Dana Ashford vs. Touka Akan - Old Acquaintances

Dana was pleasantly surprised that she would be facing Touka Akan, whom she met back a few times back then. And unlike her, Touka was new in this wrestling scene despite her family being wrestlers. It was during Ayane's time when she was still an active wrestler that she met Touka, and now, both Dana and Touka, already matriarchs of their own families, would be meeting each other in the ring.

Wearing her signature wrestling outfit; her leopard-print leotard, Dana would make her entrance as her music was played. Having her name announced, she made her entrance as the crowd showered her with mixture of boos and cheers. Showing her signature motherly smile, Dana made her way down the ramp, heading over to the ring where she would confront the other mother.

Entering the ring, Dana would wait for Touka to make her entrance as she headed over to her corner. Leaning against the turnbuckle and draping her arms over the ropes, she looked at the direction of the entrance so that she could see her opponent when she finally showed up. While Touka might be a newbie as a wrestler, she was still a part of a wrestling dynasty, and it was only reasonable to think that she would be a formidable foe.

When people heard the name Dana Ashford they might think of her time in the ring as a competitor which was not one that invoked pleasant memories because of her ruthless behavior in that ring despite her demeanor outside of it. Touka on the other hand was pleased to hear the name pop up when it was announced who her next opponent would be, Dana had been an old acquaintance of her family ever since she joined the wrestling scene. She had met wrestled, and sometimes teamed with her mom in impromptu matches, been a friendly face backstage the many times Touka had been there, she even recalled once she had wrestled her brother Hiroshi when he joined as well. Touka of course had never come to blows with Dana but they had always kept contact, Touka remembered hugging Dana when she announced she was pregnant, Dana likewise giving her congratulations when she found out she was having her first child, many meetings and never once had they ever had any disputes that left them leave on sour terms. She even briefly considered calling her when Kyoko first wanted to learn how to wrestle since she thought she'd be a good teacher, only changing her mind when she found out Dana was still active and busy. None of that mattered now when for the first time Touka and Dana would come to actual blows, she knew that this was not a match that she was likely to win but the thought that she could pull off the upset was too good to pass up, friend or not Touka had the same drive to win as much as anyone in her family and to be able to hold a win over someone she had known for so long was the perfect motivator. What came next didn't take much thinking, her music played and out Touka came looking more confident and determined than she'd ever been before now. Her recent matches and her big victory over Eirina had showed her that she could still make a living off this even in her late years like this and now that she had that she wasn't going to let Dana's track record intimidate her. She stepped into the ring and pointed a finger at Dana before stepping in close and giving her a big old hug.

"You need to tell me what you use. You look even prettier than the last time I saw you Dana? How are you and the kids doing? I know Ryan's getting married, you have to let me know the details so I can send a gift in case I can't be there." Touka said before giving Dana a peck on the cheek and stepping back. She looked completely comfortable in the ring, nothing like how she did when she first entered and had some clear nerves to get out of the way, maybe it was the matches she had already done or the fact she was in here with someone she trusted but what mattered was that this was no longer an unfamiliar sight to Touka.

Dana smiled as Touka showed up. She waited for her to enter the ring, and as soon as the two of them were sharing the ring, Touka pointed a finger at her before she gave her a big hug. Dana chuckled as she also gave Touka a hug in return. "Oh my, you're still quite a flatterer, Touka. And beautiful too. Of course, I'm planning to extend an invitation to you to Ryan's wedding soon, and I'd be delighted to have you join us that day." She loved the affection given by the other woman, but shortly after this, they would wrestle each other, and it would be a rough and violent affair.

Stepping back, Dana rolled her shoulders as she readied herself for the match. "This is the first time we're sharing a ring together, right? At least against each other. I wonder how good you are, considering that you haven't been wrestling for long, at least compared to the rest of your family." Showcasing her signature smile, Dana was ready for the match between the two of them. "Well, just because it's you doesn't mean I'm going to hold back. Let's see what you're made of, Touka..." She would wait for the match to begin between the two of them, and the crowd was pumped as they waited for the bell to ring.

Dana returned Touka's hug and pleasant conversation, like she knew she would given the history between them. "Dana you're far too kind." Touka said when Dana said she was beautiful, and was glad to know she would be at Ryan's wedding. Soon Dana was preparing herself for the match, as fun as this was the Ashford matriarch was a focused woman and friendship was never going to dull that edge. Touka knew that before she even walked in that once the bell rang she would be treated like any other person Dana met in this ring, the sharp turn she took that separated herself outside of the ring with the one it was one thing about her that everyone who knew her was aware of.

"First time ever, we should make it special. I don't expect you to hold back, wouldn't want anyone thinking you're getting soft." Touka said as she prepared herself, despite everything she felt a little nervous since she knew Dana so well. She knew exactly what to expect and with Dana you were never going to be able to walk in and get an easy win, she made you work for it and Touka expected to walk out of her stretched out and sore before the match was half over.

Dana nodded to her once they were done exchanging words. Then, the bell was sounded, and Dana would get into position, taking a stance as she would bring her hands up in preparation for a lock up with Touka. Now that the match had begun, Dana would start circling her opponent, carefully watching her as she held her hands up.

Then, she would surge forth, seemingly going to lock up with Touka. But as she got closer, Dana would immediately slip to the side, displaying incredible agility and fluidity for someone her size as she would hook her arm around Touka's head, wrapping it around her so that she could put her into an inverted headlock, forcing the other woman to look upwards to the ceiling.

So now it was time to fight her long time friend, she never thought she would end up wrestling Dana at all but now that it was happening it felt right. Like it was meant to happen and she was as excited as she was as if she had been waiting for it all this time. The bell rang and the two moved in with no extra words were needed, it was time for action. Touka wanted to lock up to start as she knew enough to think it was a good place to, but she was stopped by Dana sliding past her with astounding speed and quickly slinking in behind her. Pulling her head backwards in a reverse headlock and catching Touka in a bad spot right at the beginning.

"Nggh..dang it." Touka muttered, this was not a hold she was used to. She was thinking of how to turn her body to get out but Dana had her locked in tight so all she could do for now was push on Dana's arms and try to free herself somehow. But looking up at the lights this early was a bit disorienting and Touka struggled to actually get anywhere, for now she was waiting on Dana's next play.

Successfully catching Touka in the inverted headlock, Dana would begin wrenching her head as she resisted the other woman's attempt to break free. Of course, she wasn't planning to end this match with this move, and the match itself had only just began. There were many things she could do to follow this up, though she was planning to do something explosive because she wanted to show it to Touka that she meant business here in this match.

After wrenching Touka's head for a bit, Dana decided to follow it up by falling backwards, bringing Touka's head into the mat with an inverted DDT! She would hit the mat with the back of her head, and it would hurt a lot. Right after executing the move, Dana would release her head before scooting back so that she could see how much damage that she had dealt on her old friend.

Touka's position was not one she was used to, even if she had seen it before actually experiencing it showed her just how odd it was for the victim. She couldn't really see what to do and being upside down messed with her head, and her sense of what to grab and where it is. Dana didn't keep her like this for very long, but what she did do was much worse by falling back and dropping her with a DDT.

"Aaauggh!" Touka screamed as she landed on her crown. Dana didn't hold back anything, not even on her first real move of the match and Touka knew from the growing pain across her skull that she was going to be feeling that all day. She rolled to her side, but her arms were around her head, leaving Dana with the run of the place while she recovered.

Successfully executing the move, Dana looked at Touka for a second before she bent down to grab her. Then, she would pull her up as she planned her next move. At first, she considered apologizing, but she didn't want to appear too soft to her longtime friend, so she decided against it.

Once she brought Touka back to her feet, Dana would hold onto her hand before sending her running towards the ropes. Then, after having her rebound back from the ropes, Dana would hold out her arm and step forth, looking to hit Touka with a mighty lariat!

Touka should have expected that once Dana had control she would hold onto it and pull Dana every way she wanted to until she could win, and the only way to stop that was to show Dana that Touka meant business. Being dragged up again she was set up and thrown into the ropes, bouncing off them to come running right back at Dana who was waiting for her with something else. Touka only had moment to decide what to do and she decided that since Dana was up straight she might have been planning to grab or hit her so Touka would do something to prepare for that.

Once she was close Touka would try to go low and use her speed to charge at Dana from a lower position, throwing her shoulder into Dana's gut and hitting her with a slightly stronger shoulder tackle. Touka would fall to the side and land on her butt after pulling ot off but if it hit she might have surprised Dana for the first time since the match started.
