in the stands.

"Greetings Faith. I wonder if it is really a coincidence, we have been drawn together, considering who is observing us right now..." The enigmatic woman still had her back turned as she greeted the fellow fighter in teasing fashion.

Faith looked up after hearing the theme music of her opponent and smiled slightly upon seeing the fellow blonde come down the ramp towards the ring to a rather favorable reaction. From what Faith understood she had recently just gotten a win over her friend's daughter Alizeh, an impressive feat and surely one that made her a daunting first opponent for the older woman. Not that she was trying to let such thoughts intimidate her too much, no instead she wanted to make a strong impression and there was no better opportunity to do so than Dawn.

From the commentator booth, after giving her input on how this match could go Aella would her hand up to get Dawn's attention and wave at her before winking and blow a kiss at her girlfriend's way. Sitting back to take in and enjoy the match it would come to Faith as Dawn approached and greeting her, making the older woman smile warmly at the girl.

"Hello Dawn! Lovely to meet you, Aella has talked so much about you!" She said warmly while reaching out to shake her opponent's hand. "And no it likely isn't, but I rather like my lot right now." She said with a playful smile before raising her fists, ready to throw down with her opponent the moment the bell rang!

Taking into account her victory against Alizeh and temperament at the time, a few expected Dawn to stray away from her whimsical demeanour, especially with a mutual branch once again. Although it might take more than one thorn to tilt the lightweight's temperament, especially since her lover in the stands kept Dawn's warm spirits renewed, trusting that the only concern is if her ambitions were gold were bested by a stronger will. The flush of her cheeks and a wink acted as a signal that she was elated by Aella's gesture.

"I have heard a few of your tales as well, but were a few as earthy as mine?" Accepting the act of sportsmanship by shaking Faith's hand. "And I am sure it will be a battle not grudge to remember!" Promising to give this bout her all, but nothing underhanded for both veterans sake. As soon as the gong sounded, the moonchild immediately pursued. Only wanting to lock-up for a second at most before trying to hurl her opponent into the ropes. If this worked, she would hope to cause some early disruption and take the incoming Faith's arm to toss her side for an arm drag!

There was something... reassuring about the fact that Aella was here to watch Faith's first match in such a stage as LAW. Even if she was also supporting her opponent but if anything Faith also kinda liked that it gave her and Dawn something in common, making this feel just a touch more familiar to her.

Smiling softly as she locked up with Dawn the blonde girl would turn sharply, pulling Faith along and into the ropes with a Irish whip! Getting pulled along Faith would turn and make impact with the ropes, rebounding back towards Dawn, but not intending to follow through with what the girl wanted Faith would instead leap up and extend her legs out, trying to meet Dawn with a dropkick to send the girl sprawling!

Will she be a worthy rival or partner down the line? Dawn was going to guide her own fate as a renowned wrestler knowing who was literally behind her. For now it would take until a spectacle before she gazed at her lover again.

The match already went off to a fast paced start. Having successfully misdirected her opponent and forcing them to bounce across the ropes, Dawn crouched down ready to send the mature fighter crashing by using their momentum. However Faith's instinct outpaced Dawn's own as the nature lover took a sharp dropkick to the chest. "Ahhhhh!" Dropping onto her butt, Dawn was left paralysed by the early counter, too preoccupied by nursing her sunken chest.

Being pulled away and into the ropes by her opponent Faith had admittedly been caught off guard, but not to the point that she would stumble this easily in the match and as such she responded out of the gate with a dropkick! Managing to land the blow Faith would land on her shoulders before immediately kipping back up to her feet! Turning immediately after and striking a quick pose for the crowd Faith would then perform a quick back flip, trying to soar backwards through the air to try and land a standing moon sault on Dawn immediately after to try and keep up the pressure on the younger woman!

Due to the sharp pain in her sunken chest, Dawn couldn't hold herself upright for long and simply laid back. Defaulting to the idea that her opponent was quite swift as well, she barely glimpsed Faith's pose and then saw danger literally loomed above her. Since this wasn't a time to grovel further, she desperately tried to roll out of harm's way, so the moonsault would backfire and harm Faith instead. If this succeeded where Dawn knelt beside her prone opponent, she immediately went on the prowl and crawled on top of Faith's back, trying to grab the older wrestler's wrist and twist it upwards for shoulder pressure through a hammer lock!

Feeling like she was in a good position to continue things Faith would turn around and take a deep breath before leaping backwards, aiming to go for a standing moonsault... Only to be met with nothing but mat as Dawn rolled away! "Ngh... Groaning in pain it wouldn't be made any easier for her as the blonde girl got on top of her and pulled her arm back for a hammer lock! "Agh!" Faith yelped out in pain, kicking her legs against the mat and sucking a breath in as she tried to think of a way out, but for now she was stuck underneath the younger girl!

In the nick of time, she managed to avoid a flattening due to the standing moonsault. Capitalising on Faith's own wounded state, Dawn tried to keep her opponent bound to the mat through a quick submission hold. Pressing down to keep Faith buried in the mat, she had to always remain a step ahead. While their bodies were parallel, Dawn kept the hammerlock applied with just her left hand. In a bid to gain more leverage, she tried to slip her free right arm underneath Faith's far shoulder, so now both hands can apply pressure while Faith is knotted up!
