It amused Elle. She had spent plenty of matches so far, plenty of opportunities given to her by LAW to show off her stuff and get a crowd fawning over her, yet tonight would be the first time she actually set foot in the arena in front of the LAW crowd proper.
And she loved it. As soon as First Light hit the arena speakers, her heart swelled. Years wrestling in front of sixty to a hundred people, and she had made the jump to the tens of thousands. They could have intimidated her, but that would have taken all the fun out of the night. She stared out at them from the gorilla position instead, their camera flashes filling her green eyes with sparkles as her graphics flashed across the screens to properly introduce her to the crowd. She couldn't describe the rush.
Tonight required her to be serious too though. While Elle wouldn't allow the crowd to intimidate her, she could get at least a little intimidated by this heavyweight, Isa, they intended her to wrestle. Big, beautiful, fit, blonde. Just a few pictures had the Californian smitten with her. As the people backstage gave her the cue to step onto the stage, Elle realized she couldn't exactly stay smitten and have a chance.
Spoiler
She drowned the crowd in her own adoration once she reached the ring, popping a hip, blowing a kiss, and ultimately taking to the top of the turnbuckle so she could wave at them and blow that many more kisses their way. As her own music began to peter into silence, the flower girl, after finding one last hard camera to smile into (she knew the marketing game!), perched up on the top rope to watch for Isa's entrance, swinging the tail of her braid in one hand to occupy her nerves.
