Ivy Aster vs Haru Matsuno: More Than a Movie

In the LAW backstage area, Ivy Aster could be found contemplating in the moments before she would be announced for her next match, It's honestly astounding how nothing more than simple familiarity can make one's response to a given situation so completely different. Why only a handful of matches ago, the position I'm in now had me utterly quivering with trepidation.

Nowadays, Ivy's pre-match thoughts were much more focused. Aside from the apparent occasional foray into pondering the human condition, the Englishwoman's mind was concentrated on her opponent: Haru Matsuno. Ivy had limited footage from which to scout the pinkette, but what was very obvious was that she loved her hero gimmick, even to the point of it being detrimental in a fight. The kind of fighter who likes to strike a heroic pose or pull a one liner after landing a move when they should be following up.

As Ivy made her entrance, the thought crossed her mind that Haru may try to paint her as some sort of villain to boost her heroine image. An evil enchantress, an ice-hearted witch, or some other persona thought of on the spot. The thought then left Ivy's mind as she realized that she didn't care. She would neither reject nor play into any character shenanigans that Haru may employ. Ivy would just wrestle.

Despite her limited experience, Haru was eager to put on quite a show for the crowd today. She really wanted to start gaining some fans! "Allllright. Time to put on a performance they won't forget!" The pinkette said to herself backstage. Already bouncing on her toes, she didn't really need any more hyping up. But that had never stopped her before. After quite a bit of hyper movement though, she needed to fix her leotard that was now riding up. "Ahh gotta adjust! Well...I guess the crowd doesn't really care." She mumbled to herself. After making sure everything was straightened out, all that was left was to wait for the announcer.

"Looking to make a name for herself, we have LAW's very own hopeful heroine, Haru Matsuno!!"

The moment Haru heard her name, she burst from backstage! The happy heroine waved to the cheering crowd while making her way to the ring. Haru hopped right over the ropes and quickly snatched the microphone out of the referee's hands. "Haru here, primed to deliver some grade A butt kicking for you all!" Haru punctuated her declaration by sticking out her tongue and flashing a quick wink. "So hope you're ready for some swift justice~" She added, pointing right at Ivy.

Ivy had a general idea of what was going to come out from back stage when her opponent's name was called, and indeed, Haru Matsuno did seem to be roughly what Ivy had been expecting. Playful, high energy, just generally really bubbly and bright overall. A sharp contrast from the cool, quiet, and pale that made up Ivy's appearance and demeanor.

As for Ivy's other assumption, Haru didn't explicitly call her out as a villainess... yet. However she did catch onto the implication of the heroine proclaiming that the purplette would receive justice. ivy supposed that she could indulge Haru for a moment, before the bell rang,"Receive justice you say? For what crime? Perhaps after this match, I'll have to file suit for attempted false imprisonment." Or at least indulge Haru insomuch as Ivy's sardonic banter actually counted as indulging.

"Awww come on...give me something to work with..." Haru mumbled. She was admittedly a bit disappointed Ivy wasn't playing the part better. But it wasn't as if they were under any obligation to do so or had discussed it beforehand. There was a brief pause while Haru conspicuously tried to figure out how best to respond. She was much more used to being a scripted actor than an improv performer.

"You know what you did!" The pinkette loudly shot back at her foe. Opting to drop the subject before she actually had to think of anything, Haru took a step back and tossed the microphone back to the referee. Now stood with a hand on her hips and a confident smile on her face, she was ready for a fight. It wasn't long before the bell rang and it was time to rumble! "Aaaand action~." She mumbled to herself.

The second the bell rang, Haru was charging forward! The plucky pinkette would aim a swift elbow right to Ivy's chest for a quick impact!

Ivy raised a hand up to her chuckling face after watching Haru attempt to respond to the Englishwoman's less than cooperative straight woman act. Perhaps bantering can be rather enjoyable, this is quite fun, Ivy thought in the moments before the bell would ring. But the purplette was no less ready to lock in and fight once that magic sound rag out.

An aggressive fighter herself, Ivy would charge to the center of the ring the same as Haru. The heroine would aim at Ivy's chest, but with how the Englishwoman was about to move, her chest wouldn't be there for long. Ivy would leap up, driving her knee forward and crashing it into the pinkette's lower lip. Haru's elbow was left with nothing to hit but the long legs of her opponent as they flew through the air.

When Ivy rose, she had struck forward with a knee. Then on her descent, the Englishwoman leaned back and reached her legs out, wrapping them around Haru's waist. Turning her body. Ivy would twist her legs down towards the mat to forcefully pull the pinkette to the floor. Once Ivy had Haru between her mighty thighs, she would begin squeezing her with a Bodyscissors.

Thinking she was about to get off to a strong start, Haru charged forward. But the next thing she knew, Ivy's knee smashed right into her face! "Gughhhh!!!" The pinkette groaned, stumbling back a step as she was nearly knocked senseless right at the start of the match. Haru had no idea what was happening after that. She just felt everything being turned around and pulled about until finally she hit the floor. "Oooffff..." She huffed.

For a few moments, the room was still spinning around her. It was only when Ivy began to really squeeze her, that Haru was brought back to reality. "Hhnnnng!!" She groaned as she felt her waist caving in. "H-heck..." Haru whimpered while she began to squirm in Ivy's grasp. She could feel Ivy's grip getting tighter by the second, now making it a bit harder to breath. Her hips began to buck while she twisted her body from side to side. "Let...go..." The heroine groaned, prying at her opponent's thighs in an attempt to loosen the hold. She just needed a little space before she could slip free.

Ivy's plan worked to perfection. Her knee collided with Haru's face as the heroine's own attack whiffed. She shifted from strike to squeeze seamlessly as she wrapped her legs around the pinkette, then landed soundly and began her Bodyscissor. An aerial exhibition to set up a dominant ground game, it'll be known as classic Ivy once the Brit has been around long enough.

"Oh please tell me you aren't seriously done for already after all that talk?" Ivy said once Haru began to squirm and whimper, even pleading for the purplette to let her go. "And with such ease too. You really aren't much of a heroine if doing you in is this simple, are you?" Ivy wasn't even playing into her assigned villain role on purpose, Haru was just making it that easy.

Haru already had low odds of prying Ivy's thighs loose, and then once the Englishwoman was able to settle herself on the ground, she tightened her leg's grip further and cut of any chance that Haru may have had. "Perhaps you have a more heroic means of attempting escape than thrashing and squirming?" Ivy asked. "or if not more heroic, at least more effective."

The match had barely started and already Haru was in trouble. She felt like her torso was about to just cave in as Ivy squeezed her tight. Haru had admittedly started to panic as was clear from her flailing and bucking. Everyone had a plan until they were crushed between thighs. The taunting and teasing weren't making it any easier to focus on thinking up a plan. "Nnnng I'm...plenty of heroine!! And got plenty...ahhh!" Haru mumbled before letting out a pained squeak.

A few painful moments passed before Haru was able to gather her thoughts. Clearly prying Ivy off of her wasn't going to work. Instead she raised an arm and drive an elbow down into their thigh. "How...about...THIS then?" She cried out, quickly following up with another elbow to their leg. She wasn't sure that would be enough to make Ivy let go, but the hope was the the hold would at least loosen enough for the heroine to maneuver. her plan was to wriggle free and catch Ivy by the foot. If that worked, Haru would rise to her knees and try to slap on a quick but painful ankle lock.

"Hmm, perhaps I can squeeze your supposed heroics out of you if I press harder," Ivy said as she upped the intensity of her Bodyscissor. It was around this point that Haru managed to try something that wasn't helpless floundering. The pinkette threw her elbow down into Ivy's leg, trying to make the Englishwoman let go on her own.

"Urgh," Ivy hissed as Haru's elbow buried itself into her thigh. The rather frail wrestler was grateful that the heroine had targeted the thick, meaty part of her leg rather than something like her shin. As a result, Ivy was able to hold onto her Scissor, but she also knew that she'd have to do something about Haru's escape attempt before the hits built up.

But Haru only went for one elbow before trying to wiggle loose again, making enduring the counterattack far easier for Ivy than if the heroine had tried to go for multiple strikes. In response, the purplette sat up and would try to grab Haru's arm, then shift her legs from around the heroine's waist to around that same arm. If Ivy succeeded, then she would lay back down and lock Haru into a painful Armbar.

With Ivy squeezing even harder, Haru was starting to really fear that they would squeeze the heroics right out of her. Luckily, two elbows to the thigh persuaded Ivy to loosen up the hold enough for Haru to actually take a breath. "Guughh!" She gasp, taking in as much air as she could. As soon as she caught her breath, it was time to turn this match around! Or at least that's what she thought at first. Ivy didn't have the same plan though.

With her opponent opting to maneuver her into a different hold, Haru only had a few brief moments to make a move. When Ivy sat up and grabbed her arm, Haru could guess what they were going for. She would pull her arm back to tug them towards her. She made sure to lean forward a bit, using her free hand to press down on Ivy's leg so she couldn't use it to wrap around the heroine.

"Gotcha!" Haru finally exclaimed when she got Ivy close. Wrapping an arm around their neck, she suddenly twisted around and would pull her opponent to the canvas. Hoping to wear them down, she would press down and shove Ivy's cheek against the ground as she tried to constrict her arm further.
