A Maiden's Maiden Match: Zhu Chao-Xing (D) vs Alice Evans

Match Type: Dockside Lei Tai 10 Count Match

Location: just outside a dockyard warehouse, on 24 by 24 wooden platform 4 feet off the ground and surrounded by an arrangement of 4 by 4 thinly padded wooden pallets 2 rows deep on each side, surrounded by steel barricades.

Victory condition: Be the only one on the Wooden platform for a full 10 seconds.


Chao-Xing would have a unique match for her debut at LAW. It was a Lei tai inspired match, on a private dockside on the Japanese coast. Unlike Lei tai knocking out, submitting or forcing her opponent off the platform she'd be fighting on wouldn't be enough to win. She had to keep her opponent of the platform for a full 10 seconds before being declared the victor.

This would make it a rather violent match, aside from the stipulations, the platform it's self would be about as hard as the edge of the typical wrestling ring apron, getting slammed to it would be an unpleasant experience, to say the least. As especially since it'd easily followed by an additional painful toss off the platform.

Introducing for the first time, in a Dockside Lei Tai 10 Count Match, The Maiden of Macau, Zhu Chao-Xing, The Crimson Lotus!

The Macau Lotus thought of all of this as she walked between one of the pair of bleachers surrounding the arrangement of pallets and platform. The outside speakers would blare her theme as she athletically vaulted on to the platform.

It was not that she didn't care for the fanfare, but that she wasn't looking to play into it only she had shown the LAW Universe what she could do. She would be directed to one corner of the platform by the official, who was mostly there to make the 10 count and prevent anything excessively dirty, like eye gouging and the like.

Chao-Xing would stand in place, with her hands on her hips, as she waited for her opponent.

The concept of a traditional Chinese themed match, where two opponents are matched against each other in pure MMA style, but adapted with much slimmer rules sounded like a risky gamble... like most of the No DQ proposals in L.A.W.!

In addition to the hard fall on the prowl, it was also clear how heavy the mutual beating they were going to give each other on the platform would be. Whoever risked participating and challenging Chao-Xing had to have hard bones and a very high pain threshold - or a masochistic taste for this no-rules style of wrestling to give the match a good debut and convince the management to bet on it as something lasting. Well, the English bar liked it!

This would be ironic, Alice also liked to keep things simple in her matches - she preferred to draw attention to herself by giving what she had to offer to her opponent than, with strident entrances, yet this match was an interesting proposition and they had to help make it stand up for what it was: a great proposition. So...

In the middle of the stands, right through the same entrance through which the owner of this platform introduced herself, the beautiful English brunette also entered the ring, standing in front of the entrance frame posing with her hands on her hips, proud and patient, covered by a sporty blue top and short leggings that were barely a thin fabric that offered no real protection for her costly body - but the professional MMA gloves and knee pads she wore did make a minimal difference.

She did not advance, she waited. As she had no musical cue, they took advantage of that to unleash a British military march to the sound of live drums; companions of hers who synchronously arranged themselves at each corner of Alice in a perfect march and grabbed one end of some wooden sticks on the ground and pulled to lift the stretch of track where Alice was standing! And it was they who moved her to the edge of the platform as the British Marching March continued. And with a mighty jolt of unison from the four, they gave their boss enough momentum to be catapulted into the air, and she forward somersaulted into the air to land dramatically on the inside of the platform, and then dramatically rose up to present herself as what she was, the challenger.

The victorious excitement in the stands for this level of style was felt, but Alice was only looking and paying attention to someone, the person on the other side of the platform and with whom she has to debut this platform. To her gave a half-smile and sagacious eyes by what was to come. All that was missing was for the companions to take their place around the arrangement of pallets and platform, as part of the audience, and for the instrumentation to finish so that the referee could call these two women in the centre of the platform and get this thing off to a good start...

Chao-Xing was not a particularly friendly person in general. However when it came to opposing combatants, she held them in complete contempt in nearly all circumstances. She was intending to beat them and they were intending to beat her. To accomplish that, she had to hurt her opponent and her opponent had to hurt her. To her, to feel empathy for an opponent could only lead to hesitation and hesitation could easily lead to defeat. It was up to the rules and the official to protect her oppoents well being and it was her job to harm it within the limits they set.

However the way that Alice came down to the platform, lead her to really despise her. She entered with a marching band, really? This woman need to be severely humbled. Her smug smile at her sealed it. It was a good thing this match had the stipulations that it did, but Chao-xing didnt want to this woman to the floor outside of the ring for a ten count, she wanted put this woman through the floor, for however long.

When the music finally stopped, the referee called them both to the centre, with the chinese woman ready to strike. The moment the bell rung, she'd feint a right footed high kick before, quickly moving the same foot for to druve a push kick to Alice's left knee and lastly another attempted push kick with the same foot to the redhead's chest.

If Alice was looking for a reaction, she got one with her braggin. Though it may not have been the fervent reaction she was hoping for.

Chao-Xing's attempt forced the Englishwoman to raise her arms defensively while leaning her body back to protect her head from the initial attack. As well as trying to catch with her open hands a high kick that never landed. Instead, her thigh would feel a strong thrust kick that was actually aimed at her knee, but because of the position her leg took, That had to change its target.

"Ggh!" And that impact almost forced her to waver, as well as making her gasp in pain and be exposed for an instant for her opponent to plunge a boot into her chest. "Guough!"

But she wouldn't go down for that - it would take more than a strong start to bring her down in a match as important as the debut of a new kind of combat for LAW. The brunette's hands would reach out to grasp that leg between her fingers and pull to bring herself towards Zhu and avoid going backwards, or pull it with her to the back. The Englishwoman would use the recoil of that kick to close the distance between them, regain her balance and pump a fake punch that would fold to reveal an elbow smash driven to the Chao-Xhing's jaw to even things up.

Also, Alice would play one more move quickly, she still had that other woman's leg clamped and extended by one of her hands, so, she would immediately raise that same arm she attacked her with to the ceiling to return it with a clothesline to the calf of her trapped leg to set up a Dragon screw leg-whip and bring it to the platform floor!

Chao-Xing's feignt worked like a charm, nobody liked getting kicked in the head, after all, which gave her all the space she needed for her to nearly kick her opponent's knee in Just nearly, unfortunately. The strike not landing exactly how she wanted it by chance was a nusiance. So she went to kick Amy in the chest, she really slammed her boot against her as though she was trying to break her sternum.

The problem with that, however, was that the kick lingered long enough on Amy's chest after impact that managed that she managed to grab it. Having done so, the brunette would reel it past her to close in on the macau woman. It'd be her time to fall for a feignt, first putting her forearms up for a jab, only to take a painful elbow to the side of her jaw.

To make matters worse, the woman would use the moment to slam her arm down into the maiden's leg, before twisting her to the ground with a dragon screw, both moves came with muffled groans of pain, she wouldn't cry out loud quite yet if she could help it.

Chao-Xing getting her leg targeted like this, it wasn't exactly conducive to a long fighting career, so her desire to make Amy pay in pain and defeat only grew as she attempted to get to her feet.

Alice was a tough woman indeed, not only did she take two furious blows, but she also managed to land her full combo on this other woman and leave her with a sore leg. As the Crimson Lotus was about to recover from that throw, the mere fact that it cost her showed that the leg whip did much more than just catapult her leaving her with an open window by where her next blow could come in! And the brunette was about to take that opening to give Chao-Xing a tough start. But, no sooner does she take the first step towards the other woman when her left leg trembles restraining her.

"Hmp-?" It was two fearsome blows from the macau woman, one to her chest and the other to her knee, and the second was the one that had just saved the representative of this arena from being tackled. But Alice was about to weather them completely! She could still seize the last moment of Zhu's vulnerability!

Sending those pain signals to the landing, the brunette cut the distance between the two accompanied by her arms on guard and with a sideways footwork - wich with the left leg behind the right to avoid another blow there - and launched her own push kick with right leg to the macau woman's abdomen to knock her off balance!

If she could do that, Alice would continue to invade her personal boxing space, not afraid to step into the lion's den if she herself could bite too. She would throw punches in various sectors meticulously to keep her doubled over and backing up - the face, the ribs or the sternum, even her jaw, always looking to knock her back and surprise her at every jab if the secretary could play her cards right and keep her down.

Zhu wanted to get something across to her with a difficult start and Alice was willing to take that and give her a bit of what she knows how to do to convey a message back to her.

If you asked Chao-Xing if she was a boxer, she'd vehemently deny it and insist that she was a striker. As far as she was concerned, her fists and feet were equal tools, to be used in combination. It was what made her a uniquely formidable figure on a Taekwondo mat, she'd gladly bare down on her opponent and hit them with punch after punch, thrown not only to score, but to hurt and stagger.

After all, it was easier to put up points on someone in pain than someone who wasn't and the end only power could secure a knockout victory in any case. She had little time for pepper her opponents, every punch or kick she put into someone always carried destructive intent.

Alice, for her part, seemed to get the message in between the macau woman targeting her chest and knee and chose to show her own prowess by challenging her by entering in striking range. To her annoyance, plenty strikes landed, though she managed to mostly guard her face, at the cost of eating a push kick to her gut.

Chao-Xing, however, was not a woman with a weak midsection, years of training had prepared it plenty, so this early in the match, recovery woukd be no issue. Instead, she stood back right abd with her foe close she grabbed her by her hair with her left hand, before feeding her a series of punches to the mouth and nose, before taking her the the ground with a leg sweep.

In an act that lacked her usual artfulness, the crimson Lotus aimed to place her left foot on Alice's throat and step down crush it against the wooden floor.

Alice was prepared to press hard in order to keep her opponent at bay. She assumed that Zhu, being someone who started with kicks rather than punches or grapples, might not exactly be skilled in short-range combat, and the impacts of her gloves on the macau woman's body validated it, moreover, the sound of her knuckles meeting her body felt rejuvenating to her. As if punishing her aggressiveness in this way felt like a good job.

What the miss didn't expect was that Zhu would break through the curtain of blows with a determined arm turned claw to grab her by the hair like an animal, changing all the secretary's plans. "Gu-" But before she could let out a complaint as she struggled with the grip, a punch landed in her mouth silencing her and pushing her head back, and was to be followed by several more. And although the Englishwoman put her palm in front of her nose to block one of the hits aimed there, Chao-Xing's fist rammed that hand into her face anyway. No matter how strong she was, Zhu was in control with that catfight grip and neither of Alice's hands were doing a very good job with the claw and the punches. But that insistence didn't last long, because Zhu would finish the combo by knocking her face up with a sweep and then crushing her throat with hers leg, widening her eyes as she splashed saliva and a drop of blood. "Gooug!"

And hers foot was beginning to press down with the full weight of Lotus' body to crush miss's throat, while Alice in turn jerks in a bridge and sputters accordingly. Her hands try to remove that foot from her neck, but she was having a hard time dealing with that too, and this position was only getting worse against her, with one corner of her mouth dripping a drop of blood and another gushing from her nose in remembrance of Zhu's fists, now in danger of having her windpipe ruptured as she began to choke. Surely someone is enjoying this. "Tssk.. tssk... D'ahg... Ga-aaag...!"

But gritting her teeth and frowning, the Englishwoman summoned the strength and determination to lift her whole body onto her shoulders to connect a knee strike to the front of the Macao woman's thigh while grabbing that heavy foot at toe and heel to help lighten the weight on her throat. Furthermore, with that strike she hoped to destabilise that limb enough so that her suspended legs could cross around the thigh and get into position for a reversal and take Chao-Xing down with a full body roll, but not without struggling to dislodge that foot and make an opening for her to slide her neck through and continue.

If Alice expected Chao-Xing to limit herself to formal strikes snd grapples, she would be in more plenty more additional pain. The Crimson Lotus had been in unground fights for money since her teens. She was plenty used to grabbing women by their hair and wailing on them, jist as she had done to Alice.

A landed punch was always satisfying, but punches on a target restricted from moving even more so. Alice had little choice but to dutifully eat her fist, she managed to block her face at one point with her hand snd the Macau woman just punched Alice's hand into her face.

After tripping her to the ground and putting her foot to her foe's throat, she really did do her best to put hee weight down on it. Sure, a submission or even a normal knockout wouldn't win her the match, but Alice certainly wouldn't be climbing back up to the platform with a crushed throat.

Chao-Xing made sure that Alice could see her smug smile as struggled to breath and fought to remove her foot, a smile that would remain until the bothersome brit managed to get one of her knee's up to strike her thigh. This did provide Alice with the opportunity to not only escape, but to take The Crimson Lotus down again.


She had, however, gained much enjoyment and benefit out of choking her opponent, not only to restrict breathing but to damage her throat. So still on the ground she'd try to lunge to grip Alice's throat and throttle her with both of her hands, with the aim deliberately pressing her thumb against the woman's windpipe.

Alice looked to be in trouble - serious trouble. Just when she had managed to overcome Chao-Xing's weight and lay her down on the mats for the second time, things were not getting any better for her. The English woman was not in the best state to get up and mount her opponent after almost being choked for one foot. And she didn't have much time to put herself together and understand the situation when the macau woman wanted to get on top of her, insistent!

Reaching for the English neck to press it to the floor and begin to crudely choke her. "Gak!"

Alice's eyes widened as she was plunged back into another relentless situation - and the Crimson Lotus could continue to abuse her carelessness, pressing an indiscreet thumb into the Alice's throat that made her jerk harder while a crooked noise was escaped her mouth in a cough. The brunette had to quickly set her fingers in motion to try to hook that thumb and keep it from sinking further into her neck whilst she was trying to struggle, shaking from side to side, reaching out one of her hands to grasp the other woman's distant face and get out of this predicament.

Nevertheless, her arm would never reach the face of the crimson lotus and her best ally was that same foreign sadism and same masochism hers. So the miss had to hold on a little longer, just long enough for Zhu to keep focusing on her neck and the sadistic pleasure she gets from treating her like this. Having her like this. With her on top and the European on the bottom.

The damage could put her in a very bad position for the rest of the match if Zhu Chao-Xing got her way. But if Alice could be smarter, maybe someone else will be worse off from this moment.
