Punch, and miss, punch and miss. Step by step, and dodge after dodge, the two skillful opponents looked more like dance partners than enemies. One step forwards, and one step back was the nature of their dance. Moving to a tempo made by the other's advance. But, like all music, there must always come a rest. So when Reima notched back her arm for one more meeting with air, the conqueror decided to switch things up.
Right as she saw Edith's pink hair Bob out if sight, Reina's arms snapped and coiled themselves right around the gem's head. Squeezing and flexing as Reina grounded her close to her impressive chest. After all, this match was about endurance, and for an opponent like Edith, she needed to wring dry any speck of resistance from the professional in her arms.
Though, as she tightened her grip and twisted her hips, the ebony woman didn't feel any struggle, not even a shift or frantic hand. But just when the conqueror was at the height of her confusion, she felt Edith's answer! Whipping around like a leaf in the wind, Reina felt the silly hair of Edith slip from her grasp, as soon enough, she felt a pair of arms snake around her head just as she had done.
"Tsk...clever." Reina growled, feeling Edith's embrace drape over her, weighing her down bit by bit. This was bad, not disastrous yet, but any energy lost was not the move. She had to escape soon, she couldn't risk letting this go on any longer. So, in an almost loving embrace, Reina's arm wrapped itself along Edith's waist as Reina would attempt to hoist her up and give her a plunging backdrop as a counter.
If it was successful, Reina would attempt to show off a bit against her opponent. Both to one, show off her skill, and two, to force Edith to use more energy. So, if the slam took off, Reina would use her momentum to flip herself back and give the hidden gem the first pin attempt in the match.
"But not clever enough." Reina teased.
