The Lioness and the Vixen: Leona vs Hitomi

Although Hitomi has not had the best of luck since joining LAW, she was not going to let it get her down. She would keep pushing forward, despite the odds against her.

She had heard about her next opponent, Leona, just recently. So she didn't get enough time to properly study her. Still, she was determined to win this, one way or another.

The Japanese wrestler would be suffering from the same short information fog that greets the rest of her faction when it comes to knowing more about her opponents—that was good, very good. It meant that she was being treated in the same way as the rest of the stable and that she was becoming more and more a part of it, even if she didn't share the nationality of the greater part—but that didn't take away her anxieties and nervousness at not knowing what she would encounter in the ring.

In her last match she even knew beforehand the name of her opponent and more details that brightened her week when she met Aiden in the ring—her favorite opponent by far in her young career—this time on the other hand, she was only told that she will be an animal-themed girl and that she answers to the name of Hitomi. That didn't help in dampening the questions.

However, this is the way most parties worked with her faction and, perhaps, it was also the law's way of dealing with the newcomers, so the faster she digested it, the easier it would be for her to move on.

Leona made her presentation very simple when it was her turn to enter the arena, she didn't want to show off in vain, if she learned something, is that it could be a very bad omen for her matches, and this time she wore that simple one-piece outfit with her characteristic Fu mask as she felt more comfortable with it while she advanced with a firm step through the top ramp and towards the ring, waving to the spectators on either side of the rail on her way before taking the ring steps and crossing the middle ropes into the ring, where the Japanese crossed her eyes with the corner where Hitomi was reclining.

She didn't know whether to smile at her or wink at her, neither of which seemed like something befitting her alter ego, so... She just waited for the referee to call them both to meet in the ring and wait for the sound of the bell to challenge her to a necklace-and-elbow.

"Hitomi?" It was obvious that she was that one, but I didn't know how to strike up a conversation without involving exercise routines, extra classes, or cake recipes with someone else within this realm. "I guess... You do have a nice gear. Did you design it?"

Hitomi looked down at her attire. "Mm hmm. Went with my fox motif, I felt." she replied, striking a pose.

"You like it? I have several other attires as well. One of them also comes with a mask. Had I known I would be facing a masked wrestler, I would have brought mine."

Leona took some space here to let Yusure out against this girl.

"Yes? That would have been exciting." Her eyes sparkled. "... But I think it would be a crime to hide your face and freckles with anything." Truth be told, Hitomi's entire body was showing off in every way with the little clothing she wore, her tanned tone, her hair groomed in that ponytail, and the design of her lively eyes.

However, quickly the pub rep was petrified as she put her fingertips to her lips while taking in what she had just said to her opposite - had she just given her a compliment?

She herself would almost blush at her own boldness but would try to correct her mistake by taking the stance to invite her into a collar-and-elbow hold again while looking at the mat. "..."

"Thanks. But flattery will get you nowhere." Hitomi said before getting into an offensive stance, accepting her challenge.

The two lovked up in the center of the ring.

"Yes? Well thank you very much for the hint." The luchadora would put all her stubbornness into not backing up or moving forward as she transferred all her concentration into pulling down on the other's neck and pushing up on that tan elbow. Her only footwork was to orbit around the center of the ring to keep Hitomi's feet occupied with something other than escaping. "But it's not flattery if I want to hit you." She joked.

She had only one goal with this whole dance: to look for the opening in the fox to crouch down and drape Hitomi's arm over her shoulder so she could cross her own arms around her neck to work on a takedown by throwing all of her weight into the vixen.

Hitomi was nearly brought down to a crouch, but she fought it and pushed against her harder, gritting her teeth.

Leona had had a very good strategy, but in execution her opponent was not so amateurish as to not know how to block that takedown attempt, Leona had been left not knowing what to do after that failure and even, recoiled hopelessly when Hitomi pushed her back, but the pub rep was not going to break this hold so easily, she was prouder than she looks with that mask on than many believe..."Tch!"

Although the luchadora would manage to anchor her feet to the ground and resist, she was a foot away from her back being against the ropes—that was good because she would apply the rope break if she touched them, but that was not a worthy way to break this hold. Leona had to try harder if she really wanted to do well as a hunter here, she had to what. So, she would push back as she pulled Hitomi's neck down to bring herself closer to hers ear. If only she could get that far.

"... I'm so sorry." this would be said by the student under the mask and not the wrestler herself, before moving forward with step two: trying to cross one of her legs between the vixen's for then turn herself to put her against the ropes. If Leona managed that, would it be a good precedent for the match?

Hitomi was so focused on pushing her back that she wasn't paying attention to her crossing her leg between her own.

Leona had to pull back a boot to get what she wanted, taking advantage of Hitomi pushing as if she wanted to slam her into the ropes to get one of her feet forward to wrap around one of the vixen's legs, and before the bronzed wrestler could interpret what she was planning, Leona would spin backward, pulling the vixen's elbow while pushing her head to the side to throw her into the ropes.

"Hah, Check!" Declared the masked woman! The referee was about to give the order to release for the rope routine, but the huntress would push with her whole body into the vixen's to stretch the ropes. "I hope you don't trip," she bluffed and then pulled on one of hers arms to throw her across the ring—if this was done, Leona would follow close behind so that, when Hitomi met the ropes at the other end of the ring and rebounded, it be the alter-ego's bicep that would flip her into the air with a spectacular clothesline.
