Clara Gaster vs Alaina Sanders

"In...out..."

Clara took deep breaths, in and out, calming herself down.

This was definitely the biggest match she could possibly take, outside of actually challenging for LAW Lightweight or Openweight titles again. But as she asked the booking department about giving her the most difficult match to prove herself, they certainly delivered.

"In...out..."

The last time she faced Alaina was in a fun, 2 v 1 match of her own making. Today it would fall under the category of a "cinematic match"... but even then, even with Asuka at the time, she couldn't defeat the Amazon.

Clara shook her head.

That was 7 years ago now. She was older, she was more experienced and more skilled. She almost beat the Openweight champion. She was going to beat the Heavyweight champion tonight to prove her claim for that belt.

A worker knocked on the door of her locker room, telling her that it was 2 minutes to her entrance...

GASTER's new theme tune started playing, as she came out onto the entrance ramp in her signature GASTER mask and a new attire. Letting out her signature laugh, she made her way down the entrance ramp, greeting people in the front row seats, and high-fiving those willing to meet hands with the Shadow Lord (of which there were a lot). Soon enough, she rolled inside the ring, letting out another "Mwahahaha!" laugh, before slowly taking off her mask with one hand, and her hoodie with another, throwing them back to reveal Clara Gaster!

As her final action, Clara struck a V shape with her fingers at her eye, winking at the fans, before walking back towards her corner.

"In...out..."

She could still feel the heart beating in her chest. She was nervous...almost as nervous as when she faced Astrid. She wanted to pass tonight's test, she wanted to prove to herself, to management, to Astrid, that she was good enough for another title shot...

Alaina was going up against a woman who she faced a long time ago, and a woman who had just challenged for thr openweight title. To Alaina it seemed like Clara Gaster was treating the amazon champion like some stepping stone.

That was not going to fly in that ring tonight.

Clad in a one piece tiger print swimsuit with matching kneepads and boots Alaina was ready to roll. She came out into the arena as the crowd roared, holding her title high before flexing to show off her figure. After a moment Alaina stomped her way down the ramp high fiving fans but keeping her stare focused on Clara. Alaina climbed up ontonthe apron and through the ropes, posing with the title before hanging it off to the ref.

Alaina looked at Clara and then made her way to her corner to stretch ready to go!

Alaina entered in her classic tiger stripped attire, proudly carrying her title to the fans, as she entered the ring, proudly showcasing her physique and title.

Once the title was passed off to the ref, who passed it to the timekeeper for safekeeping, Alaina kept her gaze firmly on Clara… and Clara’s eyes haven’t left Alaina ever since she came out to the ring.

It was hard not to geek out for Clara. She was always a fan of the Amazon, even as a young girl, wishing to be big, strong and powerful like her, while also having a bit of a crush on her, even today.

She shook the distracting thoughts from her head. She needed to focus on the match. She needed to beat Alaina tonight.

With the ref asking whether she was ready for the match, Clara nodded. Once Alaina did the same…

”DING!…”

The bell rang, and at the first bell onward, the Brit rushed out of her corner towards the Amazon!

”…DING!…”

At the second bell, Clara jumped up in mid-air, aiming her feet forward as she sailed through the air from her momentum!

”…DING!”

Once the bell finished ringing, Clara was already landing her feet onto Alaina’s chest!

Alaina was in her corner holding her hands up as the bell rang, looking out at the crowd. However as the bell was ringing she looked back to Clara and stepped out... only for Clara to already be on top of her! The dropkicks smashed the unprepared amazon in the chest sending her falling back into the corner! "Ugh!"

Alaina's arms were draped over the top rope and she stomped the mat as her thigh trembled. She shook her head as her chest throbbed with Clara striking first stunning Alaina for just a moment as she was not expecting to be pounced by the smaller grappler so quickly!

Clara wasn’t playing around. Jumping at the bell was maybe bending the rules slightly, but one had to be prepared for battle the moment the bell rung. It was hard to judge when the opponent was ready for an attack like this, which is why Clara didn’t over use jumping the bell too often. In fact, this might’ve been the first time she did that outside of her match with Baroness.

But Alaina was difficult enough an opponent who deserved Clara’s best. And she was bringing it to her. With Alaina trapped in the corner, the next move for the rising Shadow Lord was clear. She swiftly wound up her arm, before trying to slam it on top of the Amazon’s chest for a Knife Edge Chop!

"Ugh! You little..." Alaina hissed as she shook her head rubbing her chest. The chop hurt but not enough for her to be too stunned to try swinging back! Alaina was not in a great position but she wasn't just going to sit there and take it. The amazon did not have much room to work with but she stepped out swinging a hard forearm towards Clara's chest to get her to back off, hoping to land a hit that sent the smaller woman staggering back or falling to the mat if it hit!

Clara’s hit connected! Driving a bit of air from the Amazon’s lungs, the Brit would wind up her arm once more, trying to ram it into Alaina’s body…only for the champion to try and swat Clara away by stepping forward, and ramming her forearm into her chest!

”GYAAH!!!”

Clara took a step back, rubbing her chest as her breathing briefly stopped, her knees shaking from the strike as the Brit was determined to not fall down. Still, Clara tried to continue her attacks, approaching Alaina with a balled fist, as she aimed for her gut!

"OOMPH!" Alaina groaned as she stumbled back a step. She shook her head and wanted to put this little speedy wrestler in her place. She wanted to put her in her place right now! Alaina surged forward stepping right up to Clara and extending her arm looking to clothesline her right out of her boots if she could! Alaina remembered this woman and the embarrassment of being caught off guard by her speedy attack was fresh. It was a wound that would only close by sending Clara right down to the canvas.

Clara couldn’t waste a single movement, not a single second that would allow Alaina to recover. Any moment spent not attacking was a moment Alaina could use to strike her down…

…a theory that proved itself right, after Clara’s punch. Alaina stepped back, and, winding her arm, stepped forward towards the Brit, ramming her forearm into her head, Clotheslining her with a thunderous impact onto the floor!

”MMMMGGGH!!!”, Clara groaned, but swiftly tried to turn to her fours, needing to get back to her feet, no matter how much her head hurt after the strike!

Alaina sent Clara down and knew she had to act. She grabbed at Clara's arm trying to whip Clara to the ropes. Alaina stepped on her return path looking to reach out and grab Clara for a powerslam to the mat! Alaina knew she had to establish herself against this spark plug of an opponent otherwise the amazon would be in trouble.
